The other woman
A/N:- Thank you for the reviews and onto the next chapter. Enjoy.
Shitsuo jolted in surprise when his little brother's demon friend burst into the room. "What is going on here?" The angel sighed climbing out of bed. This was the first thing he needed in the morning.
"What do you mean?" The demon growled which Shitsuo ignored trying to fight his summons. "In case you forgot this is the angel realm or heaven as the humans call it. A demon isn't welcome here and if they find out you are here then they will kill you." Shitsuo gasped as the words flowed out. So this was being emotional, it was tiring.
"Your brother. He just said he was hungry. The last time I checked angels didn't get hungry at least not in that way." Ah, so that was it. Tsuki's stomach had probably been grumbling. Both of them froze hearing a voice cry out. Before he could take a step the wolf demon was out of the room.
Shitsuo followed behind seeing his brother curled up in a ball a faint light around his fingertips. For a second he thought it changed to red. "He's upset. Tsuki can't control his power yet." What he didn't understand was why his brother was now sound asleep. "I'm going to make something for him to eat. Do you want anything?"
The demon snubbed him sitting on the bed to stare at the sleeping angel. With a sigh Shitsuo made his way into the kitchen. From the start they had all been different from the other angels. He had been to a few different angel's homes and none of them were like the home they had grown up in.
For a start no other angel ate human food unless they really wanted to. They didn't sleep in beds instead sleeping in some sort of crystal where their energy was replenished. When he had questioned his mother about it she had only smiled and said it was necessary.
Now that everything had happened and his family were scattered he knew the reason. Shizuka had known that one day they would be forced out and scattered. That was why she had been raising them as human, so they knew how to survive. Not only that for the youngest it was unavoidable.
Opening the cupboards Shitsuo groaned seeing that they would soon run out of food. At some point he would need to traverse to the human realm and stock up. "He's a half breed isn't he?" Without turning around he knew that the demon was in the kitchen.
"Yeah. Tsuki is half human." The demon growled not sounding happy at all. "I need to go out for a while. My head is getting painful. Can I ask that you stay here out of sight and don't let anyone apart from Tsuki see you?" Shitsuo blinked as he was pushed out of the way the demon pulling out different ingredients and placing them on the side.
"You need to see Sakuraya, right? Get going." Shitsuo took one look at the cold eyes and sharp teeth wondering why Tsuki had made friends with such a creature. He watched quietly as one of the sharp knives slid from its holder. "I'm the same as him. I'll make sure he eats." A half demon. With a mumbled thanks Shitsuo hurried to try and shut his master up.

Shizuka gasped feeling her ribs crack as the snake tightened around her. The dial on her suit was broken her helmet useless. The helmet was yanked from her head and thrown across the room. Saika lay on the floor out of reach. She could hardly move, her breathing becoming more and more painful as she frantically inhaled the toxic air.
Shizuka cringed as sharp nails slashed across her cheek in a vicious slap her hair grasped tightly and yanked back. "You seduced him with this pretty face, didn't you?" The demon's eyes swirled with anger and hatred making her laugh brokenly. Everyone didn't know how easy they had it. "Why my mate? Why couldn't you choose another demon?"
Shizuka gasped in reply feeling something else crack in her body. It couldn't have been anyone else. None of the other demon's would have accepted her. Besides that it was the partner the damn oracle had picked for her. Already her vision was fading. "Letting you die like this would be too swift. I want to make sure you suffer."
Anger, pain, sadness...all of them were taken for granted. Shizuka gasped feeling sharp nails scrape against her skin as the rest of her protective suit was torn away falling down to reveal her neck. That was when the demon smiled opening her mouth where sharp looking fangs elongated. Snake. The woman was a snake.
The blonde cried out as her head was yanked back further the tips of those points digging into her throat. Ah. This was going to hurt. Closing her eyes she felt the full extent of them break skin blood trickling down her neck. Shizuka opened her mouth realising her voice box had corroded, her arms broken. Burning hot poison entered her blood stream searing everything in its path. Wordlessly she screamed unable to move. Those deadly fangs retracted the raven haired demon smirking at her. "Lets see which kills you first. The air here or my poison."
The snake unravelled from her body at her owner's command, leaving her to topple unmoving to the floor the only thing left working was her jaw opening and shutting as she struggled against the two forces trying to destroy her.

"Shitsuo-nii?" Tsuki blinked sitting up. "Roppi-kun?" Climbing out of bed the angel hurried from the room seeing no sign of the demon. Pushing open the door to his older brother's room that was empty too. "Shitsuo-nii? Roppi-kun?" Checking every room Tsuki was quickly finding himself to be alone.
Check the kitchen. Tsuki nodded obeying the feminine voice in his mind. Hurrying down the stairs his stomach grumbled again. "Shitsuo-nii? Roppi-kun?" The very thought that he was alone again made him want to cry.
"Are you crying again?" His new friend growled grabbing his wrist. Tsuki smiled glad that he hadn't been abandoned. "I made breakfast. Sit down and eat." The blond nodded face heating up as he sat down.
"T-thank y-you." The demon muttered something under his breath sitting down to eat his own. "Where is Shitsuo-nii?" Cold crimson flicked up before returning to his meal.
"He went out. Shut up and eat. It will be troublesome if you get sick." Tsuki nodded knowing it was better to stay silent. That way Roppi wouldn't get mad at him.

Shizuo's ears twitched hearing the door slam. "Shizu-chan!" Ah it was peaceful while it lasted. Now the demon was back to wreak havoc. "I brought a doctor." A doctor? Did the flea forget he was something that shouldn't exist? Stepping out of the kitchen he could see the raven wasn't alone. Standing next to him was a middle aged man with some sort of mask over his face. "I did want Shinra to look at you instead you'll have to deal with his father."
Shizuo shrugged not caring in the least. If his secret had been passed onto someone else then he no longer had a reason to stay. The way the so called doctor was staring at him didn't make him feel the least bit comfortable. "I should have known. What are you doing here, Shizuo Heiwajima?" The half demon flinched noticing that Izaya pretty much had the same reaction. Someone that already knew who he was? "How is that stupid woman doing?"
"Haha. Shingen-san, you know Shizu-chan?" Crimson orbs were narrowed in suspicion.
"Not personally. I know Shizuka." Shizuo smiled feeling relaxed since Izaya looked like he was confused and didn't have a clue what was going on. "Lets get this examination over and done with. Take a seat." The older man barked still not removing that mask. Although nervous Shizuo did as he was told. "Do you mind leaving?"
The flea bristled at being told to leave his side. "Shizu-chan is my responsibility. I'm staying to make sure you don't try and dissect him." The doctor only shrugged.
"Suit yourself. Open your mouth." Shizuo nodded opening his mouth averting his eyes as the man moved closer. "Good. Have you been feeling sick lately?" Again he nodded. "Hot and cold?" Another nod. "I see, you're pretty close. Lift your top."
"Shingen-san, I didn't ask you to come here for that. Something has happened to Shizu-chan's halo." Izaya's hand reached out keeping his top down.
"I already know what the problem is. I was more concerned with his growth. There hasn't been a hybrid between demon and angel. Not one that's survived their awakening anyway. With Shizuka's genes it makes things more dangerous." Shizuo sighed seeing how the pair were glaring at each other. "Tell me, have you had any fast healing wounds? Change in feather colour? Obedience?"
Shizuo flinched at the last one which didn't go unnoticed. "I thought as much. Your brothers are probably having the same problems. Its to be expected being a child of heaven's doll."
"Hang on, what?" The flea's eyes widened incredulously.
"Ask her when you see her. The reason your halo has changed colour would be because of Saika." So it was because of the dream. "I won't bore you with the details since its not my story to tell. The two of them are two sides of the same coin. Most likely the stupid woman let her guard down allowing Saika in. Saika is like a virus spread from her current host to you. You might hear her voice in your head but don't let her in. As long as Shizuka remains strong nothing will happen to you."
Shizuo tried to absorb the information. That woman was inside his head? "Is she harmful?" Shingen nodded sending a shudder down his spine.
"You're all in equal danger however the weakest one will be a target." Weaker one? That would be... "That would be your youngest brother and my son since he's part human."
"Tsuki is human?" Shizuo bolted up grabbing the doctor's shoulder. How many more secrets were there in his family?
"Shizu-chan, calm down." As soon as he felt Izaya's hand on his head gently stroking over the slight bumps on his head the half demon relaxed dropping back down on the sofa resting his head on the cat demon's lap. "Good boy. Shingen-san I think you've said enough for now."

Shizuka convulsed in pain feeling her bones rejoin fixing themselves. Her rarely shown wings extended across her back the ash black feathers showing her current state. "What the?" The demon took a step back making her grin bitterly. From the corner of her eye she could see her feathers turning into a brilliant white getting rid of the damage.
Inside her own body she could feel her broken bones fix themselves. The blood from her throat stopped, the sickly green poison illuminating her veins faded. With a groan the angel pushed herself up. It was a cruel cycle the air already trying to corrupt her. Pain was the first emotion she had ever felt. Her fate was harsh even though she had fought so hard to beat it the first time, the strings still remained threatening to curse her and destroy everything again.
"Are you done? We could do this all day and I won't die. My body won't let me." Stretching her arms Shizuka reached for the sword crying out as the damn snake coiled again trapping one of her wings. A shuddering scream left her throat quickly muffled by the warm skin sliding against her lips. Her broken wing was already knitting itself together.
"I see. Pain doesn't work, hm?" The raven haired woman stepped forward a smirk on her lips, a cold gleam in her eye. "I could break you over and over again and nothing would happen? This couldn't be better. Lets try something else shall we?" Shizuka flinched trying to get free. Usually when someone saw what she really was they would run, call her a monster or try and kill her. Instead the demon in front of her looked happy. Still there was no sign of Saika's voice in her head.
