AN: Hello! This chapter is kinda one of those which are a bit of lame, and a bit of good. Nobody left the review on my last chapter! No fair! :(

Chapter 74

„Where's Gibbs? " Kate asked worriedly, searching with her eyes for her boss. Tony shrugged.

„No idea"He replied. Kate sighed and sat back again.

'Whoosh!'

Ziva and McGee walked out of the elevator.

"Morning" McGee greeted. Ziva simply nodded. She sat by her table.

"What's up, Zee?" Tony questioned cheerily. Ziva rolled her eyes.

"Gerald and I are fighting" She said angrily. Kate glanced at Tony.

"Why would you?" Kate asked. Ziva crossed her arms.

"Oh, I really don't know" Ziva stated sarcastically. "Maybe, it's because I'm carrying someone else's baby!"

Kate was taken aback. She shook her head.

"Okay, no need to be angry" Kate muttered as she looked back at Tony's computer.

"Sorry. I'm just really upset" Ziva said. McGee raised his head.

"Hey, where's-"He started, but got interrupted by Ziva, Kate and Tony.

"We don't know!" They said in unison.

"Did you try his phone?" Ziva asked, whilst McGee bowed his head. Tony and Kate shook their heads.

"Nope" Tony said.

"Thank God. I hope he won't find out about the baby thing" Ziva continued. Kate shrugged.

"You will have to tell him eventually" Kate replied. Ziva nodded.

"Yeah" She mumbled.

'Whoosh!'

Gibbs entered the bullpen furiously.

"Morning, boss" Tony greeted, looking at Gibbs confusedly. Gibbs passed by in a hurry, not even bothering to notice the rest of the team.

"Everything alright?" Kate asked. He shot her a long death glare.

"I'll take that as a no" Kate whispered. Gibbs sat in his chair. He put his coffee on the table, with a loud bang. Tony glanced at Kate and McGee, whose faces were puzzled.

"Um, where's the director, boss?" Tony questioned. Gibbs exhaled heatedly.

"I don't know and I don't give a damn!" He yelled and ran out of the bullpen. The team looked at each other.

"So, Gibbs has some problems with the director" Kate said. Tony cocked his head.

"Yeah, probably" He nodded. Kate sighed and got back to work.

'Whoosh!'

Jenny walked out of the elevator, looking very upset.

"Good morning, director" Kate acknowledged. Jenny looked at her quickly.

"Where's Jethro?" She inquired sharply. Kate looked at the elevator.

"Um, he just walked out. Why?" Kate asked. Jenny shook her head and quickly went in the same direction Gibbs walked away a few minutes ago.

"Told you" Tony turned to Kate. She smirked.

"What are we gonna do?" McGee asked.

"Make a plan" Ziva suggested. Tony nodded, grinning.

"Good thinking, Ziva!" Tony yelled. Kate shook her head.

"Great idea. Now, how do you think we're gonna get two people together again?" Kate questioned. Tony shrugged.

"Ask Abby. She's the Love Cupid" Tony explained. McGee, Kate and Ziva looked at him confusedly.

"What?" Kate asked.

"Um…she gives the love advices to everyone, right?" He inquired. They all silently mumbled 'Yeah'.

"Good. Kate, you'll go ask her" Tony ordered. Kate rolled her eyes.

"Tony, Gibbs and Jenny are adults. I'm sure they can work this out together" Kate said. Tony frowned.

"Fine. But, I'm warning you; if something goes wrong, it's you to blame" Tony replied. Kate sighed.

Meanwhile, at the MTAC…

Gibbs was sitting at one of the seats in MTAC; One of his favorite places to sit alone and think.

"Jethro!" Jenny yelled. Gibbs turned around.

"What do you want?" He muttered his question grumpily. She bit her lip.

"I just want to talk" She approached him. He cocked his head.

"Yeah, that's what they all say" He grunted under his breath. Jenny sat by him.

"I didn't even reject you!" She hissed.

"Well, you were about to" He argued. She sighed.

"Oh, so, you didn't leave any choice but to marry you instantly" She replied.

"You wanted to leave me!" He disputed. She groaned.

"No. Even if I did. Why would you just walk away?" She questioned.

"Because I'm used to this! So many women rejected me, why would you accept?" He retorted.

"Maybe, because I'm not like them!" She said angrily. He pinched his nose bridge.

"You already left me a 'Dear John' before, Jen. How do I know you won't do that again?" He said through a gentle whisper.

Chills went down Jenny's spine.

"You just know" She whispered. She got up and walked away. Gibbs sighed. He buried his head in his hands.

…

Tony finished another party of Tetris when Gibbs walked in again. Now, he looked more sad than angry. Tony glanced at Kate.

"Um, boss?" Tony questioned. Gibbs turned around.

"Yes, DiNozzo?" He responded in a tired voice. Tony had a look of pity on his face.

"You sure everything's okay?" Tony asked sincerely. Gibbs shook his head.

"Everything's fine, Tony" He replied. He started typing something on his keyboard. Tony sighed and got back to his computer.

"Finish your reports and find more information about the case" Gibbs ordered. He got up and walked into the elevator. Kate banged her head on the desk.

"Great. We'll stay here until midnight" Kate grumbled silently.

"I'll just check out when the NCIS Christmas party will start" Tony whispered cheerfully. He went on Google and entered his G-Mail. He opened an e-mail, which contained an invite to the party.

"How come I don't get that kind of e-mails?" Kate asked. Tony grinned.

"Because you don't follow the news in NCIS, Kate" Tony cheekily said. She smirked.

"DiNozzo, if you don't get back to your work, I swear, only e-mails you'll be getting will be invites to your funeral" Gibbs threatened as he walked in again. Tony quickly closed the internet and got back to his research.

"Sorry, boss" Tony murmured. Kate did the research on his computer. Gibbs sent an IM to Jenny, saying 'Please, forgive me'

Five minutes later, there was still no response. He decided to turn off the computer.

"Boss!" Tony yelled as he got up. "Found something!"

"Me too!" Ziva got up. McGee got up too.

"I need to go to the bathroom!" He exclaimed. They all looked at him confusedly. He smiled sheepishly and ran out of the bullpen. Ziva, Kate and Tony turned back to Gibbs.

"We've got the list of invited people" Kate said.

"Yeah" Tony added. Kate gave Gibbs two papers.

"And I've got the survivors" Ziva acknowledged as she approached Gibbs. Gibbs nodded, while looking at the papers Kate gave him. He raised his head.

"Good. Ziva, contact the survivors and ask the police for their current states. Kate, Tony, find out if there were suspicious people, and if anyone dropped in uninvited" Gibbs ordered. They all nodded and got back to their desks.

McGee walked in again.

"What did I miss?" He asked while panting. Gibbs pointed to Ziva.

"Go help out Ziva" He demanded. McGee nodded and sat by Ziva.

Gibbs watched them all.

"Good job, everyone" He whispered. He walked into the elevator. Ziva got up and went into the elevator.

"Where do you think you're going?" Gibbs asked. She shrugged.

"To question the survivors" She replied. He nodded.

"Go ahead" He said. She pressed the 'down' button.

About two hours later, at the NCIS building…

"I'm so done with this" Kate got up. Tony watched her.

"What do you mean?" He questioned, with his head resting in his hands.

"Gibbs wants us to do the Mission Impossible!" Kate whined. Tony laughed.

"That's a good movie" Tony muttered, smiling. Kate put her coat on.

'Whoosh!'

"Where do you think you're going?" A grumpy male voice asked. Kate sighed.

Gibbs walked in.

"Gibbs, we've been working our butts off! It's Christmas tomorrow! You have to let me go home" Kate pleaded. Gibbs cocked his head.

After a small pause, he nodded slowly.

"You can go" He said. Kate felt relief.

"Thank Goodness" She took her purse and her gear. Tony got up and put his jacket on. Kate smiled at him before she walked to the elevator. Tony followed her.

"Whoa. Where are you two going?" Gibbs asked. Tony and Kate turned around.

"Uh, to the mall, Gibbs" Kate explained. Tony looked at Kate in horror.

"We are?" Tony whispered. Kate nudged him lightly.

"Right" Gibbs said. "And, since when is Tony your girl friend, Kate?"

Kate chuckled, while Tony looked offended.

"Hey! That's not nice" Tony defended himself. Gibbs smiled.

"Just go now" Gibbs ordered. They both nodded and walked into the elevator.

Gibbs turned around and sat back in his chair. McGee approached Ziva.

"Hey, how's it going with the preg-"McGee started.

"Quiet, McGee!" Ziva warned angrily. He slapped his forehead.

"Sorry, I forgot" He whispered. Gibbs noticed them. He got up and approached them.

"Everything okay?" Gibbs asked. McGee and Ziva quickly nodded.

"Yeah, sure" Ziva rapidly replied. Gibbs cocked his head.

"McGee?" Gibbs turned to the younger agent. McGee had a guilty look on his face.

"Want to share, McGee?" Gibbs questioned coldly. McGee gulped, glancing constantly at Ziva. He closed his eyes.

"Ziva's pregnant" He confessed quickly. Gibbs' pupils dilated.

"McGee!" Ziva cried angrily.

"Sorry!" He apologized quickly. Gibbs turned to Ziva.

"What the hell did DiNozzo do?" Gibbs asked sharply.

"No, Tony has nothing to do with this" She explained.

"You've been here for two months, he gets involved in everything with everyone" Gibbs continued. She shook her head.

"No, it's not him. It's someone from the past" She convinced. Gibbs sighed.

"When did you find out?" Gibbs asked quietly. She shrugged.

"Two days ago" She replied. He shook his head.

"You'll be on maternity leave" Gibbs ordered as he turned his back to her. He sat back in his chair.

"What? You can't do that!" She complained. He groaned.

"Fine. Desk duty for five days, but then, you'll be on maternity leave" Gibbs said. She nodded.

Meanwhile, Tony and Kate…

"Let's set up the tree" Kate suggested. Tony and Kate just entered Kate's house.

"Okay. Where is it?" He asked.

"It's in the closet upstairs" Kate pointed to the ceiling. Tony nodded and climbed the stairs. Kate took of her coat.

"Did you get it?" Kate questioned as she heard weird sounds.

"Sort of" Tony said. Kate looked at the stairs where Tony was, holding a big box. Kate smiled.

"There, you got it!" She almost teased. He put the box on the floor.

"Okay, what now?" He inquired. She shrugged.

"We're gonna take it out, and then, we're gonna put some decorations on it!" Kate explained. Tony sighed.

"That's lots of work" He whispered. She nodded.

"Yup" She agreed.

Two hours later...

"Finally" Tony panted. Kate and Tony were looking at a fully decorated little Christmas tree.

"Perfect" Kate said. He nodded. She turned to him.

"Well, I guess that's it" Kate said. Tony shrugged.

"Yup" He agreed. Kate sighed.

"Well, see you" she said. He nodded.

"Bye" He put on his jacket. He waved and walked out of the house. Kate sat on her couch. She heard a whistling sound.

She looked at her phone. She got a message from Gibbs. She opened it.

'I have to ask you guys for a favor'
