Ch.15

"What was that?" I asked as he pushed me behind him as he looked outside to the top of the building across the street.

"Its Leo, I guess our luck ran out…I don't think he saw you," turning to me he grabbed both my shoulders. "I'll get him away from here, you go out the back and get home got it?" Raph sternly noted as I could see his intense eyes and his serious brawl through the shades of his helmet. Nodding I leaned up and knocked my helmet with his.

"Alright, get back alright?" nodding we both went our separate directions. Half way through the alley way near the diner I felt my heart stop. Freezing where I stood I could only see an image of Leo and Raph fighting, I felt my heart stop as fear took over me. Turning around I ran back as fast as I could and found Leo and Raph fighting on a roof top. Then I watched it happen, Leo giving Raph a perfect upper cut making Raph's helmet go flying.

"Sweet dreams prince of darkness," jumping down Leo drew his blades getting ready to face me, "So who are you, don't hear much about you in the news," Leo stated as we started to circle one another. This wasn't good I had to get Raph out of here before Leo saw him. Twirling my blades I stayed loose ready to strike and defend. Leo held an intense stare of complete focus and calm as we both started our stand off. Our concentration was broken when we both heard Raph groan. Trying to hide his identity, my small body obviously wasn't enough of a shield.

"Raph…that means," looking straight at me in complete shock I sighed and took off my helmet making Leo step foreword. Looking back Raph looked down to see our weapons drawn and him getting closer to me. Out of anger and guessing reflex, Raph kicked Leo away from me and put me behind him.

"You are so smug you know that? You think the whole world revolves around you; that we couldn't possibly live out with the mighty Leonardo to guide us through our problems, huh?" Pulling at Raph's arm I had to stop him before he would go over the edge.

"Raph…"

"Well I have a news flash for you, we got along just fine without you," Raph shook me off and pushed me back lightly as Leo started to snap back.

"Oh and this qualifies as just fine?" looking at me he glared, "And you, how could you do this? I thought you were better than this, a better influence on him. The both of you dressing up like its Halloween every night. Risking the lives of our family? Come on what were you two thinking?" Leo growled at the both of us which made Raph get defensive.

"Watch it Leo, you cant just come home and expect us to fall in line again like your little soldiers and you keep her out of this you got it Jr.?" Raph shouted as he then pushed me further away from him.

"Raph…" I whispered knowing what was next I had to find a way to defuse the situation or this could get really ugly. The intensity of their eyes and their dangerous stares made me frozen with fear. A fear that I hadn't felt in years, I was too timid and frightened to move…I felt pathetic, but I didn't have the courage to get between them.

"I was training to become a better leader, for you! Why do you hate me for that?"

"Who ever said that I wanted to be lead? I'm better off calling my own shots you got that?"

"You are not ready! Your impatient, hot tempered, a danger to everyone around you," Leo glanced at me for a moment making Raph start to shake in anger.

"Leo…don't…" I whispered as I clutched my chest.

"And more importantly, I'm better than you," Leo finished making Raph chuckle and glare at him again.

"You know something big brother, I am going to have to disagree with you on that one," Raph then drew his sais waving them at Leo to bring it on.

"Don't do this Raph," Leo glared giving him a warning.

"I'm done taking orders," sighing Leo drew his swords and their battle began. I could see flashes of metal in the rain as it gleamed off of the red neon sign behind us. The battle of dominance was hard for me not to watch, I thought my heart stopped for almost the entirety of the fight till they were at a stand off. Gridding their teeth the both fought for dominance, then I saw it, something that I hadn't seen in a long time or at least not with me around anymore; Raph's blind rage. Ever since we started working together and he almost took my head off I helped him with his anger. After I was shot I never saw it again, till now, though this was different he was out of control. Watching as he broke Leo's katana's blades in half he then kicked him to the ground and was about to stab his sigh for the final strike.

"RAPH STOP!" I screamed I watched as he slightly missed Leo's head and buried his blade in to the concert. Falling to my knees I was shaking in fear and didn't even notice the tears coming from my eyes. "Raph…" coming to his senses Raph started to stand up he looked back at me and my heart stopped seeing the hurt and fear in his eyes. Reaching out to try and console him he looked back at Leo who was leaning up. Staring at me Raph then look down ashamed and shook his head and ran.

"RAPH!" I shouted after him as he was almost out of sight.

"Cat…Why?" Leo asked not knowing what to say still in shock about everything.

"Leo, I…" I was cut off by a tranquilizer flying between us. Looking up we were surrounded by stone soldiers and the foot.

"Cat get behind me," Leo slurred as I noticed on was in his arm.

"Leo your hit," I commented as I saw he tried to make a distraction for me to escape, but was easily smacked down. Covering him from any more hits I drew my blades as the woman soldier smirked at me.

"It seems it is our lucky night brothers," looking around confused I still stood ready. One of the stone soldiers put up a picture to me and smirked.

"Your right sister, it is her," growling I twirled my blades and lunged at them giving out a battle cry.

"Yes, the creature and the girl, this is a sign that fate is on our side," one chuckled as I growled continue to attack them making the others chuckle.

"Get away from us and you all can leave in one peace!" I shouted as I felt a force drive me foreword and felt something stab my back.

"Remember, she must be returned unharmed," the woman reminded the male soldiers as I felt all feeling in my body leave making me fall to the ground next to Leo. Seeing one of the soldier come to me and pick me up.

"No, no, NO…RAPH!" I screamed at the top of my lungs as ninjas with them tazed Leo and I making us both scream bloody murder. I couldn't move at all, the only thing I could do was twitch as I leaned out to grab Leo's hand as he grasped mine lightly, knowing it was mostly likely all his strength. Blacking out, I felt a tear escape my eye remembering the rage, confusion and pain in Raph's eyes. Closing my eyes I let the tears fall.

"Raph…" everything then went black as I felt the warmth from Leo's hand escape mine and I was carried away by the strange beings.
