Cammie's POV:

I regained consciousness to find my roommates standing over me. This normally only happens during P&E, which would get you a weeks worth of extra credit it you were able to knock someone unconscious. (Bex told me when I woke up..)

Except we aren't in our Protection and Enforcement class. We're in our dorm room and Bex is helping Macey off the floor.

I looked around there were clothes strewn about and our beds were messed up, (if Madame Dabney saw were here we would be in so much trouble.)

I stood up to more accurately survey my surroundings.

Ow.

Apparently, whatever happened made a bruise begin to form on my back.

What is going on?

Judging by the sudden silence, I had spoken out loud.

Zack suddenly stood in front of me and he gave me an intense stare.

"That's what we want to know. You didn't show up at dinner, Gallagher Girl."

I recalled with great clarity and fought away a blush. Life was hard enough when you're a spy

Pros and Cons of being a spy and a teenage girl

Pro: You know at least six ways to incapacitate someone with only a nail file.

Con: at least four of those ways are banned

Pro: you can make yourself look amazing in a hurry

Con: when you're a chameleon, you tend to try not to stand out

Pro: when you are friends with Macey McHenry, you will look great whether you want to or not.

Con: Most of the time the answer is not (at least when your name is Cameron Morgan)

I glanced at Macey with a do-you-wanna-explain this look. She rolled her eyes so hard I was afraid they might pop out.

"Cammie and I were getting ready and I was showing her her outfit for tomorrow. It was something different then what she was used to wearing and all I did was try to show her how good it would look-"

"You know that I hate standing out!" I snapped.

"You need a little diversity, Cam. When we're out in the world on missions, we're going to have to wear clothes for disguises and look like we belong in them. Just think of this as...practice." Macey looked smug.

"maybe, but you totally over reacted when you did my hair and you put makeup on me for no reason!"

These are not words to be taken lightly when they are being said to Macey McHenry.

Macey cut me a look that I have personally seen make someone cry before.

"It was in your best interest cam," She inspected her perfect nail beds "besides, you wouldn't have let me do it otherwise and it wasn't even that big of a deal."

She had the audacity to roll her eyes like I was the one being unreasonable. (To be fair though, the whole argument and situation was ridiculous.)

"You put a sedation patch on me so you could do my hair and makeup!" I exclaimed incredulously.

Macey completely ignored my outburst.

"I did our makeup, as usual because of all the things the academy teaches, proper makeup application is not one of them "

Bex rolled her eyes at us, annoyed. "Oh, would you two bloody finish explaining already?."

"Basically we managed to use sedative patches on each other while trying to get the upper hand and we got knocked into the dressers and I hit my back on the edge of a bed post-" I trailed off because the look Bex gave me was definitely judging. Which- rude.

Macey seemed as tired of this and I was so she wrapped it up quickly.

"Cammie and I started arguing about her hair was because I wanted to curl it, but she said she was hungry and it looked fine the way it was, but it wasn't so I told her that I would do it even if she had to be unconscious, so I grabbed some napotine patches and lunged at her and I guess she had napotine patches in her pockets because she put two on my arms at the same time I slapped some on her with them and as I was trying to pull them off I got dizzy and we both passed out." Macey finished in a long-winded breath

Liz's eyes were wide like saucers. "Are you serious? You know using more than one of those patches, especially together is not safe!"

Macey and I exchanged a look that spoke volumes, "I guess when we were trying to get each other we got a 'little' out of hand in here." we smiled at them sheepishly.

There was a long silence. Bex and Liz shared an exasperated look. While Zach just smirked at me now that he knew there was nothing serious to be worried about.

My stomach chose that moment to make its hunger known. Zach chuckled in my ear.

"Let's go grab something from the kitchen."

He continued in a louder voice, "Did you guys want anything?" He asked.

Everyone but Macey declined, requesting one of the turkey avocado sandwiches the staff kept wrapped up in the fridges because they knew that we went down there. (They didn't work at a spy school for nothing.

The next morning we were already to go to town, although I was a little anxious and really hoped that I didn't see Josh, Dillon, or DeeDee. The four of us walked to the boys wings and knocked on the door.

Are you guys ready yet?", Bex yelled through the door right before it opened.

The door was opened by Grant grinning widely.

"Yeah, lets head out."

We went through the foyer and out the doors with the rest of the students that were just now leaving and headed off towards Roseville.

As we walked through town, looking for something to do, I kept feeling like I would explode if I didn't tell my friends our news.

Grant finally mentioned that we should get something to eat so we went inside the diner. Hopefully our friends don't get too mad at us for keeping secrets. We looked over our menus briefly and ordered our food. I took the waiting time to survey my surroundings discreetly. (Of course.)

To my immediate horror I noticed that Josh, Dillon, and Dee Dee were coming into the diner. Don't let Josh notice me, Don't let Josh notice me, Don't let Josh notice me. I knew my mantra was in vain as I saw josh turn his head in my direction and look straight at me.

Ok so this is my first update since returning to ffn. I hope it meets expectations although I found this chapter to be difficult to write. It was hard, not only because I had to remember and come up with new ideas for where I will take the story, but also because my muses weren't flowing. I kept feeling forced and I changed things over and over again. I decided to just post this chapter and and let you tell me what you think. Feel free to tell me what you think and let me know if there are mistakes I missed. Thanks! :)
