NMNT Season 3 Chapter 12: Across the Universe Part 1
-The Lair-
"Hey Don, hand me that drill there will ya?"
"Sure thing Raph."
It was a calm moment in the lair as the brothers were all doing something to pass the time. Donatello and Raphael were putting the finishing touches on a new Shell Cycle over in Don's workshop. Raph then used the drill to take off a metal covering near the engine.
"Raph," Don said with slight annoyance, "The Shell Cycle is already light weight."
"Yeah," said Raph with a grin, "but now I just made it eighteen ounces lighter."
Over in the center room/underwater access way entrance, Naruto and Leonardo were training together at blowing out candles using their weapons (Leo was using his Katanas to blow out candles that were placed on candle sticks while Naruto was simultaneously cutting down and blowing out candles that were on strings).
"The Falling Rain Kata," Leo said to himself as he swung his sword.
"The way of harmonizing one's self in action, this is the spirit of Yahdō," Splinter said, "The mind, body, spirit and weapon working in harmony. Balance is all."
Leo then began hopping from one candle stick to the next.
Meanwhile Naruto limbered himself up for a bit before reaching into his shuriken holster and kunai knife pouch, taking a weapon until he had no space to hold them in his palm or between his fingers. He closed his eyes, took a deep breath and let it out slowly.
"Remember Naruto," Splinter said, "you must be able to listen to your senses and your surroundings and wait for the opportune moment to strike. Only then can you begin to train in gathering natural energy."
Naruto, who still had his eyes shut, nodded and said, "Mmm," in response. He then threw a shuriken to his left which cut the string before quickly throwing a kunai knife to snuff out the flame. He then repeated this process of listening, waiting and throwing while also making sure he did not strike Leo with any of his weapons.
Over in the entertainment center, Michelangelo was happily enjoying a Silver Sentry comic book while he petted Klunk, the orange and white pet cat.
"Hee, hee, hee; I love comics, wanna know why guys?" he asked Naruto and Leo.
"Probably because of the superheroes," Leo replied as he continued to put out candles, though he missed one which he quickly rectified by putting it out immediately.
"Focus Leonardo," said Splinter.
Mikey wasn't finished as he said, "Ding-ding-ding-ding-ding: we have a winner! Give the prize to the sword wielding Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, nickname copyrighted by Naruto," he exclaimed happily, "It's all about the super heroes!"
Just then, one of Naruto's shuriken strayed from its intended path as it narrowly hit Splinter, who had to duck down to avoid the incoming weapon.
The rat growled in slight annoyance as he said, "Michelangelo, enough! Naruto and Leonardo are training. You may join them as you seem to have too much free time on your hands.
Mikey gulped nervously as he replied, "Um, I think I hear Donny calling me; coming Donny!" And he hastily made his way over to Don's workshop.
Suddenly, the lair began to rumble and shake violently. Everyone stopped what they were doing and gathered together.
"Um, I think we're having an earthquake!" Don shouted through the noise.
"But doesn't that always mean something bad is gonna happen to us?!" Mikey asked.
Just then a swirling green vortex appeared over the underwater access way entrance.
"You just had to ask didn't ya!" Raph remarked.
"I think we've seen that kind of energy before!" Naruto shouted.
At that moment, in a flash of bright-green light, Ultimate Drako appeared.
"Drako!" Splinter exclaimed in surprise.
"And the Daimyo's son, Ultimate Ninja. This is what we told you about Master Splinter, they merged somehow," Leo explained as the rumbling finally died down.
"Combined all into one ugly package," said Raph.
"We told you we would return," said Ultimate Drako, "we told you we would have our revenge!"
"Revenge this you bastard!" Raph exclaimed as he leapt right at Ultimate Drako, only for him to be frozen in place and thrown into a stone support column (returning to normal).
"As if you could simply fight us," Ultimate Drako sneered, "we control time and space; with Lord Simultaneous' Time Scepter, we are unbeatable!" They then froze the entire group of heroes and lifted them in the air.
"Now we will have our vengeance," he said.
Ultimate Ninja then said, "Leonardo, kill him first."
"No," said Drako, "We agreed, we kill the rat first, then your father the Daimyo."
"Then Leonardo," said Ultimate Ninja, "They will all pay!"
"Yes," said Ultimate Drako, "All of them will suffer just as we did, floating beyond time and space!" He then waved the scepter and a brilliant white flash of light appeared and enveloped everyone.
-On another world-
The five brothers, whose eyes were all shut, groaned as they opened their eyes and rubbed their heads.
"Man, what a weird dream," said Naruto.
"Yeah, that had to be...Drako!" Leo exclaimed as he became aware of what had happened.
Everyone looked at their surroundings (where they found that they were in a hole in the ground) when they heard a noise coming from behind them. They turned around and saw a small purple dinosaur-looking creature.
"Uh, what the shell is that?" Mikey asked. The creature, startled, scurried away.
"I think the better question is where the hell are we?" Raph asked.
"Only one way to find out," said Don as he climbed out of the hole with the others following suit.
They then walked up a small hill, which was surrounded by beautiful fields of green grass, and stood at the top where they saw in the distance a village of sorts. Taking a better look around them, they saw that the sun had just beginning to set (as evident by the bright yellow-orange clouds and still blue skies). They also saw forests and mountains way in the distance.
"Let's see if we can comprehend what just happened here," said Leo, "Drako appears in the lair."
"Then the lair goes away," said Naruto.
"Then we wake up in a hole," said Raph.
"Master Splinter is gone," said Mikey.
"And we arrive to what looks like Feudal Japan," said Don.
All of a sudden they heard a noise behind them (from seemingly out of nowhere), as two horses whinnied and reared their front legs while their riders (who were as follows: a tan cat with long black hair (that was tied to make sure it would not obstruct her vision) wearing simple open-toed sandals, white socks, purple pants (with a white sash tied at her waist), black samurai garb and a pink vest. The second rider was a teenage panda dressed in traditional feudal lord grab that was the color of blue) fell down.
"Hey, are you alright?" Naruto asked. The cat, however, quickly took out her sword and stood at a defensive position in front of the panda.
"Ninja scum!" she exclaimed angrily, "You won't have him; I don't care how many ninja clans come!"
"Ninja clans?" Don asked.
"Have who?" Mikey asked.
"Lady," said Raph, "You gotta calm..."
"You will not live to see another sun rise, so swears Tomoe Ame!" the cat, now known as Tomoe Ame, declared. She then clenched her teeth and began to charge at the brothers.
"Stop," Leo protested, "We don't want to fight you!"
But Tomoe Ame didn't pause for a second as she began to slash he sword around, hoping to cut one of the brothers down to size. She became very fast and agile in her desperate attempt, for the brothers began to dodge her strikes. She then leapt at Naruto.
Seeing as how she wouldn't listen properly, Naruto pulled out a Kunai Knife and stopped her attack.
"Didn't you hear us, we're not your enemy," Naruto said as he pushed his Kunai blade against hers.
"Ninja deceit," she replied as she struggled to gain the upper hand.
Naruto, having quite enough of this, threw her weapon aside (using his Kunai Knife as leverage) and tripped her, making her fall to the ground with a thud. As Tomoe Ame winced from the pain, she looked up and saw the five brothers standing in front of her. She knelt on both knees and looked up at (who she thought were) her captors.
"Please," she begged in a quivering tone as she prostrated herself, "If you have any honor in yourselves, ninjas, spare my lord; kill me instead." She then raised her upper half, shut her eyes and spread her arms out wide before dropping them to her side.
"I'd like to think of myself as honorable and a ninja," Leo replied (he is standing in the center, right in front of her) as he held out a hand to help her up. Tomoe Ame opened her eyes and saw this gesture. With a humble expression on her face, she took his hand and helped herself up.
"Forgive me," she said in a humble tone, "I am shamed by my actions. I mistook all of you for..."
Just then, the teenage panda groaned as he sat up and rubbed his head.
"*Gasp* Lord Noriyuki," Tomoe Ame gasped as she rushed to his side, "My lord."
"Who are you guys?" Leo asked.
"He is Lord Noriyuki," Tomoe Ame replied (now the panda shall be known as such), "Head of the Geishu Clan. I am his retainer, Tomoe Ame."
"Wait," said Don, "You don't, by any chance, know a samurai named..."
He was interrupted by the arrival of giant clawed hands coming up from beneath the ground. The collective group looked to where the sound was emanating from and saw a group of giant Japanese Moles dressed in black ninja attire climb out. But just as quickly as they appeared, they quickly disappeared back underground. Everyone was on alert as the brothers took out their weapons and stood at the ready.
Naruto then punched to his right and took down two moles while Leo roundhouse kicked a third to his left. Tomoe Ame leapt out of the fray, taking Lord Noriyuki to a safe distance.
Meanwhile Don leapt up in the air and, using his Bo Staff, knocked the moles that had leapt up after him right in their heads.
At the same time, Raph had just got done shoulder-ramming into a group of three moles when a forth appeared behind him. Keeping his cool, Raph just calmly reached over his shoulder.
"YYAHHH!" he grunted as he flung the enemy over his right shoulder and slammed him on the ground.
Meanwhile, Mikey was hopping all over the place as he avoided the clawed hands that were popping up and trying to grab his ankles.
"Talk about being an ankle biter," he said as he stopped to grab a hand that popped up, lift the mole out and throw him like a bowling ball straight into a group of five moles that had climbed out of the ground.
Just then the brothers heard a scream; they turned to see Tomoe Ame being dragged down by her ankles. Thinking quickly, Naruto threw a kunai knife right at the clawed hands, which made them let go of her ankles.
"What the heck is going on here?" he asked.
"The Mogura Ninja have come for Lord Noriyuki," Tomoe Ame grunted as she fended off other attacks while trying to get up, "We must protect him!"
And just as she said, the moles began to advance upon the teenage panda. Leo quickly went into action as he either punched or kicked away the enemy before grabbing Lord Noriyuki and leaping out of the fray.
Suddenly, a group of moles surrounded Tomoe Ame and began dragging her down again.
"Tomoe Ame, NO!" Lord Noriyuki shouted. Naruto made a bee line for her arm but was too late in grabbing it.
"Damn it," he exclaimed angrily as began to dig frantically, but not before a claws hand popped out. Naruto leapt back to Leo (the rest of his brothers joining him) and prepared to defend Lord Noriyuki when the advancing moles were stopped by some arrows. The group looked towards the direction of where the arrows were coming from and saw Usagi and Gennosuke riding on horses. Usagi pulled out his swords and leapt off his horse to do battle with the moles. However, the moles had other ideas as they all retreated back underground.
" *Humph* Cowards," Usagi muttered as he put away his swords (Gennosuke, meanwhile, retrieved not only Usagi's horse, but Tomoe Ame's and Lord Noriyuki's horses as well).
"Usagi," said Leo.
"Are we glad to see you," said Naruto.
"Welcome to my world Leonardo-san, Raphael-san, Donatello-san, Michelangelo-san, and Naruto-san," Usagi said, bowing as he did so, "Your presence is as fortuitous as it is mysterious."
He then turned his attention to the teenage panda and said, "Lord Noriyuki, I am pleased you are safe."
"Indeed," said Lord Noriyuki, "Thanks to these Kame ninja and this..." He paused as he studied Naruto. "Hmm, your appearance is that of a Saru, yet your presence is that of a Kitsune," he said.
Naruto just raised an eyebrow.
Don then asked, "Usagi, what's going here?"
"Ninja treachery," Gennosuke answered, "heh, no offense."
"Donatello-san, Lord Noriyuki has been targeted for assassination by a rival: Lord Hebi," Usagi explained.
"Ah, this guy doesn't sound so tough," Raph remarked, "Not with that kinda name."
"I dunno Raph, doesn't that old saying go like: 'Don't judge a book by its cover'?" Mikey asked.
"Indeed Michelangelo-san," said Usagi as he bent down and grabbed a bit of the soil that had been dug up, "Hebi has decreed that whichever ninja clan can successfully kill Lord Noriyuki will win his favor, the attacks have been relentless."
He then sniffed the dirt before wiping his hands off and standing up. "Only Tomoe Ame's skill and honor have saved her Lord from the ninja. Her sacrifice will not be in vain; Gen and I will escort Lord Noriyuki to the capital city of Edo. The Shogun is expecting him, and Hebi will not continue his attacks under the Shogun's watchful eye."
He then helped Lord Noriyuki sit in front of Gennosuke on his horse before mounting his own. The others got the general idea as Leo sat behind Usagi, Don sat behind Naruto on Tomoe Ame's horse and Mikey sat behind Raph on Lord Noriyuki's horse
"And on the way," Usagi said, "perhaps you five can tell us how you came to be here."
-A desert, much later. Sunset-
"And wouldn't ya know it, that Drako and Ultimate Ninja freaky hybrid thing came and smacked us around in our lair," said Mikey.
"Then we woke up in that valley," said Raph.
"And the next thing we knew, we were fighting alongside Tomoe Ame against those Mogura ninja," said Naruto.
"Drako," Usagi said with a stern scowl, "I had hopped we had seen the last of him."
"We have to find Master Splinter," said Don.
"And the Daimyo," added Leo, "Don't forget that Drako and Ultimate Ninja want revenge against the Daimyo." Leo then had a light bulb go off in his head. "The Daimyo," he said, "Wait a minute; Usagi, the Daimyo's war staff can send us home. If we can get to the Battle Nexus, then the Daimyo can open up a doorway to our world. I think I can remember the chant to open up the portal. Naruto, do you remember what the symbols looked like?"
"Sorry Leo," his brother replied, "I can't help you there."
"Do not worry Naruto-yan, I know the ritual," said Usagi, "I will help you in any way I can, as soon as Lord Noruyuki is under the Shogun's protection."
-A Pagoda, the throne room: Night-
Tomoe Ame was thrown face first into a large throne room, landing with a grunt. Just then, there was a hissing sound and a large snake, who is Lord Hebi, emerged from the shadows (presumably from his throne/bed).
"The Geshu lord's corpse should be laying before me," he said, "Not thisssss girl."
"My lord," said the apparent mole leader, "we had Noriyuki but there was...interference."
"Usssagi," said Lord Hebi.
"You are a coward Hebi, hiding behind your many servants," Tomoe Ame spat out in defiance.
"Silencccccce," Lord Hebi retorted, "You shall be very ussssseful to me." He then smiled a dangerous smile as he slithered up to her and coiled himself around her.
As he did this he said, "I know of you and your very clossssse and loving relationship with Usssagi. Your presence will bring both him and Lord Noriyuki to me." He then began slowly squeezing her, but the cat, while she did grunt in being uncomfortable, kept a defiant face.
Lord Hebi on the other hand was still smiling as he called out to the shadows, "Jizo." Just then, an orange cat dressed in purple and black ninja gear stepped out.
"Yes Lord Hebi," he replied.
"Your Neko clan will deliver a message to Miyamoto Usagi for me," said Lord Hebi, "and if these interferences continue to get in my way, kill them."
-The Group of Heroes: The next Day-
Presently the group was at the edge of a forest, peering down a gorge where there was a river at the bottom.
"Uh, you sure we're goin' the right way?" Raph asked.
"It's a shortcut," Gennosuke replied.
"Your shortcuts will be the end of us Gennosuke," said Usagi, "Come, let us head back the way we came."
Suddenly they were surrounded by ninjas dressed in black that leapt in from out of nowhere. The heroes took out their weapons.
"How perfect, it's an ambush," said Naruto.
Usagi struck first as he took down two to his left and two to his right. He then took out his swords and began striking down and disarming ninja from all sides.
Meanwhile Mikey twirled his Nun Chucks as he hit two ninjas in their jaws and caught their fists in the chains holding his weapons together before throwing the two ninja into other ninjas, knocking them down.
Meanwhile Don leapt into a group of ninja and, holding his Bo Staff behind his back, spun around as he knocked the ninja I he air. Then he jumped up to knock them back down to the ground.
Meanwhile Gennosuke took out a sword and used a upwards sweeping motion to knock away any weapons the group of ninjas he was facing had before punching them right on their heads, knocking them to the ground with an audible thud. He then stuck his sword into the ground and stomped down as hard as he could. The ground in front of him then began to rumble and form enormous cracks as two groups of ninja fell to their deaths when the ground beneath their feet disappeared.
"Whose idea was this anyway," he grunted as he put down more ninja.
"YOURS!" everyone else yelled.
"You and your damn shortcuts," Raph said as he took out his Sais and somersaulted forward twice, propelling him into the middle of a group of ninja. Acting fast, he upper-kicked two ninja (one with each foot) before standing up and knocking heads into some other heads. He then sensed an attack coming from behind as he turned around and trapped two swords in his Sais (one in each). He grinned as he used his Sais to knock the weapons out of the ninjas' hands before elbowing them in the face.
Meanwhile Leo was striking hard and fast as he wielded his Katanas against the multiple ninjas. One ninja managed to tackle him to the ground, but the turtles rectified that by wrestling the ninja until they were face to face before kicking him smack dab into a tree. Leo then got up quickly with a grunt before leaping into the air and striking down a group of three ninja with ease.
Meanwhile Naruto was busy protecting Lord Noriyuki (who was standing up against a rock wall, trying to not get in anyone's way) as he took out/twirled out two kunai knives (one in each hand) as he got up close and personal with the enemy, either with punches and kicks or cuts and scratches.
"Naruto-san!" Lord Noriyuki cried out. As Naruto grabbed hold of a ninja by his arm and held him at bay there, he looked over and saw two ninjas with swords drawn leaping in from above.
"Oh no you don't," he grunted as he threw the ninja he was holding at bay into the other two, knocking them all out of commission in the process.
At the same time, from high above on another cliff, Jizo could see that the ambush was not going in his favor.
He turned to his two aides (who were also ninja) and said, "Order the ninja on the path to pull back and the archers to move forward." He then began to walk away.
On the battle below, the enemy ninja continued to attack relentlessly while the heroes continued to fight back just as hard. Just then a conch-shell horn signal echoed all over the area as the remaining ninja retreated.
"What is this?" Usagi asked.
"Heh, cowards," Raph and Gennosuke said at the same time.
"I don't like this," Leo said with a hint of worry in his tone.
"Something's definitely up," said Don.
"Uh guys?" Mikey asked the others as he looked/pointed in a certain upward position. The others looked up to where Mikey was pointing towards and saw (with their eyes collectively widening) multiple ninja archers standing at the ready on the cliff above them.
"There's only one way out," said Usagi as he looked towards the gorge with the river at the bottom, "but it's somewhat wet."
The archers then began firing as the heroes put away their weapons and began dodging them.
"You've got to be joking," Gennosuke said in disbelief as Usagi tackled over the cliff, "I hate water!"
The turtles were the next ones to leap off the cliff while Naruto scooped up Lord Noriyuki and jumped off as well.
-The River-
Everyone made a big splash as they touched the bottom of the eight-foot deep river (all while dodging arrows that were still being fired at then) before heading towards the surface and swimming towards the bank opposite of the cliff face. They all panted a bit as they headed into the trees for some cover.
"We must keep moving, those were Neko clan ninja," Usagi panted as he and everyone else caught their breath, "and they will not give up so easily."
"'Easily'?" Gennosuke remarked, "You think that was..."
He was interrupted when an arrow with a message tied to it flew past him and became embedded in the tree trunk to his left.
"Easy?" he finished his thought. Naruto then pulled out the arrow and handed it to Usagi.
"Quickly," said the rabbit samurai, "Before we are followed." And the group ran deeper into the forest.
-The other end of the forest, sometime later-
The group was on alert as they stopped to let Usagi read the note that was handed to him. He read it quickly and said, "Tomoe Ame is alive, but she is going to be executed for crimes against Lord Hebi."
"They cannot do that," Lord Noruyuki protested loudly, "We must rescue her!"
"Lord Noriyuki," said Usagi, "this is more than likely a trap and your safety is paramount. Tomoe Ame would tell you the same thing."
"I do not care," Lord Noriyuki continued to protest, "I am Lord of the Geishu clan and I am giving you an order! If you will not aid me then I will free her myself!"
Usagi sighed as he looked towards the five brothers and said, "My friends, I know how much you want to go home. Yet I-"
"Of course we'll help," said Leo.
"That's what best buds are for," said Mikey.
"No matter the task," said Don.
"That's somethin' you can take to the bank," said Raph.
"After all," said Naruto, "we'd be worse than scum if we're to abandon her now."
-The forest outside Lord Hebi's Pagoda/Castle, Night-
The heroes were currently looking at the obstacle that was the Neko clan's base camp, which was situated between the forest and the castle.
"We should be in Edo," Gennosuke complained, "This is impossible. There are too many, no samurai could get through that. Or get paid enough to try."
"So let's try," said Raph as he took out his weapons.
"Wait," said Leo as an idea flew into his head, "maybe we won't have to."
-Some time later, still the same location, night-
A patrol group of five ninja crept towards the edge of the forest as they looked for danger. Suddenly something rustled in the bushes which caused all five of them to be on alert as they readied their weapons. To their slight disappointment, a small purple dinosaur-looking creature came running out in a panicky sort of way. The tension in the patrol group went away as soon as they put away their weapons.
Just then, they were promptly knocked out cold as green three-fingered hands dragged them into the bushes. And a few minutes later, Leo, Don, Raph, Mikey, and Usagi all stepped out of the forest dressed like the enemy.
Raph then took a whiff of his garb and recoiled in disgust.
"Goddamn," he said, "Guess these Neko guys ain't never heard of laundry."
"No kidding," Mikey agreed as he gagged a bit.
"Well you know what they say," said Don (though he too was trying not to throw-up), "'If you can't beat them, join them.'"
"I'd rather beat em' to a bloody pulp," Raph remarked.
Usagi was also disgusted, but not from the smell as he remarked, "Ugh, ninja garb. I feel violated and cloaked in dishonor." He shuddered as he finished with, "We will speak of this to no one."
Leo then turned to face Naruto (who was finishing tying up the now naked cat ninja to a tree) and said, "Alright Naruto, you and Gen protect Lord Noriyuki. If anything happens..."
"Don't worry Leo, I got it," Naruto replied as he and Gennosuke sat down with the Geishu lord.
Leo then nodded as he said, "Alright, let's get a move on."
The four turtle brothers and Usagi then slowly walked towards the castle as they blended in the enemy camp. They then came to the castle where they rounded a corner and began to use stealth as they snicker around trying to find a way in. They then came upon the entrance gate, but were somewhat dismayed at the guards posted there.
"Hebi's castle's gate is too well guarded. What now?" Usagi asked.
Don then put on wall-climbing hand-held spikes and answered, "More ninja treachery."
Everyone nodded as they all put on the hand-held spikes before sneaking around to the bind-spot part of the castle. The group then began their ascent towards an open window.
-With Naruto and the others-
Back in the forest, Naruto Gennosuke and Lord Noriyuki were sitting around a fire (that Naruto built). Presently Gennosuke was busy finishing up a portable meal he had brought along.
"So," he began to ask Naruto while he picked up the last of his food with his chopsticks, "I don't suppose you're interested in a small wager on the outcome of this rescue?"
"Listen pal, if you thought Kakashi sensei had luck on his side back at the Battle Nexus then you haven't seen anything yet," Naruto replied as he got up, "Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to rectify some possible situations we're gonna have. You stay here and protect the panda."
And he walked away.
"*Humph* Your loss," Gennosuke said as he threw his empty bowl into the fire."
-Inside Hebi's Castle, the Cell Block-
All was calm inside the block as two guards patrolled the corridors. As they exited to make various reports, the brothers and Usagi lowered themselves slightly from the ceiling. Usagi looked at the brothers who then nodded as Raph, Don, Mikey and Usagi dropped from the ceiling and looked for Tomoe Ame. Fortunately, they did not have to look long as Mikey gave a silent signal to indicate he found her. The other three then came rushing in to asses her situation (she's tied up with ropes and is alseep).
"Tomoe Ame," Usagi whispered.
"Hey!" shouted a voice from behind them, "What are you three ninja doing here?!" The three turned and saw a guard coming down some stairs.
"Answer me!" shouted the guard, "What're you ninja doing here?!"
Usagi growled as he replied angrily and took off his mask, "I am not a ninja, I am samurai!" And he quickly picked up the guard and threw him into Tomoe Ame's cell door, knocking it down (while also knocking out the guard). This in turn woke up Tomoe Ame with a jolt.
"Usagi," she said with a hint of worry in her tone as Usagi freed her, "What are you doing here? Please tell me you didn't bring Lord Noriyuki here."
Usagi smiled a bit as he replied calmly, "Your lord is safe." He then became serious as he helped her up while he said, "But we must hurry, we have little time."
However, as the two stepped out of the cell, they gasped as they saw that it only were they surrounded by guards but that Raph, Mikey and Don were held hostage by those guards.
"Drop your weapon samurai," the main guard commanded.
Usagi scowled.
"Do it," said Don.
Usagi reluctantly complied as he took out his weapons and put his hands in the air.
"Let us take these scum to Lord Hebi," said the main guard as they confiscated the three turtle brothers' weapons while also binding the whole groups' wrists with ropes, "He will be quite pleased."
-Lord Hebi's Throne Room-
The turtles, Usagi and Tomoe Ame were marched into the throne room. Their guards then left the room with their weapons as Lord Hebi looked at them with a boastful smile on his face.
"Thossse with honor are sssssso predictable," he said as he towered over them, "So eassily maneuvered. So pathetic."
"You will get no satisfaction from us; we would rather die than give up Lord Noriyuki!" Usagi protested.
"Such defianccccce," Lord Hebi replied, "It isssss a shame it will be all for naught. For you sssee, any ssssecond now my subordinatessss will be bringing in that worthlessss panda and once I kill him, I will pillage his clan's land and all its treasuressss. It will be..." And he paused to savor the moment.
"Gloriousssssss."
Presently there was very loud thumping outside the throne room door. Lord Hebi began cackling evilly while Usagi's and Tomoe Ame's eyes widened in fear as they turned to face the door (though strangely enough, the turtles' faces were stoic as they too faced the door).
Just then a massive pile of guards all tied up, bruised, beaten and knocked out came tumbling through the door.
"What?!" Lord Hebi shouted in disbelief.
"You know," said Leo as he leapt in through the door and over the pile of guards while landing in front of the pile, "It's shitheads like you that give us honorable reptiles a bad name."
"But how? I don't understand," Lord Hebi exclaimed.
"If you want," said Naruto as he came leaping in and over the pile while freeing the others with a kunai knife and handing them their weapons, "You could a look outside." He then smiled and said (in a taunting sing-song voice), "But you're not gonna like it."
Lord Hebi then looked out his throne room window (and it's already the daylight morning) and saw, to his horror, that not only were the Japanese Mole ninja bruised, beaten and tied up in a huge ball but that Jizo and his Neko clan ninja had their heads sticking out of the ground (they were struggling to get free, even though it was no use). But what added insult to injury was that Naruto had placed the heads in such a manner so that they would spell out:
粘液吸盤を食べる ! ("Eat snot sucker!"). The exclamation point was made up from his clones that he used to execute this feat.
At the bottom of this phrase were Lord Noriyuki and Gennosuke who at that moment decided to do as Naruto instructed them to do, which was to pull down an eyelid and stick out their tongues.
Lord Hebi growled as he turned to face the group.
"Damn you," he growled.
"Give it up," said Leo, "You lose."
"NEVER!" Lord Hebi shouted as he prepared to attack. But he stopped dead cold in his tracks when he heard a conch-shell horn signal echoed everywhere. Lord Hebi's eyes widened in fear as he looked out the window and saw the Shogun's vast army arrive.
"I see the Shogun wants an audience with you Lord Hebi," said Usagi.
"This is not over Ussagi!" Lord Hebi said as he opened an escape door and slithered away really quickly (for a snake his size anyway). Raph made a move to go after him but Usagi stopped him.
"Let him go like the coward he is Raphael-san," he said, "Besides, the Shogun's army is more than likely surrounding the castle; there is nowhere he can hide."
-Outside the Castle, Morning-
Lord Noriyuki and Gennosuke were standing in front of the main gate as the others came out (the clones Naruto made dispelled after the army came in). Tomoe Ame calmly walked up to Lord Noriyuki and expressed her relief as she said, "My lord, I thought I would never see you again."
"Well if you are to thank anyone Tomoe Ame, thank Usagi, Gen, the Kame ninja and the Saru-Kitsune ninja. Were it not for them, it would have been the Geishu clan's final chapter."
He then turned to the brothers and bowed to them, who in turn chuckled out of embarrassment as they smiled and scratched the back if their heads or their cheeks.
"You are all honorable warriors Naruto-san, Leonardo-san, Donatello-san, Raphael-san and Michelangelo-san. I am forever in your debt," he said.
"Don't sweat it," Mikey replied.
"Well I'm done with adventures today," said Gennosuke, "I need food." And he walked towards the castle to find some (the others smiled behind his back).
Usagi then turned to the five brothers and said, "And now my friends, there is the matter of your predicament."
-A Lake in the woods, sometime later, still morning-
Usagi (who, along with the turtle brothers, is out of the ninja garb) busily drew the symbols that would take the group to the Battle Nexus on a rock.
"It is complete," he said as he drew the last symbol.
"Let's hope this works," said Raph.
"Otherwise we can kiss New York City goodbye," said Mikey.
Usagi and Leo then began chanting and in no time, the symbols glowed and a portal opened.
"We can't ask you to come with us Usagi," said Don.
"You do not have to ask my fellow brothers, I am coming with you," Usagi replied with a smile, "As you say 'That's what best buds are for'."
The brothers smiled back as they all stepped through the portal.
Oh boy, I can already feel the hate mail coming about me not adapting a very specific episode before this one. But please hold your comments until next chapter when I explain why. But if you really want to comment, then please don't let me stop you.
