Heart broken

"Tsu-chan, our mothers are expecting us." Pysche chirped next to him. "Wait now that we're bound does that mean your mother is my mother? Ah I showed her something bad. It's okay though, right? Tsu-chan? Tsu-chan?" Tsugaru blinked shrugging his shoulders. "Tsu-chan!"

"I don't know. What am I supposed to say to her?" Why did his mother have to walk in on them? Better yet why was she even here?

"...Do you regret what we did?" The demon asked with a sad expression that tore at his heart.

"No. I just didn't think I'd be seeing any of my family quite so soon. I guess I should go and face the music." It was one conversation he wasn't looking forward to having.

"We." Psyche corrected helping him up. "We're in this together." Tsugaru smiled ruffling the raven's fluffy hair. "That tickles. Lets go, Tsu-chan." Taking a deep breath the newly fallen angel left the room slowly leaving the bedroom.

It was the same room where Shizuo had met his father for the first time and just as nerve racking, only for him this time. His mother was sitting down arms crossed and looking...like she was in pain? Not to mention she was wearing a dress. Never before had he seen his mother wearing a dress. There was more chance of getting Tsukishima to wear one.

Not to mention the tension he could feel between the two women. Ah, that's right. The demon's mate had cheated on her. Even Psyche clutched tighter to his arm losing the skip in his step. "Psyche, you've bound him to you?"

"Yes, mama. Tsu-chan is mine." The raven nodded letting out a long sigh.

"Tsugaru, I never expected this from you." His mother groaned shaking her head. "First your brother and now you. Ugh." The newly fallen angel rushed forward seeing his mother curl up in the chair. His gaze fell to the changing mark on her leg. Neither Psyche nor the female demon looked concerned.

"It doesn't look like your brat has completely fallen." Kanra remarked. "He still has his halo." Shizuka glared at the snake demon, seeing that yes her son did still have his halo but it was crimson and glowed with the same eeriness coming from the sword.

"Not quite." Unable to find the strength to stand up, the blonde clenched her fist. "That was how she did it. Normally when an angel becomes a fallen, their wings blacken and their halo shatters. Tsugaru, when did your halo become like that?"

"Um, I thought I was dead and had this weird dream. We were all in it. There was this temple with two chairs and this woman with black hair and red eyes. She did something to us. When I woke up my halo had become like this. Its okay though, we're connected now." Tsugaru rested a hand gently on her arm seeing her horrified expression. "I can tell how everyone is."

"...That isn't right." Shizuka groaned. "You shouldn't still have your halo. I didn't want to get you in...guh..involved in this."

"Well he is and now you've dragged my sons into your mess too. How many times are you going to destroy my family?" Kanra asked coldly.

"Mama, what's going on?" Her son's mate asked.

"Ask her." Shizuka glared at the sword knowing Saika had gotten to them as she had feared.

"I'm sorry. You've been infected by the cursed demon Saika. She was safely sealed within this sword. The problem is that she tries to possess the ones that hold her. Because I'm her current owner she's inside...me. I can't get rid of it but I can ignore her voice."

"I didn't touch that sword." Tsugaru protested.

"I know. You didn't have to. Saika has been with me since the beginning before any of you were born..."

"And now you've gone and bound your soul to him, Psyche." Kanra dug her nails into the edge of the chair. "You've introduced that virus into my family, you slut." Shizuka flinched back sharp nails scratching across her cheek.

Tsugaru let the information sink in looking from the sword in his mother's trembling hand. Slowly he turned to look guiltily at his lover. "P-Psyche, I had no idea." The hyper demon didn't say anything.

"Well this is going to be an awkward seventy two hours." The woman muttered. "Psyche, take him back upstairs until the bond settles. Be careful not to listen to any voices in your head." Tsugaru watched the demon turn away.

That was until something passed through the link he shared with his brothers bringing him to his knees. "Argh!" Clutching at his head the blond screamed unable to cope with the mass of anger bearing down on him or the chain reaction it caused when the rest of his brothers felt the same.

"Tsugaru!" His mother cried rushing towards him. "Is it Saika?"

"Tsu-chan!" Psyche looked panicked. "I'm sorry."

"Sh- It's Shi-zuo. Ugh." Rolling on his side he felt himself enveloped in a warm embrace.

"Okay. Don't fight it. Don't try to use your power, just relax." Doing as he was told Tsugaru felt his eyes slip shut gentle fingers stroking his brow.

"Tsu-chan!" The hysterical demon was on his knees next to her. "What happened to him? Who hurt him?" Shizuka shook her head. Shizuo. Her son had said Shizuo was to blame. "Answer me. Who hurt my Tsu-chan?"

"I need to go. Look after him. Oi, Kanra. I'm leaving." The snake demon nodded standing slowly and stalking towards her.

"Fine. If you try anything..." The warning was left hanging sharp nails grazing along her throat. Closing her yes she felt a weight around her shoulders something warm and scaly making itself comfortable.

"Tsu-chan's enemy is my enemy." The demon clutched at her wrist.

"Tsugaru said it himself. He's linked with the rest of my sons. My guess is something happened to one of them. He should wake up soon." The pink eyed raven nodded rabbit ears twitching. Relief bloomed within her happy to see her son had been mated with someone that cared about him, instead of someone like the snake curled around her neck ready to strike at any moment.

Delic lay spread out on one side of Hibiya's large bed. The demon in question was now curled up in his lion cub form fast asleep. That should mean that he was free to leave. Wrong. Not only had he willingly slept with the arrogant raven, he had been bound. For the next seventy two hours he wouldn't be able to leave the room or anywhere else the demon went.

At the very least the raven could have left the mark somewhere a little less noticeable, instead of placing it right at the top of his throat. His shirt collars wouldn't be able to cover the damn thing. "Well this went well." Delic muttered sarcastically.

A smirk and a grimace crossed his face. His uptight older brother had finally lost his angelic side. At least there was something beneath that calm façade. The other one made his stomach twist into knots. Shizuo. His little brother had been defiled by that disgusting Orihara demon. Clenching his fist the fallen angel didn't bother to try and put a stop to the murderous thoughts that filled his mind.

"Like hell I'm letting my brother get taken from me." Not bothered by his own naked form Delic rolled from the bed walking away. With each footstep something pulled at him becoming more painful. A soft growl came from the bed. Seventy two hours. What damage could Izaya do to Shizuo in that time?

"Gah!" Delic hit the mirrored floor clutching at his head. "What the- Gah!" Was it the bond? But he was already back next to the bed, no this was...anger? Hurt? Whatever it was weighed down on him crushing his mind. Reaching for his halo Delic tossed it across the room, hoping that would cut the link.

Unfortunately he wasn't so lucky. Shizuo's emotions slammed down on him. Delic screamed digging his nails into his skull, his own pain bouncing back ricocheting between the five of them. "Commoner, how dare you w- what's wrong? Why are you on the floor?" Delic gave up collapsing on the cold floor.

Tsuki didn't know what was going on. Only that it hurt. His brothers were in pain and that pain was hurting him. In the house he knew Shitsuo was in the same state. Tears ran down his cheeks as he struggled to cope from such a painful awakening. The wolf beside him stirred tilting its head. "H-hurts. H-help."

Curling into a ball the young angel trembled. Roppi's warm fur brushing against him didn't help at all. "Idiot." Blinking through the tears Tsuki could see cold crimson boring into him. A splayed hand rested on top of his head. Even if he would be hated for it the young angel clung to his friend trying to cope with the pain.

It was from one source then doubling as each one of his brothers felt it. "Argh. I-it hurts." One by one he felt nothing from Tsugaru, then Delic. Sakuraya must have already passed out like he was on the verge to. He hadn't noticed the strain on the demon's face. Forcing his fingers to let go Tsuki slipped back. "S-sorry."

His finger tips began to glow, spreading along his fingers. Roppi's hand latched onto his wrist pulling him close. Shizuo was in pain, hurting badly. Huh? Slowly Tsuki raised his head. "I-I can't feel Shizuo-nii." Slipping forward his eyelids slipped shut.

The ring? "Shizu-chan, that ring was important. How did you get it- ah." Shizuo clenched his fists bunched up in the covers, his body trembling with the betrayal he felt. "Must be the bond. Shizu-chan?" He didn't want to look at that smirking face.

"...You are my brother?" The hybrid whispered feeling his chest ache.

"Half brother." The raven answered studying him.

"...Why didn't you tell me?" Shizuo heard the crack in his own voice.

"Does it matter?" Izaya grinned trying to gloss over the fact they were related. "You're mine now, Shizu-chan. Accept it." The demon wasn't the least bit sorry. Shizuo heard his bones crack, the covers tear.

"...You knew. You knew how I felt about it. I said I would never get involved with one my brothers." His voice hissed having trouble controlling the emotions that were building up inside him.

"Half brother." The demon reminded. "Its too late now. You were born for me, related or not it makes no difference. You being an angel I knew you might have some morals." Shizuo grit his teeth hearing them grind together.

"You lied to me." Something inside him was breaking bit by bit. "I need to go." Slipping from the bed Shizuo felt a tug. "Wha-"

"Its the bond. It takes seventy two hours to settle, until then you can't leave my side."

"Break it. Get rid of it." Shizuo growled lifting Izaya by his throat.

"I can't. There is no way to reverse it, we're together now." Shizuo screamed in rage slamming the demon into the wall. He had been lied to, manipulated and now bound with no way to escape. "Shizu-chan."

It wasn't enough to stop the dark spiral of anger he felt, Izaya had made them unable to go their separate ways. Again and again he slammed the demon into the wall the plaster giving way behind him. How could he have thought the cat demon was right about the whole soul mate thing? He had slept with his brother, committed another sin and still his wings remained their bloody red, his halo still glowing eerily. He had slept with a demon and still was the same. It hurt. It hurt so much.

"Shi-" Not wanting to listen to any more lies Shizuo punched hard hurling Izaya across the length of the room. The bed creaked neither of them next to it. From the corner of his eye he could see the legs bend and break collapsing on itself.

"Huh?" The half demon froze as the bed crashed through the floor. Looking down he could see a gold circle around his feet. That was when he noticed that the cat demon was slumped against the wall unmoving. "Flea?" Taking a step forward the circle around him thickened. "Oi!" Rushing over, Shizuo picked up the limp raven. "Wake up." Something warm dribbled over his hands.

So caught up in his rage and the demon's betrayal he hadn't reigned in his strength or thought about any new powers that might be blooming thanks to his awakening. But he was noticing now. The hole he had punched through Izaya's stomach, the demon's eyes showing their whites. "Hey, flea. Wake up."

Gently shaking the raven, Shizuo's breath hitched when there was no response. "Izaya. Stop messing around." He growled low. "Iz-Izaya." Stepping from the wrecked bedroom, Shizuo staggered to the sofa laying the demon's body not caring that it would be stained. "Iz-Izaya." Didn't demons have special powers? Surely they wouldn't...that easily.

"Wake up. Please." Dropping to his knees his head rested on Izaya's chest hearing nothing. "...I didn't mean to." But he had. He had gone too far. "No." The golden ring grew spreading out beneath him, strange patterns around the edge. There was no fighting it this time. Shizuo slipped crashing to the floor his eyes slipping shut with no idea when he would wake up. Knowing his new brother and soul mate was dead he found that he didn't care what happened.

Shitsuo blinked feeling as if he had missed something. "Sakuraya?" His master had put him to sleep. Looking around he couldn't see any sign of the graceful demon. Pushing himself up the arch angel stepped outside of the house checking to see whether the raven was outside where he had left Tsukishima.

His youngest brother was fast asleep cradled in Roppi's arms. Taking a step forward, the angel paused feeling as if he shouldn't interrupt. It was clear that Sakuraya wasn't outside. It didn't take long to find out that he wasn't inside either. They were still stranded and now there was no sign of the demon. "Sakuraya?"

Shitsuo searched the house high and low looking for both a demon and a fox. Both searches came up empty handed apart from the single note. Get ready. That was it. Two words. Get ready for what? Dropping down on the old sofa, Shitsuo held his head in his hands. Where had the demon gone?
