I don't own Austin & Ally
Ally's POV
"Austin, would you please stop worrying? It was cute and sweet for a while, but you're pushing the limit on becoming annoying. The doctor said I'm fine, the babies are fine, and we were all free to go home", I assured my husband who I was getting ready to slap. I'm not usually this temperamental, but I'm pregnant and I just want to go home before I'm too far along that I can't travel anymore. It's not that I don't love Tennessee; I just really want to have my babies in Miami where my home is.
"Sorry Ally, I'm just a bit paranoid. It seems so surreal that all the drama we went through for well over a year now is all finally over", Austin said. I smiled up at him.
"Don't worry about it anymore Austin. The Freemans and all of our evil birth parents are locked away and they're changed people now. Why don't we just go home and focus on our children, and then we can also start focusing on our singing careers since mine and Maddie's have only lasted a day", I reminded him.
"Okay, okay. So, how much longer until the babies will be born?", Austin asked. He sounds just like a little kid.
"Yeah Mommy, when will I finally get to be a big sister?", Ella asked in the same tone. I rolled my eyes. See? Austin sounds exactly like a child!
"Hush children. We still have a good five to six months left to go", I said smiling at their disappointed faces.
"But I wanna be a big sister now", Ella whined. Austin reached down and picked her up since neither of them let me doing that anymore.
"Ella, the babies don't have to be born yet for you to be a big sister", I told her.
"Really?", she asked in a small voice.
"Really", I smiled.
"How?"
"Sweetie, do you already love the babies, even though they aren't born yet?", I asked.
"Yeah, but what's that got to do with anything?", she asked. I smiled.
"Ella, just by loving them you're already being the best big sister this world could ever ask for", I told her.
"Really, because I feel like I gotta try harder to be an extra great big sister since I won't really be their big sister. I want them to at least like me", she said innocently.
"Sunshine, I just know they're going to love you just as much as you love them", Austin said to her. I smiled again.
"That's true baby, they're going to love you so much. You know, we don't have to tell the babies that we adopted you, because it wouldn't matter anyway. You're our daughter and these babies' sister no matter what", I assured her.
"Thanks Mommy, thanks Daddy", she said hugging us both. I smiled for like the hundredth time today. I have my whole family back together, and safe. Nobody was hurt, Ella's fine, Austin's fine, Trish was only a little shaken up but Dez helped her through that, little Bri is just a healthy new born baby like she should be, and everything just feels right with the world for once in my life. I really hope it stays that way for a long time.
Kelsey's POV
"Mom! Daddy!", I yelled, running over to my parents in the hospital waiting room. Yes, I still call my dad Daddy; get over it. Anyway, they said Bri and Ally would be back out in a few minutes so we shouldn't be here long.
"What's wrong!?", they both immediately asked worriedly. I could see the rest of our family/friends looked over to me in alert as well. Oops, I guess I scared them.
"Sorry, nothing's wrong. I just really need to talk to you", I said pulling them to the side so no one else could hear.
"What's on your mind sweetie?", my mom asked. I sighed.
"Alyssa"
"Porter's little sister? The one that told you and Toby to leave?", Mom asked. I nodded. "What about her?"
"She doesn't have anywhere to go", I said sadly.
"What do you mean baby? Where's her family?", Daddy asked.
"Her parents died in a car crash, her brother used to work for criminals without knowing and is now out of work so she doesn't think the state would let her stay with him, and she has no one else! The state's going to take her to some foster home away from her only living family and the only town she's ever known!", I cried.
"Over my dead body", Mom said turning around and walking away. My dad and I shared confused glances before heading after her.
"Claire honey, what did you mean by that?", my dad asked her.
"We're not letting them take that little girl away Daryl. She's our daughter's age for goodness sakes! We can't just let that happen to her!", Mom cried.
"I'm with Mom", I said. "Alyssa's the only friend I have now, and I'm not about to watch her get taken away from everything she cares about when she did so much for me and Toby"
"Then what are we waiting for? We have to go ask that little girl to come live with us", Daddy said making me and Mom smile widely.
"Alyssa!", I yelled, running over to her. Apparently she was asleep in the hospital chair, causing her to jump up in surprise with a confused look on her face.
"Huh? What? Oh, hey Kelsey, what's up?", she asked once she was finally aware of her surroundings. I just noticed Porter was sitting in the chair beside her, chuckling at his little sister's behavior. I feel bad that he can't keep her with him. I mean, the poor boy worked so hard to take care of her when he was only a kid himself, and never wanted to be separated from her…which is exactly what we were doing. It was obvious that he loved her so much, just like I love Toby.
"Hey sweetie, Daryl and I agreed that you shouldn't be taken away by the state, so how would you like to live with us?", my mom asked getting straight to the point.
"WHAT!?", Alyssa and Porter exclaimed at the same time.
"Yeah, so what do you think?", Dad asked. I sighed. This is not going to be the reaction they expected, but I know that kind of brother/sister bond. That boy isn't about to back down without a fight. He loves his sister too much to ever let her go.
"No", Porter said immediately. I turned to Alyssa who was once again tearing up.
"I-I'm so sorry, I c-can't", she stuttered. "I refuse to leave my brother"
"And I refuse to let anyone take my sister away from me. I did everything I could to take care of her when we were just kids! I'm eighteen now, I can still take care of her!", Porter exclaimed hugging Alyssa tightly. I saw that one coming.
"I know sweetie, but you're currently unemployed, and I doubt any judge would let you keep her since you were working for a convicted felon", Mom stated. Oh crap…
"I didn't know what they were doing! How on earth was I supposed to know that they were child abusers when I was only fourteen and living on the street!? I was just trying to find shelter for my little sister!", Porter yelled. Mom was about to reply, but I interrupted, having enough of all this.
"Okay, everybody stop! Why can't we all get everything we want in this situation?", I asked. They all gave me confused looks.
"Sweetheart, I wish that was possible but-", Dad started, but I cut him off.
"Oh Daddy, it's possible. Okay, the state doesn't want Alyssa to be raised by Porter because he's unemployed and was working for the Freemans right?", I asked. Everyone nodded. "And we want Alyssa to come live with us, but Porter and Alyssa want to stay together right?", I further questioned. Everyone nodded once more. "Well, why can't we do all of that?"
"How can we do that Kels?", Alyssa asked sighing. I smiled.
"Porter, do you have anywhere to live?", I asked. He shook his head sadly. "Alyssa, do you like our family?"
"Of course I do, but-"
"Mom, Dad, we have plenty of room in our house for more people right?", I asked cutting Alyssa off.
"Yeah sweetie, we have one extra guest bedroom", Dad said.
"Okay, well I'm totally willing to share my bedroom if it means we can sort all of this out and I don't have to lose my best friend", I said smiling at Alyssa who smiled back.
"What are you saying kid?", Porter asked impatiently.
"Okay, first off, don't call me kid; it's offensive the way you said it. Second, there's a way to give everyone what they want. We can simply have both of you move in with us! Think about it, Toby has his own room, Mom and Daddy have there's, we have the guest bedroom that can be transferred into Porter's room for the time being, and then Alyssa and I can share my room! If that's okay?", I suggested.
"I'm okay with that", Mom said.
"Me too", Dad agreed. We all turned to Porter and Alyssa who were having some kind of sibling conversation with their eyes. I would know this because, well, Toby and I can somehow do that too sometimes. Suddenly Alyssa turned to us and smiled.
"I'd like that", she said running over and hugging me. When we released, we all turned back to Porter who was the only one that hadn't agreed yet. He sighed and looked over to his sister.
"Lys, is this what'll make you happy?", he asked. Alyssa nodded vigorously. He hesitated for a few more moments before breaking out into a wide grin. "Then how can I refuse?"
"Really!?", Alyssa exclaimed. Porter nodded still smiling. He was suddenly tackled in a hug by his younger sister. "This is awesome! We can still be a family together and not split up!"
"I told you I'd never let that happen", he whispered in her hair. I smiled at their loving bond.
"What's going on?", Toby asked, suddenly joining this somewhat family conversation we were having.
"Looks like we're adding two new members to our family baby bro", I said wrapping my arms loosely around him from the back. "Mommy and Daddy are adopting Porter and Alyssa"
"So you're saying I'm getting another big sister, but I also get a big brother to even it out?", he asked. I laughed a little but nodded. "Awesome!"
"I know little man, I always did want a brother", Porter said ruffling Toby's hair.
"Hey!", Alyssa exclaimed. Porter just laughed before pulling Alyssa back into the hug, but tickling her to death this time.
"Oh relax sis, I wouldn't trade you for the world. I'm just saying it would be nice to have a brother around to help ease up on the girl stuff", he laughed.
"And I suppose you don't think a girl can like the same things you do?", I challenged, crossing my arms over my chest. He raised his eyebrows at me.
"You aren't into all that girly stuff like Alyssa?", he asked.
"Well duh! Of course I am, but that doesn't mean I don't have my tomboy side either. I'm certainly not a girly-girl, but I'm not really a tomboy either. Get used to it though, I can beat your butt at any sport", I said challengingly. He smirked.
"Softball?", he asked. I nodded.
"Any day"
"Volleyball?"
"My best sport"
"Soccer, tennis, basketball?", he asked, naming as many as he could think of. I nodded again. "Fine, what about football?", he asked smirking.
"Oh Porter, you have so much to learn", I said shaking my head. I still smiled though. I can see this as the start of a beautiful family.
Hey guys! So sorry it took me a while (in my opinion) to update! I'm telling you, you really can't miss one day (let alone three) of eighth grade without being bombarded with massive amounts of homework! I even missed four tests, and get this, it's exam week now. I'm like dying of stress, but I promised myself I would update today, so here's your chapter! It was sort of another filler (sorry again), but I had to get it out there about Porter and Alyssa joining the Bentleys' family. The idea will definitely fit in the long run of things. I also just had to add in a sweet moment between Ally, Austin, and Ella, seeing as there hasn't been too many of those in the past drama filled chapters. So, please read, review, follow, and favorite! Love you guys!
God bless you all!
