A/N: Hello...how are you all doing? My name's Pai Chan. I love writing and Sia.

It seems like it's been five years since I've reached you guys, does it not?

Well, I'm sorry for not being there or updating at all. There have been a lot of issues in my family, and in order to give my full support, I had to sacrifice anything that would distract me from focusing on them.

I am deeply, truly sorry. *bows multiple of times*

On a lighter note:

Here it is! THE BEGINNING OF THE END!

...Ignore that. I always wanted to say that XD

Btw, do you guys like my new cover?;;)

As always, Thanks for the support!

Don't forget to R&R!:)

-Daemonum Terras-

"Well, well," Kai sneered, his red eyes dark and angry, "you dare show your useless self before me after failing?" He yelled, standing up. Enya felt herself shake, as his voice echoed in the throne room.

"My lord, I know I have failed this time...but I have four more chances..." She said, gulping. A thunderous laugh broke the silence that had prolonged after she had said that. The demon prince's body shook as the maniacal laughter left his lips.

"Four chances? Four chances?!" He threw a red, fiery ball of energy right next to her. Enya felt her blood run cold, "you wasted those chances when opportunities came up. You could have killed everyone else easily and could have brought her to me. And did you do that?" He asked rethorically, glaring murderously at her.

"L-lord K-kai..." She stuttered. He was absolutely right.

"I watched you, you know? I know what you and Cruentus had in mind!" Cruentus' eyes widened in fear, "you fell helplessly in love with a human? A human?! I should kill both him and you for that alone!"

"You can't!" She shouted.

"How dare you shout at me?!" Kai yelled back. Enya's eyes widened at her mistake. She lowered her head in shame and fear.

"I apologise, Master...but I..." She trailed off. Kai regained his composure. He sighed with exasperation and placed a hand on his face.

"Cruentus..." He called quietly, similar to a predator before attacking.

"Y-yes my lord?" The red-headed man replied quickly, straightening up.

"Get her out of my sight." He growled, closing his eyes in annoyance. Enya desperately pushed Cruentus back.

"My lord, please! I know I have not completed my mission properly, but I have discovered things that will help us get the Electus here." She said. Kai's eyes flew open. He stared at her sharply. Enya saw this as a chance to continue.

"I have tried to kill her, my lord, I confess this. But I could not because of The Huntress. She brought her back before she could truly die. That's when I discovered that the only way to have her, my lord is to get rid of her allies - one, by one. I already know who I can get rid of first, and from then, it will create a chain reaction. The Electus is powerless without her allies." She said. Kai scoffed.

"Because they are so important to her, do you not think that by killing all of them off, she would get angry and destroy all of us?" He asked, a hint of mockery in his tone.

"No, she would not, my lord." Enya replied.

"And how would you know that?"

"The Electus is emotionally unstable. One blow is enough to destroy her - and it is in that moment of despair that we must catch her. She will be too emotionally weak, and would keep repeating the deaths of her allies in her head." She continued. Kai narrowed his eyes at her.

"And?" He questioned. Enya smiled slightly.

"That is when you, my lord, will have the honour of taking her away."

"I am sorry to interrupt, my lord, but by watching closely, her allies have powers. It will be hard to defeat them one at the time." Cruentus cut in. Enya's smile turned into a grin.

"That's why I planned to not truly kill them. They will be useful in the future, that's why I will be in charge of faking their deaths all at once. Of course, their powers will only be given to you, my lord." She said, bowing. Kai sat staring at Enya, contemplating her plan. It truly was a brilliant plan, but the question to ask was - will it truly work?

"What if it does not work, then?" Kai asked after a pause. Enya's expression faltered for a second. But then, a devilish expression appeared.

"Then I have a backup plan. And I can tell you that it will work like a charm, my lord."

Saccra Terras

"Ah!"

"Try again!"

"Yah!"

"Again!"

"Hiyah!" Hitomi deftly pushed Andra's sword with her own. Andra stumbled slightly, then, gaining composure, smiled brightly at her.

"That was better! If you go on like this, you might even beat me. Say, how do you have such endurance? Gwen was close to collapsing the last time I trained with her." She said, raising her eyebrows at Gwenwyn, who stopped pulling the string of her brow and sent a playful glare to the Huntress. Hitomi laughed at their interaction, wiping the sweat off her brow.

"Well, to fight in Karate you need to learn about endurance. My father taught me it the hard way." She said, still smiling, but eyes contradicting the seemingly happy feeling. Thoughts about her mother and father crossed her mind; surely they knew about the plane crash in China. Were they persuaded that she had died? What about Heidi and Astrid? Were they mourning her?

"Hitomi?" Andra asked. Snapping out of her thoughts, Hitomi returned into her stance.

"It's nothing," she said, "can we practice more?"

"Sure," Andra replied slowly, giving her a strange look. The two went on fighting, Hitomi's thoughts clearing. It was a few moments after Kasumi's vision that Hitomi decided to sword practice. She insisted that she had some experience in swords - her father wanting to discipline her further into martial arts. Hayate opposed, claiming that it was too dangerous, even for her. However, Hitomi's stubborn protests had succeeded in Andra training her for the days to follow. It had been a week since that day, with the others also working on controlling the powers given to them. There had been no sign of any demons, which worried Greta. There was this dread that seemed be a feeling for all. However, Andra was convinced that after training all of them, they would take the portal between the Daemonum Terras and fight.

As she and Andra continued to spar, Hitomi felt an uneasiness creeping up her spine. Her eyes turned black and she turned around. There was nothing, apart from the twins' laughter as they chased Eliot around and of course, Gwen and Dante shooting arrows. There was also Ryu and Hayate meditating under a tree, as well as Leifang and Jann Lee arguing over a trivial matter.

"You okay, Hitomi?" Andra questioned, sheathing her sword.

"I have a strange feeling..." She said, frowning. Andra looked into her eyes as her own darkened.

"Demons...? But Saccra is a wasteland right now. Why would they be here and to what purpose could the demons be here for? How could the demons know we're here?" The Huntress muttered to herself. Suddenly, a scream was heard into the distance. There, in front of the twins and Eliot was what appeared to be a demon, with grey skin and beady eyes. Gwen paled as she stared at the demon - it was the same one that had attacke her in the cell she was in before she was saved by the angel.But...she killed him. He was dead... Gwen thought. Except at that current instant, he was taller and more menacing. Mikan and Miharu stared at the beast, quaking in fear. Eliot pushed them behind him as if to shield them. The demon noticed this action and guffawed. The sound of his evil laughter reverberated throughout the land.

"You puny human!" He held his stomach, as if it was hurting, "you think you can protect those two?" He licked his lips, his black teeth showing as he grinned cruelly, "they would make a fine bargain for your freedom, however I am not here for you." He looked towards where Hitomi and Andra stood, "I need her. I am sure that if I bring The Electus to Prince Kai, I will surely be rewarded greatly. Thanks to the mages of this world, I am more powerful than I was before!" He laughed, "And because of her," he pointed his grey finger to Hitomi, making her tremble, "I will surely be as powerful as Demonic royalty itself!" From his back, he unsheathed a humongous mace. Hitomi heard Andra curse behind her. In the blink of an eye, Hayate was in front of Hitomi, the Jinran-maru in hand and his brown eyes cold.

"I dare you to take a step further. I will cut you apart right this instant." Hayate glared at the demon, who only snickered in amusement. He stepped around Eliot and the twins, suddenly in fron of the three. Hitomi grabbed Hayate's shoulder.

"Hayate-" She started in panic, however, Hayate gave her a look.

"I won't allow him to touch you or take you away. Come! I shall fight you." He made a lunge for the beast, who retaliated a second later. Hayate stroke him with his sword, black blood gushed out of the wound he had created.

"Hayate, no!" Andra shouted, her hand reaching forward, "this kind of demon can't be killed by sword..." She was too late. The wound healed in an instant, and the demon only laughed. Hayate's eyes widened as the mace suddenly hit his entire body, sending it flying against a tree. Blood leaked out of his mouth as he winced in pain. Hitomi shouted his name, just as Ayane, Kasumi and Greta came running to the training grounds.

"Brother!" Kasumi yelled, staring as Hayate painfully tried to stand again. She tried to make a run to him, but was held back by Greta.

"No..." The old woman whispered in terror, "we can do nothing for him. I sense a gigantic amount of power from him. It is definitely a mage's and a wizard's power - we cannot beat that on our own." She said, "Hayate has caught his attention and now, he will not leave him alone until he is dead." She announced solemnly. Kasumi's and Hitomi's eyes widened in horror.

"I have to help him!" Hitomi tried to reach Hayate, only to be stopped by Andra.

"You can only transform when you are in danger, you idiot!" She yelled. Hitomi started to shake.

"No! I can help him! I will help him!" She snatched her shoulder out Andra's grip, running to where the beast and Hayate were. The demon was rapidly approaching Hayate, whom had still not recovered. Please, she thought, clasping her hands together in prayer, please, let me save him! Let me transform, let me transform. I want to save him, I want to save Hayate!

If so, then I will save him for you. A voice, so musical and enchanting said. Hitomi's eyes widened as she felt hands wrap themselves around her own. A gasp was heard behind her. Looking up, she saw the most beautiful face she had ever seen. A straight, pointed nose, slightly narrowed ocean blue eyes, a long blonde mane of hair flowing behind him - it was clear to see who it was.

An angel. He stared at Hitomi with a warm gaze, letting his hand cup her cheek. Hitomi couldn't seem to stop him as he leaned towards her face, her eyes shining a bright light as the Angel pressed his lips to her cheek. Her cheeks reddened as he repeated his action, his wings flapping once, and suddenly, they were both in the air.

"Hitomi?!" She heard Hayate's voice, but it sounded distant, as her very focus was on the Angel in front of her. Hayate felt an uneasy feeling inside his chest as he stared at the white winged being. His focus was no longer on the cruel demon, whom had also completely seemed to forget about him, staring at the angel with hatred in his eyes.

"You!" He called rudely, making the angel drop his hand from Hitomi's face. The angel sighed, seemingly troubled as tilted Hitomi's head up. He softly smiled at her, his features becoming even more beautiful. Hitomi blushed.

I am sorry for wasting time. You want to save this man, yet I am selfishly holding you in my arms." He said, a light shining in his hand, "do not worry. He will be saved. However, I fear that this creature's death will be a sorry sight." He shook his head sadly as a sword appeared in the hand that shone. It was similar looking to her own, but held no precious stone. Hitomi gently landed on the grass as the angel turned to the demon. The demon's nostrils flared in rage.

"How dare you take my prey away?!" He barked, "you angelic hypocrites - I'll pluck those feathers one by one and bring them to our Prince!" He grinned confidently as he swung his mace towards the blonde haired angel. The angel did not move, nor did he flinch. Instead, he dropped his sword as the mace arrived towards him. He blinked once, and the mace dropped to the floor, breaking into little pieces. The demon's eyes widened, as well as the rest of the group watching them. Ayane heard Greta mutter an 'incredible', just as the angel swung his fist in the air, lifting his pointer finger. In an instant, a circle of light appeared above him.

"Now," he stated coldly, "be gone." With that, the demon started to scream in agony. He held his head and gave the angel a pleading look, only to be answered with a blank stare. With that, the demon was gone, rather, exploded. Black liquid sprayed over the angel's white clothes and over Hitomi and her allies. Silence was all that was heard for a few seconds. The angel then turned to Hitomi, blood on his face. He stood in front of her, the cold and unforgiving look on his face replaced with a gentle and soft look.

"Are you alright, dearest Innocence?" The angel asked, seemingly concerened. Hitomi stood dumbstruck before him, speechless before his beauty. She couldn't help but let her eyes roam over the figure of him, regardless of his bloody state.

"Hitomi!" A voice yelled. Hitomi snapped out of her reverie to see a limping Hayate taking a protective stance in front of her. Blood dripped from his mouth and he held his stomach painfully, however, he glared at the angel, grabbing Hitomi's hand behind him.

"Who..." Hayate winced, "who are you? What to you want to do with Hitomi?"

The angel merely smiled, his eyes never leaving Hitomi. Andra, Ayane and Greta, followed by Gwen and Dante walked towards them. It wasn't long for the others to approach them too, all eyes cast on the beautiful being.

"It cannot be..." Greta spoke, her hands trembling. Suddenly, she bowed before the angel.

"Aunt Greta!" Gwen yelled, holding her arm, trying to lift her up, " what are you doing?!"

"What am I doing?!" Greta replied, staring at Gwen with wide eyes, "what do you mean 'what am I doing?' Do you not see who is before us? Do you not see who this is?" She frantically questioned. The angel giggled. The allies stared at Greta in confusion, all except for Eliot, whose eyes were wide as saucers.

"I can't believe it. You...you're actually..." Eliot trailed off as the angel gave him a kind look, letting out another amused giggle.

"Forgive me for laughing, but...it is entertaining to watch you all wallow in disbelief. Either ways, please Lady Greta. Although I know that you would love to tell them who I am, I would like to do so myself." The angel paused, his eyes locking on Hitomi's. Hitomi felt her heart beat faster, her eyes whitening, "I am honored, dearest Innocence, to finally meet you." He bowed. Hayate's hold on Hitomi's hand tightened as he continued to glare at the angel.

"I am sorry for this intrusion, but I sensed that our dearest Innocence was in need of help - and I wanted to help her." He said.

"Get to the point," Hayabusa interrupted, "who are you, and what need do you have with Hitomi?" He questioned, crossing his arms over his broad chest. The angel smiled again, not bothered at all. He bowed once more, placing his right hand on his chest.

"Pleased to meet you all. I am Michael, subordinate to my superior, Gabriel. I have come to these sacred lands to retrieve the Electus in order to fight alongside her against the Daemonum Terras," he said, "my only purpose is to serve her only."

A/N: Don't hate me for this! Please... 0.0

I am absolutely in love with the series Dominion and my favourite character is the Archangel Michael! Tom Wisdom is my favourite actor, and I loved the character of Michael, but I didn't want him to be stoic and mean and cold. I wanted him to be soft and sweet and kind...for now;)

So...I lied, the next chapter is the beginning of the end. I was going to make this the beginning of the end, but... I just couldn't. Also, sorry this is kind of short. I am feeling so sick right now, and school is a drag. Although not very valid, I hope you understand!:)

Also...

I am so sure some of you already have some ideas of how this story is going to end. Some might think, "aw, rainbows and puppies" , others "death and tragedy and graveyards and ghosts"

Nope.

Not even close;)

Hint: Did you know that there is something worse than death? Worse than torture? Do you know what it is? If so, then you know the end of the story. If not, do post suggestions in reviews!;)

Ah, it feels good to be back...I could be here talking forever.

Anyways, don't forget to R&R!:)
