Chapter 09 Getting used to your husband's hobbies

The next morning after the ball the Princess woke up early and decided to go for a swim together before the breakfast buffet was served. Surprisingly their knights were even earlier up, had their breakfast and were ready and waiting to escort them wherever the Princesses felt light. Blossom got dressed in a pink bathing suit she found stuffed behind the wardrobe, Bubbles got into a blue bathing suit, Buttercup and Bunny dressed in a black diving suite. As they each had a thin natural looking summer dress over (with nothing fancy what so ever) they walked outside towards the royal gardens with the knights a few paces behind them. Bubbles looked behind her and saw Boomer looked quite sad, the same with all the other guy's. Something was heavy on their minds.
"Hey guy's is it just me? Or do the Rowdyruffboy's seem… sad?" Bubbles asked.
Buttercup looked behind her and saw that Boomer just blew into his handkerchief, all the boy's hearts really did seem to be blue, so filled with sadness. What could have happened to make them so sad?
"Yeah… but why?" Buttercup asked confused.
"Well if we are quiet we can ear drop into their discussion," Bunny advised them.
All the Princesses nodded as they listened to what the knights were talking about.
"I can't believe it is in only 2 week's away before the wedding, what are we going to do? We will be out of our jobs faster than the speed of light. Our father will never forgive us for failing in this job too," Boomer said.
"Boomer, we will just return to England and carry on protecting the nation as best as we can. There is nothing else we can do," Brick said.
"I agree, but so far nothing bad has happened yet, isn't it Butch?" Bruiser asked him.
But Butch didn't say a word, he was carefully scanning the area waiting for something to happen, suddenly his protector instincts kicked in. He could tell that an arrow was about to fly towards them.
"Brick calculate quickly 70 MPH times 2 miles." Butch quickly called out.
"Um… 140 miles, why Butch?" Brick asked confused.
Everybody saw his eyes were glued as he saw something small and black shooting towards their highnesses, Butch looked quickly around and saw the shields that were placed at random around the trees.
"Rowdyruff's, each grabs quickly a shield and place it ASAP in front of their Highnesses," Butch shouted so fast whiles running quickly to the shields.
The Rowdyruffboy's knew if Butch gave an order it had to be followed without asking, Boomer grabbed the blue shield, Brick had a red one, Butch a green one and Bruiser had a violet one, quickly they each pulled the princesses back and placed the shield ASAP in front of them, right on time, because 2 white arrows who were fired just hit the shield which could have been Bubbles and Buttercup's legs.
"W… what the? Where did they come from? And thank you, Butch, for coming up with the rescue so quickly," Bubbles said a bit scared.
"From over there, let's find out what that was all about," Butch said.
The Princesses each nodded, Butch and Boomer pulled the arrows out and placed the shields back, suddenly out of the castle came Prince Dexter, Prince Cody, Prince Mitch and Prince Alex to see what was going on.
"Are you all ok?" Prince Cody asked the Princesses.
"OK? NO, YOUR GUARD SECURITY IS SO POOR THAT IF BUTCH HADN'T NOTICED AN ARROW COMING DIRECTLY TOWARDS THE PRINCESSES THEY COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED, WHAT WERE YOU DUM HEADS THINKING!" Boomer to the shock of everybody screamed at the Princes.
"Manners Sir Boomer, you are only a knight, nothing more worth then the common pig, but if it is a bow and arrow then it means that maybe he has come to visit us, we did send him an invite," Prince Dexter said.
"Hu? Who?" Princess Buttercup asked.
"Come, we'll introduce him to you. Could you knights get the carrier it is a long walk from here to them," Prince Alex said.
The carriage to the Rowdyruffboy's horror was nothing but a long piece of wood with 8 chairs placed on top of them, all the Princesses had to sit in them with the Princes on their other side. Luckily 4 other knights from the Prince's service came to help, Butch and Bruiser with 2 other knights at the back and Brick and Boomer with the other two knights in the front, together as a team of 8 they carried them to the area where the arrows were being fired. As they arrived they found a woman about the same age as the Princesses, dressed in a white dress, had pure white hair and gray eyes as well, she had about 5 guards with her, the Prince who was the same age as the Rowdyruffboy's had white hair as well, but light gray eyes, dough they were both white, both the Princess and the Prince could see as clear as glass out of both eyes.
"And one, two, three… fire." The white man said.
He let his arrow fly and it hit the target square in the centre. Brick, Boomer, Butch, Bruiser, Blossom, Bubbles, Buttercup and Bunny all applauded for the impressive archery skills the two had. The Prince's just looked at them a bit mad.
"Why, Prince Ben, Princess Bell, you weren't expected until tomorrow evening, welcome to our kingdom," Prince Dexter said welcoming the pair.
"Why thank you, Prince Dexter, Prince Cody, Prince Mitch and Prince Alex, I would like all of you to meet my future Queen, my best friend since we have been children, Princess Bell the beautiful. We are planning on having our wedding on the same day as you 4 my friends," Prince Ben said.
Blossom, Bubbles, Buttercup and Bunny all admired Bell for her beauty, they then bowed before them, Bell shook each of their hands and then noticed the 4 other men standing tall and proud a few feet from the Princesses keeping everything in view.
"My name is Princess Bell, are you 4 the invited Princesses?" Bell asked the Princesses.
"Yes we are, my name is Princess Blossom, I'm going to be the future wife to Prince Dexter, my slightly older sister the brunet one is Princess Bunny, the little bit older than me is Princess Buttercup and the youngest of us 4 is Princess Bubbles. It is a great honour to meet you. I think I speak for all of us if we can be friends," Princess Blossom said.
"Why of course we can. I'm proud to call all of you as part of my family too," Princess Bell said.
"As do I," Prince Ben said as well.
The Princesses and Princes shake each other's hands, Sir Bruiser looked at his pocket watch, it was nothing fancy, just in black which he napped from a butler in the palace. It showed it was now 2 P.M so by his calculations 14:00 o'clock, time for their activities to start.
"I'm sorry to interrupt your conversation's your highnesses, but the Princesses were told that they were going to do something with you today if we are not mistaken?" Sir Brick pointed out.
"True, have you ever gone to a private Zoo?" Prince Cody asked them.
"No. What is a Zoo?" Blossom asked.
"A Zoo is where people can see loads of rare, special and dangerous to us humans of animals, we have one not too far from here, we can get there by the coach. Is that fine with everybody?" Prince Dexter explained and then asked them.
"Sure." The Princesses answered.
The Rowdyruffboy's nodded and everybody loaded into the coach, again the Rowdyruffboy's drove the coach with 2 black horses. All the Rowdyruffboy's growled under their breath as they saw the Princes lift the Princesses on their lap's, feel under their dresses and then kiss them on their mouth, Buttercup and Bunny punched their Prince's in the mouth and Blossom and Bubbles pulled them off them through their hair. The Princes were so furious that they were hurt that way. Queen Bell and King Ben just shook their heads, the Princes were all to the lovey, doves for their tastes. The trip took them threw some wonders of their Kingdome, but the Princesses didn't admire any of them. As they reached the private Zoo to the Rowdyruffboy's horror all the animals were let loss on each other. Oh great.
"Um, I don't mean to be rude your highness, but who is supposed to look out for the well-being of the animals?" Boomer asked.
"Actually the Zookeeper should look out, where is he? Sam," The Princes explained and then called out.
But this guy Sam wasn't found. As Butch got into an anaconda enclosure he noticed how incredibly fat it was. On the side was a pair of boots as well as a normal zoo feeders clothes. Butch calculated what must have happened. Since all the animals looked famished he came to a conclusion.
Sam there Zookeeper must have been feeding the anaconda and as he was teasing it with a mouse the anaconda had about enough of him and swallowed the man howl before he could even scream for help. That must have happened a few years ago, this man wasn't even noticed by his family that he didn't come home for dinner. How odd.
"Guy's over here, this guy Sam has been eaten by the anaconda, so it looks like the zoo needs a new zookeeper," Butch explained.
"Ok, Butch you take care of capturing the animals and bringing them back, Boomer clean up the animal dung, Brick get some more food for them and I'll inform the family of Sam," Bruiser ordered.
The Rowdyruffboy's nodded in agreement and did exactly that, the family were a bit pleased to know where Sam was now, as Bruiser returned from the family he found another man called Christopher, he used to be working with the animals in a circus, but was fired as he decided to settle down here in the town and not move on with the circus, so Christopher agreed to become the new zookeeper. The Princesses agreed to help too as well as the Princes and everybody started with placing the animals back into their enclosures after that Butch broke open the food room where all the food for the various animals were being kept and everybody went to a different animal to feed them. Before that the Princes and Princesses dressed in old working outfits so that their dresses won't get dirty.
Blossom and Prince Dexter fed the Tigers, Brick made sure they wouldn't get to close, as well the Tiger mother has given birth to a baby tiger cup, Blossom was permitted to feed the cup from the bottle since the mother wasn't producing any milk she was so hungry, Blossom must agree that this was so far one of the best highlight's of her own life.
Princess Bubbles pulled Prince Cody by his arm and they ran over to the Petting Zoo, the goats, sheep, ducks and various other tame animals all were filthy and smelling horrible, so first Bubbles gave all of them a bath before feeding them all until they were full. Boomer smiled and loved it how caring Bubbles was to everybody, but Cody didn't seem to notice her kind and pleasant heart.
Princess Buttercup, Prince Mitch and Sir Butch went across to the amazon house with various rats, insects and small bugs, inside the hot amazon house they found at least 4 snakes, 2 crocodiles, parrots, spiders of all sorts and as well as a nest of eggs of all the animals, carefully as to not get bitten they fed all of them, Buttercup was having loads of fun feeding the crocodile and she even threw in a live goat, the crocodile showed off his well-known drown-strangle technique and after the goat dead ate it all up, Buttercup applauded it was really impressive. Mitch didn't show much interest instead he freaked out as a spider landed on his head, he ran out of the Amazon house faster than Buttercup could stop him.
Bunny, Bruiser and Alex went over to the seals who didn't even gave a noise from them, quickly the 3 checked them over, they feed them hundreds of fish, after eating at least 20 of them the seals all cheered for them and made loads of tricks just to get more food than before, it was a lot of fun for the 3. Now Sir Bruiser understood that Bunny was truly an animal lover, but Prince Alex doesn't share her love for animals as suddenly one of the seals jumped-up and gave him a wet seals kiss. Bunny chuckled it was so sweet.
Last Queen Bell and King Ben walked to the penguin enclosure; they had a mucky bucket of fish and walked to the Penguins, they just looked up and as they threw a few fish into the murky pond they went back to what they were doing before, nothing. So Queen Bell picked all of them up and feed them by hand and King Ben cleaned up that enclosure as well as giving the Penguin clean nests for their baby's, as that was finished they were a lot happier and swam now smiling in the clean water that the two switched over.
After they took care of all the animals all the Princesses, Knights, Princes and Queen Bell, as well as King Ben, meet back up in the Zoo's restaurant which surprisingly was still running.
"I can't believe the animals were left in those disgusting conditions, we need to find a new Zookeeper fast before they famish away again," Bubbles said.
"I agree your highness, is somebody in your Kingdome good with animals?" Sir Bruiser asked the Princes.
"Yes actually, Henry Rifled, he used to look after our own animals before we sent them to their natural habitats, he could help us," Prince Mitch said.
So everybody left, Brick and Boomer were ordered to protect the Zoo from intruders whiles the others would get Henry. As he was informed about the conditions he quickly took over the zoo for them and looked after it. The reason why the Zoo was doing so bad was that the charity on which the Zoo was based on has closed down, so without the money the Zoo couldn't stay open any longer. But thanks to their help the Zoo had a new chance at living again. Quickly the Princesses set up their own animal protection charity up and raise within 2 hours about 20 million pounds, the howl nation of Japan was happy that the Princesses were so animal-friendly and helped keep their valuable zoo open. After the Zoo adventure, the Princes decided to a surprise dinner party.
For that everybody returned to the palest. The Princes ordered the Rowdyruff brothers to escort the Princesses back to their bedroom and dress in a nice evening gown for the surprise ball. The knights themselves should dress in their smartest suites they could get. This ball is promised to be the surprise rise for their royal highnesses. But Prince Cody was feeling a little unwell, he doesn't want Bubbles to fall in love, how can he bring his friends to leave the Princesses and actually have a chance at finding somebody that they can actually truly love with all their heart?
