By the school's side entrance

"Hey Jack, here comes your cheer squad. You better entertain them former Duel King," said a ginger-haired boy coming off from his Duel Runner.

"Would you quit your blabbering and shut up mate," retorted an annoyed Jack as he comes off his runner. "And last I checked, my bloody 'cheer squad', as you so ineptly put, always carries a flag with my face on it. And also, I am still the academy's King of the Cards," beaming proudly at his self-proclaimed title.

"Sure you are," answered the ginger-haired boy as he rolls his eyes, "and I'm the King of Games. Everyone knows Yusei's the academy's top duelist since beating you last term at the annual closing ceremony, ain't that right Yus?"

"Stop it Crow, we're going to be late for classes at this rate and we still have a mob to escape from," answered Yusei from his runner while checking his cards.

"Why not let Crow handle this one. He's the reason why were in this mess in the first place," said Jack.

"So now it's my fault we're going to be attacked by a frenzy of high-school girls first thing in the morning. If you weren't taking your little time drinking coffee and woke me up, this wouldn't have happened in the first place," accused Crow.

"Drinking coffee is the best way to start a man's day my feathered friend. Besides, you were the one who stayed up late last night watching reruns of an old comedy show on Yusei's laptop."

"Crow, Jack, enough already. Playing the blame game isn't helping our situation at all. Let's just run inside and hide inside the janitor's closet for the time being; just until those girls give up on us. Agreed?" suggested Yusei.

"I'm cool with that man," answered Crow.

"Jack?"

"Fine, but I still say we let Crow handle this one," replied Jack.

"We better start running before they get us," said Yusei as the three of them started running inside the building.

Inside a classroom

"Here we are Aki, this is where we start our homeroom class," said Carly to her short-haired friend.

"It's bigger than I imagined," answered Aki, scanning the room. It's built like an audience hall so that everyone can see and hear the professor. Kinda reminds her of a musical hall.

"You're here early Carly. Usually you go with the mob to take pictures of The Enforcers for the school paper or is it for your personal collection?" said a silky voice from behind them.

They turned around to look at the owner of the voice. As the two girls turned around, they were face to face with a stunning beauty. She has alluring light blue eyes, has a gem tied between the parting of her long black her, just at the center of her forehead. She's wearing two necklaces, one for a fashion statement and the other more of a personal item. She's wearing high heels and the same red blazer as them but is showing of a bit of her cleavage due to not buttoning them all the way.

"Oh, it's just you Misty. I'm saving up my film for today's opening duel. Aren't you supposed to host that? You should already be in along flowing gown by now" asked Carly.

"I am. I just thought I'd drop by here first to clear my thoughts first," answered Misty before looking at Akiza with enthusiasm. "Who's your new friend Carly?"

"I almost forgot, Misty this is Akiza. She's new here. First day starting at the academy," introduced Carly.

"Hi there. Are you a transfer student Akiza?" asked Misty.

"No. Actually this is my first time going to school. I was mostly homeschooled before I asked my parents to let me attend a normal school," answered Aki.

"Wait, you didn't tell me that this was your first time going to school," cried a surprised Carly.

"You didn't ask."

Misty was looking at Aki up and down, looking at her interestingly before speaking.

"Seems like I now have competition for the title of Academy's Queen," said Misty playfully.

"Wha-? No. I mean, I'm not attractive like you are Misty," answered Akiza embarrassingly.

"Unless you've lived your whole entire life without looking at a mirror can that even be true hon. Besides, I'm pretty sure you were ogled by some of the academy boys before coming here right?" said Misty knowingly.

"Yeah Akiza, they were practically drooling at you. I thought they were going to faint after seeing you and that chest of yours," butted Carly.

Akiza was flushing red from what they said to her. She never thought of herself as beautiful. Her parents were the only ones who call her that.

"Carly," said Misty, deadly calm, "you didn't do what I think you did right?"

"Uhmm, she said they were natural," answered a sweating Carly.

Misty pulled her by the ear and began telling her off.

"You should know better than to intrude into someone's personal space," said Misty exasperatingly before turning to look at Aki. "Sorry about that Akiza, she's usually like that whenever she sees girls with, uhmm, more gifts than her. She's just feeling insecure with herself like always."

"O-okay," looking at the now struggling Carly, "by the way Misty, where's the ladies' room at? I want to tidy up first for my first day here."

"Just go straight down the hallway you guys walked through before coming here then take a left. Then take the second corridor on the right. It's by the staircase, you can't miss it."

"Thanks Misty," I said as I left them messing around in the hall room.

Janitor's closet

"Are they gone now Yusei?" asked Crow.

"Yeah, I can't hear them anymore," Yusei answered back.

"So they're gone, now, can you two get off of me before you guys dirty my precious uniform!" shouted Jack as he pushed them off of him and out of the camped up closet.

"Next time, say please before you push us off and for the record Jack, last I checked, it's supposed to be a blue blazer, not a white one," answered Crow as he was picking himself up on the floor.

"I don't see anything wrong with it," said Jack, "I'm Jack Atlas for crying out loud and nobody tells me what to do. Besides, blue isn't really my color. It makes me look sad and depressing."

"Maybe that's because you are sad and depressing to look at," retorted Crow.

"Say that again why don't you, you pea brain!" Jack said menacingly.

"Enough you two, you've been arguing ever since we came back from visiting Martha and the Kids," said Yusei, "I'll see you guys both at the duel ceremony. I'll head off first to the restroom to wash my hands."

He then turned to leave them both at their bickering, wishing to have some peace and quiet before the duel. Little did he know that his morning is about to get a little more interesting because of a chance encounter with a certain red-haired girl.
