Chapter 14 - Man Vs Machine - Invasion of the Sand Village!
…..
"By the scorching sun I hate guard duty!" Yelled a Suna chunin in frustration as he had been standing guard at the front gate all day and nothing had happen for the entire time.
"I know man but everyone has to go through the rotation" said another chunin a few feet from him.
"Still doesn't make it any less bearable" sighed the first chunin "still wish something would happen hell, I'll even take two scorpions fighting at this point" he said to himself before noticing two people in the distance. "Well what do we have here" the guard said pulling out his binoculars. "Shit and I just had to wish for excitement." He said as he saw the black cloaks with red clouds on them. "Quick someone get Captain Yuura!" He yelled when all of the sudden he noticed one of the figures reached behind his back. "Everyone get ready!" he ordered.
The person tossed an object making all the ninja jump out of the way in case it was an explosive.
Thud!
"OH MY KAMI!" yelled a chunin as he saw the severed head of Yuura on the ground his skull cracked open.
[There's your captain!] Said the cloaked being with his arm outstretched.
"You mother fucker!" shouted a sand nin as he turned on his radio to alert Anbu command.
Pop! Zhreeee!
Out of the second figures' back two antennas pop out and sparked to life [Connection established!] it said before sending out a pulse of energy.
VOOOOD!
"AHHHHH!" Screamed all the ninjas as their headsets let out deafening noises making them never notice the other cloaked figure pull out a gun with a silencer.
The person fired his gun releasing twenty coughs from the weapon killing all the guards standing with a bullet in the head in a matter of ten seconds.
[Quite impressive Boss.] said the unarmed figure taking off his cloak revealing himself to be a robot with two large antennas attached to his back.
[Would have got it done in eight seconds flat if that last meatbag didn't run around like a chicken with his head cut off!] Growled the other figure taking off his cloak revealing himself to be Saisho or Boss as his younger siblings called him.
[Maybe I put too much juice into it?] Antennas said tapping at a screen built into his arm. [They were meant to be just stunned not, whatever that last one did.]
[You can't account for human error, you did fine Fixer.] Saisho said clasping Fixer's shoulder getting a nod in thanks. [Good, now to for phase two. 50 Cal respond!]
[Yes Boss?] A rough voice answered a lone robot that decloaked on top of the outer wall. This was 50 Cal a robot whose entire right arm was a sniper rifle. On the back of the scope a wire ran it all the way to where 50 Cal's right eye should been.
[Was your mission successful or did you sleep the whole week you were isolated?] Saisho asked the infiltration unit.
[Yes the target has three key ties we could take advantage of.] 50 Cal said uploading pictures of three people. [Unfortunately subject B is out of the village, Subject A might be a hassle given his skills, Subject C is who I recommend we target for acquisition as they have the least experience of the three and hehe I found one key piece of information] he said uploading an audio file.
Saisho listened carefully to the file his chest humming in excitement as his servos sparked to life. [Well done 50 Cal with this the success of the mission factor in at 99.999%] the Boss Bot said as he replayed the file.
"Dear diary I've made my decision. After our next training session I'm going to tell Gaara Sensei how I feel, I'm finally going to tell him that I love him…."
[The battle is already ours] Saisho said as five massive figures started scaling the outer wall.
[HEXOOE!] Roared one of the CHIMERAs as the servos in its legs braced to jump.
[Now!] Growled Saisho forcing the command.
[HARRGHRAAAAA!] Roared all five CHIMERAs as they jumped into the air.
….in the Sand village market place.
"What the hell is this?!" yelled an irate civilian as he stood in front of a merchant's cart. "I mean why the hell are you charging 2500 yen for cabbages!?"
"You live in the desert! You know how hard it is to transport produce across a desert?" yelled the merchant glaring the man down.
"Yeah but why so damn high!?" shouted the man.
"Because there's no one else to compete with." Grinned the merchant.
BOOOOOOM!
"MY CABBAGES!" screamed the merchant as a large figure dropped from the sky and crushed his wagon full of cabbages kicking up dirt and sand, shielding it from sight.
"Everyone evacuate the area!" Yelled a jonin as he and a squad of ninja arrived on scene.
"Sir what the heck happen?" a chunin asked approaching the cloud of dust made from the impact.
His answer came in the form of a large clawed hand coming out of the cloud and snatching him up. This caused the cloud of dust to disrupt revealing the figure in its entirety. What the ninja saw made everyone freeze. The large creature was made of metal and hunched over like a gorilla supporting it weight on one of its large hand while holding the chunin in the other. Its outer skin was casted in black armor highlighted by a blood red.
"Everyone get out of here now!" shouted the Jonin.
[HEHOS!] Growled the mechanical monster opening its maw revealing razor sharp teeth. The CHIMERA brought the chunin up close having its six eyes focus on him. It cocked it head to the side then looked around itself, the primary and secondary targets weren't here. So it had no need for the one in it hands.
CRUSH! SNAP!
"Ahhhhh!" screamed the chunin as the machine crushed his body. When it let go of him hit the ground with a loud thump and laid there unmoving.
As one the gather ninja launched various Justus at the machine bombarding it with wind blades, flying boulders, explosive kunai one of them even tried a genjustu.
[RARGH!] The CHIMERA roared as it swiped with its clawed hand bisecting two ninja and smashing the jonin through a building causing massive damage to his body. [GEGATH!] It roared in victory smashing its fists on the roof of a house demolishing it.
BOOOOM!
[RAAGTH!] Roared another CHIMERA as an arm of sand had thrown him in the air. The other unit looked into the air and spotted a figure floating on a cloud of sand. Seeing its target the robot stood on it hind legs its spine locking him upright.
POP! Whrrrreeeeee! BRRRRRRRRRRR!
The armor on the machine's arms spilt in half and out shot miniguns that soon came to life as they set fire upon the target making its way to him at a brisk pace.
The jonin looked at the monster in shock having seen it dispatch his team like a bunch of rodents and then continue its campaign of destruction. He stared at it with hated only to widen his eyes in fear when he saw it turn a corner and he saw the symbol on its right shoulder.
"Captain Juno!" called another squad of ninja entering the building. "Are you alright, what's going on?" asked the squad's captain.
Juno coughed heavily as his left lung had been punctured by a broken rib "Cough cough he's back!"
"Who's back?" asked another ninja.
"Cough Sasori of the Red sand." Juno said passing out.
In another part of the village…..
"Quickly this way to the shelter!" Yelled a Suna genin by the name of Matsuri as she instructed fleeing civilians to the nearby shelter.
"Crap one of them is coming this way!" Shouted a genin down the street launching a barrage of kunai at a CHIMERA standing a few yards away the pinging off it armor uselessly.
Whrrrrrreeeee! BRRRRRRRRRR!
In annoyance the large bot lifted its hand off the ground and fire upon the genin ripping him apart with gun fire.
"RUN!" screamed a frighten civilian causing panic making everyone to stampede to the shelter.
"Keep that thing's attention away from the civilians!" ordered the Jonin in charge of this sectors evacuation. "Earth Style Rock Wall!" he shouted slamming his hands on the ground making a wall of pure rock between the robot and the civilians.
"Right!" shouted the nearby ninja jumping away from the wall thus drawing the beast's attention to them as it examined their faces looking for the secondary target.
"Get out of the way it firing its weapon!" shouted a ninja as the CHIMERA aimed at those it confirm wasn't his target.
BRRRRRRRRRR!
Luckily the Suna nin were prepared for the minigun this time and quickly jumping away or getting behind cover.
"What the fuck is that thing!?" cried a ninja.
"I don't know but it's definitely not human!" said another ninja next to him.
"Oh really I thought it was Mao, hey Mao you got that 1000 yen you owe?!" the first ninja shouted popping his out of cover and yelling at the machine.
[CONNAT!] roared the bot throwing a chunk of a fallen building at the ninja.
"Oh shit!" yelped the ninja diving out of the way. "Heh it could be Mao he always gets pissed and throws shit at me when I asked for the money he owes.
"Yeah let's try not pissing off the big strong monster." Said the other ninja sweatdropping.
"Were supposed to keep it distracted, so I'm distracting!" the ninja said popping out of cover and throwing kunai at the bot only for it to ping off its armor and hit a dango shop's sign making it hang from the building.
Clap! Clap!
"Nice job Sakuma you ruined that nice shop's sign." Mocked the other ninja.
"Bite me Iwato!" Growled Sakuma.
With Matsuri…..
Matsuri stared at the dangling sign as it rocked back forth above the CHIMERA's head and remembered a lesson her sensei Gaara taught her.
Flashback Three years ago…..
"Listen carefully Matsuri as this is something all ninja must know." Gaara said standing firmly before his student. "A ninja must be aware of their surroundings at all times." He said twitching his pinky. "Using the environment to you advantage can quickly grant you victory but…." All of a sudden Gaara rushed Matsuri making the girl step back and trip on a pile of sand that wasn't there before, when she hit the ground and looked up she saw a kunai in front of her face. "But you have to be aware as your enemy will use it to his advantage as well." Gaara said leaning down and offering his hand to the down girl. "Knowing this can mean the different between victory or death." He said not noticing the blush on the girl's face.
"Yes Sensai!" Matsuri said nodding her head.
End Flashback…..
Matsuri took out her Johyo/or Rope Javelin, a small dart on the end of a rope which specialized in binding your opponent or pulling them closer. "Haiyah!" Matsuri grunted out as she threw the dart at the sign where with a flick of her wrist the rope wrapped around it. Once secured she pulled hard and successfully broke the sigh off the wall.
POP! CRASH!
The sign fell off the building and crashed down hard on the left side of the CHIMERA's head and destroying the three eyes on its left side.
[RATHAGTH!] roared the robot as sparks sprayed from the left side of its face.
"Yeah take that!" cheered Matsuri.
"Good job Matsuri-chan that's using your head to umm hit his head." Said Sakuma as he and everyone but the Jonin didn't notice the robot twitch at the mention of Matsuri's name.
"Smooth man smooth." Iwato said getting a stink eye from Sakuma.
The CHIMERA stood still as it adjusted to the loss of eyes, once done it quickly snapped it head in Matsuri's direction stared at her face and roared loudly [MARRRRRRAAAA!]
[YEWAAAGH!]
[DAAAROOOO!]
[JAKDUUU!]
[HETVAKA!]
Responded the other CHIMERAs they had found the second target! Now the other four could focus their attention on the primary while he went after the secondary.
Having seen the way the monster was acting the Jonin immediately yelled "MATSURI RUN!"
[GORAAAAAA!] Roared the machine charging at the building Matsuri was on top of.
"AHHHHH!" screamed the girl as she quickly jumped to the next street.
BOOOOOOOOOM!
The CHIMERA had plowed right through the building and kept running on all fours after Matsuri who quickly ran down the street, the machine right or her heel destroying anything in its way.
"Shit! Quick someone contact Kankuro-sama or Baki-sama while the rest of us pursue the beast and rescue Matsuri!" the Jonin said sprinting after the girl and the monster.
Back outside the Village…
[They've found the second target.] Fixer said as his eyes light up as he disconnected himself from the network.
[Good then we can begin phase three.] Saisho said throwing his arm forward causing a wave of robot to run towards the village.
…in the center of the village.
[ETOOWA!] Yelled a CHIMERA trying to slam his fists on a figure on the ground only to be met with resistance by a dome of sand. [VAAARRRRAAAA!] yelled the bot in annoyance before it was backhanded by a wave of sand.
"I'll ask you again beast what is your purpose in my village?" demanded Gaara as his sand started to slowly surround the machine.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
[VOODUKA!] yelled the second CHIMERA as it slammed into Gaara's sand wall with the force of a freight train.
Luckily Gaara having heard the load beast quickly got out the way and let the bot pass harmlessly thru the sand wall making the robot lose zero momentum and thus it slammed into the other CHIMERA.
CRASH!
[JURA!] growled the robot who had been hit, and punching the other in the face.
[ZAKHAN!] roared the other snapping his jaw an inch from the other bots face getting a growl in response.
"That's good they're quick to anger." Gaara thought to himself as he observe the beasts snap at each other. What he had found out so far after the first dropped just outside the Kage building was. 1 Their skin was made of pure metal making all light attack useless. 2 They were as tough as nails as he had been tossing the first one around like a ragdoll and yet it stood up like nothing happen. 3 The creatures were heavily armed, this fact proven when the second showed up and blasted him with some kind of ballistic weapon. 4 Despite their large size they were fast as they had manage to avoid his sand a few times. And finally 5 they were highly aggressive, so much in fact that the two were now fighting each other.
[VACAN!] Shouted a CHIMERA kicking the other in the chest sending it crashing into a building.
[FOS!] roared the other bot throwing chucks of the falling building at what was supposed to be his ally.
"They have a shorter fuse than Uzumaki." Gaara mused to himself as the two robot slammed into each other.
…In Japan….
"Achoo!" sneezed Naruto loudly in the middle of class making Honekawa Sensei jump quickly in fright.
…back in Suna.
"I wonder how he is?" the Fifth Kazekage thought to himself as the two mecha grapple each other.
BRRRRRRRRRR!
The two CHIMERAs separated as a rain of bullets fell upon them. The Gaara and the two bots turned around to see the appearance of two more CHIMERAs with one's gun still smoking.
[POCAT!] growled the shooting robot walking into the clearing. It walk to the once fighting robots grabbed their heads and smacked them together. [VANOW!] it barked.
[VA.] Whimpered the two bots submissively.
Evidently something was different about the individual beast that had shown up to make the others act that way. This made Gaara send out a large wave of sand toward the CHIMERAs. He had to finish this quickly, if these things got organized…..he couldn't let that happen. He harden the sand into a spear, aiming for the beast who seem to be the leader.
Woosh! SCEERCH!
Unfortunately much to Gaara's ire the beast at the last second twisted out of the way only managing to scrape off a line of paint on it outer shell, leaving a check mark on its chest. There was definitely something different about this one. The way it moved, it was the same as the way an experience ninja would.
All of a sudden Checkmark's shoulders shifted and out popped two small squares. Gaara didn't know why but he didn't like the look of the red cones sticking out of them.
VOOOOM! BOOOOM!
Two of the cones fired flying at high speeds towards him. Gaara immediately sent up the shield of sand which took most the explosives. He growled slightly in frustration as his teeth vibrated, now it seem they also carried explosive ordnance. But they were held inside of the beasts and left a way inside, he could use that.
[DAWOOO!] barked Checkmark making a motion with its clawed hand. The robots getting the signal rushed their query bobbing and weaving thru the spears of sand until they manage to dog pile him. They quickly had to back off as Gaara's sand managed to push them back and wrap around the arm of one the robots.
[PAKAC!] shouted another CHIMERAs firing a rocket only to get back handed by an arm of sand making him fire harmlessly in the air.
BOOM!
"Sand Coffin!" Gaara shouted making a fist.
[NEERA!] roared the trapped CHIMERA as his arm was crushed and ripped off. [VORASA!] growled the one armed bot as he blasted Gaara with his remaining arm.
BRRRRRRRRRRR!
As the robot fire upon Gaara's shield the Kazekage's eyes shifted to the mecha that had fire his rockets at such close range. What none of the robots knew was that when Gaara's sand had knocked the robot to the ground he had managed to slip some sand inside and was currently examining it's insides.
"So that is what you are." Gaara grabbing the attention of the Checkmark.
[HOS!] barked the lead bot causing one arm to hiss in anger as it stop firing.
"Now I know what you are." Gaara said staring intensely at the destroyed arm on the ground. "At first I thought you were some kind of armored beast, perhaps even a summon. But no in fact you are something that would make my brother pass out from excitement. You're nothing but oversized puppets, highly advance puppets I admit but still puppets. And yet you're something more. I see what is inside." He said making the bots twitch slightly.
"There's something inside of you, a brain, a human brain" Gaara said raising his hand making the robot who fired the rocket look down at its chest.
[HYEEEIA!] Yelped the CHIMERA as it felt something inside.
"I wonder if they are there willing or are they from victims mutilated by your creator?" The red head asked. "If you are victims and if can hear me then first let me say that I am sorry." He said bowing his head slightly. "But I will make you a promise on my honor as Kazekage," Gaara said putting his hand forward and a loud bang occurred in the CHIMERA's chest.
[BORAAAA!] shrieked the machine as it rushed at Gaara.
"I will release you from your torment." Gaara said closing his hand into a fist "Sand Coffin" he whispered.
SPLAT!
THUD!
The seams in the CHIMERA's chest sprayed red as the brain inside was crushed and the robot fell over, skidded and stopped five feet from where Gaara was standing.
[VORA…..] growled the dying machine one last time as its right minigun aimed at Gaara's head.
CLICK!
The CHIMERA was out of ammo and could only whimper as its eyes dimmed.
"May you rest in peace" The Suna nin prayed putting his hands together. "Now to release the rest of you." Gaara said putting his hands forward sending a tidal wave of sand forward.
[DETAVA!] shouted the lead bot ordering the other two to retreat.
"You will not get away." Gaara said giving chase, the tide had turned predator was now prey.
A minute later…
"Shit we're too late!" Shouted a man with purple war paint of his face. This was Kankuro, Gaara's older brother and his generation greatest puppet master. "This place looks like a war zone, yeah Gaara was definitely here." He said looking around the area and seeing the destruction caused by the creatures that invaded his home.
"Kankuro-sama you have to see this!" Called one of the twenty ninja standing in front of the down CHIMERA.
"So that's one down and four more to go. So even one of Sasori-sama's marvelous masterpieces can't stand against Gaara." The puppeteer said examining, in his opinion a work of art.
"How can you say that even when these things have killed our comrades!" growled a Suna nin.
"Oh trust me I'm pissed off beyond belief, but as a puppeteer I can't help but admire a master's work" Kankuro said twitching his finger making the large mecha's finger move slowly.
CLANK! CLANK! CLANK!
[It's good to see that father is still held in such high regard after all these years.] said a figure stepping out of the shadows of an alley.
"What in the?" Kankuro said when he saw the Machine step forward.
[Hehe every meatbag always acts like that when they first see one of us] said Saisho as he stepped into the open. [Hello I'm known as Saisho the eldest of my kind] he said bowing politely.
"Amazing you're not only up and moving on your own but you're talking!" Kankuro said with wide eyes.
[Father has advanced his art ever since he let this dirt ball of a village.] Saisho said making the ninja glare at him for insulting their home. [This place is so dreary no wonder Father left!] the bot said kicking a stone.
"You watch what you say you walking tin can!" shouted a ninja launching a blade of wind at Saisho.
Woosh!
[Pathetic.] Sighed Saisho as he took a step to the left letting the blade of wind pass by harmlessly. [No discipline, no plan, you just attack without a thought. You human and your emotions if I had a stomach you make me sick to it] he growled flicking his wrist.
"Hegerkgerk" choked the offending ninja as a knife was buried in his neck.
Thud!
He hit the ground like a ton of bricks
[Emotions are so useless they dull the senses and clouds your judgment.] Saisho said snapping his fingers. [You meatbags are so inferior, it's time to show you who's superior!] he growled as more robots popped around the area.
"Speard out!" Shouted Kankuro.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
Thanks to his judgment all the remaining ninja avoided being tore apart by the incoming gun fire.
"Puppet Master Justu!" Kankuro shouted pulling out the scrolls on his back and releasing the three puppets.
[Ah Crow, Black Ant and Salamander] Saisho mused to himself seeing his creator's early work.
"I thought you would recognize them." The Suna nin said sending Crow and Black ant forward and destroying four robots by having them drive their blades into the back pack like attachment on their backs.
[You must be truly talented to be able to utilize such antiques to take out such advance models] the head bot said grabbing a ninja by the neck and snapping it.
"Once you know something's weakness even a rock can take down a castle." Kankuro said smirking. "He doesn't realize that crow is missing an arm." He thought to himself as the missing limb burst out of the ground. His smirk faded when Saisho spun around and shot the arm out of the air.
[Yes but what do you do when your enemy knows of this fact and every method to exploit it?] the bot asked cocking his head to the side avoiding the barrage of needles meant for his eyes. He pulled his gun out and shot at a random Suna nin only to have his shots blocked by Salamander. [And what happens when the enemy also knows yours?] Saisho said before firing at a weak point of the puppet rendering the shield useless as it fell off.
"Shit." Cursed Kankuro as Salamander now had very limited use without its shield, it still had a flame thrower but that would be useless against Saisho and his siblings.
[Don't look surprised boy we were built by the same person we know everything about his earlier works.] the robot said blasting off Crow's legs. He jumped forward grabbed Crow by the neck and tackled Black Ant to the ground ripped opened the capturing compartment put Crow inside and shoved a grenade in the three eyed puppet's mouth.
BOOOOOOM!
Black Ant exploded sending shrapnel from both puppets across the battlefield.
Saisho step forward slicing Salamander in half when Kankuro tried having it tackle Saisho.
[So tell me now boy what are you going to do now?] the bot asked.
Kankuro could only smirk before he threw his fist forward which Saisho easily dodged.
[HAHAHA WHAT WAS THAT!?] mocked Saisho putting his gun to Kankuro's head.
"A delayed reaction" whispered the puppet master.
POW!
A large fist had side swiped Saisho from behind sending him flying into a building.
[What in the…] Saisho asked before going silent as he saw the once dead CHIMERA standing.
"You forget your own roots Saisho" Kankuro said jumping on top of the large robot. "You and this big guy are based off Puppetry art and thus when we manage to destroy the mind inside the body is ours to control!" the Puppet Master said aiming the CHIMERA's left arm at the now still robots. "Black Secret Technique, Taming of the Giant!"
BRRRRRRRR!
In a matter of minutes Kankuro had used his new Puppet to wipe out the robots reducing them to scrap.
Thud!
"Kankuro-sama!" called one of the nine remaining Suna ninja seeing the puppet master and the large robot fall to the ground.
"Cough! Cough! I'm alright it's just hard controlling that thing, I used too much chakra learning how to move it while in battle." Kankuro taking off his hood and wiping off the sweat on his head. "I got lucky using its weapon. If the firing mechanism wasn't the same as Crow's, I don't know what would have happened." He said walking over to the building Saisho had crashed thru only to see the robot had disappeared. "Damnit he's gone!" he shouted making a still active robot laugh.
[You should have made sure you had destroyed him before firing us] Laughed a bot missing an arm and a leg. [Boss is a perfectionist, surviving is going to just make him more dangerous.] the bot said looking at another robot whose arm had been removed.
In another part of the city…
[Damn that human!] Saisho said as Doc removed his damaged arm and attached the arm taken from the destroyed unit. [I shouldn't have underestimated him!] he growled hitting and cracking a wall. [Fixer was is the status on the second target!?] he demanded looking at the meditating robot.
[Unit 04 is currently in pursuit as we speak, she won't be able to keep it up much longer her legs are starting to fail her.] Fixer said looking to his left.
….With Matsuri.
BOOOOOOM!
[SCEEEERAAAA!] yelled the one eyed CHIMERA destroying the building Matsuri had jump over to get to the next street.
"Just leave me alone already!" cried Matsuri turning a sharp corner into an alley and going to the next street over. She knew it would just jump over the building but she needed to take a quick breather for a full hour she had been pursued by the monstrous being. Her back up had tired slowly it down, that hadn't work out at all as both Sakuma and Iwato been thrown the windows of house.
"I hope they're all right." She thought in concern as she consider the two of them as her friends.
The Jonin captain he, he had been blown to bits by the creature's explosives. And now here she was all alone.
[VACCA!] yelled the beast on the other side of the building.
And being hunted by a metal monster. Matsuri could only sigh as she took off running or at least she tried to before the fatigue finally got to her legs and gave up on her. She had been going at full speed and doing all the twist and turns had put a lot of stress on them and thus she tripped.
"Please not now!" cried Matsuri.
WOOSH! BOOM!
[DEDOSE.] the CHIMERA said seeing the girl on the ground.
"I'm dead there no way for me to get away! I'm sorry Gaara-sensei I won't be able to tell you how I feel." Matsuri thought closing her eyes as the machine picked her up. "Here it comes!" she said to herself thinking the creature was going to crush her.
But to her surprise the pain never came. "Huh?" said Matsuri looking up confused as the robot tilted it head to the side as if was listening to something.
With Saisho….
[He has her.] Fixer said as his eyes light up.
[Direct him to the others then we can get Phase 4 underway] ordered Saisho getting a nod from Fixer whose eyes dimmed.
Back to Matsuri…..
[ROHOSS!] said the CHIMERA taking off in the direction he had been ordered to.
"AAHHHH!" Screamed the girl as the robot took them to the edge of an empty training field.
"Shukaku's Pike!" Shouted a familiar voice.
Pierce! Wham!
[HYIIIIEEEEH!] Cried another CHIMERA as it flew into the area after being slammed in the chest by a large spear that had pierced its chest. [WOOODA!] cried the beast going to grab the spear only for the sand to seep into its chest. It aimed ahead and fired knowing what was going to happen.
"Sand Bullet!" Shouted Gaara stepping forward moving his hand around rapidly.
[HERGAAAAA!] roared the large robot as the ball of sand bounce around inside before it burst out its chest taking the brain inside with it.
PING! BANG! POW! PING! BANG! POW! PING! BANG! POW! BOOOOM! THUD!
"Two more to go." Gaara said not knowing it was actually three.
[BARRACA!] yelled the one armed CHIMERA launching a barrage of missiles knocking the One tail's host off his feet from the backlash. [MEMOSS!] screamed the robot grabbing Gaara by his legs and then slammed him against the ground over and over.
WHAM!
[YORA!]
WHAM!
[DAKA! DAKA!]
WHAM! WHAM! WHAM! WHAM! WHAM! WHAM!
The servos in the CHIMERA charged and the robot jumped one hundred feet in the air.
[ZARA! GRORA UNDOW!] yelled the bot throwing Gaara to the ground and landing on him with so much force that it's legs snapped.
"GAARA-SENSEI! Yelled Matsuri in horror seeing Gaara laying on the ground.
"SAND BURIAL!" yelled Gaara's voice from somewhere as the sand below the CHIMERA swallowed it up.
BRRRRRRRRRR!
[NARRRRRAAAAAAA!] screamed the metal beast firing into the air as the desert consumed him.
CRUNCH!
BOOOM!
The rest of the mecha's rocket stores went off blasting a hole in the ground revealing the remains of the CHIMERA in the crater.
"But how?" Matsuri said until she internally slapped her forehead. Gaara must have used his sand clone and switch place with it.
[Well done Gaara of the Desert, the title of Godaime Kazekage is defiantly well earned] said Saisho appearing on the shoulders of the CHIMERA with the checkmark on its chest. [To be able to take out three state of the art weapons all on your own after only fighting them for an hour and a half, that is quite impressive.] he said jumping off the robot and landing on the ground. [The name is Saisho and I guess I'm the leader of this little operation] he said before being wrapped in sand. [Ah, ah, ah I wouldn't do that if I were you.] the robot said looking at the One eyed CHIMERA giving it the signal to step forward.
POP! Whrrrreeeeee!
The CHIMERA deployed its minigun and put it a foot from a wide eyed Matsuri's head and spun it, meaning it could fire the weapon at any second.
"MATSURI!" Gaara yelled in concerned for his student.
"Gaara-sensei just get out of here and forget about me." Matsuri begged now knowing that they were after him.
[I don't think he'll want to.] Saisho said as his external speakers click as it switched to an audio file.
"Dear diary I've made my decision. After our next training session I'm going to tell Gaara Sensei how I feel, I'm finally going to tell him that I love him. I don't care if he may reject me I have to let him know otherwise I'll always ask myself 'what if?' As a ninja the next mission could be my last. I can't leave something so important up in the air like that. I won't!" said a recording of Matsuri as she wrote her dairy.
"Gaara sensei….." Matsuri said bowing her head tears pouring from her eyes.
"Matsuri!" yelled Gaara making the crying girl snap her head up to look at him.
"Yes Gaara sensei?" Matsuri said preparing herself for the rejection "It wasn't supposed to be this way." She said to herself as the tears began pouring heavily.
"I would never reject you." Gaara said staring the girl in the eye making her smile.
[Aw ain't that sweet? Which leads me to this. Doc!] Barked Saisho making the blood splattered robot jump into the clearing and handed him a vile. [You heard how the girl feels about you so I give you a choice. Either surrender and drink this vile of poison and we let her go or the girl who loves you dies!] he said giving his ultimatum.
"Give me it." Gaara said without hesitation.
"Please don't do it Gaara sensei!" Begged Matsuri trying to get free. "AHHHH!" for her troubles the CHIMERA squeezed a little tighter breaking her arm.
[Tick tock boy!] yelled Saisho.
"Throw it here!" shouted the Godaime Kazekage catching the vile when the robot threw it.
"Gaara please!" cried Matsuri.
"So this is what it is like to be precious to someone. Now I see why Uzumaki is so strong, why he fought so hard that day. And so, to protect you Matsuri I will do what I must." Gaara said downing the vile. "AHHH!" cried Gaara as his skin felt like it was on fire and his chakra coils seize up and cutting the flow to his chakra.
[That poison was made by Sasori tousama especially for Jinchuuriki.] Saisho said signaling for Checkmark to pick up Gaara. [Don't worry it won't kill you, no no no we need you alive. It will just keep you weak until we get what we need. Then you will die, and then if Tousama wants us to. We'll cut your brain out and make you like Captain Yuura here.] he said patting Checkmark's or Yuura's leg.
"Your promise!" Yelled Gaara his eyes panning to a crying Matsuri.
[Don't worry I mean to keep my promises, I don't intend to label my kind liars.] Saisho said snapping his fingers making the CHIMERA drop the girl to the ground.
"GAARA SENSEI!" Yelled Matsuri rushing Saisho intending to free her Sensei.
BANG!
A bullet landed at the girl's feet [DO NOT make me a liar girl!] growled Saisho point his gun at her head.
"Matsuri as your Sensei and Kazekage I order you to stay there!" yelled Gaara.
"H-H-HAI!" Matsuri yelled dropping to her knees.
[Good!] yelled the Boss bot jump on Yuura's shoulder [Fixer tell all remaining forces to withdraw from the battle we got the package!] he yelled at the bot that had jumped into the one eyed CHIMERA's hand.
[Gotcha Boss!] Fixer said going into a meditating state.
[Thank you girl for being the Beauty that conquered the Beast! Oh and tell Kankuro that we'll meet again!] Saisho mocked as the CHIMERAs jumped away.
"GAARA!" cried Matsuri as she watch the machines take away the man she loved.
"Matsuri." Said a clone of Gaara materializing from left over sand.
"Gaara-sensei!" yelled Matsuri hugging the clone only to cry as its arm crumbled.
"Matsuri listen closely." Said the clone.
"Y-yes Sensei!" Nodded the girl.
The clone reach out and brushed Matsuri's cheek it thumb crumbling as it did so. "Thank you for letting me be precious to you." It said leaning and kissing her on the lips before disappearing into the wind.
"Gaara….." whispered Matsuri
"The explosion happened over here Kankuro-sama!" shouted a Suna.
BOOOM!
The dead CHIMERA jump into the area its gun scanning the area "Again they're a step ahead of us!" shouted Kankuro in frustration, although he couldn't help but grin as he saw two more dead CHIMERAs. But the soon faded as he Matsuri looking down at a pile of sand crying.
"Matsuri!?" he yelled jumping from the robot leaving it in a kneeling position. "Where did Gaara go is he still pursuing the last two?" Kankuro said leaning down to the girl's level.
"He's gone" Matsuri said quietly.
"What?" the Puppet Master said feeling dread.
"Its all my fault!" Yelled the girl. "I should have never fell in love with him!" she cried trying to run away only to be stopped as Kankuro grabbed her.
"What are you taking about Matsuri!?" Kankuro demanded before letting her go as he saw her arm.
"I fell in love with Gaara sensei and they used that against him!" Matsuri said dropping to her knees "Those monsters held me hostage and told him that if he didn't surrender that they have one of THOSE kill me!" she yelled pointing at the Robot.
"What was the name of their leader?" Kankuro asked his fist starting to shake in anger.
"He called himself Saisho and said that you and he will meet again." Matsuri said with hatred as she remembered the machine. "We have to get him back Kankuro! Please tell me that were going to get him back!" she cried throwing herself at the Puppet user's chest.
"We'll get him back Matsuri, I promise on my life." Kankuro said to the girl before she passed out from exhaustion. He sighed as a ninja took the girl off his to get her injuries tended to. "Send a hawk to the Leaf Village and inform them of everything that has happened." He ordered a nearby Chunin.
"Even about the Prisoner sir?" asked the Chunin.
"Especially about the Prisoner tell them everything even what he is!" Kankuro snapped. To get Gaara back they needed everything to get their Prisoner to talk.
"Hai sir!" the Chunin said running off to relay the message.
Later at the Leaf Village….
Crash! Bang!
"AAAHHHH! DAMN THIS PAPERWORK!" cried an irate Tsunade throwing her chair out the window. "DAMN YOU NARUTO FOR CONVINCING ME TO TAKE THIS JOB!" she yelled before sighing and summoning another chair from a scroll. "Shizune please get me some sake otherwise the desk is going next." She said rubbing her temples.
"HOKAGE-SAMA!" yelled a woman from the cipher core holding a scroll.
"Oh I swear it better be important otherwise I'm throwing you out the window!" growled Tsunade make everyone in the room sweatdrop.
"You have to see for yourself Hokage-sama." The woman said putting the scroll on the desk. "Suna has been attacked."
"Damnit!" Tsunade said opening up the scroll. "SHIZUNE GET ME JIRAIYA'S TOAD SUMMONING SCROLL NOW!" she shouted at the top of her lungs.
"Yes my lady!" Shizune said quickly grabbing a scroll. "What's happened my lady if it's not too much ask?" the medical nin said nervously.
"The Kazekage has been kidnapped. Suna has a prisoner that may know where the kidnappers might be taking him and no conventional means are working." The Hokage growled as she wrote a letter quickly.
"So are you sending Anko and Ibiki or maybe Inochi?" Shizune asked.
"Their methods won't work against this one, no there's only one persons that can help. And I haven't even met her yet." Tsunade mused to herself.
"And who would be that Tsunade-sama?" asked her assistant.
"Why none other than Naruto's fiancé." Smirked the Hokage seeing Shizune's jaw drop. "Lala Satalin Deviluke is the only person who can literally get inside this prisoner's head."
Back in Suna, Anbu headquarters…
Zzat!
[Oooooh yeeeeaaaaah that's the good stuff.] moaned the robot that had survived being shot by Kankuro.
"Well I guess we could try pleasuring him to talk?" said a Suna integrator removing a pair of jumper cables from the robot.
[Oh if that's the case then you can buff my ass and make it nice and shiny, there a line I've been just dying to use! HAHAHAHAHA!] laughed the bot slapping its knee.
"Yeah that not happening." Deadpanned another interrogator.
[Well then I'm not saying jack until I can say with pride 'BITE MY SHINY METAL ASS!] the robot said turning up its 'nose'.
"What a rude little child" said the voice of an elderly woman as she enter the room.
[Ah it's a walking corpse!] cried the robot pointing at the old woman in fright.
"IS THAT ANYWAY TO TALK TO YOUR GREAT OBAACHAN YOU BUCKET OF BOLTS!?" yelled Chiyo grabbing the bot by the neck.
[Help I'm being attack by a zombie!] as its head whipped back and forth.
"WHAT YOU CALL ME?!" Chiyo screamed bend the robot over her knee.
"Umm you think it's going to talk now?" asked one of the interrogators.
"If it does, its going to spout nothing but madness after this." His partner said sweatdropping at the robot hopping on it one leg trying to get away from the old lady.
"I'm going to teach you some manners!" yelled Chiyo running after the robot.
[How about you bite my unbuffed metal ass!] taunted the robot before sighing [Nope it's not the same.]
"WHAT WAS THAT!?" Chiyo yelled pulling out a paddle.
[OH SHIT!] cried the robot dodging the paddle.
"Well it can't get any weirder" said one of the interrogators.
"You just had to say that didn't you?" asked his partner glaring at him.
And Done!
Well I bet you guys can see what going to happen next.
Oh I got a funny scene in mind involving Naruto and Tsunade. Hehehe I wonder what she'll say once she here how Naruto and Lala first met ;)
