Ch.9 Holy binds
At the rooftops Yukio prepares to engage Ellen in combat, but waits for Ellen to attack first.
"(Come on Ellen make your move)"
Ellen decides to engage her territory to hold Yukio in place to gauge the extent of his power.
"Try to break out of this (And show me some of your power)"
Yukio places his finger around the territory and tries to find a weak spot, but cannot find one.
"I'm impressed but this is nothing"
Yukio slashes through the territory with his lance, but as he stares at Ellen he notices that his body has become heavier for some reason.
"(What I'm feeling…suffocated)"
"What's wrong feeling winded already?"
Yukio tries to regain his composure, as Ellen readies to attack someone shoots from above Origami ready for combat.
"(Origami, damn it she wasn't part of the plan)"
The shots cause a panic in the streets below causing the people to flee in terror. Origami lands in front of Yukio and asks him who he's affiliated with.
"Who are allied with?"
"No one I only do this to protect Shido Itsuka my name is Lang E Reizal"
"Protect Shido…alright consider us allies for the time"
"(No I can't let her get involved as well)"
Ellen waits for a second and charges with her sword at Origami only for Origami to be knocked out of the way by Lang. Ellen's blade pierces his armor, and much to his surprise blood drips from the his armor.
"What…the"
"Hmm it would seem your armor is just like paper before my blade too bad"
Lang looks at Origami and tells her something.
"Origami Tobiichi listen look for a girl named Saburo Komyoji you'll find her around the area and just tell her that Lang sent you"
"Why?"
"Just do it now!"
Origami flees following his advice since she can see he's about to use a powerful attack.
"(Great now I have involve her, maybe we should never have come here)"
Yukio then raises his lance to the sky and summons a glyph forms below his feet, and his cape stands up resembling angel wings; the glyph completely covers the roof and traps Ellen in place.
"Struggle against these holy chains!"
The glyph begins absorbing immeasurable light particles and is about to discharge.
"Shinning Bind!"
As he shouts the name of his attack the glyph erupts with energy resembling a geyser of light. The attack knocked out Ellen as well as greatly injuring her while Yukio passes out for some reason; the fight was a draw, but hours later Ellen was the first to wake up.
"Hmm now I'll take him to the director"
Ellen picks up Yukio's unconscious body and flies away. Back to the third fight Mana against Rosa which was at its conclusion as well, the end result was Mana as the victor having severed Rosa's left arm and leg.
"You bitch you bitch!"
"You lost accept it"
"Never, you'll have to kill me to keep me down!"
"Wow what did they do to you?"
"Nothing I just can't stand you I worked for my power I didn't just get operated on like you I trained like hell to get to my level of strength"
"So you believe your hard work should earn you prestige and acknowledgment; while that isn't wrong I'm that isn't always the truth"
"What do you know…just finish me"
Mana exits her combat form.
"No"
Mana walks away while Rosa screams at her to finish it. Mana managed to win without any major injuries do to Rosa's weakened state and makes her way to the usual spot. At the location Kasumi is only one to be back, and the two only talk about the mission.
"So Kasumi how'd it go?"
"I killed my opponent, and you?"
"She's alive I assume, but I crippled her; any word from the others"
"No not yet"
The two try to wait through the awkward silence, but amazingly Kasumi tries to start a conversation.
"So did you see my dad?"
"No but he was on his way to go grocery shopping when I stopped Rosa"
"In my time my dad would always make hamburger steak once a week for me it's my favorite dish of his, and he always bought the meat on the day he made it to surprise me"
"Really what's Yukio's favorite dish?"
"Well actually he prefers mom's homemade chicken curry, but she's not the best cook"
"Seriously, well I don't mean to pry but who is my brother's wife?"
"I don't know if I should tell you"
"Come on if you're going to erase my memories why not tell me"
"Well okay but you can't tell Yukio I told you"
"Deal"
"Our mom is…"
Before Kasumi can answer they hear something being dropped outside the building. They both look outside and see Kurumi on the ground unconscious and covered in injuries. Kasumi runs to pick her up.
(Note the unknown location is actually an apartment across town away from Shido's own home)
"Mom are you okay? Mom, Mom!"
Kurumi was still breathing fine, Kasumi looks in the sky and sees Alice in combat form holding Shido under one of her arms, Alice's combat form was identical to Ellens only she had gold combat parts, and she had a gold visor on her face.
"I believe that belongs to you, and you're lucky I happen to care about the timelines delicate nature or else I would have finished her"
"Put my dad down Alice!"
"No change of plans I'm not interested in killing you at the moment, my father wants that suit of armor and YOUR father for an experiment"
"Westcott's here?"
"Yes my father arrived earlier today, haven't you noticed something missing from your so called base of operations"
Kasumi then has a sudden thought, and runs back inside and notices the shroud with Manami in it is missing.
"A little insurance to make sure that armor cooperates with us"
Alice flies away with Shido still under her arm leaving Kasumi to attempt to chase her only to be held by Mana.
"Let me go!"
"You can't beat them by yourself we need help"
"No let me go!"
Kasumi attempts to summon Zelel but Mana knocks her out before she can.
"I'm sorry Kasumi but we need to think about our next move"
Mana picks Kasumi up to take her inside when Origami shows up having seen Alice while searching for Saburo.
"Mana is that person with you Saburo Komyoji by any chance?"
"Origami, Yeah actually but why are you here?"
"Lang sent me but are you working with these people now?"
"Yeah and we need help at the moment"
Mana tells Origami the rough details but not the future details.
"So will you help?"
"If Shido is in danger then you don't need to ask"
"Good but first we need these two to rest first"
Mana and Origami carry Kurumi and Kasumi inside to rest. Later at night Yukio wakes up in chair he is strapped to and looks to see Westcott and Ellen staring at him.
"Where am I?"
Ellen responds to his question.
"You're at our current base of operations, so cooperate and you will not be injured further"
"Injure… me? But I'm…"
Yukio looks at his arm which is now flesh.
"What but how!?"
"Your armor may have been weak but it was a hassle to remove"
Westcott joins in on the conversation.
"Hmm not a bad job Ellen really nice work"
"Thank you sir"
"What the hell are you two blabbering about?"
Westcott puts on his usual smile and shows Yukio a piece of paper.
"And what is this?
"This? This is a paternity test I took using your blood, my blood, and Ellen's, and you know what it was positive"
(Note Westcott noticed the uncanny resemblance between him and Yukio with Ellen's colors)
"Huh!?"
"Yup although I'm amazed you're alive because knowing future me I would assume he tossed you in the garbage as soon as he saw you"
"Sir I'm sorry I could not conceive a second daughter for you, for that I am truly sorry"
"Nah don't sweat it after all I have something in mind for this son of ours"
Yukio reacts with horror to this information he just received.
"(The man who ruined so many lives, the man who caused my aunts death, and the man who orchestrated Manami's attack…Is my biological father) Nononononononono!"
"Guess that was quite a shock to his psyche not that it's a bad thing"
Westcott leaves the room to check up on his other captives while Ellen is in charge of watching Yukio who is in a catatonic state from learning the truth. In a different room Shido is being held in a cell being watched by a crippled Rosa who is being confined to a wheelchair. He was awake and confused by his sudden abduction, but is not surprised by Westcott's involvement.
"You again what are you planning this time? You're not going to make Tohka turn again are you!?"
"What me no, that was a failure but this time I plan on success with this plan, but don't worry I didn't kidnap anyone you know…yet"
"What's that supposed to mean!?"
"Oh you'll see"
Westcott exits this room with Shido yelling at him for answers which he shrugs off with a smile, and the final room was being guarded by Alice. This room held a pod in it with a liquid meant to restore damaged tissue that Alice developed herself to aid with seriously injured wizards. The person inside was Manami because Westcott had a very special plan for her in mind.
"Father may I ask what are you planning with this child?"
"Alice your daddy is planning to a very special experiment with this one but for now I'll use that young man in my next idea"
"I look forward to your success father"
In Yukio's room Ellen tries to start a conversation with him.
"Yukio Itsuka such a common name for one of such pedigree"
"Yeah and would you name me?"
"Had I been in charge of your upbringing I would have named you Ivan Malcom Mathers"
"Really if that's what it would have been then I'm glad the Kirishima's found me in garbage"
"….I'm sorry"
"Whatever Ellen"
"Yukio could call me mom just once?"
"You don't deserve it, let me just make my feelings to you clear"
"And how do you view me?"
"What I see you as under the best of circumstances is mewling hellhound on leash taking orders from a madman"
"I see"
"I will never consider you or that devil as my parents in any way possible, my birth parents are the Kirishima's, and my real parents are the Itsuka's"
Ellen turns around and even puts on a somewhat sad look, and leaves to get a drink of water. Westcott rejoins Yukio and gets ready to start his plans for his biological son.
