And I have re listened almost the whole Welcome to Night Vale podcast in a week. I listened to 16 and a half episodes in one day. That's about 7 hours. It took me a week to listen to them all, including the Debate and Condos.
Thanks for reviewes, follows and favorites! Means really much to me.
So, new chapter!
Blaine was nervous as hell.
He was going to meet Kurt at 10am at The Lima Bean for some coffee. And he was freaking out.
What would he say? He wanted to talk about his feelings and their relationship but he didn't understand what he was feelings. And what happened to them? Would their friendship be destroyed? Blaine didn't want that, that was the last thing he wanted. Or if Blaine would pretend it had never happened, would Kurt get hurt? How did Kurt feel for Blaine? He had kissed Blaine back, but what did that mean? And if they tried dating, what would happened? Would they break up and never speak to each other again? What if Blaine found out he didn't wanna date a boy?
He still couldn't get around how love can be limited. How you could be born and not be able to love some people. Wouldn't the world make much more sense if everyone was like, pan?
This was all a mystery for Blaine, who for now gave up trying to understand it.
Kurt was standing and looking at his wardrobe, not being able to choose.
He was trying to pick an outfit for he dat- not date, meeting with Blaine. His winter break had been nice, but he had been waiting for someone to try and talk to him. And now when it happened he didn't know what to do.
He didn't know what was going to happened to him and Blaine, but he didn't want them to stop being friends. And no matter if Blaine didn't like him back and wanted to pretend like that night never had happened Kurt would let him, because he was hopelessly in love. Even if it hurt, he would do that if it meant keeping Blaine as a friend.
He tried shake of the bad thoughts and went back to choosing clothes. He wanted to look his best for Blaine.
He finally settled for a grey shirt, a pair of black tight pants, a white west and a scarf. He couldn't choose between the black one of the grey with white stripes. He sat trying to choose, as his phone started to ring. He looked and saw an reminder that it was 20 minutes left and he started panicking. He went to the mirror and put both on, at last deciding for the grey one. He ran down the stairs and started to put on his almost knee high Doc Martins with a black leather jacket. It matched his hair, which was tamed but spiky.
"So, you're going out with Blaine?" Kurt jumped in surprise and turned, he hadn't hear his dad enter the room.
"I'm gonna get coffee with my friend." Kurt said and sighed. His dad muttered something that sounded like a sarcastic "sure" but Kurt didn't care.
"Bye dad!" He shouted as he opened the door and walked out. When he closed the door his face cracked up and he started smiling. He was so happy, no matter how nervous he was. He was finally going to see Blaine and he was so exited. He jumped into the car, deciding that no matter what, meeting Blaine was worth it.
Blaine sits in his car, waiting for Kurt. He had been thinking some more about what he was going to say, but the decided to just say what came to his mind. Which maybe wasn't the best idea, but oh well.
He looked up as he heard a car drive in next to his. It was Kurt. When he saw Blaine he smiled and waved, and Blaine somehow managed to wave back. They stepped out of their cars at the same time and Blaine's car was closest to the Lima Bean so he waited a few seconds. And then, well shit.
Kurt looked amazing. He was wearing a leather jacket that was a little open right now, reviling a grey shirt and showing of his scarf. He was wearing tight black pants that Blaine isn't going to comment plus almost knee high Doc Martins. Wow.
"Hi Blaine!"
"You look great." This is why Blaine tried to figure out what he was going to say before. Now he was just blurting out stuff, good job.
"Oh, uhm, thanks." Kurt said and blushed. Why did he have to be so cute when he blushed?
"We should go in." Blaine broke the two seconds silence and Kurt nodded. When they were in the Lima Bean they talked a little easier, about normal everyday stuff. They talked about their break and what they had gotten for christmas. They talked about school and their family's, Kurt updating Blaine on how it was going with Burt's dating and Blaine telling Kurt about how happy Solivan had been over the gift Kurt had sent to her.
Blaine's eyes went to the clock at the wall, and was first a little shocked of what stood on it. It stood 7.23, and he was pretty sure the clock wasn't 7.23. He then realized that the clock had stopped and that it obviously wasn't 7.23.
"The clock is broken." He said stated and Kurt looked up from his coffee. Kurt turned his head and looked at the clock. He turned back to Blaine and nodded quietly. Blaine took up his phone to look at the time but when it refused to start he realized that neither the clock or his phone had battery. He sighed and put it in his pocket again.
Kurt looked at him as if to say "What is wrong?" but he still didn't speak.
"It had no battery left, so I still don't know what the clock is." He explained and before he even was done with his sentence, Kurt had his phone up.
"It's 10.49 PM." He said and turned his phone so Blaine also could see it. And yes, it was 10.49 PM.
They continued to chat and Blaine was now thinking of suggesting they went to a more... private place, because he wanted to talk a little. But that was kind of interrupted, because just as Kurt was done talking about why he loved cheesecake when something happened.
A bang, like the one you hear when a firework explodes went trough the room. Everyone looked confused for a moment, until the fire alarm went of. Then panic spread across the room. People started running out of the shop. When Kurt and Blaine were running the shop it was filled with smoke and you could see the fire coming out of one of the room where the fireworks went off.
It was hard to see each other when all the people was in the way, it was a really crowded day today. They lost each other in the crowd when they were running out, and both of them got really worried that the other was still in the building.
The police, firefighters and ambulance arrived and Kurt was standing outside, looking for Blaine. The fire had grown big fast and when the firefighters where there smoke was coming out of the building. Media was here and he had already talked with his worried father, explaining he was fine and he would be home when he had found Blaine. He had seen some people get moved into the ambulance but he hadn't seen any faces, so he didn't know if Blaine was in one of them.
After an half hour of looking he gave up and went home, worried. He called Blaine's phone, even if he knew it was out of battery when he left, maybe he had charged it now.
Later that day he was worried as hell and and angry because Blaine should called him but worried because what if Blaine was actually hurt and oh my but he was angry...
This kept going for a while. Until Blaine called him. Kurt grabbed his phone and answered, but didn't say anything because he didn't know what to say.
"Uhm, hi Kurt. Sorry I haven't answered, I haven't had time to charge my phone. I'm, uhm, at the hospital." Kurt froze. Hospital. Blaine had been injured. In the fire.
"What, what happened? How are you?" He asked nervously. He had no idea what had happened, why Blaine was in hospital.
"I'm good. Uhm, I kind of got stuck, and I breathed in some smoke but not so much and just some small burns. I don't know when I'll get out." Blaine explained as Kurt breathed out. Okay, just some small injuries, nothing seroius.
"That's, that's good." I hope. "Can I come and see you sometime?"
"Yeah, sure. Tomorrow I think is fine, I'll text you the details. Okay?"
"Okay."
DONE!
If you wanna be the nicest human ( or other thing ) on earth ( or other planet ) leave a review? Pretty please?
Two questions: TFIOS reference? Anyone? And: How long would you say Blaine would stay in hospital? I'm gonna do some research but I just wanna check if anyone knows?
Well, good night, Nigt Vale, good night.
