I don't really have much to say. Any songs mentioned in the chapter are property of their respective creator, I only used them to add a little dialogue. For your sake, the readers, I'd recommend listening to the song as it comes up. Not much else. Here is the order of the music as it appears:

1. Maduk ft. Veela - Ghost Assassin

2. Drop Exile - Cat Valiant

3. Warptech & Soulfy - Peace

Fuck the Pokemon\Human Speech Barrier

Italics = Karros Thoughts

..boy I missed saying that.

A few hours later, I slowly roused back into reality, no longer asleep. I felt Windie's arm.. paw.. I still don't know what the correct term is.. wrapped around me as she still cuddled me into her fur. But as I looked around drowsily, I saw that Lily had since left me and Windie; probably out with Casey doing who-knows-what.

Slowly I moved out from Windie's grasp so I didn't wake her. As I slid away from her, she shifted lightly and yawned, before waking up and looking at me with sleepy eyes. Well so much for not waking her up. "Sorry if I woke up you up."

"It's fine, I'd have liked to get up anyways. What time is it?" She asked. I sat on the edge of the bed and looked around for a clock and saw one sitting on the nightstand.

"Looks to be about 10 at night." I said. She nodded and a moment later I heard her stomach growl lightly. I looked at her and grinned, "Hungry I take it?" She nodded,

"Haven't eaten all day except that puny breakfast this morning. What about you?" She asked. I shook my head,

"Not really." No more than two seconds later, my stomach made its presence known with a loud rumble. She looked at me with a smug look, "Okay, fine. Maybe a bit. I'll make us both something-"

"No. no cooking," She cut in, "We're going to go out and get food. I know this place Mike likes to go and hang out at with Gem so we can go there and see if they're there." She said as she got up out of bed. I wanted to protest but decided against it and just shrugged.

"If you say so." I said. She nodded and walked out of the room with me following behind her.

"Hope you don't mind loud music!"

Not much longer, we arrived at this placed called Torpor. It looked to be a club of some sorts with two men in black suits standing guard in front of two red ropes which looked to be where the line was. There were quite a few people lined up so it looked like we would be waiting a while. Even from standing on the outside, loud music could be heard; it sounded like it could have been some electronic music. "Two things," I said looking to Windie, "First.. what's with the name?" I asked.

"No clue. The owner apparently went on some name generating website and liked that so stuck with it." She answered.

"Fair enough. Second, this isn't the club that Arabella and Casey have told me about, is it?" I asked cautiously.

"No, that's a much bigger club on the other side of Talor. Not saying that there isn't that thing here in this one," She said with a wink, "it's just a lot less common."

"I see. Guess I have to stay on my toes."

"Don't worry. I'll protect you from the big monsters," She joked as she walked to the two in front of the entrance.

"Hello, Windie," One of them said as she walked up. She nodded to him as he moved out of her way and let her in. I stopped in my tracks,

"What about the line?" I asked.

"We have priority. When you work higher up, you have a higher priority to get into clubs and bars like these without having to wait in lines. Normally they'd make you wait since you haven't actually started your job but since you're with me, it still counts." She answered as she kept walking. I looked to the big guy who let her in and he nodded.

Seems wrong but I'm not complaining.

I ran in and immediately, the loudness of the music intensified tenfold. It was easily identifiable to be some kind of Drum and Bass music playing; not that I'm complaining since it was my favorite genre of music. Down a hallway lead to what looked to be the dance floor and main room of Torpor. I looked around a moment and couldn't see Windie so I figured I'd look in the main room since that seemed like the most logical place she'd have gone if she was looking for Mike and Gem.

I walked down the hallway to the dance floor and saw a few doors that led to various other parts of the club. As I walked in, I peeked at them and saw they were the kitchen and the restrooms. Knocking those off as possible locations she could have been, well at least two of the three since I couldn't really check in the ladies room, I continued to the main room.

As soon as I stepped into it, I was assaulted with a light cloud of smoke that I somehow didn't see. I assumed it was from some kind of smoke machine to add some kind of ambiance to the mood so I didn't pay it much mind. I looked around the room, but not for Windie. Instead I looked around in awe at what I saw.

What I originally thought was only a one-floored club was actually a two-floored one. I had yet to find the stairs yet but that'd be the next task if I didn't find Windie. Hanging from the ceiling were two sets of strobe lights sending off colored beams in every random direction with the beat of the song.

Off to the left side of the place was the dj who was jumping up and down with the music, waving his hands around with the music. I couldn't help but grin at his goofy look and giant smile. He looked like he was having a ton of fun and I kind of envied him as he was doing something I used to want to do.

Then to the right was the bar. Several Pokemon and humans were all sitting there, drinking the night away while talking and laughing; generally having a blast by the looks of it. Unlike the traditional bar having only one person working the bars alcoholic drinks, this one had three of them working it with one being a Machamp who was showing off to the small crowd watching him toss the drinks between his hands in some kind of mixing way.

Finally, in the center of the room was the dance floor itself. It was slightly elevated so you had to take a step up to get onto it. The floor itself was decorated with colored tiles all over it that shone brightly. People and Pokemon were all jumping around and dancing happily. There was a group of about five people and Pokemon who were all in a group together all taking turns being in the center of their little group showing off their dance moves... if they could even be called that.

I looked around the center of the club to see if I could see Windie but to my luck I didn't. Deciding I could go ask one of the barkeepers if they knew where she could be, I decided to walk up there. I took an empty seat on the end of the bar where it seemed to be a bit empty. One of the guys who was working on another person's drink looked at me,

"Will be with you in one moment bud!" He hollered over the music. I waved him off,

"No rush!" I yelled back. He nodded and smiled and got back to making the drink for his customer. I sat there for a moment and just listened to the music. It was actually a song I knew so I couldn't help but sing along to it.

"Yeah I remember it all

Bleeding and shout out my calls

The air was so dusty

Her armor getting rusty

She found thoughts she never had

Her young ones were just as bad

She winced out her weapon.."

I sang. The song seemed to be reaching a potential drop in the song and everyone knew it. They all stopped dancing as the dj rose his hands. A moment later, he threw his hands down as the beat dropped and everyone went back to their dancing frenzy and the lyrics picked up again.

"Hole in her heart, feel like a lady

Fingers apart, cold, rugged and waiting

'I can't believe it, Jim, how did you know where to find me?

I kept the feelings in and really thought it had cost me.'

Drops in her goggles aren't of love

Something's really wrong and it feels awful

Even though her body's back to normal

She once was a villain and it's hiding in her soul!"

I continued to sing as I bobbed my head lightly to the music. During my little moment, I hadn't even noticed a Goodra had taken a seat next to me. "Nice voice," It said. I looked over to her,

"Thanks," I said as I blushed lightly. I turned back towards the bar and waited for the barkeep.

"Don't let me stop you. I was just listening." She said with a smile. I shrugged,

"Eh, I'll pass. Not a huge fan of crowds." I said as I chuckled.

"Haven't seen you here before. Your first time here, I assume?" She asked. I nodded,

"Yeah. Actually got here a few hours ago."

"Oh! Well welcome! My name's Tinder!" She said as she held out her hand with a smile. I smiled back,

"Thanks, and I'm Karros." I said as I shook her hand. It squished lightly due to how her body composition was. "Say, you haven't seen an Arcanine have you?" I asked.

"Oh your preference is Arcanine? Not bad, I hear they're very good." She said with a wink. I looked at her confusedly,

"Pardon?"

"Why not let me show you what a real woman is like?" She winked again. I looked at her wide eyed and was about to say something before I heard a familiar voice.

"Tinder, back off," I turned to see it was Windie was standing behind her, "He's with me."

"Ugh," Tinder scoffed, "Why do you always have to ruin my fun Windie?" She said as she got up and started to walk away. Before she got far enough away, she looked back to me, "Keep that offer in mind, Karros! I'll be here in case you change your mind!" I nodded and turned to Windie,

"I owe you one." I said. She giggled,

"Don't worry about it. I'll make you pay up someday." She smiled.

"Whatever it may be, I hope it's worth it because I really didn't feel like going with her. And I thought you said I wouldn't have to deal with that." She shook her head,

"Nope, I didn't say you wouldn't. I said it's possible but not as often as if you were at the main club. But that's not important. Come on, Mike is waiting," She said. I nodded and got up to follow her.

She led me past the entrance and the dj towards a set of stairs that were also guarded by two people. Windie walked passed them as they moved. I went to follow her but they both put their hands up to block my way. "Sorry, VIP only." The both said in unison.

"Let him up." I heard Mike yell from the top. They both looked to each other a second and nodded then stepped out of the way. I quickly climbed the stairs and looked around. A moment later, I saw Mike, Gem, Windie, and Arabella all sitting at a table at the end of the small walkway. I walked over to them and took an empty seat at the table.

"Howdy Karros. Didn't think you'd be up tonight." He said.

"I guess that's what happens when I'm hungry." I said. He nodded,

"That's how it usually is. I heard you met Tinder?" He laughed.

"Yeah, I did. Wasn't really expecting that. Well, at least already." I said with a sigh. He shrugged,

"Happens. At least Windie was there. I'm not much of a guy to say no.. to anything. And I mean anything." I chuckled nervously. He laughed,

"Quite alright. You'll learn to get used to it or you'll start saying no. Whichever happens first." He said.

"Probably get used to it." I said. He nodded,

"Most likely." A couple minutes passed by as we talked about random things. I half listened to the music as me and Mike talked. Some new song had just started where a guy with an incredibly deep voice was mumbling words that I couldn't understand. From up here, I couldn't really here everyone as much on the bottom floor but I heard them starting to cheer as the bass dropped. I didn't really understand why and didn't really care to ask.

"Hello everyone," A Blaziken said as he walked up to our table, "I'm Jambo and I'll be your server this fine night. Can I start you all off with some drinks?" He asked. We all told him what we wanted and he nodded happily before walking away. Another moment later, he returned with our drinks. "Would you all like to go ahead and place and order or would you like a few minutes?"

"Nope, we're ready." He said.

"Wait, I haven't even been given a menu." I said. Mike waved his hand,

"Me and him will have the Hawaiian burgers." Mike said. I tried to open my mouth to protest but found that I literally couldn't. I tried to find out why but then that's when I noticed that the jewel on Gem's head was glowing slightly. I was much more than confused as to why they didn't want me to speak.

"Alright! Your food will be out shortly!" I heard Jambo say before he ran off.

"You can stop now Gem." Mike said. I moved my lips around to make sure that I could still use them then looked at them both as if I was saying 'Really?'.

"Fucking Psychic types.." I mumbled.

"Watch yourself. I could do so much to you right now if you don't watch yourself." I heard Gem say in my mind. I narrowed my eyes at her before looking to Mike,

"What was that about? Why didn't you let me get what I wanted? I don't even like burgers.." I grumbled.

"Hush up. Trust me, you'll like this." He said. I looked at him skeptically,

"And what makes you think that?"

"Because I know you will. Plus, it'll come in handy for later." I shook my confusedly,

"What are you talking about?" I asked.

"Your bet with Lily," Arabella said. I looked at her, "she talked to me earlier and said that her and Casey are making you pay up tonight."

"On my first day here?" I asked. She nodded and giggled, "Ugh, what does this have to do with my food now?"

"Oh, you're a virgin.." Arabella said. "Put simply, certain food makes oral a lot better for the one giving it." She said.

"Wait, she's told you what she's going to do?" I asked, a blush forming on my face. She shook her head,

"No but you never know what will happen. It may be oral, it may be just some straight sex, you never know. If her and Casey, or whoever else is in it with them, want to give you some head, sweeter food make it better for them." She explained.

"Oh.." I said, a blush much bigger appearing. I heard Arabella and Gem both giggle before Mike cut in,

"I can tell you're a bit uncomfortable Karros so we can switch the subject if you'd like." He offered.

"I'd very much appreciate that." I said. He nodded,

"What would you like to talk about?"

"Can we tell me about Talor? Like who started it, what jobs there are?" I asked. He nodded again,

"Sure. Might as well while we wait for our food." He sat back in his chair and looked as if he was thinking. I took a moment while he was thinking to listen to the music again. It was a much calmer sounding song and sounded like some guy was actually speaking into a microphone and not some pre-recorded sound. In all honesty, I was thinking it was the DJ who speaking.

"Somehow.. Everything was different... Like a new person had emerged from me.

I could see myself in a perspective that I've never seen before..

No ambitions..

No worries..

For the first time I felt like I knew where I belonged and nothing could stop me from being there.

Nothing.. and yet everything... felt real.

The world was underneath me... around me, above me.

I could see everything and everything could see me.

I found..

Peace."

"Well, to begin, I guess I'll tell you how it all started. Approximately 10 years ago, somebody, who has yet to reveal his real name but goes by Lynx, started Talor. Nobody has confirmed yet how he was able to pull off such a massive project due to financial purposes but he did. Rumor has it that he hit the lottery and had a vision to build this place.

"Then there's other rumors that it was a group project between hundreds of people who all chipped in and named him the person who 'runs' Talor, in lack of better words. But nobody knows for sure. People say they'd rather not know because the mystery behind Talor, aside from the acceptance of Pokephilia, is what makes this place so popular."

"Has anybody met this Lynx person?" I asked.

"Yes," He said, "We actually work with him. He's the one who comes up with the operations against Anti-Pokephiles and helps with the scientific forwards here in Talor. You'll meet him when you start your job, which will be in two days, by the way." He said.

"So people have met him but don't know his real name?" I asked.

"Nobody. That's why most people believe he's the sole-founder of Talor." Mike said.

"That would make more sense, I suppose. But that brings me to my next question: what exactly is my job?" I asked.

"Your job here Karros is to be the one who over-watches operations as they happen. Is it true you have a keen eye of observation?" He asked.

"Yes, I've been told I do." I answered.

"Good. What will normally happen is that we will give you a debriefing of what this operation will be. When I say that, I mean that we will tell you if the job is to infiltrate someone's house to find evidence against them, to set somebody else up so they get busted, or things like those.

"After that, we'll give you layouts, blueprints, and any kind of information you'll need to make sure the operation is executed successfully. Since you're an overseer, you'll also have eyes and vision as the operation is going down." He informed me.

"What do you mean I'll have vision of it? Am I going in there? Because I'm not that sneaky and-" He waved his hands,

"No, not at all. Every operative you chose for this will have a tiny camera that's built onto their gear so you can see as it's going down. While most of our mapping and layouts of the places we look into are almost perfect, there's always a chance we do miss something. So you'll watch as it goes down to make sure everything goes according to plan."

"I see. You said something about me choosing the people who do this or whatever. How exactly am I supposed to do that if I don't know anybody?" I asked.

"That's where I come in," Arabella said, "You'll relay the type of person you need to me, as in a hacker, some one with a lot of muscle, or things like those." She informed me. I nodded, kind of understanding what I was to do.

"What is a typical job like?" I asked.

"What do you mean?" Mike said.

"Like, how long does a normal job take? What kind of job can I expect the most frequently?"

"We aim to make these as quick as possible. If something takes longer than half an hour to complete, we have to have the team sent out come back so we can review and change up the strategy and method of the job. As for the frequency of most jobs, that's always different." He explained.

"I guess that was kind of dumb of me to ask how long they take." I mumbled to myself.

"Nothing wrong with questions, Karros," Arabella said with a smile, "That just means you have more information on what you'll be doing, making it easier for you." I nodded and saw Jambo walking towards us with a giant platter that had all of our food on it.

He set our plates all in front of us, "Can I get you anything else?" He asked. We all shook our heads no, "Alrighty. Enjoy!" He said. I looked at the plate before me and on it sat a giant burger than smelled like pure heaven even if I don't like hamburgers. Aside the burger was a massive helping of fries.

I looked up from my buffet of a plate and saw everyone looking at me expectingly. It kind of make me feel weird, to be honest. "What are you looking at?" I asked.

"Try it!" Mike exclaimed. I looked at him funny but tried to ignore him. Instead, I picked up my burger and took a bite of it. Each of the tastes all intertwined with each other. I could taste the meat, the lettuce on it, the pineapple.. all of it. It all tasted pretty good.

"Well?" Windie asked. I shrugged,

"It's alright." I said plainly. They looked at me in disbelief,

"Alright? Your taste buds are off then because it's more than alright!" Mike exclaimed. I shrugged again,

"Maybe. I'm just not big into burgers I suppose." I chuckled. "But back to the previous topic, Arabella, you mentioned these people you'd recruit. Would I be meeting them? And are they Pokemon also or only human?"

"Can be either. Most hackers we have are human but we do have some small-time Pokemon hackers. Most of the muscle is Pokemon. If there's some kind of major grid or electronic thing that our hackers can't bypass, we'll send in a Porygon to hack it from the inside out since that's what they do. We also have Ghost types who can bypass almost any kind of force field, which yes people HAVE had around their houses or labs before, and disable it that way. Essentially any kind of person, or Pokemon you'd need for a job, will be available." She answered.

"What about other people? Am I doing this all on my own or are people working with me on these? Sounds like a lot of work." I said, a bit overwhelmed with the sudden realization of the work this job has on me.

"You'll be working with others. However, they have different roles. They're also overseers but not like you. They just have eyes in the background, you're the main eyes. Their jobs will be more explained when your first job starts." Mike explained.

"Speaking of which," I began, "am I able to get any details on my first job now?" I asked.

"Eh, normally no, but I don't think it'd hurt. Are you familiar with Mega-Evolution of a Pokemon?" He asked.

"Not really. I mean, I know the basics of it because of the news but nothing too big."

"Well, they say to have a pokemon's Mega-Evolution be used in battle, the trainer must use some kind of activation. The Pokemon itself must also be carrying a Mega-Stone to have the process of Mega-Evolution occur.

"When a Pokemon Mega-Evolves, it's only temporary. Once a battle that a Mega-Evolution is used is over, said Pokemon will de-evolve. Right now, we're not fully understanding how Mega-Evolution works. This is where you come into play.

"One of our trusted sources tell us that a lab ran by one of the head Anti-Pokephiles houses many of the Mega-Stones used in Mega-Evolution. Because of this, they're getting a better understanding of how it works and can use that against us. What you will be doing is coordinating an invasion of said lab and stealing the stones. If time permits, you'll also be set to destroy any information in this lab so it sets them back. There's much more to it but that's the basics of what I can tell until then." He informed me.

I sat back in my chair for a moment and thought. "So let me get this straight. You want me to co-ordinate an attack on a lab and steal information about Mega-Evolution? If time is on our side, I'll also be assigned to destroy any kind of evidence about their discoveries?" I asked. He nodded,

"In short terms, yes. Like I said, it'll be more explained when the time comes."

"Sounds simple enough." I said.

"Don't get cocky, Karros. These people are smart and don't leave their stuff unprotected. We may be doing this at night but there will be guards about as well as many defenses, traps, alarms, and things like those. Don't let your cockiness get ahold of you, we can't afford to lose any of the people we send in." Arabella said.

"Yeah, yeah, I know. We'll see when it comes to that time, I suppose." We continued talking for about 15 more minutes until everyone was done. Mike had explained as much as he could so there wasn't much to talk about besides random things. Another few minutes passed by after Mike had paid all of our meals, even though I practically begged him not to pay for mine but he did anyways, before someone caught my eyes.

I saw Lily walking up to our table then jumping into a chair next to me. "You guys busy?" She asked.

"Not really, why?" Mike asked, fully aware of what was going on. I sighed inwardly, ready for whatever she had.

"Big boy here has a bet to pay up. You joining us Arabella or Windie?" Lily asked. Thankfully, they both shook their heads no and Windie spoke up,

"He owes me alone time. Besides, I want me and his first time to be just us, nobody else." She said with a wink. I heard Mike chuckle,

"Such a ladies man, aren't you Karros?"

"Bite me." I said as I got up. Both him and Gem laughed at me. I sighed, "Following you Lily."
