PETER'S P.O.V.
" I'm so sorry Derek,"
Peter muttered to his nephew as he gently messed with Derek's hair as Deaton began to prepare for the removal of the Wolfsbane.
" I really am sorry Derek, believe me I really am,"
Peter concluded as Deaton came over and used the scalpel to cut through all of the muscle that Derek had acquired through the years.
The scalpel and the blood was not what go Peter though, what seriously struck Peter Hale almost like a punch to the gut was when there was this loud blood-curdling howl that erupted from Derek's mouth.
And then Derek began to thrash and would have succeeded in probably injuring Deaton if Peter had not been there.
Deaton upon finally finding the place where the Wolfsbane was began to slowly scrape off all of the wolfsbane on Derek's ribs. When Peter accidentally glanced down at Derek's ribs he nearly broke down right then and there.
For both Derek's entire fifth and sixth rib were covered entirely by a black gunk that Peter knew to be the black Wolfsbane. Then Peter nearly lost it right then and here, because Derek did not deserve the black Wolfsbane.
Then that's when everything started getting worse when all of a sudden Derek's eyes opened, revealing the agonizing pain he was in. This very thing caused Peters heart to drop out of his chest right then and there.
Derek had always been a very stubborn person even as a kid which he had gotten from both Peter and Derek's own father as well. This was why when Peter heard the words:
"Uncle Peter make it stop," meant that Derek was in excruciating pain. Immediately Peter grabbed Derek's hand and told him that it would soon be over, and then turned to look at Deaton.
Then Peter mouthed the words "Hurry up" to Deaton and then looked back towards Derek to see his nephew's eyes closed, his face pale, and biting his lip.
" Here bite down on this, or else you may end up biting through your own lip,"
Peter said and then after placing a wet rag in between Derek's teeth returned his gaze to Deaton's process.
As Deaton continued on Peter could feel rather than hear Derek's own tremors of pain as he shook.
2 hours later...
As Deaton finally finished with a long sigh he and Peter walked out into the office area of Deaton's. as Deaton sat down exhausted Peter looked expectantly at Deaton expecting a response to Derek's own condition. And also he was expecting to hear on the topic about how and if he'd heal before the moon.
" Derek will heal fully before the full moon, but even so Derek will still have the scar of me having to cut him open for a few years."
Deaton said to Peter as he wiped his brow with the back of his hand, and then he being Deaton continued on,
"Derek will be completely fine, even better than fine."
At this sentence Peter just simply sighs and nearly drops down in tears of happiness.
