Sydney: Hi! How are you people who have managed to read up to this point? Wow, I finally made it to chapter 16. That's a first.
Roxas: Actually it's been a first since chapter 6. Can't believe you made it this far.
Sydney: I know but still! This is becoming weird. Anyways moving on! Sora actually gets something right in this chapter!
Roxas: Yes but we aren't telling you what he's right about. Sydney does not own anything.
Chapter 16: Sora was right?!
"We should probably head back to Hogwarts sometime soon. The Yule Ball will be coming up soon." I stated from the couch Roxas and I were currently sitting upside down on. Donald was in the control room, protecting it from the two of us. Goofy and Sora were currently in the middle of a practice fight against each other.
"I guess you're right. We have to go back there eventually. You are part of the tournament and if there isn't the fifth champion, how could they continue?" Roxas said as he moved to sit right side up.
"Don't remind me about that! When we get there, I'll be forced to find a date to that stupid ball and wear a stupid dress." I stated as I moved my hands over my eyes.
"If you need a date, you'll have me." He stated with a smile on his face before getting up and moving towards the control deck to tell Donald the plan.
"Man, you got it bad!" Sora stated once Roxas was completely out of view. Once he said that, I moved so that I was sitting right side up. I noticed that Sora and Goofy had stop fighting.
"What do you mean by that?" I asked as I tapped Goofy out and summoned my daggers. Once he was ready, I started to attack.
"You are in love with Roxas. No point in denying it." Sora said as I used one of my daggers to deflect his attack as the other one was used to slash at his face. He leaned back, attempting to miss my attack which landed a cut on his cheek.
"What makes you think that I'm in love with him?" I asked as I jumped back from him and fell to the floor as he tried to slice me with the keyblade. While he was temporarily distracted, I crawled in between his legs and swung my foot out to knock him off balance.
"Because when you look at him or talk to him, you only see him. When you feel scared or frightened, you want to run to him and have him hold you until you felt safe. When something amazing happens, you want him to be the first to know. Overall, he makes you feel special and happy. Things you may not have experienced before and might be afraid of." Sora explain as he quickly got to his feet and defended himself against my fury of attacks. For once, I didn't know what to say so I grabbed one of the metal bars on the roof and aimed myself to slid perfectly in between his legs. Once I actually slid and was on the other side of him, I kicked at his kneecaps, causing him to drop to the floor. He managed to flip over so he could look at me before I managed to pin him to the floor and hold one of my daggers at his throat.
"Don't kill him. He only speaks the truth." Goofy said from the couch before I got off of Sora. I held my hand out for him to grab.
"If it makes you feel any better, he feels the exact same way." Sora said as he grabbed my hand and pulled himself up. Once he was up, him and Goofy started talking about something. Realizing that I was standing there like an idiot, I made my way to my room. Did I really feel like that around Roxas? When I do talk to him, I do tend to just talk to him but then again, Sora and them weren't really around us that much. When I get scared, I latch on to the closest thing and that tends to be Roxas. Roxas was typically the first person I would tell about things that made me general happy. The one thing that made me wonder is the fact that Sora said that Roxas felt the same. But that was impossible! Roxas was Sora's nobody. He didn't have a heart and was not capable of having emotions, only imitating the emotions Sora experienced. What if Roxas had his own heart now? He could have gained one since him and Sora didn't become one but I wasn't sure.
"Hey Sydney, we're landing soon!" Roxas said outside my bedroom door and I sighed.
"Where have you guys been?" I heard Ronald ask once we appeared in the courtyard. I turned around to see him and Harry rushing towards us.
"Hi Harry, Ron. What's new?" I asked them as I dusted some of the dust off my uniform. It has been a while since we wore these things.
"What's new? The fact that you guys disappeared right after the first task. Nobody knew what happened to you guys." Ron said, adding a whole dramatic tone to it.
"Sorry, we had some other places to be. Other people to be saved, new storylines to be destroyed." Roxas stated as we started walking towards the common room.
"The Yule Ball is tomorrow night." Ron said as we walked.
"Is it? That means that we didn't miss it. Somehow we have excellent timing." I said to Sora and Roxas, seeing as how Goofy and Donald left us.
"Awe, that means that all the girls are gone!" Sora whined just as we entered the common room. It was strangely filled with people.
"Hey! Look who came back! Our fifth champion and the other two!" Fred yelled and everyone in the room turned to look at us. I didn't know what to do (there is a first time for everything) so I stood there awkwardly with Sora and Roxas by my sides. For a moment, it was quiet then everyone started clapping and screaming. I looked back at Harry to see that he was smiling. Probably because he wasn't the center of attention for once. As time went on and people stopped talking about us, Sora, Roxas, Harry, Ron, Hermione and I were sitting on the couches in front of the fireplace.
"Why do people get so happy when we return? Its very annoying." Sora asked and I could feel the rest of us sigh at his question.
"So where did you guys go when you left?" Hermione asked trying to get the conversation off of Sora's stupid questions.
"The North Pole then Sydney and I went London. Sydney almost got kill for like the tenth time since we met." Roxas said and we all just laughed at the last part of Roxas' statement.
"Hey! I'm not that bad! Donald and Goofy are worse." I said as I tried to defend myself.
"Of course you aren't but then again, it is you we're talking about." Ron stated and we all just started laughing.
"So which one of these two are you taking to the ball Sydney?" Hermione asked me as she pointed towards Roxas and Sora.
"I would take Harry. He's probably much more interesting that either of these two." I said. Sora and Roxas protested to my statement and Harry started telling me that he already had a date. Ron, Hermione and I were just laughing at their response.
"Okay, in all reality, I would be taking Roxas. Sora might just tag along on one of your dates." I said in all seriousness.
"I'm going to head to be now, night guys." Sora said before getting up and heading towards the guys' room. Harry and Ron followed shortly after. Once Ron and Harry were gone, Hermione decided to do some homework before going to bed so she moved to a table in the back of the room. There were only a few people left in the common room that night.
"So you would actually take me to the dance?" Roxas said as he pulled my legs up so they could rest in his lap. My back was leaning against the back of the armrest on the other side of the couch so I was becoming very comfortable.
"Yeah. If I went with Sora, I would have him asking me a bunch of dumb questions." I stated. Along with him telling me all about how I was in love with Roxas. I thought to myself.
"So you wanted to have a normal conversation rather than a head pounding one? That seems very reasonable." Roxas said as he looked over at me with that smile of his.
"Exactly what I was thinking!" I stated. No, not exactly. You just wanted to hear him talk about anything and then hopefully make a move on him. My brain told me and I felt like shoving a pillow in front of my face to stop my brain from getting oxygen.
"So I get to have the very first dance with my favorite champion? " Roxas asked and I felt blood rush to my cheeks, causing a slight blush.
"Yes, yes you do." I said as I looked up at his blue eyes.
"Who said that it was going to be you?" He asked and I gasped and lend back in shock and pretend sadness.
"What?" I asked and he smiled up at me before we started laughing.
"So I do get to dance the night away with you." He said and I started to giggle… Since when did I giggle?
"Sorry, but I think you might have to share me with Sora, Donald and Goofy." I said as I moved forward to sit cross-legged on the couch.
"Well that's a shame, guess I have to make our dances and time together even more special." Roxas said as he looked over at me. His eyes were just so amazing and captivating that I didn't even notice that I started to lean in. When I realized this, I also realized that he was also leaning in. Our foreheads touched a few seconds later and our lips were going to touch but then a sound of a book dropping made us jump apart. I looked at where the noise came from to realize that Hermione dropped one of her books off of her table. She looked over at us and smirked when she saw the blush that was on my face.
"So I'm going to bed now. I'll see you in the morning." I told Roxas as I jumped up from the couch and started heading towards my dorm. He waved and I saw Hermione moving to sit next to him. I got to my dorm and changed as quickly as I could. I crawled into bed and my brain kept thinking about that almost kiss with Roxas. God, Sora was right for once! I was in love with Roxas.
