"No, I wanted... fine, fine." Teana peered over to see her husband loudly addressing a servant who was seeing to their carriage and travel. Atem was mumbling about something and didn't even seem to notice Teana walk over to him, until she gently hugged him from behind and put her head on his shoulder.

"Worrying again?" She whispered in his ear. "What have I said about doing that?" Her breath tickled into his ear.

He turned to face her, guilty as charged. Teana let go of him as Atem put his hands up. "Alright, as the lady wishes." She giggled at him.

"Come," she grabbed his hand," let us have breakfast in the courtyard today before we leave." She said, leading that way.

During the journey...

"I am so excited!" Teana squealed looking out the carriage window. "Only a while longer until I am finally home again!"

"Yes, yes. I know." he grabbed her hand and put it up to his lips to kiss. "As long as you remember that you have a new home now as well, and do not stay there forever." He brought her hand to his cheek. "I could not bear that."

"I could not do that to you could I?" She mockingly put her hand to her chest, as she leaned closer to Atem and flashed a smile.

"You better not..." Atem playfully threatened.

"Uh-huh," she pointed a finger at Atem and touched his chest with it, "so what are you sir, Pharaoh of all of Egypt going to do, if I do not?" She questioned, grinning mischievously.

"Oh, you would like to know would you not?"

"Uh-huh."

Atem smirked. "You forget love, I am not only the Pharaoh, but one of the most powerful men in the world! I have one of the most largest, glorious armies around! I am sure I could make arrangements to get you home." He gave a grin showing of his teeth.

"Oh?" Teana fluttered her eyes. "You would dare send your army after me? You would dare let them take me?"

Atem continued to grin. "Fear not, beautiful lady. I would not dare have them personally retrieve you. They would only pave the way." Atem half bowed in his seat. "That honor would be all mine."

"I see. However, how would you get past me and my own personal defense?"

Atem shrugged. "That would be a quite simple task."

This surprised Teana. She grunted. "Mhm, you forget darling, I am quite skilled in combat..."

Atem gave a fake gasp. "Strike your sire, you would?"

Teana closed her eyes as she shrugged. "Mmm?"

"It does not matter, I do not need to engage in combat with you to get you to come back with me."

"Oh? Is that so? Whatever shall you try?" She rolled her eyes.

Atem smirked once more. "It's quite simple really, I can just charm you with my dashing self."

Teana began to laugh, before Atem covered her mouth with his own. Teana's laugh died down immediately at the contact and she succumbed to kiss a few seconds later and wrapped her arms around Atem's neck.

Some moments later, after they retreated from the kiss, Atem's smirk returned. "See?" He gestured with his hands. "You are no match for my dashing good looks and..."

Teana laughed and whacked his arm and moved to kiss him again, which he responded to favorably. "Perhaps it is my dashing good looks and charm that can rival your own.

Atem sighed shaking his head back and forth. "You could be right."

Teana flipped her hair as she winked. "Of course I am!"

It was at that moment the carriage came to a halt. Teana sucked in a breath of air. She carefully proceeded to pull back the curtains to look out the window as if in disbelief of being back home.

"Atem! We have arrived!" She yelled excitedly. A knock was heard from the door.

"You may proceed." Atem's composed voice rang out.

The servant opened the door as Teana rushed to get off with the assistance with the servant as she sang out, "I cannot believe I am finally here!" Atem quickly followed out afterwards, happy at his wife's immense pleasure in returning to Nubia.

He stepped out of the carriage observing his surroundings. The palace was indeed beautiful like his own. He began to muse that this must have been how Teana must have felt when she first arrived at Egypt, except she would have been a bit more nervous meeting him for the first time.

Atem and Teana readily walked into the palace as the guards opened the doors smiling at their princess's return. They were directed to the throne room and when the doors opened, Atem saw Teana's parents pleasantly seated at their thrones. Teana wasted no time in dashing towards them as the two themselves stood up and embraced their daughter. She was still rather young, only seventeen summers.

Atem casually and calmly walked up to them unsure of what to do. The situation was a bit awkward to him. These were his in-laws. Sure he had met with them before, although separately, but that was before he and Teana had wed.

"I missed you both, oh so very much." Teana teared up.

"As did we dear." Her father comfortingly placed a hand on his shoulder as he noticed Atem in the background. "Ah, Pharaoh Atem!" He gestured, as Teana swiftly stepped to the side.

Atem cautiously stepped up to the throne and bowed. King Hassan warmly patted him on the back. "Good to have you here, my son." Atem nervously smiled.

"Atem!" The Queen greeted warmly. "How wonderful you are joining us." Atem was pleased at her greeting. She seemed to be genuinely welcoming now. He shivered at the memory of how protective she was of Teana, back when he met her in Egypt. He could not blame her, however. If it had been he, he would have done the same. Atem realized at that moment he hoped his child wouldn't be a girl. Ra knows how protective he would be of her... He was already enough protective of his own wife. A daughter would be quite difficult to handle, especially as the first born.

"These were your chambers?" Atem asked his eyes widening around him.

Teana made a face."Yes, why? Is it too feminine for you? If you desire, I can arrange for you to sleep in a separate chamber than mine." She teased.

It was Atem's turn to make a face. "No, no. This is fine. I was just looking to see how you must have been before we got married and you met me."

Teana shrugged as she opened her curtains."I have changed quite a lot since then." She smiled, turning back to look at her husband. She turned down and rested her hands on her bulging stomach. "Look at me now! I have gained quite an amount of weight and," she paused, "I am going to be a mother!" She sighed. "Well, it was bound to happen anyway. It is the whole reason we were arranged to marry were we not?"

Atem blinked and slowly walked up to the brown-haired queen. He grabbed her hands. "Maybe." He smirked, "but I do believe we got much more than just a baby out of this arrangement, do you not think so?"

Teana momentarily closed her eyes and smiled. "Maybe." She tilted her head and leaned up to graze her lips against Atem's. Atem would have none of that, he quickly grabbed his wife's cheeks so he could fully kiss her. Teana giggled after that.

Atem smirked, coming back from the kiss. "Are you retreating back to your childish ways now that we are back to the place of your early years?"

"Absolutely not. I am merely prepping myself!" She laughed.

"Prepping yourself? Whatever for?"

Teana threw her hands in the air. "The baby of course!" She pointed her finger back and forth at him. "You need to loosen up if you are going to be a father!"

Atem rolled his eyes. "Well, I am not a father yet. We shall see when he arrives."

"Or she..."

Atem sighed. "Or she." Teana smiled at him. "At this point," he added, "all I am hoping for is that I will not be blessed with twins, or triplets, or... what do you can those that are born in a set of four?"

"Quadruplets!" Teana exclaimed.

"Oh dear Ra no! One healthy child is all I desire!" Atem shivered.

"If it were not for I being the one who would have to go through the pains of labor and being their mother, I would have said perhaps it would be quite amusing to see you handle such a fine, fine number of babies."

"Oh no. It is quite alrighy. All I need is one to rule after me and I shall be fine." Atem breathed.

"Of course." Teana winked.

Ahem, now back to things... This was mostly fluffy, flirty chapter between Atem and Teana. :D You can really see how much their relationship has changed from the beginning. They're also finally in Nubia now and Teana is very happy about that. Teana has three months left before the baby is born (I changed it to three because two was a rather short time) so Atem and Teana have started thinking about their future a little. Teana has also warmed up to the idea of the baby considerably. What in store for them next, hm?

Guess you're going to have to wait until next time! Please review! ;)
