Being on patrol meant to also stick close to places to hide easily for Dib. They already lost several of their people, including Zita. Every one of them tried so hard to retrieve them back, but the onslaught from the Irken's ground crew and air crew meant they had to abandon them. Dib hated it. After each day or night, he'd end up talking to Gaz. He had to see his sister and speak to her. Her attitude was horribly course and she was ruthless, but he did enjoy the tiny moments she allowed in stepping back from her cruel nature to speak to him. To make him feel like she mattered to him. Her attitude of only wanting to keep the intelligent life and waste the idiots was extremely callous. True, they were incredible morons not to believe him about Zim in the first place.
Well who is laughing now? He thought emptily.
He thought it was good to have Gaz be the way she was because in a way she understood Zim's own nature better then anyone, including himself. That in itself was frightening to think upon. Gaz never cared for personal relationships. She shunned them at every turn.
Dib shuddered at a thought that hit him too quickly. Zim wanted to kiss her. When he thought back on it, Zim always looked at her with respect along with fear in his eyes. Oh, he better not be attracted to her. No, Gaz would kill him.
"Dib. I see movement coming our way." Whispered Brian.
Dib glanced in the direction that Brian was indicating seeing a person walking into the area who appeared out of it before collapsing on the ground. "Cover me." Dib ordered as he slowly made his way in as a few others flanked him. Dib had his gun ready in case this was a trap as he approached. It possibly was a male, and as he got closer he halted at the sight that was bestowed on them. He had a horrible feeling at the pit of his stomach as the male stood up making the others that were with him wonder what the hell it was.
"Frankenstiens monster." Roy breathed out as he started walking backwards.
Dib heard the sound of more footsteps approaching. They were steady ones as they came in full view. This was Zim's handy work. "Fall back! It's a trap!" Dib didn't have the heart to shoot them even as they came running after them. They are one of them. Crunching his eyebrows practically together in hurried thought, he heard the sound of a weapon firing downing one of zombie-like men down. "No." He breathed out as he kept walking back.
"Dib! What are you doing? Their attacking us!" Brian called out as he continued fighting.
"Their one of us." Dib only said.
"Not anymore. Would you want to live like this?"
Squeezing his eyes together, he had to butt one in the head with the handle of his weapon before firing it off. Brian had a point. Even Gaz would say the same thing. Zim turned them into something else. Biting his lip, he continued fighting only stopping when one fell to its knees. One with an exposed face where you could see bone. Dib recognized the face. It was a sickening sight.
Torques mouth opened up wide releasing a recording that was done in, Zim's voice. "This message is for Dib Membrane. You may of won this round, but I will find you and I will win. Know that this isn't over. Sincerely, Zim."
"Go to hell, Zim. You won't win." Dib stated as he watched Torque's life drain out of him from a fired shot. Bowing his head down, he begged for forgiveness before departing.
Gaz was sitting at the table next to Gretchen while she was drinking some water. Gaz noted her stunned into silence expression since the news that her friend was taken. Gaz also observed that while she was stunned, she was far more takable as she spouted off some interesting things or the most sarcastic stuff. She also saw how observant she was prompting, Gaz to nudge her.
"Time to train you a little more." Gaz informed her. "You need to survive."
"You think of me as a pain in the ass." She blurted out.
"You became a more takable pain in the ass, though." Gaz honestly said as she stood up. "This doesn't mean I give approval of you laying in Dib's bed naked though."
Gretchen smiled before snorting. "I think he's gay."
"I'll tell you the honest truth there. He isn't. He just has a lot on his plate so he wants to remain focused. Having that attachment will make him lose it. It is bad enough he worries about me when I'm out there." Gaz hated when she did this. She hated opening up just a little. It made it feel like the spiders inside were escaping. "As I said I want to train you more. I'll do it tomorrow if your up for it." She nods her agreement to it. "Good, see you at 7am then."
After Gaz went and made her hasty exit to her room, she was already inside when Dib bursted through panting. He stumbled up to her grabbing her arms. "Zim converted humans into zombies to come and attack us. Had to kill them. Hated it. He gave a message stating: This message is for Dib Membrane. You may of won this round, but I will find you and I will win. Know that this isn't over. Sincerely, Zim."
"You had to kill them."
He nodded.
"It was horrible for you."
He nodded again as he placed his head on her shoulder. "I don't want to do that again."
"Did you want them to live like that for the rest of their lives?" Gaz asked as she tried to comfort him by patting his back.
"Never."
Gaz forced him to look at her. "Then you did correct. I'm sorry, but I would never want to live like that. You had to make a choice."
"Oh Gaz, when will this stop?" Dib groaned out.
"I don't know, but it is time for my patrol." Walking to her closet she grabbed a coat.
Grabbing her arms, Dib pleaded with her. "Please be careful."
"Don't worry, Dib. I'm going for some supplies that we need. Get some rest." Gaz patted him on the shoulder on her way out of the room.
The stupid hospitals were a no go for her since they were being patrolled heavily by Irkens. Annoyed, she ventured over to a school instead. It was a middle school so at first she wandered to the cafeteria, and found some cans she placed it in her pack. Pursing her lips, she decided the nurses office might be a good place to find something.
Roaming into the room, it was clear as she passed the desk. There was no supplies behind the desk or anything useful in the cabinet behind i. Wandering into the area past the curtain, she spotted a large cabinet past the first bed. Testing the lock she saw it was locked, but with all cabinets of this structure they were always easy to pick. Undoing it, she found a virtual haven of supplies in there as she quickly placed them in her bag. Being stuffed, she zipped it up, and hissed grabbing her taser to attack, but instantly found herself on the bed.
Kicking up at him, she found his damn pak legs coming out faster then she had ever seen before as they wrapped around her arms and legs. Gritting her teeth, she glared up at him as he still stood at the foot of the bed. Gaz was truly sickened with herself for not hearing him beforehand.
"Did your brother love my new and improved humans?" Zim mocked.
"Well I'm glad you improved on calling us humans and not hyoomans because that was insanely stupid." Gaz spat back as she simply laid there like before when he had her in the woods.
"Oh little Gaz. You think you are so clever." His expression was mostly unreadable, but his tone was full of sarcastic pride. "I wonder what you think my plans are for you are. Care to venture a guess?"
Gaz didn't care just as long as she was able to tear him apart one way or another. "Want to turn me into one of those creations of yours?"
A sideways smile formed on his face as he went to straddle her. "Never. Your brother more then likely. You though." Presses himself into her. "I have different plans for."
Gaz maintained her composure as she felt him pressing against her. "I thought you liked those freaky girls to do this with."
"Oh that was mean of you, little Gaz. Tossing me to them like that again." Coming closer, he sniffed her hair while pressing more against her.
Turning her face away from him, she refused to look at him, but she did smile wickedly. "I kept getting so much monetary love from them each time I did that. You had no idea how perfect you were for me. You excited them so much."
Whispering close to her ear, he asked, "What else excites you?" Runs his tongue over her earlobe.
Gaz's jaw clenched at the feeling of his tongue. She balled her fist up as he kept grinding against her. "Power and destruction."
Grazing his teeth against her neck, he continued this torture. "Same here. What else?"
"I want to feel your blood running down against my skin, Zim." Gaz breathed out. "But I have a feeling I will save you for last."
Running his hands down, he placed his hands on her hips hoping to guide her. Break her. Her eyes were looking in so many areas of the room except for him. Zim wanted to know what she was truly thinking as he continued his actions. Moving close again, he whispered. "No one will disturb us while we are in here."
Her insides were shaking now. She felt needles running throughout her entire body. She wanted to cut them both up. She wanted nothing but murder now. Gaz quickly turned her face to him and met his mouth feeling his heated kiss with hers while she started to move along with him. She'll be drawing blood after this. Who that will be, she didn't know yet as she shamelessly found herself moaning inside his mouth and him whispering who ever knows what in his own language.
Zim was now embracing her as he took in her scent. She was returning his affections back making him almost release her. She already tricked him before. Zim heard whimpering below him making him open his eyes to watch tears flowing out her eyes. He pulled back examining her.
"No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no... I don't want this. I don't ever want this. Get off me. I don't want this kind of stuff ever." Gaz wanted to push him back, but her arms weren't free so she continued trying to worm herself away from him. "Let me go."
Zim released her hands and legs. He was perplexed because of how disturbed she looked. Was this about him? Gaz kicked him off of her making her stumble off the bed. "Gaz?"
Gaz was breathing hard, she was starting to hyperventilate as she stumbled forward towards him. She saw his hand reaching out to steady her, but she grabbed her pack to pick it up and swing it up at him to knock him down as a tear streamed down her face. "Don't ever do that to me again, Zim. No one is allowed to touch me." She grated out. Hearing Irkens and humans alike fighting in the hallway, she ran to the window slinging the backpack over her as she went, grabbing a chair and tossing it at the window as hard as possible.
"Gaz."
She didn't spare him a look, she needed to leave. Placing a foot on the window sill, she was in such a rush she didn't pay attention to the large piece of glass that went through her boot. Gaz did feel the prick, but didn't care as she quickly called the others after dropping out the window to leave. She wasn't even aware of Zim peering at the broken glass with her blood on it. Knowing how his own kind were. Knowing what he would of done with such a sample. He got rid of the evidence while providing a bigger welt on him with the desk by pounding his head into it. They'll ask questions on why he let her go. He refused to take her when she was like that.
Gaz finally met up with her guys as she pretended nothing was wrong though she felt her shoe filling up with blood. Occasionally she would glance to the ground behind her to see if she was trailing anything, but so far nothing. Reaching their hide-out, she started to limp a little as they entered. She sighed when Dib took one glance at her. Great, big brother worry face, she thought.
"Gaz. There's blood." Gretchen pointed out as she indicated her footprint.
Worry in 1-2-3.
"Gaz! What happened?" Dib came running to her side.
Sliding the pack off her, she handed it to him. "Just my foot. Nothing else. Medical supplies and only three cans of food."
He hated when she acted nonchalant about her own self as he openly glared at her, tossed the pack to the person who was in charge of handling their medical, and lifted her up in his arms. She can kill him later.
"Fuck, Dib. Put me down. I can walk." Gaz hit him on his arm. "Ugh you know I hate this."
"Whiner." Dib ignored the pain in his arm as he went into their medical unit to place her on the table immediately taking her boot off, and seeing the blood on her foot and the inside. Playing with the sole, he made a comment about needing to get her more shoes.
"No one has my size in here." Gaz grumbled watching the guy approach to inspect her foot. Pulling it away. "No."
Dib glanced over at him a lot more gently. "I'll do it, she doesn't like anyone touching her." Waiting for him to leave, he pulled over a stool and flashlight to inspect her foot. "You know as tough as you act, you sometimes still act like a little baby, Gaz."
"I just hate people touching me. Is that so wrong?" Relaxing to allow him to work, she leaned back trusting him to do a good job at least.
"What happened?"
"I met a piece of glass that didn't like me finally." Came her flippant reply, feeling him jab her she narrowed her eyes. "Jerk."
"I'll get you a new pair of boots since I know your size. I don't want you leaving here until you are fully healed. You got me?" Dib heard her cursing him under her breath making him jab her again. "Got me?" He added with more force.
Snarling almost like an animal, she said, "Fine!"
"Will you tell me what happened out there?" Gaz glanced away indicating she absolutely had no need to speak. "Fine. Just know that I do care." Grabbing the gauze, he wrapped up her foot. "We'll change this again soon. Please don't go back out there." Dib hated it when she acted this way, so he decided to force it out of her by lifting her back up into his arms to carry her to her room.
"Shit. Fine! I won't until I'm better. Put me down, Dib." She hated it when he treated her like this. She hated everyone's eyes on her as he walked her to her room, plopping her down on her bed without a care as he stood there with his hands on his hips. "I just don't feel like talking about it right now, okay Dib. Is that fine with you? Can you understand this?"
"But when you are ready, you will talk to me?" Seeing her nod, he crouched down in front of her. "We are all we have. You understand? I know I annoy you. I know you wanted to kill me in the past, but I know you understand I will do everything for you." Standing back up, he let out a deep sigh. "I'll leave you be for now. Night Gaz."
It was 2 am when Gaz slipped into Dib's room and slid down the wall to sit beside his mattress. She shook her head noticing him having his glasses still on. "Dib."
Snorting a bit as he opened his eyes up a slit, he pulled her into bed next to her like they were when they were young kids. "Gaz? You okay?"
"Can I ask you a personal question before I tell you about today?"
"Yeah, ask me anything you want."
Playing with the hem of her sweats, she glanced down at her injured foot. "Have you ever had sex with anyone?"
Of all the questions he thought she would ask, that wasn't one of them. Clearing his throat, he seemed embarrassed to answer. "Uh yeah. Once. A long time ago."
"Who? You can tell me anything." Dib kept readjusting himself in front of her finally making her pinch him. "Seriously, Dib."
"Grade school." He mumbled out the name so low, but Gaz already knew.
"You sure that is what you did with her? You were young after all."
"Seriously, Gaz it isn't that hard. Insert slot A into slot B and friction happens."
Gaz giggled at his explanation. "Hey, not laughing at you having it, I just can't believe how big of a nerd you are to explain it in that way. How in the screwing hell, did you manage to get Tak to do that?"
His jaw widened wishing to deny it, but he breathed out. "It was probably because she wanted info on, Zim. Who the hell knows?"
"Rest assured she hated him far worse then you."
Poking her gently, he asked, "What happened to you?"
"I have a feeling you'll get mad. You'll become brother-dearest on me thinking I can't protect myself all of a sudden." Feeling a throb in her foot, she pinched the bridge of her nose to distract herself.
"Am I that bad?"
Gaz thought he looked like a hurt little puppy right now as he stared at her. "The phrase, stay away from my sister, has been uttered way too many times for my liking."
"This has to do with Zim huh?"
Spit it out, she repeated in her head. "He located me in the nurses office, he put me on the bed, he dry humped me, spoke to me, I responded, and I kissed him."
Dib felt like he went deaf all of a sudden. The world went more quiet more still then before. She, what? With who? Dib felt heat pass through his body as anger took over. He felt like keeping her in her room to keep her safe.
"I feel what your thinking, Dib and let me remind you what Tak was planning with Earth, but you don't see me getting angry at you." Gaz pointed out.
Dib's eyes were wide. "Why. Did. You. Kiss. Him?"
"I-I don't know. I just know I got upset, he saw that I got upset and how I protested it. He let me get up. I started to hyperventilate, and when he looked distracted I hit him with my pack, smashed the window. That's why my foot is hurt. To avoid his soldiers out in the hall." Shaking her foot around, she was truly angry with herself. "No lectures, Dib."
"Are you... Are you attracted to him, Gaz?"
"No. I'm confused why it happened. As I said I don't want any type of relationships whatsoever."
"I never understood why you never did. Could you enlighten me at least." Dib begged.
She leveled her gaze to his, she wanted him to understand. "I don't feel it within me at all, Dib. I just don't give a crap about those type of emotions."
"Even emotions to your own brother when he annoys you?"
"Dib I know something about you that I'm sure you have no clue that I don't know because I was way too young. It has been something that has kept me from truly pummeling your ass whenever you got incredibly annoying. Be lucky you have ever said it and actually kept carrying it out." Gaz decided it was time to go back to her bedroom. "Sorry I woke you. Night."
Dib wondered what the hell he said that made her stop all that. He was glad of it, but now he was really curious. Also he was very concerned after what she told him what Zim did. It was most likely just to get to him more then anything since he never saw any true interest from Zim before when it came to his sister.
I do enjoy the small brotherly-sisterly moments and how Dib kinda explains sex. For some reason I picture him explaining it like that to her.
