School bus

Aki POV

"So Akiza, why do you have Yusei's card?" Luna repeated. My mind was still blank. I don't know is it's because of the possibility Luna knows about my little crush on Yusei or because of her accusing eyes.

"They accidentally swapped cards Luna," Carly stepped in. Luckily, what she said was true.

"Is that so?" said Luna, still not convinced.

"Yes Luna. We accidentally bumped into each other on the way to the restrooms by the stairs. Then our cards got scattered on the floor. That must have been when we swapped cards because I'm also missing my card Black Rose Dragon," I explained to her, thankful that I was able to get my mind straight.

"I see. Sorry that I doubted you Akiza. Many of Yusei's fangirls do anything just to have a moment with him," said Luna apologetically.

"It's alright Luna. You're just looking out for Yusei. Don't worry, I'm not one of those girls," I said. I'm much, much more than that.

I heard Carly snicker from beside me as I saw Luna suddenly plopped down back to her seat. I can already hear the bus coming to a stop and I looked out the window. My second day here is about to start.

School Entrance

Aki POV

After getting off the bus and saying goodbye to the twins, we headed straight for the academy building. Looking straight, I see no sign of the mob from yesterday. Does this mean that Yusei and the guys haven't arrived yet? I asked Carly about it.

"Jackie and Crow are always late for their classes. Yusei on the other hand arrives earlier than most students so maybe he's already in the library or something," Carly droned.

As we walked past the other students, I suddenly feel the eyes of the guys there staring at me. I caught their eyes staring either at my bust or my butt. Good thing I wear shorts under my skirt. A little wind and they'll get a free show from us girls. If there's any boy that deserves one, it's my Yusei from yours truly.

Hall room

Normal POV

They both entered the room and already found someone there. It was none other than their good old friend Misty. She waved the newly arrived girls over to her.

"Got any more stares from the guys Aki?" Misty mused.

"They were practically drooling over me. Is that what I was like with Yusei?" Akiza asked.

"No, you're much worse," chimed Carly. Aki's shoulders drooped from hearing this.

"Don't worry Aki. I'm sure Yusei will be drooling over you soon. Mind you, he has better control than you so breaking him in isn't easy though you did a good job yesterday," teased Misty.

"I still can't believe what you did to Yusei even if it was to partner him up with me," Akiza retorted.

"So, you didn't like your kiss then," Misty continued teasing.

"I didn't like how you were practically stealing him from me," Aki said, crossing her arms.

"If that was the case, I would've made him mine by now," Misty said coolly. Akiza's body was trembling from that statement.

"Misty, you shouldn't be provoking her like this. You remembered what happened," Carly said, getting in between us to defuse the tension.

"Please Carly, if I was provoking Aki here, it would be me kissing Yusei in front of her," Misty continued, adding fuel to the fire.

Just as Akiza was about to lunge at her, a voice suddenly washed through the tension away though, not in a polite manner.

"What the bloody hell did you call me for Misty? I was in the middle of my morning coffee ritual," said an irritated voice.

"Oh, hey Jack," Misty perked, "good that you came. This is Akiza, the one I was supposed to introduce to Yusei yesterday."

Aki POV

Jack gave me quick look over before speaking in an irritated tone. I see Carly from the corner of my eye taking pictures.

"So you're her huh? You must be the one that bumped into my friend since he described you with magenta hair and all," Jack stated, taking a seat. I just gave him a quick nod. Misty looked at me, thinking 'what was that all about?' before speaking.

"Jack, her name's Akiza. It's her first time going to regular school since she was homeschooled. Akiza, this is Jack though Carly should've mentioned him by now to you," introduced Misty.

"First time huh? Just what are you, the daughter of a king or a yakuza?" Jack rudely commented. I'm starting to like him less and less. How Yusei can put up with a friend like this and how could Carly even like him, I don't know?

"For your information, I'm the daughter of Senator Hideo Izinski," I shot back, deciding to play the daddy card. He just sat there, amused at my attempt to scare him.

"Like that makes me scared. The three of us, Yusei, Crow and the great Jack Atlas, grew up in the slums, fending for ourselves, trying to get by every single day, hungry and thirsty before being taken in by our foster mother. We spent almost our whole lives dueling our way out of there, from bullies to gangs even to Sector Security. Living in a place where your life is always at risk, we learned to trust no one but ourselves and our friends. If you must know, Yusei had it rough out of the three of us; charging head on by himself and getting in constant trouble. He spent two weeks in the Facility just for stepping foot in the city and got his mark. After getting released, he changed, for better or worse. If you think that having a senator as a dad could scare me then, you're dead wrong about that," Jack stated angrily.

I don't know what to think. They're all incredibly strong or amazingly lucky to get out of there in one piece. I know that Satellite is not the best place to live but to think that they have to go through that, especially Yusei, I'm dumbfounded.

"Jackie, you don't have to be hard on Akiza, she's not like any of those snobby bratty rich girls," Carly reasoned, hoping Jack would understand. He stood up and began walking away but not before asking one last question.

"I'm not going to ask about the card since I'm sure you're planning on getting yours back as well but did you kiss Yusei? He told us that he had a dream of kissing a girl with magenta hair and felt like blacking out. So, was that you?" Jack questioned.

"I made her leave with Carly Jack since Yusei was unconscious," Misty intervened.

"I'm asking her not you Tredwell!" retorted Jack angrily.

"No, I wasn't. Like Misty said, Carly and I left," I lied to him, following Misty's lead.

"For your sake, I hope that was the truth. Yusei had a bad life. He deserves to be happy at the very least," Jack said before finally walking away, leaving me crushed that I may have ruined my chance to be with Yusei for what I did.
