Lost one
Tsugaru staggered quickly landing. His mother and younger brother were still in the sky exchanging blows. As much as he wanted to be up there his wing hadn't yet healed making him a liability. Even though Shizuo was awake he still couldn't feel anything over the link they shared.
Feeling a presence behind him he turned to see Izaya and Kanra hurrying towards them. "Isn't she bound to you?" The demon asked. At that the female demon shrugged.
"Supposedly. Things don't always work out though. There's some sort of interference." Tsugaru said nothing clutching at his wing, Psyche had already transformed back helping to support him. Helpless all he could do was watch with the three demons as his mother and brother fought each other.
It wasn't long before Delic came swooping down a struggling raven in his arms. "Put me down. How dare you touch me without my permission." Tsugaru blinked seeing how fed up his younger brother looked. Instead of speaking to the demon, his brother turned away staring at what had become of Shizuo.
Pink eyes were narrowed staring up. "Delic." Reaching out his hand was smacked away before he could activate his power. "You know the plan." At that sharp crimson turned to face him.
"What are you talkin-" That was when a gust blew towards them the pair finally landing. Tsugaru sighed threading his fingers through Psyche's squeezing tightly. It was almost over.
"Screw this." Delic snapped rushing forward.

Shizuka landed digging her toes into the ground. Shizuo had only just woken up and already Ikebukuro was a city of ruins. The worst though was yet to come as her son had flown straight into the barrier and smashed it. "Guess I couldn't run from this after all." She muttered twirling the ball in her hand. "The first to break the memory lock. The second to break a seal and the third to put a hole in a curse. Shizuo, this isn't your fault."
Squeezing the ball Shizuka groaned pushing it against her chest where for the last time the numbers began to unravel, for now the loop was broken. She wouldn't be able to heal herself automatically. "I'll tell you what I told the others. If you can hear me..." Her son showed nothing to say he could. "If anyone is to blame, its me. This is all my fault. It just almost took a thousand years for me to remember. I guess that's the price that comes with being a goddess."
Lifting Saika, Shizuka quickly slashed the blade across her arm. It didn't matter, her body was in no danger. Beforehand she had been scared of going too far. The more she was damaged, the more power she would use and risk erasing the slithers of emotion that she desperately wanted to keep hold of. "You see, I wasn't born as an angel. I was born in another realm, one where it never changes, everything is beautiful. I even had my own temple." Making more cuts blood began to flow, not red but silver.
"I was with the one who I loved more than anyone else. We both had our powers. For me I had the power to heal and purify anything I touched, as well as controlling emotions. Hatred, sadness, anger, desire...I controlled it all and it controlled me. I always thought it would be just her and me forever and then a new goddess came along. Of course I cut off her head. My jealousy cursed all of us. My body was manipulated making me half angel, without my emotions or a will of my own I was known as heaven's doll."
"The only way to break the curse was to be bound by the blood of my sins. With every sin I committed I thought I had gained another emotion and was closer to breaking my curse. That's why I set out with my forbidden relationships. But you've inherited my power and I can't guide you. I've condemned you all to your fates. Shizuo, you're an angel, demon and a demi-god. It looks like your older brothers are fine. Knowing Tsuki has met Mikado and managed to carry a god's power means he's part demi-god too. Shizuo, I'm sorry. Don't worry, I'll stop you. Make sure you take care of her and each other."
The oracle would need to be given her head back as well. Squeezing the blade tightly the steel began to crack a white glow covering the sharp edge. Running forward Shizuka closed her eyes plunging the blade into her son's chest. "Goodbye, Shizuo." Shizuka felt her power flood from her surrounding her, her son and anyone that got close.

"No!" Delic screamed running forward. This wasn't what their mother had told them. She had only said everything would be fixed. "Shizuo." He screamed pushing Tsugaru away from him, his hand slamming against his brother's damaged wing. Next to him he could see the cat demon staring in shock before grabbing his own chest and coughing up blood collapsing to his knees.
A white light exploded from his mother's body covering the sword's blade and covering them in a small dome of light. Dragging Tsugaru along with him, Delic refused to watch his beloved be taken away from him. "Shizuo." Getting closer he could see his mother's hair flicker from black to blonde and then pure white, the light spreading consuming everything. "Huh?" The light slowly retreated back to the small circle the pair were standing in before it expanded again.
Delic gasped feeling the light hit him throwing him, his brother and Hibiya back. Something sounded in his ears, his sight blurring before he was knocked away. "Shizuo." Above him he could hear something crack, his halo landing in front glowing a bright crimson before a small crack splintered the ring. In front of his eyes his halo shattered.

Tsukishima trailed behind knowing what was going to happen. Roppi was in front of him both of them watching the bright dome of light that engulfed everything. His friend growled turning around to shield him. "R-Roppi-kun, I need to go there." The wolf only growled again tugging at his clothes with sharp teeth.
Something made him stop, his halo dropping from his head. The crimson ring seemed to shake before splintering. "Roppi-kun, what happens if my h-halo breaks?" The wolf was gone in a matter of seconds, the demon standing in front of him.
"An angel without their halo isn't an angel." Tsuki bit his lip watching as his halo shattered in his hands, the pieces trickling to the ground. Spreading out his wings behind him, crimson eyes widened seeing that his wings were still pure white.
"H-how?" That was when he knew something else had changed. He could no longer hear a voice in his head or feel any of his brothers. The link between them was broken. He no longer knew if they were okay. Full of panic Tsuki ran towards the fading light.

"Hear me now." Shitsuo said slowly holding out one hand. As expected he had been caught, his presence wasn't easy to hide with how the arch angels treated him. "Stop!" Like that the angels trying to hold him simply stopped moving standing still. With a small twitch of his lips the arch angel continued forward.
The cursed demon had helped him after all, giving him the power to stand and fight, after being so weak and powerless. "Hear me now." He spoke again to the oncoming archangel. "Fall." One word was all it took. Shitsuo smiled watching as the angel stopped white wings spread out behind him. With his command every feather turned black, much to the angel's shock. The shining halo shattered.
"What have you done?" The angel screamed. Shitsuo said nothing striding past him. If anyone got in his way they would witness his power. At some point a bright light had taken the wolf demon away from him. Tsukishima must have become a little better at controlling his powers and called the demon back to his side.
Pausing in his tracks, his own halo began acting strangely, the ring pulsating crimson rapidly before cracks began to appear and his halo shattered slipping through his fingers. Without a halo he couldn't be called an angel. Then again had he ever been referred to as an angel? To the higher ups he was a doll. "Not any more." Shitsuo let his wings span out behind him. They hadn't turned black so he couldn't be classed as a fallen. Glancing up he could see more angels heading for him. "My voice is my power. Hear me now!" Outstretching his hand Shitsuo gave his command.

Tsugaru blinked raising his head. The dome of light was gone, leaving behind a wide crater. He was on his back laying in the dirt, Psyche was standing protectively over him. "Tsu-chan, are you okay?" Pulling himself up his wings stretched shaking off the dust. His completely perfect wings. Staring in shock he tore off the remains of the bandages seeing that his wing had been healed. "Shizuo? Mother?"
Standing up he could see Izaya laying face down in the dirt a strange glow around him. Kanra was standing there watching what was happening. In front of him Delic was passed out, a lion cub growling at him. Tsugaru walked past them running to the centre.
There was his mother laying unconscious and unmoving. Tsugaru closed his eyes knowing she wouldn't be waking up any time soon. Laying on its side was a small golden retriever that he knew was his brother. Of course Shizuo would have an animal form like the rest of his other family. His attention though went to the naked woman covered in what looked like silver paint. "Tsu-chan, who's that?"
Wordlessly the blond crouched down picking up the stranger. "If its your wish." He said slowly turning to Psyche. "Can you take my mother?" The rabbit demon nodded scooping up the unconscious angel. Seeing the markings on the puppy's chest, Tsugaru glanced back seeing the cat demon stand. Without a second thought he picked up the golden retriever.
"Why don't you hand Shizu-chan over? He did just cost me another life. Looks like your mother knew that." The demon asked looking pale, wiping the blood from his chin. Tsugaru shook his head knowing this was the demon that had caused this in the first place. "Suit yourself, follow me. The barrier has been destroyed. Once the confusion dies down and both sides realise what has happened there will be a war with Ikebukuro as the battleground. There should be somewhere that hasn't been destroyed."
With no other choice Tsugaru sighed. "What about my mother's friend?"
"Shingen? He was set up right along the barrier. His house would have been ripped apart."

As it turned out the demon owned a number of buildings throughout the city. Which was where they currently were. Again it was the top floor and spacious. Tsugaru gently lowered the stranger onto one of the beds, laying the sleeping puppy next to her. There was a strange familiarity that nagged at him. His mother was lowered next to the woman.
"Who is that?" The cat demon asked stepping into the room. This time he didn't have to do anything the puppy waking up growling as the demon tried to pick him up. "Shizu-chan." The puppy snapped his teeth together chomping down on the raven's fingers. Tsugaru blinked seeing his brother pad up the bed pawing at the unconscious stranger with a soft whine. "Shizu-chan?"

"S-stop!" Tsuki cried trying to stop the raven haired woman from carrying the silver haired stranger into the bathroom. The puppy was barking wildly nipping at the demon's ankles. Following the woman into the bathroom he knew he was powerless to stop whatever was happening. The demons had taken matters into their own hands, the stranger was dropped into the bath where she remained unmoving.
"I can see you're as annoying as your mother." The demon commented grabbing the shower and turning the power on. A hand clamped around his wrist dragging him from the room. He could still hear the puppy barking frantically. Tsuki struggled breaking free from his friend rushing towards the bathroom door.
When he stepped inside again his mouth dropped open in shock. The silver paint was running off the woman's body, the silver clumps in her hair falling away. "Tch, haven't you heard of privacy?" This time when he was ushered out Tsuki did as he was told standing close by his unconscious mother. "Hey, get me some clothes!" The demon shouted out.

The next time the bathroom door opened the demon was carrying the washed and dressed stranger into the room laying her down on the bed. Tsuki blinked crimson orbs widening. The stranger and his mother looked identical except that his mother had bigger breasts and the stranger had mousy brown hair instead of blonde.
The puppy yipped clawing at the bed. Still in shock he held out his hands not wanting to be bitten like the demon woman. Instead the puppy padded forward licking his palm before climbing on. A smile on his face, the angel lifted the puppy onto the bed where it jumped down climbing onto the woman's stomach and falling asleep. "I demand to know what is going on!"
"Hibiya-sama, this has nothing to do with you." Delic sighed keeping his gaze on the sleeping puppy. "But if you must know-" The blond shrugged not feeling in the mood to deal with the arrogant demon. "That woman is Saika. My mother purified Shizuo and the sword in the process." There was something more though. With their halos shattered there would be no way to enter their thoughts or dreams, no way to control them. So why was his brother so attached to Saika?
"I-I get it." Tsuki chimed in next to him clapping his hands together. "Shizuo-nii thinks Saika is his mother. Right, Tsugar-" The youngest angel trailed off staring at the god standing at the doorway. No one else had realised he was there yet. "Mikado-kun." He smiled nervously. The blue eyed raven smiled back.
"Sorry for intruding." The god apologised bowing slightly to the cat demon. Tsuki covered his mouth trying not to scream seeing the severed female head in the raven's hands. His eyes rolled back as he passed out on the floor.
