Izinski's kitchen
Aki POV
I could already smell my mom's spaghetti even before I enter the kitchen. She had already placed it on the table with a glass of my favorite flavored shake: strawberry. Taking a seat, I start eating through my lunch, not realizing that I was quite famished until I finished it all and asked my mom for seconds. She gladly obliged, stopping in whatever she was doing to pick my plate up and add another helping onto it.
"Hey mom, maybe we could go shopping for some clothes this coming Saturday," I told her as I took a ship of my shake.
"But we just bought you some a month ago," her mom replied.
"Yeah but most of them are getting a little tight around my chest," I said to her embarrassingly.
"Oh Aki dear, I think all the strawberries that you take goes to your chest," her mom said playfully.
"Mom, strawberries don't make my chest big," I said to her defensively, crossing my arms over my chest.
"I know dear but I sometimes wonder how well-endowed you are for your age. I mean, I was never like that and I can't remember any girls from my time like that as well. Your generation is surely blessed. You'll easily find yourself a husband at this rate," mom teased as she took a seat across the table and waited for my answer.
"I already told you mom that I don't want a husband and it's not my fault my generation has bigger bust sizes than those in your time," I talked back.
"Let's stop talking about sizes now; you're making this middle-aged woman feel jealous.
"Fine mom but you started it," I retorted.
"So Aki dear, made any friends yet?"
"I made two new friends. They're a little bit weird but they're nice and fun people to be with," I said to her, thinking about Misty and Carly.
"That's great. I've always been worried that you'll grow up a loner. So now, tell me, who's the boy you got the hots for?" mother asked persistently.
"Mother, I told you that there's no one," I said exasperatingly, trying to fight back the blush that's creeping up my face.
"Okay then my little rose, I won't force you to tell if you're not ready but I can see it in your eyes that there's something. Just try not to scare the poor boy away," she spoke like a teenage girl.
"Mom! There is no boy!" I shouted before running back upstairs. Before being out of earshot, I hear her say 'my daughter's in denial'.
Poppo time
Yusei POV
"For the last time Crow, didn't see Misty naked and if I did I wouldn't tell you," I said to my ginger-haired friend.
"Oh come on Yus. I know you saw something. Why else would you be unconscious for almost an hour?" Crow said, his eyes pleading.
"I agree with Crow, Yus," said a blond-haired boy.
"See, even Jack wants to know what Misty's bod looks like, though he already has a girlfriend," said Crow.
"I'm not interested in your perverted delusions you imbecile. I want to know why Yusei's been knocked out for so long. And Carly is not my girlfriend," huffed Jack.
"Aha! So I am right that there's something going on between you and Carly," teased Crow. Jack didn't bother answering him but instead looked straight at me, boring his eyes into me for answers.
"Like I said, I fainted when I saw Misty half-naked but that's it. As far as I can tell nothing else happened," I said to him, returning his own stare.
"Can't remember anything strange or unusual?"
"Asides from the scent of strawberries, nothing else," I told him.
"Come to think of it, I did smell strawberries but Misty doesn't wear that kind of scent," butted Crow.
"Hey Yusei, how about your dreams? You must at least have dreamed something after all. It might hold some clues," Jack stated.
"Well, I did remember this strange dream about kissing this girl. Then I felt that I woke up and I was still kissing her," I said to them, not bothering to tell every single detail.
"What was this girl like if I may ask?"
"She has short magenta hair, hazel-brown eyes and was wearing the Duel Academy uniform with a pink choker and necklace. Come to think of it, I bumped into a girl like that this morning," I said.
"Is she pretty? Big chest? Nice butt? Has curves?" Crow butted in yet again.
"Crow try being serious for once. Now Yusei, this girl is the same one that you told us earlier that might have your Stardust right?" Jack intervened.
"Yeah, I think so. The face in my dream is a bit blurry but I think it's her," I said to him.
"Maybe your dream isn't a dream mate. I heard from Misty that she was going to introduce you to a friend of hers," replied Jack.
"Doubt it. I mean, why would she kiss me. We hardly know each other besides the bumping accident. Why would you think that she has a connection to my fainting," I asked him.
"Think about it, a beautiful girl kissing you until your lights out, that seems to be the case here," said Jack.
"Look, all I know is that I fainted because of Misty. About the girl, I still have to swap our cards back assuming she has it and I could find her," I said to him impatiently.
"Alright then, but I think it's better that you also as her if she knows Misty then maybe we can know what really happened," Jack said.
"He's right Yus. We're just worried. After all, you've been stressed out and not getting enough sleep," interjected Crow.
"I know that guys. But I think that she's not involved in it. And even if she was in the room, she wouldn't be caught dead kissing me. She's too innocent in my point of view," I said to them.
"Alright then, now that's been cleared out of the way, I think I deserve a cup of Blue Eyes Mountain coffee for my troubles," Jack said, walking away from us.
"Oi, you still owe me a day's free whatever-I-want coupon for the bet," called Crow to the retreating figure.
"That doesn't count!" Jack shouted as Crow began to stand up and pester him about it.
I try to relax my mind, reviewing what happened. Hiding in the janitor's closet, bumping into a girl, losing Stardust, Misty sitting on me and her little show and that strange dream; that sounds about all of them I think. I touched my lips, wondering if it really was a dream.
"For some strange reason, I could somehow remember the taste of strawberry when I woke up. But that's a dream right? A girl like that wouldn't fall for me. Shame, I kinda like her," I thought, smiling of the thought that one day she could be my girlfriend. I guess being friends with her isn't so bad, that is, if I could find her tomorrow and she wants to.
He stood up and began clearing away his tools from his worktable to continue working on the new engine for their runners.
