AN: I am so sorry for not posting for a month! But, there was so much school, and I actually had writer's block. First, the chapter was horribly written, but I fixed it. I probably lost lots of your interest for not posting so long. I apoplogize. Winter break will be there in two days, so I'll try my best to post all the time! I was also making fan videos all the time, so I was also busy. I hope I'll never leave the fanfic alone for so long. Enjpy the chapter, there's some Jibbs, some McAbby, and some Tate! :)
Chapter 75
Kate woke up to the sound of her phone ringing. She groaned angrily.
"Yes?" Kate answered grumpily.
'My basement. Now'
Kate was utterly confused by Gibbs' demand.
"Okay...Why?" She asked warily. She heard a sigh.
'Just be there'
She shrugged.
"I'm coming as soon as possible"Kate acknowledged. She hung up.
"That was odd" She whispered.
Kate dressed up and walked straight out of her house, without eating her breakfast.
She drove off to Gibbs' house, her mind full of questions.
15 minutes later…
Kate closed the door of her car.
She knocked on Gibbs' door. The door opened themselves slowly.
She looked confusedly at the door.
"Anybody in here?" She questioned through a yell.
A thud was heard.
Alarmed, Kate reached for her gun, which she always wore, just in case.
She took the gun and raised it.
Thud again.
She headed to the basement quickly.
"Hello?" She yelled. No answer.
Breaking of glass.
Kate quickly ran down into the basement, pointing the gun into the air.
She saw a figure moving through the dark of the basement.
"Are you armed?" Kate asked.
Silence.
Kate sighed. She decided to turn on the light.
As the light flickered, she drew the gun at the figure.
The figure was holding a gun too.
After realizing who is who, they both put their guns away. Kate sighed.
"Tony, what the hell?" Kate questioned sharply.
"Hey, don't blame me. Gibbs is the one who wanted me to be here" Tony raised his hands. Kate shook her head.
"Is he here?" Kate asked. He shrugged.
"I don't know. I've been sitting alone here for about half an hour" He explained. Kate nodded. She looked at the floor.
A glass was in pieces, lying on the floor.
"What did you do, Tony?" Kate inquired warningly. Tony took a step back.
"I accidentally broke Gibbs' glass" Tony said in a high pitched voice. Kate rolled her eyes.
"There you are" A voice said. Kate and Tony carefully looked at the stairs. Gibbs walked down the stairs slowly.
"Gibbs, please, don't tell me this was your idea of a favor I need to do for you" Kate said. He smirked lightly.
He stood there, silent.
"It is, isn't it?" Kate sighed in frustration.
"Yup" He replied. Tony shook his head.
"What do you want us to do? It's six in the morning. Robbing banks is not really ideal" Tony added sarcastically. Gibbs turned to him.
"All Gibbs wants is a Christmas present" A childish female voice said. Kate and Tony glanced at each other.
"Abby? You're in this too?" Kate asked. Abby grinned devilishly.
"Don't forget McGee, Abs" Gibbs reminded. She nodded quickly.
"Oh, yeah. If you fall, we fall with you, my silver haired fox" Abby said. He smiled.
Kate and Tony gaped at them.
"Mind telling us what all of this is about?" Tony hissed. Gibbs cocked his head.
"Oh, right" He mocked. "Well, do you all know that song by Mariah Carrey?"
Kate glanced at Tony.
"You mean, 'All I Want For Christmas Is You?'" Kate questioned. He nodded.
"Yeah. Now, you see, director and I have some problems. And, I need you guys to come with me to her house and sing the song with me" He explained. While Tony was speechless, Kate's face softened.
"Oh My God, Gibbs! That's so sweet!" She yelled. He smiled.
"Thanks. It was actually Abby's idea" He pointed to Abby, who blushed. She hit him in the arm playfully.
"Oh, Gibbs. You and your humbleness…" She said proudly. Gibbs laughed.
"So, you with me? 'Cause, I don't take no for an answer" He inquired. Tony and Kate smiled.
"Sure" Tony replied.
"Why not?" Kate agreed. Gibbs smiled.
"Let's roll" He said.
They all climbed the stairs and got out of his house. McGee was waiting outside. Gibbs locked the door, while Kate, Tony, Abby and McGee sat in Kate's car. Gibbs came up to the car and sat in.
"Who's driving?" Tony asked. Gibbs snatched the keys out of Kate's hand.
"Me" He replied. Kate speechlessly looked at him as he started the engine.
They have driven to Jenny's house.
Kate, Abby, Gibbs, Tony and McGee got out of the car. It was snowing outside.
"Gibbs, you're not going to let us freeze our butts while signing?" Kate pleaded. Gibbs shot her a long glare.
"Oh, come on!" She whined. Tony approached.
"Calm down. It's Christmas" He said. She sighed.
They all stood under Jenny's terrace.
Kate, Tony, McGee and Abby stood in the back, while Gibbs stood in front of them. They all had their lyrics with them. Gibbs cleared his throat.
"HEEEY!" He yelled from the bottom of his lungs.
Soon, Jenny appeared on the terrace, rubbing her eyes.
When she spotted Gibbs she groaned.
"Jethro!" She hissed. Gibbs smiled.
"Wait, Jens! I've got something to tell you!" He yelled back. She sighed. The whole team cleared their throats.
"Hit it, Tony!" Gibbs ordered. Tony nodded and hit the play button on a radio.
Melody of 'All I Want for Christmas is you' started playing as they all sang.
"I don't want a lot for Christmas" Kate started.
"There is just one thing I need" Abby added.
"I don't care about the presents" Tony sang.
"Underneath the Christmas tree" McGee finished.
Jenny chuckled.
"I just want you for my own" Kate sang.
"More than you could ever know" McGee continued.
"Make my wish come true" Abby voiced.
"All I want for Christmas is you" Gibbs sang, shockingly well.
"Yeah" Tony finished.
'I don't want a lot for Christmas' they all sang.
'There is just one thing I need
And I don't care about the presents underneath the Christmas tree'
'I don't need to hang my stocking
There upon the fireplace'
'Santa Claus won't make me happy with a toy on Christmas day'
'I just want you on my own, more than you could ever know. Make my wish come true. All I want for Christmas is you, baby'
'Oh, I won't ask for much this Christmas, I won't even wish for snow. And I'm just gonna keep on waiting, underneath the mistletoe'
'I won't make a list and send it to the North Pole for Saint Nick'
'I won't even stay awake to hear those magic reindeer click'
'Cause I just want you here tonight'
'Holing on me so tight'
'What more can I do?'
'Baby, all I want for Christmas is you. You, baby'
'Oh all the lights are shining'
'So brightly everywhere'
'And the sound of children's laughter fills the air'
'And everyone is singing'
'I hear those sleigh bells ringing'
'Santa, won't you bring me the one I need?'
'Won't you please bring my baby to me?'
'Oh, I don't want a lot for Christmas,
This is all I'm asking for'
'I just want to see my baby'
'Standing right outside my door'
'Oh, I just want you for my own'
'More than you could ever know'
'Make my wish come true'
'Baby, all I want for Christmas is you. You, baby'
"All I want for Christmas is you, baby" Kate sang.
"All I want for Christmas is you, baby" Tony repeated.
"All I want for Christmas is you, baby" Abby sang.
"All I want for Christmas is you, baby" McGee continued. Unexpectedly, Gibbs took the spotlight.
"Baby, you!" He held a high note, shocking Jenny and the team. As he stopped, the team smiled at Jenny's direction nervously.
"Jens, I'm sorry. Can you marry me, again?" Gibbs asked as he pulled out a little black box.
A smile graced Jenny's lips, while tears piled up in her eyes.
"Yes! Jethro, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!" She ran through her house repeating yes. She ran out of the house in her pajamas. She hopped on Gibbs, hugging him tightly.
"Yes" She whispered. He smiled.
"Good" He slipped the ring on her finger. She looked at him happily.
"This is so going on Tumblr" Abby said as she captured a picture of Jenny and Gibbs. Kate and Tony glanced at each other quickly.
The whole neighborhood gathered around Jenny's house. They all started clapping and cheering. Jenny and Gibbs laughed. Gibbs quickly pulled her into a kiss.
While everyone went happy, Tony made a face of disgust. Kate noticed. She rolled her eyes.
"Tony, stop. They're not that old" Kate nudged him. He nodded.
"I know" He whispered. Kate sighed.
"Staying at my place?" Jenny suggested to Gibbs. He smiled.
"What about work?" Gibbs questioned. Jenny smirked.
It's Christmas today, Jethro. No work today" She said. He grinned.
"Great" He replied happily. They entered her house.
Tony heard them talking. He started bouncing around.
"Did you hear that, Kate? We've got a day off!" Tony cheered. Kate laughed.
"I know, Tony" Kate replied. Abby approached them.
"I don't know about you guys, but Tim and I are going shopping for the whole day!" Abby squealed. McGee sighed.
"I'll be probably shopping too, Abs" Kate said. Tony nodded.
"Yeah, me too" Tony agreed. Abby devilishly grinned.
"Like, together?" She questioned evilly. Kate and Tony looked at each other.
"No!" They yelled in unison. Abby snickered.
"See you later" She grinned as she walked away. McGee looked at them with a puppy look.
"Please, she's gonna drain the life out of me!" He hissed. Tony and Kate exchanged devilish smiles.
"Come on, McPuff!" Abby yelled from a distance. McGee sighed hopelessly.
"Coming, Abs" He muttered.
"See ya' later, Probie!" Tony grinned. McGee shot him an angry glare. He turned around and walked away.
Kate shook her head. Tony looked at her.
After a minute of silence, Tony spoke.
"Hey, you busy today?" Tony questioned, hoping Kate would reply with a 'no'. Kate looked at him suspiciously.
"No, not really. Why?" She replied. He shrugged.
"Well, I was hoping you would accept this" Tony took out two tickets for a 'Yankees vs. Red Sox' match. Kate groaned unhappily.
"Tony, why don't you just bring one of your fraternity brothers?" Kate whined. Tony slightly frowned at the thought.
"Because I lost contact with all of them!" Tony crossed his arms childishly. Kate cocked her head, raising her eyebrows slowly.
"Really?" She inquired slowly. Tony nodded quickly.
"Yeah. Really" He applied to the 'really' part sharply. Kate sighed.
"Fine. I'll go with you" She threw her hands in the air helplessly. Tony's lips quickly curved into a satisfied smile.
"I knew you couldn't let me down, Katie" Tony said happily. Kate smirked.
"Only if you promise you will not tell anybody" Kate threatened with her finger pointing to Tony. He slowly nodded.
"Okay…" Tony looked at her warily. She stepped closer.
"Okay, okay! I promise!" He raised his voice. Kate stepped back satisfyingly. Tony let out a small 'phew'.
"So, when does the game start?" Kate asked as they both walked to her car. Tony checked his watch.
"In about an hour" Tony replied, after casually putting his hands in his pockets again. Kate eyed him.
"Tony! That means we should go now!" Kate yelled. Tony put his hand on her shoulder.
"Relax, Kate. We're gonna get there just in time" He soothed. Kate fought the urge to roll her eyes. She removed his hand and continued walking to her car.
"Let's hit the road!" He said enthusiastically as Kate reached for her car keys. She smiled as she opened the car.
Kate started the engine. They drove off, getting slowly far away from Jenny's house.
15 minutes later…
Kate parked the car. They both got out.
"See, Kate? We even got here earlier!" Tony cheerily pointed out. Kate moaned.
"Yeah, Tony. Just wait 'till we get to the line" Kate muttered, still loud enough for Tony to hear, though.
"What line-?" He turned around, only to see a huge line of people waiting. He slouched.
"Oh." He said. Kate laughed. She passed by him.
"Oh, and, by the way. If you need to go to the bathroom, there's another line" Kate turned to him as she pointed backwards, where yet another huge line of people was. Tony frowned in Kate's way. She smiled evilly.
Tony sighed as he stood in the line. Kate stood next to him.
20 minutes later…
"How long are we gonna wait?!" Tony yelled angrily. Kate held in her laughter. Tony turned his head in her direction.
"What's so funny?" He asked. Kate chuckled.
"Calm down, Tony. We'll get there soon" Kate assured him. He turned his head back to the line.
Yet another 20 minutes later…
"Ugh! Finally!" Tony yelled happily. They were finally next.
The person in front of them finally left. Tony quickly took a step closer to the clerk.
"Yes?" The clerk said in a monotone, lifeless voice. Tony took out his tickets frantically.
"Yankees vs. Red Sox" Tony replied. The clerk rolled his eyes.
"Yeah, I kinda figured that part out" He sarcastically voiced. Tony smirked.
"Fine. I'll have an XL sized popcorn bag and a Cola" Tony ordered. The clerk typed into the computer. He turned around and grabbed the Cola. Tony took it in his hands. The clerk filled a large paper bag with tons of popcorn and gave it to Tony.
"Thanks" Tony said. He turned to Kate.
"Anything for you, Kate?" Tony asked. Kate smiled.
"I'll have the same as him, just much smaller" Kate explained. The clerk just stood there and watched her.
"Is everything okay?" Kate was becoming nervous.
"You two are actually together?" He asked with visible disgust on his face.
"No! Not at all!" Tony said. Kate smiled awkwardly.
"Um, we're just friends" Kate agreed. The clerk shook his head.
"Well, I still feel sorry for you" He said to Kate. Kate looked at him questioningly.
"Why is that?" She asked.
"Because you actually are friends with this idiot" He replied as he stuffed the popcorn in the bag. Kate laughed, while Tony glared angrily at the guy.
Kate took the Cola and the popcorn.
"That will be thirty dollars and fifteen cents" The clerk said. Tony's pupils dilated.
"Thirty bucks?" He raised his voice. The clerk nodded.
"Just pay the man, Tony" Kate sighed as she passed Tony by. Tony took out his wallet and handed him the money. The clerk smiled devilishly. Tony glared.
"No tips?" He asked. Tony smirked.
"Bite me" He replied as he walked away.
Kate and Tony entered the arena. They took their seats. Tony began eating his popcorn massively. The match started. Kate sighed.
"Tony?" Kate asked through a whisper.
"Yeah?" He whispered back.
"This isn't a date, right?" Kate questioned.
Pause.
"No…" Tony replied. Kate nodded. 'Wish it was' they both thought. The game started. Kate leaned on her elbow.
As the time passed, Tony cheered more and louder. His bag was getting emptier. Kate didn't even drink her Cola, or even eat her popcorn. She was too bored to do anything.
She looked up at the Kiss Cam. It was still blank. She looked around. There were so many couples out there, probably waiting to get shown on the Kiss Cam.
Suddenly, a spotlight blinded Kate. It was pointed to Tony and her.
She looked at the Kiss Cam screen. It wasn't blank anymore. She appeared on it, together with Tony. She could have sworn she was becoming lightheaded.
"Oh, no, no, no, no, no!" Kate silently said in panic. She started sweating. Tony looked at her direction.
"What's wrong, Kate?" Tony asked. Kate just pointed to the screen. Tony became nervous too.
"So, I guess we have to, Katie" Tony shrugged, while grinning. Everybody started cheering, completely forgetting about the game.
"This is a nightmare" Kate started moving backwards.
"Kiss!" Someone yelled.
"They're so cute together" Kate could hear an older couple whisper.
"Kiss already!" People shouted. Tony already leaned in, while Kate felt like screaming. She panicked, so she quickly got up and threw her popcorn all over Tony, altogether with her Cola.
"Ooooh…" Everyone yelled. Tony was left in shock, literally paralyzed. Kate quickly ran out of the arena, ashamed.
"Awwww!" The crowd yelled. Tony sighed, feeling sticky as hell.
AN: So, how did you like it? Lame ending, sorry.
REVIEW IF YOU LIKED IT.
P.S. I know the Gibbs hitting a high note thing was really OOC, but I just HAD to put it there. :)
