I know this chapter took forever just to be uploaded. I'm very sorry for that. But I can't decide if this will be a good ending. So, I made one that has 2 or 3 parts. The next part will be uploaded soon. I promise. Please tell me what you think of this part so I can put revisions on the next if ever I think it's necessary for the story. The ending I was thinking of was kind of.. well I don't know. Maybe just sweet.

Chapter 52

That night was the best.

Lucy has never experienced anything before. She felt all of Natsu's love for her and hoped he felt hers. Everytime that that crosses her mind she would immediately blush and sometimes squeal to herself., earning glances from people around her. So she tries so hard to focus on what she's doing or to the person in front of her so that her mind would not wander to that, all over again. When she sees Natsu everything was rainbow and sunshine. He had lifted all her worries off her shoulders. And she is forever grateful to him for that.

During the whole time he just kept on whispering soft, sweet and comforting words to her. Natsu made sure she knew through action and words how much he felt for her. How much he love her. And Lucy could not ask for more. He accepted her even after everything she's done. He kept loving her even after she left him. He still loved her even if she tried her best to avoid him. Not once that night had he let go of Lucy. Natsu made sure they were completely cuddled up to each other. Held her tight the whole night. And that was just enough to her.

She woke up the next day for brunch. It was nothing much, just something edible. A sunny-side up that is slightly burnt and some sausage. She knew he worked so hard for that and was happy that somehow he managed to make something, at least, edible. Before they were able to eat, Natsu had forced her into wearing his previous shirt that morning, which Lucy clearly disagreed to saying that garment is dirty and sweaty and she rather wear her own which had, at least, her own sweat. Still, Natsu won and Lucy end up wearing a new shirt of his.

And they ate brunch while they catch up. Spend time the whole day, never leaving Natsu's suite. It's like they're in their own world. It is perfect. They had each other. They have their friends. They have the company.

Everything's perfect. Everything's in place.

Except now, because Natsu had just visited her in her condo unit at Viewpoint. He had brought some papers that he wanted her to sign. Well, nothing's wrong with signing papers for the company except if you're the boss and you're getting fired by your co-boss. The papers were saying that she had been notified that she is actually fired from her own company.

"Natsu.." Lucy started as she reread the whole document. "Did you.. just say here that you're firing me?"

Sitting in front of her with that huge grin of his, Natsu offered her his pen. "This was decided by me and the Board."

She looked at him longer. "Is this some kind of a joke?"

"No Luce. It's going to be okay. Just sign the –"

"Natsu! You're freaking firing me from my OUR company! How the hell is that okay?" She shouted as she stood from her seat. "How was that even possible?"

"Well, I am the co-owner, CEO and is now executive…. because you're fired." He smirked. "I don't want you stressing yourself Luce." Natsu stood up from his seat and went over to where she was. He massaged her shoulders and pushed her back down on the chair.

Lucy shook her head. "You know how important the company is to me Natsu.. I lived all my life for –"

Natsu removed his hands from her and seated on the seat adjacent to hers. "Not anymore. From now on, you're going to have the time of your life."

"No. I can't." She frowned. "I won't leave the company. I don't have anything else to do."

"Then find another job." He said shrugging his shoulders. "There's an opening for a waitress at that maid café just beside the building." He leaned towards her. "I wanted to see you in a maid costume next time. " Natsu whispered as he winked at her.

Lucy looked at him in disbelief. What the hell was he thinking at a time like this? "You're saying.. is that you're firing me.. so I can get another job?"

Natsu hesitated for a moment but he nodded.

"Natsu! That's illogical! Completely illogical." She shouted. "The company is all I have. You can't fire me!"

Natsu shook his head and gave her an apologetic smile. "You're still one of the owner you know. I'm just firing you from your position. Getting another job is your choice, you still get your share from the company's earnings."

"I don't want the money I didn't work for!"

Natsu looked at her in disbelief. "You know Luce, a lot of people would kill just to be you now."

"I don't care. I want my job back."

"It's final. You're fired. By me and the Board."

Lucy's mouth twitched in annoyance. She can't understand Natsu's logic. Does he just want the company all to himself? "So you could be Executive?" She looked at him.

"I think so?" Natsu pursed his lips. "You know what Luce, stop asking more signing."

"But Natsu –" He kissed her. She was surprised. She lifted her hands to his chest to push him but he caught her wrists and he smirked to her mouth. He held both her hands as the other hand pulled her closer to him. Natsu bit her lip and soon, she kissed back. Maybe it's just some way for Natsu to get his way on her. She didn't mind though.

Lucy just can't accept the fact that she'll be fired from her own company.

That's just ridiculous.

He pulled her to him. "You know. Sitting in front of you makes me hot." And then pushed her off him and now they're both standing. "But I have to get these documents back, so will you just please sign them?"

"Are we still in this?" She asked in annoyance. She walked away from him. "You know how important the company is to me Natsu. You can't just make me stop doing something in it."

She felt him behind her. He wrapped his arms around her and he kissed her neck. "It's been only three days since you came back. Two days in bed and you're just standing now." He snickered when she elbowed him. "You're really exhausted Luce. You need to relax. You've done enough for the company, can you let me take over this time?"

Lucy turned around to face him. "Natsu –"

"I know it's important. Sometimes I felt like it's more important than –"

"Oh don't you use that!" She pouted.

"I swear! Sometimes I feel like it's more important than me. So can you just please sign these so I can fire you? I'm getting jealous of this company you know. You spent five years with it, now it's my turn." Natsu said looking straight into her eyes. "You need a break too."

"But Natsu.. we're both in it. That's the reason why we do less when we work. If you and the Boards would fire me, you'll get all the work all to yourself." Her voice soft as she lightly pinched his cheek. "I'm stressing if you're stressing too. So, why don't we just share the work load?"

"Nope." He shook his head pulling himself away from her. "Sign this or not, I'm firing you. Uhh well, me and the Board is firing you. This is just a notice anyway."

Her eyes widened. "What the?!"

"I love you Luce, just.. everything's fine!" He said and kissed her cheek. "I'll see you later, love."

And with that he's gone out of her door and maybe back to the office. She couldn't believe she was fired from her work, at her own company. She bit her lip. She just went to Magnolia, got her friends and the love of her life back but she lost her job.

Isn't that amazing?

"I still can't believe I don't have a job!" Lucy whined for the nth time. "It's been a week since I went to Cana and I still can't get an appointment with Natsu! I want to sue him!"

Erza chuckled at her best friend's rants. Ever since Lucy had been jobless, she would only be trying to get her job back or ranting her frustrations to either Erza, Levy or Juvia or all of them. "Why not talk to him when he visits you at your unit?"

"I did that and tried that plenty of times already." Lucy pouted. "He wouldn't talk about that. Natsu said he's not at work, it's not his office hours so.. he won't talk work. That resulted to me getting an appointment from Cana." Lucy gritted her teeth remembering how Cana turned her down and suggested to schedule an appointment with the boss. She had planned to break-in the office for so many times but Cana always managed to block her. And now, Natsu placed a security by his door. What does he think of her? A murderer? Burglar? "That stupid, annoying, big headed…" Lucy muttered under her breath.

"During the five long years, he's been working so hard to be someone you could be proud of." Erza said in a soft voice. She continued rocking her son in her arms slowly.

"I've always been proud of Natsu." Lucy said under her breath. "But I'm not proud of him firing me!"

Erza's eyes widened when Myst, his other son, squirmed from her hold. Lucy immediately placed her hands over her mouth and shook her head indicating she won't speak until further notice. Erza cooed and whispered soft voices to Myst. Soon the baby had fallen asleep and Erza placed him on the cradle next to Zael's.

After the motherly scene that took place in front of Lucy, Erza motioned her to follow her. For a moment she hesitated but quickly followed when the redhaired woman looked back and saw her not following. They went to the kitchen and Lucy sat on a chair by the kitchen island as Erza stuck her head inside the fridge. She took out a pitcher of juice and placed the freshly cooked cookies on a plate. She handed Lucy a glass and sat opposite her.

"It's obvious right?" Erza started. "He changed a lot." Lucy looked at her confusedly. "Natsu, don't you think? From the moment you met him to this day."

Lucy smiled softly. "I do think so. He did his best."

"It's all for you." Lucy looked up at Erza and saw her smiling at her. She had a milk in poured on her glass rather than the juice Lucy is having.

"Because of me?" Lucy asked in disbelief. "You know very well that –"

Erza place the glass back on the table and smiled softly at Lucy. "I do know. You'll still accept him even if nothing changed. Even if he's still that jerk guy we met. But he's changed for you. Not because of you but for you."

"For me?"

"He changed so he could be with you."

Lucy snorted. "I doubt –"

"He could be with you whatever he is as long as he's Natsu or Natsu Dragneel.. But that's not how he saw it." Erza said. "I told you he wanted you to be proud of him. But not only that, he wanted to show people he deserved to be in his place beside you."

Lucy blushed at that. She didn't know Natsu was thinking that all this time. She remembered how the Board members used to say that he's just a vocalist of Fairy Law, he can't do anything and all those things. No one believed in him when it comes to the company. They even rejected the idea of letting Natsu take over half of the leadership in the company. Lucy didn't know what to feel. She was happy he did that to show everyone he deserved his place. But at the same time she felt bad for him. Those words must have pulled his esteem somehow.

"Don't worry too much. He's doesn't care about what people say." Erza said interrupting Lucy from her thoughts. "Well, at least he didn't let them get through him. And he's fine." She breathed. "I guess, all I wanted to say is he deserved everything he had now. Even you."

Lucy giggled. "Now I think he deserves more."

Erza shook her head a smile lingered on her lips. "You two had been through a lot. The matter whether one deserves the other doesn't matter anymore. It's proven you both fought and struggled to be with each other."

"I think let's stop talking about me and Natsu." Lucy said as embarrassment starts to cover her face red.

Erza reached to get a cookie. "I'm just reminiscing!"

"Why choose this moment too reminisce when I need to get my job back."

Erza looked at her incredulously. "I don't get why you want to get your job back. Natsu told you to relax right?"

"I just.. I'm not used to being unemployed. I want to do something. I know Natsu can handle the company just fine.. it's just.."

"Are you doubting my teaching skills?"

Lucy sweat dropped. "I said I trusted Natsu's skills in running the company." She said in a low voice. "What I'm trying to say is Natsu's been really busy now. I haven't seen him this week yet. I was informed that he's in Oshibana right now."

"Oshibana? Where Yukino lives?"

"Uhh yeah?" Lucy bit her lip as she think of it. "I think that's where she and Sting are right now."

"Maybe he had business with the Aguria."

"Probably." Lucy let out an exasperated sigh. "I just want him to have time with me. This is what I'm saying all this time. If he's going to hog all the work to himself then he won't have any free time."

"You should apply as his nanny. Make sure he eats."

Lucy rolled her eyes. "Must be tough for him. I haven't run the company on my own before. It's always under Gramps' guidance or Father's. Or with Natsu. I just hope he's not doing what I've done before."

"Breakfast, Lunch, Snacks or Dinner.. those are the things Natsu wouldn't forget. Remember that Lucy." Erza said proudly as she tried to comfort her. "But if you're really worried why not be his nanny? Or be his secretary?"

"Nope. Can't put up with the Dragon. I think his den is so messy right now."

"Why not try Jellal? Or Levy? Or even Gray and Gajeel? I'm sure they can give you a job."

Lucy's eyes lit up. "Do you think they would mind?"

"Well Lucy, I don't think they would."

"I'll ask –"

"Luuucy!"

"Lucy!"

Lucy, at the mention of her name turned towards the entrance of the kitchen and saw Levy and Juvia came running towards her. Levy had her arms raised and opened as if she's going to catch her in a big hug. She looked at them confusedly. And once Levy reached her, she wrapped Lucy in a hug which Lucy returned confusedly. Juvia soon joined them hugging Lucy too.

"Are you okay?" Juvia asked as she still holds onto Lucy's hands. "Don't worry, Juvia knows the truth!"

"I swear, those liars. They just wanted popularity!" Levy said, irritated.

The whole time Lucy and Erza had been exchanging glances with each other talking animatedly as to why their friends are acting like this. But neither of them had an idea of what they were talking about.

"Don't let those words get to you, okay Lucy?" Levy said in a comforting tone. "I don't believe any of that. I know you just wouldn't be that, if any, that woman is."

"Juvia also thinks Natsu won't be able to do that."

At the mention of his name Lucy felt a little more nervous. "Um.." She started, not sure if she wants to hear what this fuss was about. "What are you talking about?" Lucy asked hesitantly.

Levy and Juvia looked at each other with mouths gaped open.

"You.. don't know?" Levy asked. "I mean, you don't check the news or read any newspaper?"

Lucy shook her head.

"Oh god." Said Levy. "Juvia, tell her. I can't tell that to Lucy."

"Juvia won't tell her boss something like that!"

They continued passing the burden of saying what they were talking about to the other and Lucy got really curious.

"Can –"

"Lucy.." She turned to Erza and saw her now holding her phone with a shock expression. After the long pause, which Lucy assumed Erza read the whole article, a smirk appeared on Erza's lips. She looked up and directed her smirk at Lucy. "Natsu is.. cheating with you?"

There's been a lot that's going on in Lucy's mind. Her friends were talking animatedly around her. She couldn't hear what they were saying but their expression says it all. They were worried about her, about how she took the 'Natsu−cheating−on−Jenny−with−her' issue. Truth be told, Lucy doesn't know how to react to that.

She knew the truth. She is Natsu's real girlfriend. But people think she's the cheating woman. The she wolf in this triad. She felt like laughing but at the same time not. Because the truth is Natsu actually nodded to the press when he was asked about Jenny.

That annoying pink head of his nodded.

Should she be affected by what the people are saying about her? No. She isn't like that. She trusts Natsu more than anyone.

"The Realight has a lot of connections." Erza stated with her hand under her chin. "Jenny Realight used to be a model before she took over their business so it didn't surprise me that this news spreads around so fast.. well Natsu's ex−Fairy Law doesn't help either."

"Juvia doesn't think it matters. We all know who Natsu really likes.. or loves."

"Still.. he nodded." Lucy muttered under her breath.

"What do you mean he nodded?" Erza asked silencing all of them.

"Uh.." Lucy bit her lower lip. "The day I.. I.. followed him to his suite."

"The day you two had –"

Lucy reddened. "YES THAT DAY!" She shouted interrupting Erza. "There're a lot of reporters at the lobby waiting for him.. I.. I heard one reporter asked him if it's true that there's something going on between him and Jenny… and he nodded."

Erza slammed her hand on the table and stood up. "THAT BASTARD! He agrees that he had a relationship with that woman and he had sex with you after?!"

Lucy's eyes widened as Levy and Juvia's mouth dropped open.

"I'LL MAKE THAT GUY PAY FOR WHAT HE'S DONE!"

Just then Myst and Zael cried pulling Erza back from her sudden outburst. Erza immediately went out of the kitchen and soon one crying baby was stopped. One more to go.

Lucy sighed. She didn't know what to do. It would be fine to do nothing but still, they have to clear it with the press, with everyone. She can't live forever like this.

Juvia placed a hand on Lucy's shoulder and gave her an encouraging smile. "Just call him. It's all going to be all right."

With a small nod and thanks Lucy dialed Natsu's number.

"Natsu, you nodded." Lucy said in stern voice. "How could you forget that?"

"What are you – Ohhh, that. I'm sorry Luce! But I swear, I didn't! Why will I even agree to be in a relationship with a person that's not you?"

Lucy rolled her eyes. "You need to go home, fix this."

"I'll be back tonight. Se –"

"Wait Natsu.." Lucy said as she bit her lip. "Did you.. Are you really not just cheating on her with me?"

She heard a chuckle from the other side. "Well, it will be a thrill if our love's a forbidden one. But no. Can't be in a relationship with anyone but you."

"How do you manage to still say those things even with this problem?"

Natsu snorted. "It's not a problem. I didn't do anything, you didn't do anything. It's just a plain misunderstanding. I'll clear it up when I get home. See ya!"

She sighed. It doesn't bother him even a little.. maybe it shouldn't bother her too. "Alright. See you."

"It's going to be alright Lucy." Juvia said as she stood up behind Lucy and patted her back. "Juvia needs to go. Juvia will be working with Master Makarov now."

Levy squealed. "That's great Juvia! What's your new project?"

"Juvia still doesn't know, but she was told that it's going to be big." Juvia cheered as she grabbed her bag and went out.

"It's a good thing that Juvia gets all those opportunities." Lucy said with a small smile on her face. "I'm really happy for her."

Silence enveloped both Lucy and Levy when they were left alone. Lucy completely jealous of Juvia as Levy watched her sigh.

"You know what Levy.. I've just been here for a few days and a lot of things happened. Natsu and I got back together, I've been reunited with all of you…" She paused and chuckled softly. "I got fired from my own company and I was accused of cheating with Natsu.."

"I know it's not something to fuss about. But I don't feel quite okay.. Maybe I'm a little worried about my relationship with Natsu. We've been through this before and that tore us.."

"It wasn't your fault or his. It was Lisanna's foolish actions."

"And it's fine now. Just.. I hope nothing will get in our way now."

Levy smiled at her. Her eyes brightened at the sudden idea that occurred to her. "You know what?" Lucy's head perked up. "Why don't you work with me?"

"I mean.. It's not that much. It's a simple café with a bookshop. And I know you like books, and I'm in need of help. So why not work in my shop for now?" Levy offered. Her eyes glimmering with excitement.

"Is it really okay?"

Levy reached for Lucy's hands and gave it a squeeze. "Of course! I offered it."

"Okay then. What am I supposed to do then?" Lucy asked giddily.

"Serve coffee. That's all."
