"Okay, so we already passed that mountain... twice... And that rock... So we should only have to find the orange tree." Amelia explained.
"Ugh! We've been traveling for two days straight! I'm tired, sore, and hungry!" Lina screeched. They HAD been traveling a long time. The funeral was in a small town called Geriaxia. (Pronounce it whatever way you want... It's basically just a bunch of letters put together in attempt to make something creative.) "Amelia, what ever happened to that carriage anyway!?"
"Uh-um... Daddy had them all out at the time." Amelia said.
"Relax, we'll be there soon enough." Zelgadis assured.
"I CAN'T relax! Not on an empty stomach!" Lina shouted.
"Miss Lina. Where did Gourry go?" Amelia asked.
"He's over there in that stupid tree." Lina snapped.
Gourry's voice could be heard from in the tall tree that stood near where Lina pointed. "Guys! There's some kind of fruit in here! It's really good."
"FOOD!" That got Lina up.
"Wait, Ms. Lina! That fruit could be poisoness!" Amelia warned. Lina seemed oblivious. She ran to the tree and jumped, trying to grab some fruit. There was one within her reach on a low branch but when she jumped for it, it swung around and hit her, throwing her away and into Zelgadis.
"Ms. Lina...?" Amelia stuttered.
Lina was quiet for a moment, then she realised what just happened. "What the heck! How did that happen!?"
"Because of me, that's why!" The feminine voice seemed to come from above them, around where Gourry was.
"Please... get off me..." Zelgadis stammered. Lina got up off of him.
"Gourry! Don't tell me you're the one who threw me!" Lina yelled.
"I didn't throw you." Gourry replied.
"NO! It was me." The voice returned.
"Who was that?" Zelgadis asked.
"I am the ORANGE TREE!" Said the voice once again. The tree Gourry was in almost instantly turned orange.
"What!?" Amelia screamed, not expecting that.
Lina once again seemed oblivious to what happened. "Why did you throw me off!?"
"Because you are rude!" Said the Orange Tree. "How dare you call me stupid... Trees have feelings to, you know!"
Lina pointed at Gourry. "Then why is he still there?"
"I don't recall him saying anything rude to me. In fact, he praised my fruit. Unlike you..." The Orange Tree replied.
"I'm sorry, but what is the point of an orange tree?" Amelia asked.
"I supply an endless amount of fruit to whom ever finds me. Which in this case, would be all of you." The Orange Tree explained.
"Great! So give me some food!" Lina demanded.
"Not you!" The Orange Tree yelled
"Why?"
"Because! By all of you I mean this kind man and his two wei- *ahem* Funny friends over there."
"You think... were weird?" Asked a getting annoyed Zelgadis.
"I didn't say that! Not at all..." Replied the Orange Tree. "Anyway! About that endless supply of fruit..."
"So... I'm not allowed to eat, right..." Lina asked, in a very dark version of her voice. She probably would've had an aura around her if it were possible.
"Um... that's what I said..." Said the Orange Tree.
"Well then... if I don't get to eat..." Started Lina. "Then no one else can, either!"
"Ms. Lina do-" Amelia tried to convince her not to do it but she was cut off.
"FIREBALL!" And, with a very big ball of fire, the Orange Tree was consumed in flames and it unnaturally took less than a second to turn into a small pile of burnt bark and leaves.
"What the heck! Don't you think you went just a little over board!?" Yelled Zelgadis.
"That was our only food!" Screamed Amelia.
"Aw, it's fine. There's probably more trees like that." Convinced Lina.
"Actually, now that I think about it, that's not important right now..."Said Zelgadis.
"Yeah... Where did Gourry go?"Asked Amelia
