Ch. 17

Walking back in to the elevator with Winters… or my father… I have no idea. My mind was a confused mess as I tried to keep a straight face. While having ladies dress him in his armor uniform he merely asked me about my life. The choices I have made, my job, my family and friends. It was strange having a parent figure again… I had lived so long without one till Master Splinter came along. Shaking it off, I would listen to what he has to say, either way, I needed to know. He was so familiar to me, it was odd.

"You're very quiet, I know for a fact that is not in your nature," he tried to tease making me smile.

"Just confused is all, so in what sense are you my father?"

"Blunt, straight and to the point, you're almost the spitting image of her," he chuckled and turned to me placing both hand on my shoulders. "Please don't think to poorly of me when I say this, let me explain everything after tonight. This will be the night I set everything right, for myself and to ensure you and the people you love still have a future. Can you do that for me, I know I am asking a lot," nodding I then glared up at him putting him in a bit of shock.

"Then answer me this if you can be honest, where is my friend Leo?" I coldly questioned as venom dripped from every word. The last thing I remember after coming out of the truck before I blacked out again was us being separated. From the looks of it he got the worst of it. He was far gone; not even bumping his leg in to a wall would wake him, knowing that even a slight pen drop could easily wake him normally.

"Leo?"

"Yes, Leo, was taken along with me," frowning he sighed.

"Then mostly likely he is being kept below in a holding cell, don't worry he is safe. I have ordered that anyone captured to be interrogated before they are let go," keeping my steady glare he seemed to be use to this look… I must look just like who ever my real mother was.

"Interrogated how?"

"Should you ask?"

"If he is harmed I swear I'll-"

"Oh so cute a little girl's threat".

"Oh please," I stated bitterly catching his attention, "if I am anything like the woman who is my mother then you know that this little girl doesn't threat, she promises," giving him a smirk he nodded understanding as the doors opened to the lobby.

"Your protective nature, compassion and even your eyes are like her's. Though you might have picked up your fighting feisty spirit from me," he gave a warm smile as I smirked back.

"Thank god not you pride".

"Proud, me?" taking a look around the lobby, just the lobby, and then giving him a sarcastic look I rolled my eyes.

"No, proud you are" smiling wider he nodded down at me.

"And proud I am," walking foreword I felt my heart sink, what the hell did I get myself in to? I wondered as I walked up to the tone tablets that would open the portal to the world of monsters. Being motioned up the stairs I came to the very top to the stone soldiers that had captured me. Glaring at them their ring leader smirked down at me.

"You have done well Aguila, brothers and sister, I apologize in withholding this from you," pushing me in to view Winters laid his hands on my shoulders warmly as he smiled. "This is my daughter, Catherine Danica Thompson," he smiled proudly as I awkwardly tried to offer out my hand while trying to figure out how to make them tell me where Leo was. Everything that would of have worked on a normal person would be impossible when your opponents are made out of freaking stone! I mentally cursed at the fact that they were stone as I kept my eye on them.

"Harboring secrets is nothing new is it brother, especially from us," Aguila commented as the others started to circle us.

"What is the meaning of this brother?"

"You have planned to take away our immortality," pulling me from Winters the lady general held a blade to my neck and smiled.

"She is pretty isn't she Yaotl," she mused as Winters struggled to not lash out, "I use to have pretty hair like yours and soft skin," she purred as her blade roughly stroked the side of my neck to my collar bone.

"Let her go Serpiente she is no threat to you," laughing she then grabbed me by the hair.

"If she is your blood brother than yes, warrior blood runs through her veins," she mused as I tried to find away out of the situation. Growling I then twisted her wrist, backed up and threw her over me. Stumbling to gain balance from my heels I watched as she merely flipped and stood back up again with a smirk.

"Sorry you're not my type lady," I smirked before kicking off my heels and stood ready for what came next. Aguila and the other men smirked.

"Well, she does have what is left of your spirit Yaotl, let us see if she truly is blood from the brotherhood," he smirked as the fight between them and us started.

Climbing over the wall with the rest I started the charge and took down as many foot as I could. Throwing them like rag dolls, I didn't have time to play like I use to. My brother and my goofy partner were in there, and I wasn't going to let some freak put his hands on her…them. Looking around seeing my friends and family fight, Master Splinter looked like he was having the time of his life as everything just felt natural again. It felt off not having Cat next to me fighting. In a moment like this, being surrounded by foot, she would of thrown her knives at the two behind me, charged at me as I would grab her arms and she would run, kicking the foot in the face then flip off drawing her double blades. For a chick she would always come packing. Shaking it off we fought as hard and fast as we could just to get to the door.

After fighting out hearts out Casey helped seal the entrance by doing what he does best; breaking the fine china. Finally, that bone head was good for something. As we were fighting the portal had opened, it was almost a similar site from Independence Day, though nothing was being destroyed, yet.

"Whoa check it out," Mikey gawked at the portal as well as the strange canisters that circled the whole portal.

"That would be the swirling vortex to another world, I would presume," Don commented sarcastically as I could already tell he was trying to figure out a way to close it.

"Cool I want one," Mikey jeered as he went up to the first canister, more than likely Leo and Cat would be in one, hopefully. Checking each of them I heard Mikey's girly scream as the monster we fought a few weeks ago came out and roared in his face. Shaking my head I looked in the one I had and sighed in relief. There he was.

"Leo, I got him!" Don then blasted the door off as I went back in and search the small space. Shaking my head I helped him out as he struggled just to stand. "Careful," I warned as he tried to shake it off. Casey then handed me the new katanas as Leo stared up at me wryly. Giving a slight smile I handed them to him. "You're going to need these if you want to lead us out of here," I watched as he smiled back taking the blades.

"I'm gonna need you to," nodding he then noticed something, "Where is Catherine?"

"Hoping you would tell us," I sighed as the fire in his eyes blew up in to rage. Before we all could do anything we heard a scream and Winters flying across the room and landed hard next to us.

"Winters?"

"Looks more like Fall, get it?" Mikey joked as Don glared.

"Mikey, remember our talk," we all held our breath, the one person who could have any idea where our girl was, was mostly likely dead on the cold floor of his lobby… just great.
