This is the 5th chapter of Destiny. I hope you all enjoy it. Oh, and in the 4th chapter, there was a mistake. I had written: "I'm glad you're adjusting," Shadow Frost said raising an eyebrow at the scene in front of her. Instead of Shadow Frost, it was supposed to be Flame Heart. Sorry about that. Thanks to my faithful reviewer, I found the mistake. So: I don't own Fruits Basket or any of the characters from Fruits Basket. The characters I do own are the ones that don't come out in Fruits Basket. Fruits Basket fans should know who they are.

Tohru hesitates before touching the book. Then she peeked in. But she didn't get to see because they all heard a loud slam revealing a very angry Blade.

"Seriously, you all are making it harder than it should be," Blade said.

"Well, if you thought we'd take it easy on you, you thought wrong," Uo retorted.

"You should have kept the heavy book," Hana mutters to Uo. She looks at Hana and nods in agreement. Tohru had dropped the book with surprise from when she heard the door slam. Now that she sees Blade, she's shaking in fear.

"Well, if it isn't Tohru. I heard that Shadow Frost is hunting you down. She even sent someone to get you. Now who was that person? Oh, right. It's me she sent," he said with a smirk.

"You know, I don't know how you can like a person like her. How do you even know that she's not using you?" Hana said to him.

"She would never do that to me!" Blade yelled angrily.

"How do you know for sure?" Hana asked.

"The reason is because she said that she loved me," Blade said his green eyes starting to turn a dark grey.

"But does she really mean it?" asked Hana.

"Shut up!" Blade yells and lunges at them. They all ran different directions. Since there was only one door, it was going to be impossible to escape from Blade. If they escaped, it would take some sort of a miracle.

"Is there any way we can escape?!" Uo yelled. She dodged a chair that was thrown at her. Hana was nearby and was currently avoiding being hit by a table.

"No, I don't think so. Unless…." Hana looked at Tohru at this point and the picture of her being aflame. She started making connections to what Flame Heart described to them in the past week. Flame Heart had said that the Power of Light is an amazing thing. The only way to defeat the darkness is with light.

"Unless what?" Uo asked desperate to escape.

"Tohru has to discover her power now unless someone miraculously comes to save us!" Hana said. "And right now, the chances of someone saving us are slim," she continues.

Tohru had heard what Hana had said but she honestly didn't know how to work her power. Not only that, but the book is nearby Blade. How was she supposed to know how to work it? She had to at least try to get the book. So in a daring attempt, she quickly crawled to where the book was while Blade was distracted. She took the book and ran to the other side of the room and hid where Blade wouldn't find her.

She was about to open the book when Blade ran to where she was and caught her. He yanked the book out of her arms and ripped it apart. Then he got a lighter and set the ruined book on fire. All hope was lost now. And you would think that Flame Heart may know about the Power of Light because this room was in her castle and the book belongs to her library. But, Flame Heart had told them that everyone, even she, was forbidden to open and read that book. The only one who can read it was Tohru. And even if someone did try to attempt to read it, they wouldn't understand it because it's written in a language that somehow only the Chosen One would understand.

Then, they heard sarcastic laughter. "Heeheehee…you little…idiot. Blade you actually thought I would keep the book in harm's way?" Flame Heart laughed sarcastically.

"Shut up!" Blade growled.

"Hey, you're dating my sister, aren't you?" she chuckled.

"Sister?!" Hana, Uo and Tohru yelled at the same time.

"…uh," Blade said uncomfortably.

"Yeah, tell her I got a message for her. Tell her: she's lost once again and if she can't deal with it, then surrender honorably. Oh, and this is a message for you."

"…" Blade glared at Flame Heart.

Then, suddenly a white flame engulfed Flame Heart, her eyes turning completely silver. "By the white flame that resides within me, I send you back to your dimension!" Flame Heart declared. Suddenly, a portal engulf in white flames appeared, showing the dark dimension of Shadow Frost. She firmly pushed Blade in, causing him to scream in pain as the white flames licked at him. The girls watched in shock and stared at Flame Heart warily.

"…she's your sister?" Hana finally asked.

"Yes, she is…she happened to be…er, how would you say this?"

"Misguided?" Hana asked.

"Yes, that's the word I was looking for. She knew her destiny at the age of fourteen. Our parents were horrified when they found out and immediately placed her in a dark room to herself, not to be seen…not to be spoken too. With a life like that, what more would you expect? Because of my parents' foolish mistake, she was convinced she was evil, though inside, she really wasn't. She had the chance to change destiny no matter what some old prophecy said. But…she chose to believe in lies," Flame Heart explained with a sad expression.

"…" the girls stared at Flame Heart in a stunned silence.

Flame Heart sighed and spoke, "I know…this may be asking too much, but…if you see my sister, just…don't hurt her too much."

Tohru looks at Flame Heart and said, "Why is it me? Why…can't it be somebody else?"

"A fallen warrior had asked herself the very same thing. But, she never gave up on the war. She never gave up on her people and gave it all she got. She was rewarded greatly in the end. You, Tohru, may not be a warrior of some sort, but you have something within you that is enough to defeat this shadow that covers the Earth. You have…the Power of Light."

"But…what is it?" Tohru asked curiously.

"The Power of Light is everything within you. You are pure, and the Power of Light is fueled by your own pureness. It is not just a fire that engulfs you…it is your own light, your pureness in the form of fire," Flame Heart answered.

"How are you able to flame yourself up? I saw you light fire just now," Uo commented.

"Well, there is a reason they call me "Flame Heart", isn't there?" Flame Heart answered. "My heart has a flame that surrounds it. But, it's different. It is fueled by a need for justice, and similarly to Tohru's power, I can "flame up"."

"That's amazing," Tohru commented. "Why was your sister called "Shadow Frost"? Is there a reason just like yours?"

"…she was supposed to be the shadow that covers the world in darkness and she's cold hearted."

"…well, that does make sense, no offense Flame Heart," Uo commented.

Flame Heart shrugs, "It's true, so I won't take any offense to it."

"So, if that book there was a decoy, then…where's the real book?" Hana asked.

"Oh, it's in my room," Flame Heart answered. All three girls blinked at her. "Well, they expect so much secretive stuff that they would least suspect it was in my room," Flame Heart added answering the unspoken question.

All of them headed in Flame Heart's room. Once they entered, Flame Heart found the book and blew the dust off it. She carefully handed the book to Tohru and sat down on her bed with a tired expression on her face.

"Weren't you fighting?" Hana asked remembering the army that was outside.

"Oh, the army of nincompoops? Taken care of already…" Flame Heart answered. "They weren't trained as long as my soldiers, so they stood little chance."

"How long have you been ruling?" Tohru asked carefully opening the book.

"Around fifteen years old," Flame Heart answered uneasily.

"How did that happen?" Uo asked.

"…" Flame Heart stayed silent.

"Flame Heart?" Tohru asked.

"…my parents died. After one year of solitude, Shadow Frost finally snapped. She escaped and for her vengeance, she unleashed a beast upon them…using a spell. The room was covered in darkness and the only thing I heard was their tortured screaming," Flame Heart explained painfully after some hesitancy.

"I'm sorry," Tohru apologized feeling for the young woman.

Flame Heart sighed and said, "It isn't of importance."

"No, it is," Tohru insisted. "I know how you feel. My mother had died in a car accident. It…isn't the best thing in the world to find out your parents had died," she added painfully.

Flame Heart sighed and said, "I'm sorry about your parents."

"It's alright," Tohru replied.

"No, it isn't. I shouldn't be bringing up such delicate matters. I'm…I'm supposed to be stronger than this if I am going to play my part in ending this war," Flame Heart explained.

"What is your part in this war? Is there another prophecy that involves you?" Hana asks.

"Yes," Flame Heart answered shortly, refusing to reveal any more.

"Well, what does it say about you?" Uo asked.

"Nothing important," Flame Heart answered.

"Are you sure? It seems to really be bothering you," Hana cut in.

While the others tried to get Flame Heart to tell her part in ending this war, Tohru had looked at the pages in the book. They showed pictures of a white flame…it was Flame Heart. And there, Shadow Frost was on her knees at the mercy of both Tohru and Flame Heart. What did Flame Heart have to do with this war? She flicked to an important page: the page that told her how to activate her powers.

The book read: "The only way for the Chosen One to access the Power of Light is for her to believe in herself. The Chosen One must concentrate on what's within her which is her pureness. She must concentrate on all things that are noble, right, pure and lovely. Only then, will she truly activate her true potential."

"Flame Heart, that's all I needed to do?" Tohru asked curiously as she peered at Flame Heart.

"Tohru, you did need to believe in yourself. That's what stopped you from ever having that flame within you," Flame Heart answered, seeming relieved to get out of the conversation she was having with the others.

"So, all I have to do is—"

CRASH!

Flame Heart looked up to see a giant vulture had crashed through the wall, dropping off a giant mirror like thing. Then, it had disappeared like mist. Suddenly, on the mirror, was Shadow Frost herself with an angry look in her eyes.

Flame Heart smirked, "Mirror, mirror on the wall, who's the biggest idi-"

"Don't even go there!" Shadow Frost snapped. "I warned you not to interfere with my plans some time ago dear sister…"

"And you actually thought I would listen to you? Then, you really don't know me, Shadow Frost," Flame Heart commented with indifference.

"I had warned you what would happen! And now you're going to pay."

"What is going on in your head? Yeah...you have issues. Is it Blade? Do me a favor and tell him I said hi. And tell him I still think he's an idiot."

"He already told me your message. It's only fair I tell you mine! Is that pathetic little optimistic still there?"

Tohru gulped nervously while Flame Heart stared back at Shadow Frost unaffected. "I think she's had enough of you for one day," Flame Heart said. "Now, go and do what evil people do. Hugs and kisses."

Then, Shadow Frost let out an inhumane growl. Tohru jumped while the others stared at her very surprised. Flame Heart stared at her indifferently. "Trust me, kids. You get used to the growling," Flame Heart told the girls. "...especially, when I had to deal with that every time we would bicker. It's nothing new," Flame Heart continued.

"You haven't heard the last of me, Flame Heart!" Shadow Frost angrily yelled. "I will have veng-"

"Yeah, yeah, something about revenge and darkness," Flame Heart said sending a punch to the mirror and breaking it. She looked at it with a full grin of satisfaction. She could almost hear her sister screaming in frustration. The thought of it almost made her smirk.

"Um, I'd hate to interrupt, but...how do I get stronger with this power? I don't even know how it works," Tohru asked.

"Simple, I'll give you one-to-one training on that. Our powers work similarly, so it shouldn't be much of a problem," Flame Heart answered. Or will it?

Well, that's all for this chapter. Review, review, review please. I need to know how I could improve in any way. So, shocking wasn't it? Flame Heart is Shadow Frost's sister? How is this even possible? Well, all's possible in the world of fantasy. Hehehe...
