After last year's Valentine Day, Kagome was dreading White Day. She did not pour her heart into it as last year. She made some chocolates for him.

She did take the time out to make it look like the hen he was attached to. The delighted look on his face was worth it. She could still see his smiling face.

She has been avoiding him today. Kagome did not want to open up a package and get another snake. She would much rather get Hojo medical gifts then that. Maybe she was not meant to get a romantic gift, just strange ones. She would really prefer flowers or candy.

Haru did not understand why Kagome ran away last year after getting his gift. It was a perfectly fine snake. He spent hours looking for the right one, just for her to leave it around the school. He took it home and kept it for himself. He named it Lawrence. This year he will not waste his time hunting for the prefect gift. Shoei suggested flowers or candy. That seemed kind of lame to him. He was thinking about giving her a pen. But Shoei did not think it would be a good idea.

So he went with both. He wrap up a Bic pen and picked some dandelions for her. It took him all day to find her. Didn't she want her White Day gift?

"Kagome, I finally found you. Here is your present," He gave her the dandelions and a wrap package. A crowd was gathering around to see what weird gift she would get. Kagome held it with shaky hands. She was pale. Holding it away from her, she open the gift slowly. Everyone was staring, waiting for something to jump out. They expected a bug or a spider. A look of relief cross Kagome's face and a sound of disappointment from the crowd. It was not alive and only a ink pen.

"Oh, I also got you this," Handing a package of M&M's. Her face light up. Haru thought maybe giving candy is not such an bad idea after all.

Kagome though at least it is better than last year. Maybe next year he would move up from weeds to flowers and to a box of chocolates. It is much better than a snake.

Haru was glad that she was happy, but still thought the snake was a better gift.
