Guys, very important. Please read the author's note at the bottom of the chapter. I want your opinions on something.

I don't own Austin & Ally

Third Person POV

"Well what do we have here?"

Uh oh, was Porter's first initial thought as he slowly pulled away from his girlfriend. He didn't want to look up at his accuser in fear it may be Maddie's dad or one of her brothers. More specifically, he was scared it was Austin and he would actually kill him. Porter knew Austin hadn't been very fond of him since they first met, but if he came upon them kissing on the ground right outside the hospital, not long after Maddie had ran out of the room crying, Austin might think Porter was trying to take advantage of his sister-which he would never dream of doing.

Maddie wanted to laugh at Porter's expression, but she also felt bad at how scared he seemed. How could he not tell a girl's voice from a guy's-even if they did deepen their voice just to throw him off?

"I can't believe my big brother finally has himself a girlfriend! It sure took you long enough", Alyssa's familiar voice rang through, making Porter's head snap right up. He sighed in relief.

"Goodness Lys, I thought you were Austin! Don't do that to me!", Porter exclaimed as he and Maddie got up.

"Oh, I wasn't the one that said it, I just told Kelsey to", Alyssa said as Kelsey came out from behind the corner with a guilty smile on her face.

"Sorry bro, you're too fun not to mess with", Kelsey said as she and the other two girls laughed. Porter just pouted like a little kid, which Maddie thought looked quite adorable. He was serious so often, it was nice to see his child side hadn't fully disappeared since his and Alyssa's parents' deaths.

"Come on you two, we need to be getting back. Ally and the babies should be released tomorrow, but they might wanna keep Emma overnight for observations since she had trouble at birth and now has a heart problem. They may want to see if she has any other complications", Alyssa said.

"Wait, where's Toby and Ella?", Maddie asked. Both fifteen year olds' eyes widened as they began to frantically look around for the two six year olds who were supposed to be right with them.

"Looks like they made a friend", Porter laughed, "…or at least Toby did." They all looked towards the doors, right inside the hospital to see Toby talking to a really pretty young nurse and Ella just standing there with her arms crossed over her chest while she rolled her eyes.

"Do my eyes deceive me or is that jealousy I see in that adorable little girl's eyes?", Alyssa asked with a smile.

"Nope, she's so jealous", Kelsey said laughing at the sight too.

"Awe, my little girl's growing up!", Maddie squealed.

"Why are you all focused on Ella? Toby's the one I'm proud of", Porter said making all three girls turn towards him curiously.

"Why?", they all chorused.

"Look at him; he's a pro. A direct way to a girl's heart is jealousy. He's six and apparently figured that out already. I doubt his parents have told him that yet", Porter said. He wondered briefly if Alyssa remembered the many times their mother had sat them down on rainy days when the TV was out and there was nothing to do, she'd tell them stories about their father using his brother's best friend to make her jealous. It definitely worked because she already liked him, but it worked a little too much and started a food fight, along with ending them all up in detention for a month. Yeah, that's a great way for them to have gotten together. And the funny thing is that the girl that his mother was so jealous of became her best friend and sister-in-law; Alyssa and Porter's aunt. If you're wondering why they didn't live with them when their parents died, they lived somewhere overseas for a missionary job.

"Mama always said that to us", Alyssa said laughing. Maddie looked over at Porter who was smiling brightly in his sister's direction, though she could see the glossiness in his eyes.

"Yeah, she did. Dad said that was the smartest and dumbest move he ever made. He said Grandpa always told him to man up and ask her out, but he always chickened out", Porter said as they began to walk back in the hospital to wait on the kids to stop talking to the pretty nurse who was probably the same age as Ally at the least.

"Imagine that, our dad a chicken. What is it with you West men? Always starting out a chicken then you turn into your father. Daddy did it, and I'm pretty sure Grandpa did it. Now look at you", Alyssa said as she looked over to her brother. It felt nice for Porter to be able to talk to his little sister about their parents for once without one of them breaking down, but it wasn't like he was about to let her get the best of him like that.

"Oh, so I'm a chicken?", Porter challenged.

"Well yeah. I mean, look how long it took you to admit your feelings for Maddie. You've been head over heels for her since the second you met-or when you saved her before you met. Wait, you did tell her that right?", Alyssa asked to be sure. Porter nodded. "Well it took you that long. And she's always liked you too. I mean come on people, get over it"

"You get over it, it ain't like guys don't look at you during school", Kelsey retorted. This immediately caught Porter's attention.

"You're the one that's had a boyfriend", Alyssa replied while rolling her eyes at her best friend/sister's accusations.

"Why don't I know any of this?", Porter asked incredulously.

"Because we didn't tell you", Kelsey smirked, then frowned as a thought dawned on her. "Wait, you should know I had a boyfriend. The first time you saw me I was a mess because of it"

"Oh yeah; sorry Kels. To be honest, I only half knew what was going on since I really didn't know you at the time. I mean, you never introduced yourself like the rest and just came in there acting like that. What was I supposed to think?", Porter asked defensively.

"Whatever, I just assumed you paid attention to me", Kelsey said rolling her eyes.

"I do Kels! What are you talking about? That was the first time we met!"

"Never-mind, I know it's not your fault. I'm still just mad over what all happened though. I wish I had all of you back then", Kelsey said sighing.

"Well you have us now", Maddie said stepping in. Porter glanced her way and mouthed 'thank you', to which she nodded.

"Yeah, and the boys-"

"No boys", Porter said cutting Kelsey off. Everybody laughed at this but Porter.

"Oh don't be that way Porty", Alyssa said in her innocent little voice she used when she wanted something.

"Yeah, just think about it this way; do you really want to come across as the scary, overprotective big brother to some kid like my brothers did to you?", Maddie said pointedly.

"If it keeps them away from my sisters, then yeah. I have a new respect for those brothers of yours", Porter commented.

"Okay, keep saying that. You're the one that has to tell them you're dating their only baby sister", Alyssa said in a sing-song voice.

"And we're the ones that get to tell them we caught the two of you in a total make-out session!", Kelsey added. Porter gulped.

"And we have the pictures to prove it", Alyssa continued as she waved her phone around.

Austin's POV

"Honey, they'll be fine. You saw the picture of Ella and Toby hugging; they're fine. Just wait until they get back in a few minutes", Mom was telling Ally. She was trying to get her to stay calm about the fact that it's been over half an hour and our daughter and the others still haven't come back yet. Ally had calmed down a little when she saw that picture…twenty minutes ago. Now she's a total mess. We all thought they'd be back soon after the picture was sent, but they still haven't returned. I can't say I'm not worried, but Ally's literally freaking out.

"Mama, when are all my babies just gonna be okay?", Ally asked with tears in her eyes. Did she-did she just called my mom Mama?

"I know that's what you want sweetheart; it'll happen soon. Don't you worry, they'll be okay", Mom said as she hugged my wife. I would be doing that right now, but when Ally went into freak mode I was kind of holding our daughter so Mom took the role quickly. Dad was busy holding his first and so far only grandson, but he kept trying to get Ally to calm down some too.

"Ally, baby you have to calm down. This isn't good for you after having that emergency C-section and going through labor just two days ago", Dad said.

"Daddy, I don't care! I just-", Ally started, but stopped herself suddenly. I think she finally realized what she just called my parents. I don't mind, she just always told me she preferred their real names. "Did I just say that?"

"Nope, you didn't just say that, you just called Aunt Mimi and Uncle Mike them Mama and Daddy", Dez said obliviously. I could strangle him right now.

"You idiot!", Trish hissed as she hit him upside the head with the arm she wasn't using to hold Bri. I can just picture them married now. "She knows what she said you doofus, she doesn't need you reminding her!"

"I'm sorry!", Ally cried as she practically melted in my mom's arms. "There's something wrong with me! I know I said I didn't want to call you guys that even though you were like parents to me, but I just-"

"Honey", my mom said cutting her off. "I've told you before and I'll tell you again, it's fine. It doesn't matter to me what you call me, and I know times like these make people say crazy things-"

"No", Ally said shaking her head. "I just need my mom right now", she continued as my mom hugged her closer.

"Which mom?", Dez asked. I rolled my eyes and pointed a look to Trish.

"Dez, just keep your mouth shut until I tell you to open it again", Trish said as she hit him again. I smiled.

"Thank you Trish"

"My mom!", Ally cried. "Those prisoners may've changed but Penny Dawson will never be my mother!", Ally screamed and hugged my mom even tighter if that was at all possible.

"Mommy, why are you crying?" We all turned towards Ella who was standing in the doorway with a scared look on her face; Toby, Alyssa, Kelsey, Maddie, and Porter all behind her.

"Ella! Oh thank goodness you're okay! Come here!", Ally cried. Ella ran over to Ally and hugged her tightly, but I could still see the fear all over her little face.

"Mommy, why are you upset?", she asked.

"I'm sorry baby, Mommy didn't know where you were and I got scared", Ally said as she cupped Ella's face in her hands before pulling her into another hug.

"Sorry we scared you guys", Alyssa apologized. "We figured while we were out getting the kids we might as well go make sure these two were fine", she said pointing towards Porter and Maddie. They looked fine…maybe a little too fine. Wonder what's up with them…

"What happened when you two were gone?", Dez asked curiously, but that caused Trish to hit him again. "Owe! Trish, stop hitting me!"

"Don't tell me what to do! I said to keep your mouth shut until I said not to!", Trish complained. I just rolled my eyes at their behavior and turned to my sister. Although it was pretty weird to see how Porter was looking everywhere but me, Dez, and Dad. He looked…scared? Why would he be scared unless-oh no.

"Maddie, go ahead", Mom said interrupting Trish and Dez's argument.

"Well, here it goes. Porter and I are-"

"Fine", Porter interrupted quickly. Maddie turned to him glaring and he raised his hands up in defense. "What?"

"If there's going to be a need for there to be anything we have to tell them at all, we're going to tell them", Maddie said in a threatening voice. What does that mean? I don't think it's very good by the look on Porter's face; sheer horror.

"Ooh, dude you better not stop her from telling them again", Alyssa said.

"I'm not that scared! I swear I won't interrupt again!", He cried. I could hear Ella's little laugh ring out at that point making me smile. That's my little Sunshine.

"Prince Charming isn't supposed to be so scared Porter, he's supposed to kiss his Sleepy Beauty", Ella said in an amused voice. It's metaphors like that she uses that makes me so happy she's still six. Wait-What did she just say!?

"They did enough of that already kid", Kelsey mumbled as she looked over at Alyssa's phone, both teen age girls trying to hide their giggles but failing miserably.

"Oh for goodness sake, if you two are together just say so!", Aiden suddenly snapped. I actually kind of forgot he was in here. He's been oddly quiet this whole time.

"You two are dating?", Dad asked with an expression I couldn't place. I know we all couldn't stand the thought of Maddie being with a guy, but Porter became a part of the family a while back-when he ran to get Maddie in that stupid 'Mercy game' the Freemans tried to pull off, though he probably knew the consequences he could've faced. That's my opinion of when he was truly accepted-by me at least. I don't know about everyone else, especially Dad and Dez.

"Y-Yes sir", Porter stuttered. Goodness, the kid looked like he might pee his pants.

"Why am I just now hearing of this?", Dad asked as he stepped closer to them. I noticed Trish handed Bri to Dez, a warning look in her eye as if daring him to do something stupid, and she came over and swiftly got Evan out of my Dad's hands.

"Nice move genius, now he has full strangle range", Alyssa hissed from where she stood near her brother, as if a little fifteen year old cold hold the two fully grown men off each other.

"Goodness Dad, give the kid a break", Ally said. Dad turned to her with a confused look, but she seemed to know what she said this time. I think she planned this…

"Did you just call me Dad again?", he asked.

"Does that bother you?", Ally asked. Don't ask me why, but right then it's like when I see my wife, I see a little girl-more like I see Ella-asking for a father. Oh, now I know why. I'm remembering when Ella first wanted me to be her daddy…

"Daddy, why are your eyes sparkly?", Ella asked as she crawled into my lap. I laughed a little and hugged her closer.

"Because I'm looking at you Sunshine; my beautiful baby girl", I whispered. She smiled and wrapped her tiny little arms around my neck. No matter how big she gets, I'll never get tired of this feeling. I looked over to Dad who was looking at me and Ella, and then I saw Ally was looking back at my dad, awaiting an answer…just like Ella was. Goodness they are so similar.

"Well?", Ally asked.

"It doesn't bother me at all sweetheart", Dad said making Ally smile.

"What about you?", Ally asked turning towards my mom who automatically hugged her tightly.

"I would love that", Mom whispered.

"Mommy finally has a Mommy and Daddy too", Ella said to me with a bright smile. I smiled back and kissed her little head.

"She sure does Sunshine", I laughed. I noticed Ally smiling in our direction from where she and my mom sat in Ally's hospital bed. Of course she just had to take a picture of us. You know, I'm so sick of this place. It feels like we've been here two weeks instead of two days.

"Daddy, when are we going home? I wanna play with my dollies", Ella whined.

"Soon Sunshine, don't worry. I think we're leaving tomorrow or the next day", I laughed.

"Can Toby stay here again?", Ella asked.

"I don't know, that's up to Aunt Claire and Uncle Daryl", I said looking towards them. They haven't said much in a while, but I don't exactly think it'd be fair to assume we're keeping their kid for the night then get informed early in the morning we kidnapped him. Probably won't happen, but you can never be sure.

"Please, take him. I could use a chance to catch up on six months' worth of my soaps", Aunt Claire said.

"Why do you have to use that much soap in one night?", Toby asked making us all laugh.

"Yeah, it sounds like a lot. I know we were gone for a while, hut we have used soap since we got back", Ella said.

"Honey, soaps are a type of TV show", Mom said.

"What kind?", Toby asked.

"The kind old people watch kid. It's sickening to see", Aiden said.

"How would you know that!?", Maddie asked, her voice laced in horror almost. I really wanted to laugh.

"I'm ten, I have nothing else to do but figure out the DVR", Aiden shrugged. I'm telling you, Maddie's cheeks couldn't have gotten any redder.

"No more watching soaps, deal?", Maddie said holding out her hand. Aiden immediately shook it with a grossed out look on his face.

"Don't worry sis, we turned it to Zaliens 2 after the first kissing scene. Nobody goes back to an ex who tried to kill their dead husband just because of a brain tumor", Dez said scoffing. Sometimes I wonder if he was born with like only half his brain functioning right.

"Dez, no more showing my baby brother adult content, got it?", Maddie said with a sharp glare.

"Our baby brother, and he's been alive a whole century!", Dez defended himself.

"Idiot", Trish muttered.

"Decade Dez, he's been alive a whole decade", Maddie sighed.

"Maddie, why does this sticky note have Porter's name all over it?", Ella asked. Maddie's eyes widened as she snatched the paper out of my daughter's hand. Ella laughed; the paper didn't even have anything on it.

"Which brings us back to the dating topic", Dad said as he walked back over to the pair, slowly bringing his hand up. "Welcome to the family"

"What?", Porter asked in disbelief. We all just laughed.

"Kid, we all thought you'd be good-or at least okay- for our sister since that day you saved her from those stupid Freemans when we were kidnapped", I laughed. I could see Ella smile at that because I haven't shown that I wanted him in the family.

"So you guys aren't mad?", Maddie asked smiling.

"Course not, now we have an extra babysitter", Ally joked.

"Yeah! Ella can come over all the time now!", Toby exclaimed.

"Well not all the time" Aunt Claire laughed making Toby pout.

"Who would've thought our family could grow even closer?", Ela whispered to me. I smiled down at my beautiful daughter. I noticed Maddie was now holding Emma and Porter was smiling down at her, Trish was holding Bri with Dez telling random stories to make her laugh, and Alyssa was holding Evan while Kelsey took pictures, and of course they would swap every five minutes. Ally was too busy talking to my-I guess I should say our now-parents. She looks so happy. Yes, it may be weird that we're husband and wife and both call my parents Mom and Dad, but I don't care. We all love each other and that's all that matters.

"Aunt Mimi, Uncle Mike, there's something we should tell you", Dez said as he held Trish and Bri's hands in his.

"What is it sweetie?", Mom asked in a happy voice.

"We're getting married", Trish said smiling. Next thing I know, there's a loud scream and my mom had run over squeezing both of them so tight I think they were turning blue. Dad had taken Mom's seat on the bed by Ally but I know he was still happy for them.

"Congrats son", Dad said as he put his arm around Ally like a real dad would.

"Well, most of the credit does go to Ella for helping me so much with setting up that special date. Ells, I hope Bri can learn a few things from you", Dez said. Ella beamed up at him.

"Thanks Uncle Dezzy!", Ella said, using the name she knows he hates. She's like the only one he'll let get away with calling him that.

"Ella", Dez said in a warning tone making everyone laugh. This is what family should be. It doesn't matter who you are, what kind of past you've had, how you're related, if you're not related by blood, or if you aren't related at all; family is family. Blood doesn't make a family, love does. I learned that a long time ago, but this-we're all living proof, and that I will forever be grateful for.

Hey guys! I'm back :) Ok, so this kind of looks like it's the last chapter, and it's pretty close. I was planning to have a few more little things to happen, but I feel it's getting close to where it needs to stop. I'm sorry if that upsets you all, but remember there will be one more sequel. Before I say what I think, I'd like to know if there are any last things you all want me to put in this story before I end it. The last chapter should be an epilogue so there will be closer.

When Our Stars Align takes place ten years later. So Ella's sixteen and the twins are ten. I will be explaining several things that occurred during that ten year time period, but if there's anything you want to see while Ella's still six and the babies are still practically newborn, let me know now because I'm thinking of the epilogue being chapter 33. Tell me your thoughts please :)

I don't own the small plot mentioned about the soap operas in Dez's line. It's on General Hospital.

God bless you all!
