"Momma! Momma! Catch me!" A little boy shouted. The young boy had a distinctive look, with cerulean blue eyes and spiky magenta, black and blond hair. His mother behind him just sighed.

Luckily, his father walked in and scooped him up before he could get too far. "Where do you think you are going, little one?"

"Father, lemme go!" He struggled in his father's grasp.

His mother from behind giggled. "I think it is time for you to go to bed."

"No it is not!" He exclaimed, squirming to escape from his father's arms.

"Mhm. I do think it is." The taller tri-colored haired father agreed.

"Hurry along now. Maybe if you go to bed early, father and I can take you to the market tomorrow morning with Uncle Seto!"

The little boy paused for a moment, weighing his options. He sighed and admitted defeat. "Alright."

His mother smiled, leaning over and kissing him on the cheek as his father finally let him go. "I shall be there in a minute." She told the child. The boy nodded and scurried away off to bed. Teana found herself enveloped in someone's arms from behind as she sighed once more. She looked up to see her husband as he kissed her affectionately on the cheek. "He has gotten so big!" She exclaimed, as both she and her husband rocked back and forth.

"Mhm." Atem agreed with her, not letting go of her and instead affectionately putting his head on her shoulder.

"I cannot believe it." She turned around, out of Atem's grasp and smiled. "To think, just a short while ago I did not even know of you. So much has changed. We have been through so much!"

Atem clasped his hands with Teana's. "Plenty!" He nodded as he recalled some not so good memories as well. "To think, this all started with a betrothal we did not want."

Teana smiled warmly at him. "Yes, one we did not even want... It took some time for us to get used to it, even with all the conflicts we faced."

"I think it turned out alright in the end. Now I have you," he said tilting her chin up, "our son..." he added, moving closer and "so much more."

Teana could only silently agree as they both kissed deeply.

Their relationship started out as an unwanted betrothal, but it steadily changed as their relationship grew stronger, even with all the bumps and cracks along the way. Their betrothal gave them something better than just a way to solve the conflict plaguing both nations. It gave them a wonderful son, family, love and so much more.

It's finally over! Nearly two years in the making, it's finally finished! This is the first ever multi-chaptered fic I ever started and I've grown so much as a writer throughout the duration of this fic.
