Ch.12 Ultimate inverse
Westcott was surrounded by his enemies, but they kept at bay due to his hostage who he held at gunpoint. He checks his watch while humming a song to himself until everyone hears the alarm downstairs followed by the sounds of footsteps coming up the stairs. When the veil is seen by Kasumi she immediately reacts with shock.
"(No he isn't!)"
The sound was Manami, Shido's second daughter from the future who was fully recovered thanks to Alice's treatment, and she was wearing her astral dress. Her first reaction to seeing Shido was to run to hug him.
"Daddy!"
As she starts walking Westcott smirks and fires his gun shooting Shido point blank in the head, causing the girl to stop dead in her tracks and put's on a look of both shock and horror. Kasumi reacts hastily and stops time to throw her father into Zelel's time restore ability, but her reaction wasn't fast enough to stop Manami's screaming for her daddy. Due to her shock she closes her eyes and cannot see that Shido was okay now, this caused the unthinkable to happen to Kasumi since Manami was a fully fledged spirit she could go inverse, which is exactly what as the roof in engulfed by a massive black cloud bigger than any she had seen. Before the cloud can clear Kasumi shouts to everyone.
"Run we've gotta run!"
Kasumi tries to pick up Yukio's body, but he wakes up on his own and stands up with a blank look on his face.
"You're awake we gotta run now!"
Yukio looks at her with his blank expression.
"Who am I?"
He extends his arm and picks Kasumi up by the collar, Kasumi looks at Miku as if to queue her to start singing, but due to the shock she can't no one can even move due to the shock of the moment. As the cloud finally dissipates they now see a grown woman standing on the roof, her dress was black with dark blue trim, her veil was now gone, her eyes dark blue, and her hair glowed like an aurora completely obscuring her defining features from her parents. She looked at her father and walked over to him, Westcott backed away knowing the danger she posed, Manami gets closer to Shido and kneels down to get closer, then she hugs him
"Daddy your okay…I'm so glad, I'm so glad!"
Manami starts crying over the incident, while Shido looks utterly confused since no one told him about his future.
"Um who are exactly?"
"Daddy it's me your little Manami"
"Little you seem too tall to be little to me"
"So you don't remember me?"
"I'm sorry I don't"
"So the bad man made you forget me…."
Manami begins to emit an aura that causes everyone to become nervous.
"That's okay because I'll make this into a world just like in the fairy tales you read to me, then you'll remember me"
Shido looks around and notices the parallels to his nightmare as Manami ascends into the sky and just like the dream she begins causing destruction all over, but fortunately thanks to the fireworks from earlier the people evacuated. Just like the dream the spirit now revealed to be Manami looks down at her daddy with a warm smile.
"All for you daddy"
Kasumi breaks out of Yukio's hold and shouts again for everyone to flee, which they all do. Manami looks down with a scared look.
"No they can't leave yet Lucifuge go get my daddy please!"
(Lucifuge is the name of the inverse form of Raziel in this case)
Yukio extends his arms again and this time he takes on an entirely new form, this time he took the form of an ebony black suit of armor with red trim and his angelic winged cape now resembled wing spines, and he pulls out an unexpected weapon, Inverse Tohka's Nehemah.
"Yes Milady"
Yukio begins walking down the stairs to chase after the others, Westcott was still on the roof and orders Ellen to his side.
"Yes director"
"Can you handle her?"
"Yes at once"
Ellen rushes to Manami to attack her, but with a simple flick of her wrist Ellen falls to the ground with a spinal injury without ever being touched. Manami looks at the two and puts on her own smile.
"If I'm going to build a kingdom then I need a jester and maid"
Downstairs the group are stopped by the now turned Yukio in his demon king form. Shido immediately recognizes the sword from before, and Kasumi becomes even more afraid since she knows what's going on. Miku finally begins singing which to some extent actually snaps Yukio out of his trance for a moment just for him to say.
"You've gotta run….Manami..she isn't doing this on purpose don't be mad at her"
He maintains control just long enough for everyone to flee, and while they see the horrible destruction, from behind they see the DEM building being rebuilt into what appeared to be a castle composed of various jewels and metals. After many hours of finding a place to hide, the time had come for the last thing Kasumi wanted to do, tell her dad about the future, and about Manami's obscene amount of power. The rough explination was.
"Manami is so powerful because when she born, she inherited a sizeable portion of the spirit's power inside of dad"
Shido asks how much.
"80% she has currently has the power of roughly 5 inverse spirits"
The sound of that number brings everyone to shock, because they now have to stop what is possibly the most powerful spirit anyone has ever seen, and the numbers weren't in their favor. Back at the newly formed palace, Manami wasn't pleased about her knight's failure.
"You failed to get my daddy back!?"
"I'm sorry I shall try again lady Manami"
"Fine I'm a patient girl"
Manami snaps her fingers and Ellen enter her chamber with a diamond tray with cake and milk on it, Manami has Ellen wearing a gold maid outfit. Rosa was placed into a duegon upon being thawed and was plotting her revenge. But at the moment there was no plan, and all anyone could do was think and wait
