Sydney: Two chapters in one day.I feel very happy now. Instead of being social with my parents, I am hiding in a dark basement where nobody can see me.
Roxas: Yes and she is watching Gilmore Girls because there is nothing better to do.
Sydney: Stupid, there is nothing on and we don't have netflix because I don't have a credit card and my parents think I won't have much time to use it.
Roxas: Either way, Sydney does not like people or the outside world. She also does not own Kingdom Hearts or Divergent or a lot of other things probably.
Sydney: Enjoy, review, rate, favorite, follow, etc.
Chapter 23: Just some foolish girls
"Shut up." Tris told Four as we all stood inside the fearscape. Four was holding onto her arm and she had just freaked out about the fear landscapes. She ripped her arm out of his grip and walked out of the room. I looked over at the others before running after Tris.
"Hey!" I shouted as I chased after Tris. Somehow she managed to get further ahead although I only left the room five seconds after he left. She continued to walk even though I was calling out to her. She was heading outside, heading towards the train.
"What do you want Sydney?" Tris asked once we were outside. She stopped and waited for the train to come.
"I wanna come with you." I told her. I also know what you are and the fact that you will die but I can't tell you that.My mind told me and the sad thing is that I almost said it too. She didn't get the chance to say no because the train came around the bend and was heading straight for us. When the front of the train went past us, we jumped on to it. She was laying on her back near the door as I stood near it.
"We're heading towards Erudite headquarters. I have to talk to my brother." Tris said after a few minutes of silence.
"I have to talk to a friend of mine." I told her as I watched the city fly by us as the train moved. When we got close to Erudite headquarters, Tris got up and moved to hold onto the railing. The train dipped and we jumped off, rolling a couple a feet away from the tracks.
We made our way quietly and was in the headquarters without any trouble. it was weird to be in a sea of blue while wearing main building was a library with a huge portrait of Jeanine. Tris walked up to the desk that was beneath Jeanine and started to talk to the man sitting there. I looked at the number of books that had lined the shelves on the walls. So many books that I would have been able to read if I stayed.
"Sydney?" Someone said from behind me. I turned to see Roxas standing there in blue jeans, a sky blue long sleeve shirt. there was a dark brown leather book in his hand.
"Roxas." I said before throwing my arms around his neck and pulling him close. He wrapped his arms around my waist and buried his head into the crook of my neck.
"God, I missed you." He whispered into my neck before pulling away.
"I missed you too. Can we go somewhere else?" I asked as I laced my fingers with his. He pulled me across the street to what use to be a park. We stopped by a metal beam where a bunch of the Erudite were sitting in small groups.
"How is Dauntless?" Roxas asked once we stopped.
"It's more normal than anything else. There is ton of training, fighting, things we would normally do. Plus they prepare you for all the mental things." I told him and my mouth turned into a smirk as I remembered the time where I beat Peter in a fight.
"Well that sounds very intersting. Erudite is actually so much more boring except for the times when Jeanine gives speeches about how corrupted Abnegation is all the time." Roxas said as he whispered the last part. I looked around us before pulling him underneath the metal beam.
"Jeanine is planning an attack on Abnegation. Her and one of the Dauntless leaders. They plan to put all of Dauntless under a simulation to kill all of Abnegation." I told him in a whispered tone. We may have been the only people under the beam but that didn't mean that people weren't around.
"Do you know this for a fact?" He asked me and I nodded. He looked down at the ground and sighed. Did him believe that I was telling the truth? Did he trust me?
"I believe you." He whispered before pressing his lips against mine. It was nothing but a sweet kiss but I really missed it.
"Can you do some research for me?" I asked once we pulled away. Tris and Caleb had been under the beam for a couple of minutes now but it didn't bother us.
"Anything for you." He whispered in my ear. I shivered at his breath tickled my skin.
"Can you research the simulation serum?" I asked him as a look of hurt appeared on Caleb's face.
"That'll be tough but I'll try to." He explained as Tris walked away from Caleb and towards us.
"Thank you so much. I like you so much right now." I told him as I pressed my lips against his for a few seconds before pulling away and walking away with Tris.
"So that was your 'friend'?" Tris asked as we were walking towards Jeanine's office. Two guys managed to find us while we were trying to get to the train.
"Yeah, that was my friend. I've known him for almost forever." I explained to her and it actually kinda felt like forever. Our conversation did not continue because we were lead into an office.
"Sit." Jeanine said as she looked up from the papers on the desk.
"I'd rather not." Tris and I said before she demanded again. Tris and Jeanine then went on to talk about the simulations. They talked about how a couple of Tris' simulations weren't recorded. After about ten minutes of a heated verbal battle, one of Jeanine's lackeys drove the two of us back to Dauntless where Eric was waiting for us. He grabbed our arms and lead us into the building, probably ready to beat us.
"What… Exactly were you two thinking?" Eric asked after he finished cracking his knuckles.
"I… I don't know." Tris said. I was looking down at the ground. Eric decided to tell us off for leaving and not coming up with an excuse. This was the first time I actually saw him as a Erudite disguised as Dauntless.
"They are just a couple of foolish girls Eric. There's no need to drag them in here and interrogate her." Four said once he was inside the room. I looked over at Tris to see that she was slightly relieved when he came in.
"Just some foolish girls? If they were just some foolish girls, they wouldn't be ranked at the top of the list, now would she?" Eric asked.
"I...I was embarrassed and didn't know what to do." Tris said as she looked at the ground. When she looked up, she had tears in her eyes. "I tried to...and…" She couldn't finish her thought and shook her head.
"You tried to what?" Eric asked her.
"Kiss me and I rejected her, and she went running off like a five-year-old. There's really nothing to blame her for but stupidity." Four explained the rest of Tris' story.
"I saw what happened and was concerned for Tris so I ran after her. I didn't know that we were going to Erudite headquarters but I continued to follow her because I didn't want her to do anything stupid." I explained and the three of us waited for Eric's reaction. He looked between Tris and Four before laughing.
"Isn't he a little too old for you, Tris?' He asked, smiling again.
"Can we go now?" I asked as Tris wiped her cheek like she was wiping a tear.
"Fine, but you two are not allowed to leave the compound without supervision again, you hear me?" He asked and the two of us nodded. he then turned towards Four. "And you…had better make sure none of the transfers leave the compound again. And that none of the others try to kiss you."
"Fine." Four said as he rolled his eyes. Soon Tris and I were leaving the room and walking outside. Tris kept shaking her hands, trying to get right of the jitters before she sat down on the pavement.
"You know, you don't have to stay with me anymore." Tris said and I just smiled at her.
"I know but I wanna see FourTris for the first time." I explained as I started to pace a few steps.
"FourTris?" She asked as she cocked her head to the side.
"Yeah, Four and Tris, FourTris. it's your couple name. I could attempt to mash-up your real names but that is just too much work." I told her as I smiled at her.
"So that guy? What's his name?" Tris asked, trying to get the topic off of her and Four.
"Roxas, I only met him in person a few months ago but I've watched him for so much longer than that." I told her as a smile appeared on my face.
"You really like him." Tris explained to me and I just nodded my head as the door opened again and Four came out.
"Are you all right?" Four asked Tris as he touched her cheek gently. She quickly batted his hand away.
"Well, first I got reamed out in front of everyone, and then we had to chat with the woman who's trying to destroy my old faction, and then Eric almost tossed my friends out of Dauntless, so yeah, it's shaping up to be a pretty great day, Four." She told him, gesturing towards me when she said we. Four shook her head and looked at the dilapidated building to his right.
"Why do you care, anyway? You can be either cruel instructor or concerned boyfriend." She said as she tensed up at the word boyfriend. "You can't play both parts at the same time."
"I am not cruel, I was protecting you this morning. How do you think Peter and his idiot friends would have reacted if they discovered that you and I were…" He started explaining things to her before sighing. "You would never win. They would always call your ranking a result of my favoritism rather than your skill."
"He does makes some sense." I told her.
"Well, you didn't have to insult me to prove something to them." She said after a few moments of silence.
"And you didn't have to run off to your brother just because I hurt you. Besides it worked didn't?" He said as he smiled at the last part.
"It did but at her expense." I said as I sat down on the ground to watch them.
"Sydney, please leave." Four said as he looked over at me.
"Fine but it was just getting good!" I said as I got up and walked into the building. They made me miss Roxas but I was going to be with him soon. Next was the fear landscapes and then the simulation attack. The next couple of days were going to become very difficult for all of us.
