The sun set behind the horizon but the happy couple were still in each other's arm. Misaki didn't budge a bit to pull away while Usui has no intention to let her go at least for the time they caress so much.
After some time which seems like an eternity, Misaki being a human she needs some oxygen in her system unlike an alien in front of her. She pulled his hair desperately tried to convey him that she needed to breathe. Following her deep demand of air, he let her go but still hugged her tight.
Misaki's face is deep red due to embarrashment and anger. Her breathing speed up. She tried to even her breathe. "A…are y…you trying to kill me?" Misaki grasped a hold of his collar.
"I didn't know Ayuzawa loves me to her death. I'm touched." Usui smirked hugged her even more.
"Who loves a perverted alien like you?" Misaki smacked in his head to cover her deep flushed face. Thanks to the dark outside Usui couldn't clearly see the red tinted cheeks.
"Aww! That's hurt Misa-chan~"
"Stop whining like a child and let me go." She tried to break free the iron like grip.
"Nope." He shook his head pooping the word 'p'.
She glared him with her most horrific look.
"Haha… How can you be so cute? A moment you're kissing me like I'm the most handsome guy in this world and now-"He couldn't finish his sentence when he received another smack in his head.
*smack*
"Aww! Misa-chan! That's hurt." He massaged his head.
"Put that topic again I'll kill you." She gritted her teeth.
"What topic? Oh the KISS?" He teased her prompting the word 'KISS' in her ear.
A shiver ran down her spine when he blew the cold air behind her ear. "But Misa-chan liked it. She even kissed me back." He tickled her with his words.
"Let go or you'll catch a cold idiot!" She freed her at last though she really didn't want to but she did realize how cold it's outside and Usui was wearing just a thin T-shirt and a pair of sweet pant.
"Aaww, Ayuzawa cares for me. That's rare."She smirked again.
"That's because you're-"
"I'm?"
"You-"
"Me?" He blinked his eyes twice.
"Ahh! Go freeze to death you pervert." She roared and went down.
"Wait for me Misa-chan~"
"Shut-up!"
She searched for her phone. Finding her phone she was about to call when-
"Who are you calling?" Usui asked sitting in the couch hugging a cushion.
"I should call my mom. She'll be worried."
"You remembered very quickly to inform them." Usui joked.
"Yeah, thanks to a certain perverted alien."
"No worries. I already informed your mom." Usui proudly answered.
"Really? What did you say?" Misaki asked cancelling her call.
"-that you're willing to stay with me and begged me to convince your mom." Usui said normally.
"WHAT!? YOU'RE DEAD USUI…" She chased him picking what she found near her at that time which was supposed to be a lamp.
After two minutes of Misaki chasing Usui, he stopped her and calmed her down. Usui thought that may be someday the angry Misaki will unknowingly harm herself.
"Mrs. Ayuzawa has so much faith in me but you don't have a bit. How cruel Misa-chan." He faked pout.
"Tell the truth then."
"Okay I told her that you've a project at your office that is very much similar with my project. So we've to work together for two days." He pulled her and sat her near him.
"Ooh. That's a relief. B…but why did you lie?" She asked confused.
"I don't want Mrs. Ayuzawa to unnecessarily worry over such a careless child."
"Excuse me! Who's careless?" She revolted again.
"Me Ayuzawa. It's me." Usui surrendered.
"That's fine. Thank you. Now I should go." She slipped her shoes on.
"I'll walk you home." Usui picked his jacket.
"That's not necessary." She replied quickly.
Usui gave her an 'oh-really' look. And for the first time she agreed with him.
THE NEXT MORNING:
The amber eyed girl tried to figure out what was all the fussing about her. Like today she entered the office, she greeted nicely by everyone. Some of them even congratulate her. Some of them were prompting the word"Good job."But she didn't get what they were implying.
Misaki was sitting on her cabin doing her usual job. She had a very hectic morning. Well you can guess what would happen when her mom and Suzuna discovered the ring in her finger.
Speaking of that she remembered the incident two days ago. Is everyone thanking her because Hiro Soutaruis been caught? It may be in the news but how they did know it was me? No Wait, did Usui tell- no, if he did then he must inform me first. Then what is it all about then?" She sighed and returned to her file checking. Her boss might be pissed at her absence.
How will her boss react when he find out that his cousin's son was arrested. "Ah… I don't want to think about it any more. He's just a plutocrat." She arranged her files in their respective places and heaved a big sigh. She was sighing very much since morning…
After some time she finished half of her work and ready to give all the papers and files to Satsuki. She realized she hadn't met her friends yet. They must be worried. She should first apologize and explain everything to them.
She was about to open the door when-
"Where do you think you are going Misa?" Erika appeared eyes filled with anger.
"H…Hello Erika. I was thinking about you guys. How have you been?" Misaki asked after seeing her three friends outside her room.
"We should ask the same question to you." All asked in unison.
"W…what happened? What's wrong?" She asked worriedly.
"Are you okay?" Subaru asked worriedly.
"You took two days off." Honoka asked with a little jealousy.
"Is everything alright?" Erika asked suspiciously.
"I…I'm fine. Thank you." Misaki answered nervously and gave them space to come inside.
"You have nothing to say Misa-chan?" Erika asked by using her nickname.
"W…What?" She shuttered at her words.
They all sat in the chair and glared at her. "We never expect you to be doing something like that brave Misaki. And you don't even try to tell us?"
Misaki confirmed that they're talking about that Soutaru guy. It's not their fault that they don't know anything about his character. "Listen guys I…I tried to stop him but he was like persistent. I didn't have any choice." Misaki tried to convince them.
"What are you talking about? You even tried to stop him?" Subaru asked shocked.
"Well, an idiot like you must deny a handsome prince like him." Erika poked her forehead.
"Eh…!" Misaki was looking at them idiotically.
"But at last congratulation with your new relationship Misaki." They all said in unison and hugged her.
"What?" She asked confused.
"Don't give that 'what-you're-talking-about' look you naughty girl. We know everything." Honoka cheered and motioned at her finger.
Misaki got what they are talking about. A relief sigh escaped from her lips. "That's it?"
"Is that the alien boy proposed you?"
"Are you two were on a date?"
"Is that why you were in leave?"
"Eh…?" Misaki's furrowed her brows due to embarrassment.
"You all, how many times do I've to tell you stop bothering my child?" Satsuki's voice echoed in the room and everyone stopped right away. They could hardly control their laughter after looking Misaki's red face.
"Satsuki, our Misa found a date for her. Her alien proposed her. Isn't it romantic?" Erika told Satsuki with a high pitch voice.
"Yeah I'm happy for you my dear." Satsuki kissed Misaki's forehead. All Misaki could do was leaning closer to Satsuki like she is her protector from all the questions bombarded at her.
And the days went like teasing Misaki to a height that Satsuki had to yell and shut them up. But they couldn't stop knocking her, eyeing her with each passing minute.
FRIDAY AT 9 PM:
"Hello?" Misaki picked up the phone.
"Misaki, how have you been? I missed you?" A girly voice asked from the opposite line.
"Is that you Sakura? When did you come? I missed you too. Is Shizuko with you?" Misaki asked smiling hugging a pillow near her chest.
"Yeah Shizuko and me are going to meet you tomorrow okay. We are so eager to meet you. We're tired now. Bye Misaki. See you tomorrow." She hanged up the phone.
"This girl doesn't have a little patience at all." Misaki looked at her phone and placed it near her night lamp. The lamp made her mind drifted to her perverted alien. "I hope what is he doing now?"
Ring… Ring…
Then her phone rang again. She looked at the called ID and blushed at the name 'Alien.'
Ring… Ring…
"Oh no… what he's up to now?"
Ring… Ring…
"Should I pick up?"
Ring… Ring…
"No. He'll think as if I'm waiting for his call and will find a reason to tease me again."
Ring… Ring…
"Stop ringing you damn phone." She covered the phone with her pillow.
Ring…
After the phone stop ringing, she slumped down her tense shoulder. But deep down, she regretted a little for not answering the call. She looked at the small screen hope to see the same caller ID again but unfortunately it didn't show up. Sadly she went to sleep. "Idiot, can't you call again?" She murmured angrily.
Ring… Ring…
She jumped from her bed. "That idiot can read my mind in the phone too? This is bad. This is bad." She was biting her nail.
Ring… Ring…
She fisted her both hand and proceed to pick the phone. "Get a grip Misaki. Just press the green button and everything will be fine. Ok 1...2…and 3…
"Hello?"
"What are you doing Ayuzawa? I'm calling you like 10 times." Usui said from the other line.
"You liar, you called just once." Misaki reverted back too innocent to know the intention behind his lie.
"Ahha… then why didn't you pick up my first call?" Misaki could see the smirking behind his words.
She blushed heavily and bit her tongue for her silliness. "Don't be so smart. Why did you call?"
"What? Can't I call my girl at the night?" Usui pouted.
She blushed from the roots of her hair at his words. "Oh why he has such effects on me?" She face palmed.
"Because Ayuzawa is too cute." He replied as he read her mind again.
"Stop reading my mind you alien."
"Let's go on a date Misa-chan." Usui asked suddenly.
"W…What are you talking about you idiot?" She was about to drop the phone.
"Sunday. At 5 pm. I'll pick you up."
"Wait-" Misaki was cut off.
"I'll make sure that you'll not WAIT too long that day. Be ready Ayuzawa. Thank you. Good night." Then he hanged up the phone.
"What the-?" She looked at her phone puzzled.
"What I'm gonna do with him?"
And she was thinking about the DATE at that night. Thinking… thinking… and thinking…
