Magical-stuck: The Real Karkat

In the small wooded area of Libeth, death streaks were at an all time high. The cause of the death were unknown amongst the general investigations and polices that were scattered about the area. The deaths usually involved the handicapped. Crippled at the waist down, and blind. The town was known for their high death penalty. Known for the blind. And the crippled. But the causes of the deaths were completely new. Social media would create horrid accusations of the cause, usually involving a young girl who wanted to rid the world of cripples. She would kill using a shotgun pointed to the eyes or the legs- or even the heart.

The accusations were true. He knew they were. It made sense. He would listen to the those who walked by her place - an abandoned factory overrun with spiders. They would see hallucinations as they were forcefully brought into the factory, and blindly attempted suicide.

"The attempts stopped." They would say, "the hallucinations were gone. Everything was normal."

He went one day to investigate, his soul gem brightly showing him the way. He followed the small stream of light of the labyrinth formed around him. Spider webs fell around the corners, replacing the deteriorating engines. Large spiders and minions traced the walls, their one eye watching him.

He was close.

Loud cackling could be heard from down a spider web-like fence that took up the entire hallway. He frowned, transformed, and sealed off the area from any enemies.

The witch had it's arms crossed as he entered the room, hiding in the darkening shadows. He snapped his fingers, and ten sickles appeared before him. The two red gleaming eyes squinted harshly at them. Handle facing the user, he took the weapon and threw it into the darkness.

...

Cackling once more, the creature emerged from the shadows with six more eyes blinking at him, coming at him.

He took two sickles, tossed one into the air, and kicked the weapon into one of the creatures eyes. The eye burst into a fiery flame then vanished. The creature went ballistic.

A hand came down on him. The sickles crushed under her fist. Blood filled her palm and she cackled. The blood boiled, slithering up the arm and leaving a trail of silver sickles in its wake. The blood built up again and his form appeared. He whipped out a long chain with his weapon attached to the ends. He swung the chains at the eyes and pulled them down with him as he jumped off the shoulder of the creature. A loud screech let loose by the monster as it was tugged down. Smoke filled the room as it landed. The eyes burst and turned red, bubbly, as it slid through the cracks in the floor.

"Dave? Fucking hell I know your here!" You held the grief seed up to the light after you knocked on your friends apartment door. The center inscription was of a spider with a wide toothy smile. You grimaced, then pressed the seed to your darkening gem. You heard footsteps and a slam before the door swung open. A tall, lanky but with some muscle boy stand before you. In his magical boy outfit no doubt.

"Hey babe~" he smirked. You scowled.

Dave Strider was a close friend of your other really close friend. After your other friend disappeared, you and him - after really awkward situations and a lot of yelling - you became close as well. Dave was a time traveler. When ever he wasn't at school - which was a lot - he either was time traveling or skipping school to practice his swordsmanship with his "Bro". And even though you disagreed highly, he thought he was cool. Like, annoyingly, ironically cool.

"Where did you go this time? Condy? You keep going to that one." You asked, walking past him and entering the dirt-filled living room. You let out a exaggerated sigh, grabbed the near-by broom, and began sweeping.

"Well...yeah. I kinda have to. I have a friend over there. Her names Meenah."

You stopped sweeping. Dave meeting another girl. You didn't know where to place your eyes.

"And cuz'." He walked over the pile of dirt and pressed his front to your back. You flushed. "There's something really wrong in that timeline."

You looked up at him, "what now?"

"There's another you."

You froze. Your heart beat sped up. There wasn't suppose to be another you. Something was wrong. Horribly wrong.

"...it really is that witch bitch...she's up to something..." You watched the ground. Dave had just come from that timeline. What else did he see?

"We have to head over their soon. With the others as well."

You finished sweeping. You took the dustpan and swept up the dirt, dumping the contents into the trash. The others; which consisted of only Eridan, Sollux, Gamzee and Tavros. All six of you went around fighting the walking witches that infested your town. When you arrived two years ago, Dave and John Egbert were the only one fighting. After you joined them, a ferocious battle occurred, and John disappeared. You remembered seeing Dave kneeling and staring at the black clouds that filled that sky they fought under. You clenched the broom at the memory.

"Okay. Enough with that sad look on your face. You miss me didn't you?" He pressed his lips to the back of your neck. You flinched and swung the broom at him in irritation.

"Dick!"

"What?"

"..." You had the bristles up at him, his stoic, emotionless face facing you, the shaded glasses hiding his true visage. You put down the broom as he took your hand and lifted it to his lips. You flushed. He did this when he made you irritated. He told you one night when you were crying helplessly in a corner that night after John's disappearance that you and him were each other's comfort. If both were lit and blasted like time-bombs, the other would take the blast willingly. This relationship scared you. It wasn't what you had with John...

Even though John was gone...you decided to move on. You loved him. And so did Dave. But you decided the best thing to do was to move on. Even if he miraculously to appear before again. You moved on as soon as Dave had first pressed his lips playfully against yours. That night John left you and him to fight all the witches that roamed the streets of your small town. Even though John was gone, he told you both to love each other. And never let go. You cried, Dave cried, and you displayed that weird sprout of love before the witch that destroyed what you had.

You took a step closer to Dave. He put his arm around you as he pressed more sweet kisses to your hand, trailing down your wrist and arm to your elbow, stopping to look at you over the rim of his glasses. You took a deep breath and nodded. He smiled honestly, placing his hand at his neck. You ran your fingers through his white-blond hair as he pressed hot kisses to your neck. You let out small moans.

"Dave...did you see him? What is he like?"

Dave stopped, leaving a small bruise at your nape. He stood up straight, hands at your waist and his glasses placed on his shirt collar.

"He's different. Plenty different from you..." He pressed his forehead to yours. "He's going to do something horrible to the girls. Lead them into some sort-of trap."

You were breathing helplessly. You pressed your forehead to his chest, "why can't we just stop him now?"

Dave was silent for a while. You looked up at him, he lips a straight line and his eyes fierce. You placed your arms around him and squeezed.

"I'll kick his ass...whatever he is," you stated, trying to lighten the mood.

You felt the warmth leave you as he stepped away and smirked at your frown, "then get ready, we're leaving tonight."
