Ch.3 Under the white hood
Kurumi looks at Saburo with her usual sadistic smile, and begins to talk with her.
"So tell me why you look me, are you trying to seduce people by pretending to be me or something, if so you really are a naughty girl"
Saburo takes off her eye patch, but her hair is still obscuring her right eye, and looks at Kurumi with a serious look.
"You know, I joke around a lot, but when it comes to you nightmare…I'm dead serious"
"Oh my how can I respond to that statement"
Saburo moves her hair and shows Kurumi her right eye, which was a silver clock. Saburo then extends her right arm and opens her palm
"Come to me Zelel!"
A silver pocket watch materializes in Saburo's hand. Kurumi gives an impressed look and claps a little.
"Nice attempt REALLY, but it's all wrong first (points at her own clock eye) my clock is gold not silver, second it's my left eye, and finally…"
Kurumi pulls out her two guns.
"ZAPHKIEL!"
She summons her angel Zaphkiel.
"You got the name wrong, but since you went to all this trouble I guess I can show you some of the real me"
Kurumi then places her guns in position to use the seventh bullet Zayin and fires it at Saburo, freezing her in place. Kurumi then walks up to fire a shot point blank in the face.
"Too bad, maybe if you were more like me then you would have lived a little longer"
Before Kurumi fires the shot, Saburo warps out of the way, which surprise Kurumi.
"What the…"
"What were you saying? I couldn't hear you"
Kurumi puts her smile back on as she had placed a past self below the roof of the building, who is now in place to shoot Saburo from behind. As the other Kurumi fires, Saburo pulls out her shotgun and deflects to bullet using the blades, Kurumi is again surprised by Saburo's quick response.
"You're not an ordinary human are you?"
"Good guess, I call my power paradox"
"Paradox?"
"Essentially it's much like your power, except I work with the future rather than the past"
"Interesting do go on"
"To say it simply I can send myself into the past and interact with my past self, don't you remember seeing two of me a second ago?"
Kurumi blantly denies seeing a second Saburo as she is positive that there was no double.
"Of course you don't because the time that she belonged to no longer exists therefore she no longer exists and I retain the memory of our conversation, I then make the necessary adjustments so that I can counter my opponents moves, it makes fighting with me very complicated"
Kurumi applauds Saburo's impressive power, but still gives her unsettling smile to Saburo.
"So all I have to do is use an attack that can't be dodged….wait then how did you break out of the time freeze a second ago?"
"Oh that simple I…."
Before Saburo can finish her sentence Lang appears in front of her still hooded.
"Saburo enough"
Saburo nods her head and puts her shotgun away and warps away. Kurumi then sets her sights on Lang to make up for Saburo leaving.
"So are another naughty child and a boy none the less"
Lang points his lance at Kurumi.
"Stand down nightmare, I don't want to hurt you, I won't do that Shido"
"Oh you're a friend of Shido's?"
"Something like that, but please just leave for now"
Kurumi assumes a thinking position with her guns in hand and then points them at Lang.
"Please I'm begging you, just go"
"ZAPH…"
Lang tosses at Lance at Zaphkiel causing it to dematerialize upon contact with one of the blades. Lang takes advantage of the moment grab Kurumi by her arms and left her up.
"What kind of weapon is that!?"
"I made it… So I didn't have to hurt any spirits especially you"
"What you made that thing?"
Kurumi manages to aim one of her guns at Lang's face and fires one shot, blowing off Lang's head.
"Oh my my finger slipped"
Kurumi breaks out of Langs hands and watches his body fall to the ground, and she then takes notice of his head which was covered with an armored helmet. She walks over and picks up the helmet, and shakes it hoping to see Lang's severed head, and then notices the helmet is empty, shocking her further. Lang's head then fades away as she turns around, and sees his body standing up, and putting a now materialized head back in place.
"What are you?"
Lang takes off the rest of his cloak revealing a humanoid suite of angelic platinum armor looking armor adorned with a mantle shaped like a pair of encased wings.
"Let me spell it out for you"
Lang takes his finger and begins to shape letters of light in the air, he spelled his own name Lang E Reizal, and rearranges the letters to spell Angel Raziel
"So you're an angel, but you're completely sentient"
"I am a human whose soul is bound to this angel, and if you refuse to leave then I have to ask you to help us"
"Help you after I just blew your head off interesting, but why do you need my help clearly you have power -bound-to an angel"
"I will tell you about us everything, but not now, but just know it's for Shido"
Kurumi thinks for a second, but ultimately says yes out of curiosity and boredom (or so she claims).
"But first I would like to know about miss look-a-like if you don't mind, she actually annoys me"
"Funny you should say that, after all she does share your DNA"
"What?"
Kurumi begins to think heavily about Saburo's abilities and decides that the idea doesn't sound that insane.
"Yes Kurumi Tokisaki you have a daughter in the future"
Kurumi actually blushes at the idea at actually having a child with someone.
"Really and who's the father?"
"Take a guess"
Kurumi walks toward the ledge of the roof and looks down at a sleeping Shido.
"How long from now"
"I can't say, please understand"
"Very well, and are you…"
"No I am not"
"One last question, why does she hate DEM so much?"
"You saw her fight Mana huh...because DEM is the reason she was born, the reason I'm like this, and the reason why we're here"
Lang and Kurumi continue the conversation, meanwhile the nightmare Shido is having has lengthed. This time after the unknown spirit smiles at him, Shido looks in front of him and sees Saburo being chocked by a young man wearing black and purple gauntlets and greaves. After waking up again, and sweating from the intensity of the dream, Shido has an unexpected guest in his bed, Kurumi (fully clothed in her casual attire) was laying next to him freaking him out upon notice.
"Kurumi what are you doing in my bed!? No better yet why are you here in the first place?"
"Oh I'm sorry would you have preferred that I be naked?"
Kurumi attempts to strip in front of Shido to get him flustered.
"Please don't do that"
"Oh you're no fun"
Shido calms down and asks what she's really here for.
"That's a secret, but I can say this, something big is happening and all you need to know is that this time I'm on your side"
"On my side for what exactly?"
"Like I said that's a s-e-cret"
Kurumi fades in the shadows leaving Shido ultimately confused, but at the same time he believes her words about helping him. At the unknown location Lang talks with Saburo about their latest ally.
"Kasumi are you sure about recruiting your mother?"
"Yes something unexpected has happened, and we will need her help, thank you for the help brother"
"What no joke or tease from ever jovial sister?"
"Yukio please I'm still shaking from meeting my mother in that way, without your help she would have killed me easily"
"We can't think like that, we're crawling on glass as it is"
The two think about their next move as they wait for Kurumi to return, as they are ready to tell her the story of what they have seen with the intent to erase her memories when they finish their mission.
