~Before I start I want to apologize for my long absence, I am a student and life as a student can be rough and with a job along side it, there is very little time. I've been blessed with some time off so I will try to continue my story so thank you for your patience.
Ch. 25
It was a week and Don was still trying to break through the layers of encrypted code. Who ever downloaded the virus wanted to make sure we didn't know more than we already did. It bothered all of us, not just what was in the files, but our recent discovery. When Don wasn't trying to break the code, he was trying to track down who downloaded the virus…from what we had seen when Don found out someone hacked his system, his system… we all saw nothing but vengeance in Don's eyes as he viciously started his work. When Don finally found the person's IP address and track who ever this was down. It then turned in to a dead end. As Don tinkered with the endless code we all went back to our normal lives.
Cleaning up my table after my last client I lighted one of my scented candles to help sooth the room before walking out to see if my next client was there. Coming to the therapist station in the middle of the back room where a few girls stood drinking coffee and going through the computer for their schedule.
"Anyone?" I asked the young girl with the lap top; the petite girl smiled up at me with her hazel eyes and shook her bleach blonde and pink hair.
"Nope," she smiled as she gave emphases on the p, "He's running a bit late, though I wouldn't hold my breathe; he's already no showed twice," she then went straight back to facebook and giggled at a funny cat video.
"Trish, I love how simple you are darling," I petted her head as she gave a playful glare and shoved my hand off. Then swaying past me, handing me a coffee mug, a high heeled Latina leaned over and pinched Trish's cheeks making the young girl struggle.
"Isn't she so cute," she swooned as Trish shoved her off.
"Really Sara, seriously why me?" Walking up to the counter near the coffee maker I made my coffee as a brunette with bejeweled glasses smiled at the display in front of her and continued to sip her coffee.
"Well Trish, you're the baby, you can eve ask Cat here," she smirked at me making me laugh.
"Yep its tradition, Leslie gave me hell when I first came here," I laughed as the brunette gave me a small smile and sipped her mug before answer the phone.
"Fine, hire someone else already I'm sick of being the baby!" Trish sulked making us all giggle at one another.
"I'm glad to see my girls are having fun," looking up we all came eye to eye with the salon owner; Jonah. Just to put him in a nut shell, Sara would describe him as, "he is six feet of lean pure brown sugar". Jonas was a good looking man and held the body to prove it; he held soft dark brown eyes and specialized in Reiki along with aroma therapy.
"Hey Jonas," all the girls sung as the gawked at him as he passed through them and grabbed an extra mug from the cabinet.
"Hey ladies, everyone ready for the weekend?" Jonas turned to lean against the counter as all the girls circled him and started to chat things up.
"What about you Cat, how is everything? Going from being shot to having you friend in the hospital, you alright?" Yes I had to lie about, what happened at Winters, as well as making up something so I could have a few days to recover from my rude awakening of me having the possibility that I'm a certain species of "it", since we don't know what I am or what will happen.
"Yeah he's feeling better, thanks," he gave a sweet smile and nodded as our clients came and our day continued. Helping close up Jonas let the girls go home as I finished the last room and the hired cleaning crew would come in through the weekend and do the rest.
"Ready little Cat?" Jonas teased with a playful grin making me laugh.
"Jonas you and I both know there is nothing small about me," he laughed as we both walked out and he locked the doors. Walking down the street we both played around and laughed. Jonas and I were both friends, though sadly he wasn't very social outside of work. That is what always got to the girls, the mysterious side of what he did outside work. To be honest no one really knew much about Jonas other than what he talks about at work.
"So are you going to tell me about this guy?"
"What guy, don't you know you're the only one," I teased as Jonas put his hand to his broad chest and gave a loving sigh.
"I'm touched darling, though I know a girl when she has been touched by a man," Jonas gave a knowing stare as I laughed.
"Ok I think you would be the first one to know if I was so called "touched"."
"Sure, true, though I see that sparkle," he teased making me laugh as we stopped at my apartment building.
"Ok fine, I do like a guy, though it's… kinda complicated…" and there was no way Jonas could ever imagine.
"Alright, I'll respect that little Cat, though I wont let you off the hook besides," Jonas took my hands and scanned me up and down with a smile and playful gave a sexy wink making me burst out laughing. "You are the sweetest mocha I have ever seen how could he not want you?"
"As I said it's complicated," nodding he gave up and we both went out separate directions home.
I was always the hot head of the group so hearing me swearing was just a typical day. Though, hearing it from Donnie was something new…especially when he is starting to sound like me. We all watched at a safe distance from the kitchen as we watch Donnie go mad over trying to get rid of the virus, which was now damaging his whole system. Mikey never took his eyes off of the display as he munched on cold pizza and Leo was in shock against the counter as for me, I was literally trying not to laugh. So this is what it was like when ever I went on a rampage. Wow.
"Hey guys-"
"Son of a –"
"DONEATELLO!" the purple masked brother stared back at the person at the entrance with rage filled eyes. The moment we all stared at the entrance we saw Cat standing there with her bag gawking at Don in shock. "Don are you alright?" Cat asked as she started to enter his territory at that moment we saw Don's rage turn to instant exhaustion as he sat on the ground and tossed a cricket board to the side and rubbed his temples. We watched sighed and walked up to him and glared down at him.
"What is all this, since when are you a Raph?"
"HEY!" I retorted as everyone was trying to hide their snickering.
"A Raph, I like how that is a new title of being in complete rage," Don then thought about it and nodded, "Never mind your right, I need to step away or I will end up destroying it," walking away we watched as Cat stopped him and took out her apartment keys.
"This is your for the night, just don't make a mess and my knickers are off limits got it," Cat teased making Don give her a small smile as he left silently. Smirking I walked up to her and stood behind her, each time I stood this close to her I remember how small she was compared to me. Turning to me, Cat stared up at me with her bright sea foam eyes and gave me a gentle smile. Her curly hair was up in a small bun and a few curls fell and cradled her face. Cat then tilted her head and stared up at me giving a playful look as she raised her brawl.
"Like what you see mean green?" chuckling I rolled my eyes and took her bag.
"Come on Splinter said we have one last night, you ready?" I asked as a bright smile appeared on her sun kissed face, watching as Cat's eyes sparkled I knew she was ready. Taking her stuff up stairs she stole my room as I got dressed in the bathroom. Walking down stairs, Leo stared me down as he leaned against a pillar with his arms crossed. Rolling my eyes I sighed.
"What is it fearless?"
"You're not concerned about Cat going out again?"
"Look the last time was a bit rough, because someone was hunting after us and then everything went to hell. I wonder who was hunting after us?" I glared back as he gave a stern stare.
"This isn't safe for her," Leo argued as I growled.
"It isn't safe for you either," I shot back as he sighed.
"Look all I'm saying is that… look after her closely," with that Leo walked past me to his room as Cat came walking down stairs in her suit. Staring down at me she smiled as she hooked on her bullet proof vest.
"We ready?"
"Yep," I smirked as we both headed out as Leo watched us leave with a firm glare. Coming to the surface I opened the garage door to for my bike and the rest of my gear. Cat waltzed to the other side and started to strap on her daggers in their holsters as I did the same with my chains. Watching her I let Leo's words sink in a bit as I watched Cat twirled her double blades before placing them on her waist.
"You alright?" looking up I heard Cat call out to me as she leaned over my bike. Shaking my head I leaned back against the table as we stared at each other.
"You sure you wanna go out, I mean last time you were captured by stone soldiers," I tried to laugh it off; though the truth was I was terrified. I could still see Cat being kidnapped again and that general holding his blade to her neck. It all started to replay again, I finally got it to stop, but now that we were about to go out again it was all that I was seeing now.
"Raph?" coming back to reality I could feel Cat's small hand on my cheek as she gaze up at my concerned. I only stared back and sighed no moving an inch as she saw straight through me. That's what I always liked about her; she never asked me what was wrong. She could read me like an open book. "You think I'll be kidnapped?" there we go.
"Would you blame me?" she shook her head as she let go of my cheek staring up at me her eyes started to fill with a stubborn flame.
"You know I'm going out with or with out you right?" this made me chuckle and rub the back of my neck and gave a small smile.
"Couldn't stop you if I tried huh?"
"Nope, but you welcome to come along," she teased as she hopped on my back and patted the seat in front of her. "Also I'm not strong enough to steering this big monster," she teased making me shake my head.
"Yeah your nothing but trouble you know that?" I teased and before hopping on and turning the keep and kicking the kick stand up. Pulling on my helmet I smirked hearing the police radio traffic in my ear I started to feel like my old self again. Then I could feel Cat's arms wrap around me, feel the old rush from our old runs I smirked and shot out of my garage like a bullet looking for trouble.
