Disclaimer: I do not own RWBY. If I did, one it wouldn't be nearly as awesome, and two I wouldn't be in High School. I'd be in my secluded mansion where I don't have to worry about living breathing people annoying me unless I choose to (which I doubt I would). Chapter 9: A Mother Returns

-Previously-

Saphire and Ruby start to walk into the room they have just been staring at.

Ruby: How is this possible? No one knew about our secret Rose Garden but us.

Saphire: Not to mention it was abandoned the day I was kidnapped. We haven't been there since.

?: A Mother likes to keep track of her kittens.

Ruby and Saphire both freeze after hearing the voice that just spoke to them. After a few seconds tears start to make their way down the twins' faces and they turn around and tackle hug the person who just spoke.

Ruby: *sob* Mommy!

Saphire: *sob* I can't believe you're really here!

-Present-

Mother: (calming her laughter) Did my two favorite kittens miss me?

Saphire and Ruby couldn't even respond, so instead they just held on tighter.

Mother: I'll take that as a yes.

Yang: (mouth gaping) …

Weiss: (mouth gaping) …

Blake: (mouth gaping) …

Mother: (just noticing the other three girls) Oh. Hello. Who are you?

Blake: Uh… Um… I… I'm Blake Belladonna.

Yang: Uh… Yeah… I'm Yang Xiao Long.

Weiss: (big surprise, the one with the most experience is the last to compose herself) I… I… I'm Weiss Schnee.

Ruby: Mom. These are our teammates. Yang is also my adoptive older sister.

Mother: Remind me to have a long talk with your father about that last statement.

-Sometime Later In The Headmaster's Office-

Door: *knock* *knock**knock**knock**knock* *knock**knock*

Headmaster: Come in.

In walks Weiss, then Blake and Yang, followed by Ruby and Saphire (who have giant grins on their faces), and finally…

Headmaster: *gaping like a fish* I-Is that you Crystal?

Mother: Why yes it is husband.

Headmaster: I can't believe it. You've returned.

Mother: And I can't believe you'd tell everyone that our daughters are Faunus without discussing it with them first. What were you thinking?!

Headmaster: (trying to back away slowly not realizing he is against a wall) Um…

Mother: Never mind. I don't want to know. You're lucky I have the ability to create gaps in people's memories without them knowing.

In the background you can see Ruby grinning. No one notices this because they are focused on the conversation, but if they had they would become cautious around her.

Mother: (turning to Ruby and Saphire) It is up to you girls if you want everyone to know or not.

Ruby: (acting 'normal' again) It may cause a lot of trouble for us and those around us if word gets out.

Saphire: I agree. It's better to be safe than to risk other people's lives.

Mother: (nodding) That's what I thought. What about your teammates?

Saphire: They deserve to know.

Ruby: (unnoticed to anyone tenses up) Yeah. I agree. 'Crap. This may cause some trouble for me. I'll have to alter my plans.'

Mother: Ok then. Those who want to keep their memories should close their eyes.

Everyone in the room closes their eyes. Seconds later a bright light of the viewer's favorite color causes everyone to go blind for a second. Throughout the school students stop to watch the light show, some seeing red, some blue, some green, etcetera etcetera. After the lightshow everyone just moves on like nothing happened, and with no memory of two specific girls being Faunus.

Mother: Ok, that should do it. You can open your eyes everyone. (everyone opens their eyes except for Ruby) Ruby. You can open your eyes now… Ruby? Is something wrong?

Saphire: (getting very worried) Ruby! Enough playing around you're starting to scare me! Ruby!?

-In Ruby's Mind-

Ruby: (kneeling) Madam.

?: What is it you need my child?

Ruby: (not meeting eye contact) We have a problem. We need to revise The Plan.

?: Do we now. Why is that?

Ruby: The one's I am forced to call teammates were allowed to keep their memories of me being a Faunus. This will cause trouble in obtaining BB.

?: That IS a problem, isn't it? Don't worry I'm sure you will do what is best and most proficient. I only ask that you keep me updated on events.

Ruby: Thank you for understanding Madam.

?: Enough with that Madam stuff. You are as much part of this family as your older brother and sister. You can address me like they do.

Ruby: (making eye contact for the first time) Yes Cinder.

Cinder: Stage two will start soon. I expect to be seeing you in person with you brother and sister by second semester.

Ruby: I'll be looking forward to seeing you again.

-Author's Notes-

Sorry for the long wait. I couldn't get myself to get my lazy but up and finish this chapter. But I'm glad I didn't finish until now. Yeah random inspiration that comes out of nowhere. What is this plan? Why is Ruby part of Cinder's family? Why does Cinder want Blake? Why am I so lazy when not in school? Will I ever finish the first chapter of another story before I go insane (answer 50/50 chance)? Why am I asking you these questions when I'm the only one who can possibly answer them with some degree of certainty? Please review. I love all comments, because I ignore all comments I don't like.
