Author's note:

Hey! So I'm back... I hope you guys like this, and yeah, I will go back to writing new stories soon, but ahhh...haven't gotten started in anything and yeah, life is not looking so pretty right now. I mean, is like I'm all stressed out and when it seems right, everything just goes dramatically wrong... so yeah, sorry for that excuse. But oh well.

Chapter 8

Tigress stomped away from the Palace, each step she took was filled with fury. She just couldn't believe her luck. How could she failed! She performed everything correctly and for what?! One-Two simple mistakes she did! Mistakes she had never done before. And she failed. She hit her own palm, and muffled a scream. She was mad at life. At HER life. Has she ever done anything wrong? NO! She has always been a good person, or as much she could.

She kicked a rock that was in the pavement.

"Tigress!" She grunted. She loved him, but right now she wanted to be alone. She didn't wanted to see him, mostly because she was afraid that with this luck, something was gonna go wrong between them. They hadn't actually talked about the kiss, he just smiled at her, and so did she, there were smiles only they could understand.

"Tigress!" He yelled again, panting. Tigress rolled her eyes.

"WHAT!?" She yelled, turning around, making the panda fall because of the quick unexpected motion. Po just looked at her with his soft jade eyes.

"Are you ok?" He stuttered, helping himself up. Tigress paced back and forth.

"Of course I am! Everything is just peachy! Isn't today such a sunny day!" She answered sarcastically; it took everything in him to not laugh at her response, and even so, he failed. But Tigress broke a small sad smile.

She sighed and sat at the steps. Po took his place beside her and wrapped one arm around her shoulder. Tigress leaned closer to him and rested her head on his chest. It was so quiet that they could hear each other's heart beat.

Po was about to open his mouth when Tigress stopped him.

"Don't tell me its ok. Because is not. And don't tell me its going to get better, because it won't. I've been played too many times, you'd think I would get used to this by now" She spoke. Po could just tighten his grip on her.

"I'm a failure" She whispered, Po widen his eyes. He couldn't believe she just called herself that. She was the opposite of that. With his free hand, he tilted her chin up so that her face was right in front of his.

"NO you are not. Not to me" He then pressed his lips against hers. Tigress gave in to the kiss and purred happily. Po rested on of his hands on her cheek. When they finally let go, Tigress had a smile on her face.

"You are not a failure, you have come this far, when you could have just given up a hundred times. But you didn't. You kept going. And that, for me, is a success already" Tigress stared into his eyes, and saw that he deeply meant those words. She let a tear rolled out, but she quickly wiped it away and tackled him into a hug.

"Thanks" She said into his ear. Po smiled and nodded. Tigress let go of him.

"Wanna go play checkers?" Po asked her with a smile. Tigress chuckled and accepted the invitation. Only Po knew that she loved to play that game, that she still liked to play those childish games. They both started walking to the training hall,

"Hold on, I have this new checker board at my dad's. I'll be right back!" Po ran off. Tigress nodded and continued walking to his room. She was calm now, or at least she didn't feel like screaming.

Po started walking downstairs when he heard some voices by the rocks by the stairs. He stopped and listened.

"Guys, it worked. She got rejected! I bet she is crying right now!" The voices were soon followed by laughter. Po could recognize that voice anywhere, mostly because he hated it. He tiptoed to where they where talking. Xiang and the others were there.

"Good job Liang, you manged to find the exact spots where she was going to land. And Li, you found that oil thing, excellent" Po widen his eyes. That's why it didn't make sense that Tigress slipped! Now he needed evidence... too bad he couldn't just capture the image. He saw the list of things to get and the plan on the floor, laying next to Xiang. He covered himself in leaves and pretended to be a bush.

He got his stealth mode on, and started to cautiously march into the area where the scrolls where. Xiang did not noticed since he was too busy celebrating. Po snatched the scroll away and then tiptoed back, then he jogged to the Hall of Warriors to show Shifu.

With Shifu and the four...

"Very well, I will go find Master Chao, who should be around-"

"Here" They all turned around to find Master Chao there.

"What are you doing here Master Chao?" Viper asked, trying to keep a respectful tone.

"I was going to ask Shifu when he was planning to hold the new auditions" He answered incredulously. Viper and the rest just frowned.

"HIYA-!" They all turned around bewildered, to see where the sound came from. Mantis hopped and opened the door. At the distance, you could see Tigress practicing her kicks and strikes.

Tigress was actually on the way to Po's room, but on the way there she just had to stop and just practice kung fu. Just to assure herself that simple mistakes did not took anything away from her.

"IS that...Tigress?" Master Chao asked, trying to get a better view. The five smiled to each other.

Po was running with the scroll in his hands. But it only took a couple of seconds for Xiang to realize that it was missing. He stridently looked around, only to see a trail of leaves and a black and white blur running towards the Palace.

"Guys, get him!" He yelled, as he got on his fours and started chasing him. Po heard his voice and screamed, then he continued to run as fast as he could.

"TIGRESS! SHIFU! GUYS!" He yelled.

Tigress was still in the courtyard, the door was locked. Which was fine by her, of course she would have to keep an ear for when Po came back. She send another strike towards the air. She then did a flip, and this time, she felt more confident, she knew she wouldn't repeat her mistake. She believed Po. She was not a failure. She landed correctly.

Master Chao was still watching the feline obliviously train. He started walking towards her, making sure he didn't disrupted her.

Po saw that they were almost catching up to him. He should really improve in his speed. He got to the entrance, as just as he was going to open the door, it didn't budge.

'Oh oh" He thought. He started to pull it hysterically. But Xiang was already there, sure he was tired, but he was there.

"What do you think you are doing, fatty?" Xiang said smugly as his gang round up the panda. Po looked kind of scared, but he held the scrolls as tight as he could. Then with his other hand, he gently knocked on the door again.

"Tigress?"

"Tigress" Tigress stopped her routine and bowed solemnly seeing who was calling her.

"I was watching you perform, and I must admit, You have impressed me by your skills, so I must-"

"Shh!" Tigress interrupted, making him go quiet. She perked up her ears. The rest were kind of shocked that Tigress would dare to do something like that to a great Master. Even Shifu was skeptical to her reaction.

"Excuse I believe you have no right to-"

"Shh!" She said again.

" Are you calling that monster to save you?"Xiang said mockingly.

"Stop calling her that! She has more power in her that all of you combined together!" Po yelled, keeping an eye for the scroll, and praying that someone would open the door.

"That's why we had to sabotage her. And you know what's the best part, they'll never know. She think she is a failure and-" Po fell since the door opened,

"You are wrong" Tigress helped Po get up.

"Tigress, I heard you didn't get in, maybe it was"

"I'm not dumb Xiang. I know you sabotaged me. And for what? To see me fail. Now here I am. Any happier?" She asked him, her voice was forthright. She was teasing him, or being mean about it, she was just stating what she thought.

Xiang didn't know how to answer. He expected her to just get pissed off.

"I thought so." Po managed to get behind her, it almost seemed as if he was seeking protection from her. Master Chao and the rest where rushing to where Tigress was.

"Master Shifu! They sabotaged her!" He handed him the scroll. The rest of the masters started to show up beside the feline.

"Your name is Xiang, correct?" Shifu said, stepping in front of everyone, quickly reading the scroll in his hands. Xiang and the rest nodded fearfully.

"Very well, since you were the ones who sabotage her, you will have consequences"

"Wait! Sabotage is not a crime, therefore you can't arrest us!" One of the goats beside Xiang yelled. The rest of the group smiled.

"Oh, I was just going to put you to clean the palace. But since you clearly don't want to face that then...well, you have trespassed the property of the Masters of the Jade Palace, and that is, in fact, a violation" Shifu said. The rest of the guys widen his eyes and hit the the goat.

"So you'll be escorted by Master Monkey to the Council of Masters...they'll decided what your punishment shall be" He stopped and looked at the rest, "Hopefully you'll catch them in a nice mood" Monkey snickered and started leading the guys away.

After they went off, Master Chao turned to Tigress.

"Now where was I?"

5 months later...

"Now, please welcome, the new Leader of the Furious Five!" Everyone in the village started clapping. Tigress walked up,

"Master Tigress!" Shifu announced. Tigress bowed and gave the audience a small smile. She was soon followed by the rest. Who were also cheering for her friend.

After the ceremony was done, the five planned a party for her. So they all headed to Mr. Ping's noddle shop. Mr. Ping congratulated Tigress, who gave him a quick hug and thanked him for his support.

"You are welcome my dear" Tigress smiled and started walking to the Peach tree. When she got there, she had the whole view of the valley. It was so beautiful. The sun was sprinkling the last of its rays into the people below.

"Hey" She smiled,

"Hey Po" The panda sat beside her.

"Why are you not at the party?" He asked her. Tigress shrugged.

"Because then you wouldn't come looking after me" She answered, with a smirk, Po wrapped one of his arms around her,

"And why would you want me to?" She put her face close to his, her whiskers caressing his cheeks.

"So I could do this" She pressed her lips against his. Po smiled and rested one of his hands on her cheek.

"I love you Po" She whispered.

"I love you too, Master Tigress" Tigress chuckled at the use of her new tittle. She kissed him once again. She might not have a great beginning, but at least she was able to write her ending.
