Prologue
Birdkit's Pov
"Come on Birdkit, lets play warriors" Fernkit squealed and scrambled over to her sister, "you could be a fox and I'll be the warrior, ok"
"ok, but you better be careful because I'm going to take you down" squeaked Birdkit and then leaped on her sister and they rolled around in the dust making every one in the clearing pelt dirty, and that ended every one hissing at them as they went past.
"I got you down" meowed Fernkit and then started boasting about her victory, I know I could hit her side with my hind leg and then I could pin her down so then Birdkit did what she thought by kicking her sister with her hind leg and then quick as a flash got up and sliced her sister throat but she did not realize what she had done until her mother screamed out " FERNKIT " and then she saw what damage she had done to her own sister.
There was blood seeping out of her throat and to prove she did it, she had blood all over her paws. She started walking away to her and her sister's hideout and hid in it she leaned against the wall of moss looking for the tunnel that was an escape route she found it and she accidently fell into the hole. The tunnel led to a hollow of log inside a rock, pretty weird right?
What have I done!
Fernkit's Pov
I jumped on my sister and pinned her down she can't get out of my grip now but I was wrong she kicked my side and she winded me she jumped up but instead of pinning me she sliced my throat, it felt like fire was touching my throat for my whole life.
I screamed and fell to the ground even with my blurry vision I saw my sister look at me in terror and run behind the nursery into our hideout I hoped she would still be there when I get better wait let me rephrase that, if I get better. I heard my mother scream my name before I blacked out the last thing I knew was something soothing touching my throat . . .
