Chapter 4

Waiting at the baggage carousel, the girls were all laughing and enjoying themselves. They couldn't believe they had the chance to relax in this place. They had left the boys at the other end so that they could plan the days that they had to enjoy themselves.

"So what are we doing once we get to the hotel?" Parvati enquired of the girls.

"I'm more worried about how we are getting to the hotel" Lavender replied, slightly worried. They had left so quickly, and no one had really thought about anything like that or even spoke of it.

Ginny laughed when Lavender posed her question, which drew looks from all the girls. "Do you really think Hermione wouldn't have prepared for this?" she eventually said.

This got a smile from all the girls, except Hermione who bit her lip. She had actually not prepared for this; she had been rapted up in the excitement and drama from the day.

"Ah, guys, I actually didn't organise anything… but I'm sure that we will be able to get taxi's or something. This is an International airport in a tourist destination." Hermione stated with conviction as well as portraying how sorry she was. Even though she knew reasonably it wasn't up to her to do everything, and made her sometimes feel a little resentful that everyone expected it from her.

The women looked at one another, all beginning to worry slightly now. However the men overheard that they needed a lift, and saw an opportunity.

"We can give you all a lift, we have plenty of room in our cars" Adrian spoke out helpfully.

"Yeah, we don't mind at all" Greg stated giving his opinion as well. He liked talking to the girls earlier and wouldn't mind continuing to do it.

"That's perfect!" Luna replied, happy to have a solution.

Ginny looked at the girls, shaking her head. She didn't want to be stuck in a car with Malfoy; she just spent hours on a plane next to the twat. Luckily Hermione could see the signs, and while she didn't want to spend time with Marcus after his flirting she recognised that they needed the help. Hermione pulled Ginny aside slightly to speak to her.

"What's going on?" Hermione enquired.

"I just don't want to spend time with Malfoy, at least anymore than I already have." Ginny hissed back, her voice conveying her annoyance.

"I know Ginny, I have the same feelings. However we need a lift and they are willing. We just have to live with it for now." Hermione replied.

" What do you mean that you have the same feelings?" Ginny asked curiously.

" Not here! We can talk at the hotel." Hermione whispered back, worried that they would be overheard. "Let's go back to the others now," Hermione effectively finishing the conversation and re-joining the groups.

The conversation had continued while they had been having their private one, and everyone had gotten their bags as well as the girls for them. They also had trolleys to make it easier. They went through customs, which was quite easy once the men had been explained to about why they needed to and what to do.

While they had been waiting in line, Marcus tried to speak to Hermione. He had noticed that she hadn't been speaking to him unless it was absolutely necessary.

"Hermione, is everything okay?" He enquired.

"Of course it is, why wouldn't it be?" Hermione replied back tersely. Even though she knew she was being slightly ridiculous about everything, it didn't matter. She felt annoyed and hurt that he wouldn't flirt with her.

No one ever flirts with me, who would. I'm just plain, bushy haired Hermione Granger, too smart and opinionated.

While she was thinking to herself, Marcus had continued to speak.

"You just seem angry or something…" he said hesitantly a little afraid. He had definitely heard of Hermione's temper and didn't want to inflict it upon himself.

"I'm perfectly fine Marcus, you don't need to worry yourself over me!" Hermione ended up snapping back even though she didn't want to show her emotions. She walked away and caught up with the girls who were busy laughing and chatting.

"So now getting to the hotel is handled, what are we doing after we get there?" Parvati brought back up, because the social part of the holiday needed to be handled. All the girls laughed, some things don't change, that's for sure.

**The Boys**

"You look a little annoyed Draco" Blaise teased him.

"Of course I am, you all invited them along with us, and I don't want to spend any more time with Weasely than I needed too" Draco sneered back. Ginny had really aggravated him and also intrigued him, not that he would ever admit that to anyone.

All the men looked at each other and smirked. While Draco thought he was able to hide his feelings so well from everyone, he definitely couldn't hide from them.

"It's okay Draco, we understand you have a little crush on the little Weaselette" Marcus taunted, once he came back from his conversation from Hermione. He just couldn't resist, he is a Slytherin after all.

The men all burst out into laughter, and continued their way to the cars that they had organised. Blaise, Greg, Draco and Theo began to hand all the bags to drivers to put them into the boots, while the girls organised who would go together since there was the two vans.

While this occurred, Adrian pulled Marcus aside to talk. "What's going on with you mate?" He asked.

"What do you mean?" Marcus replied, trying to throw Adrian off.

"Marcus, I've been your best mate for a long time, don't even try that with me. I know when something is up." Adrian threw back at him, which was paired with a scathing look.

"Dude, you know I don't do the feelings talk shit… but Granger is pissed off and I think it is at me." Marcus stated back, uncomfortable at the fact that he was talking about stuff like this.

"I wouldn't worry to much, women are weird. She probably just got anxious being in the plane and all that. Let her relax and try again… we all know how good you are with women" Adrian nudged him with his elbow, and ended his talk with a wink. He walked away to speak with everyone else, leaving Marcus standing there in thought.

I hope she isn't angry at me, I really enjoyed our conversation on the plane before she got quiet. I'll have to somehow get an answer from her soon, and hopefully she will give me another smile and her attention. No one as smart as her ever has been as interested in me before. All I am is trollish Marcus, who is only good for one thing to others.

Everyone was together once more, and the cars were organised. It had be decided that the boys would go in one car, and the girls in the other. Just for easy. Once all the bags were placed into the cars, everyone got in and started off for the hotel… they hadn't actually realised just yet that they were staying at the same place.

Being driven along the coast was beautiful; they could see the glistening waters and sandy beaches unlike those they were used too. The hotel wasn't to far away from the airport, but that was because the island wasn't huge.

When everyone pulled up to hotel, everyone was in awe of it. It was huge, not really a hotel but a resort. It had a massive entrance, with staff out the front waiting with drinks and those flower necklaces. The guys were astonished that Muggles could do luxury in this scale but were happy. They were used to it, and had grown accustomed to it. The women hadn't ever really stayed in something such as this resort and couldn't believe they had been able to find such a fabulous deal that allowed them too.

After taking their drinks and their necklaces, they entered and headed to the check in while the bellhops had gathered the bags. The men were extremely happy that they were at the same hotel as the women and once everyone received their room keys they all headed off to get unpacked for their time.

Because they had booked so late, people did have to share the rooms. Luckily the resort had two-bedroom apartment styled rooms. For the women it was Hermione and Ginny in one room, Luna and Lavender in another and Padma and Parvati in the last. The men had a similar set up, with Marcus and Adrian in a room, Draco and Blaise in another and Theo and Greg rooming together. This worked out for everyone perfectly, and while Draco wasn't used to sharing a room at least it was a two-bedroom and he wouldn't have to share a bed with Blaise. He liked to end up cuddling; the Italian had a knack for it, no matter who was in it with him.

**Hermione and Ginny's room**

"Thank god we are finally here!" Ginny exclaimed while flopping onto the bed that was closest while Hermione followed her in.

Hermione gave a wide smile at the redhead and flopped onto the bed next to her. She giggled and replied, "I know, its surreal but I agree! Thank god! We need this".

Ginny turned onto her side facing Hermione and gave her a serious look that meant that they were going to talk whether Hermione wanted to or not. "Okay missy, spill. What happened with Marcus? You were happy and what not earlier and now you're giving him the cold shoulder"

" I know, but you saw all the airhostess on the plane right?" Turning on her side to face Ginny, Hermione sighed.

"Yeah, of course. Why?" Ginny said wondering where Hermione was going with this.

"Well, when they were bringing around the food, the airhostess ignored me completely, stood on my toes and flirted with Marcus right in front of me! I know he is attractive but come on." Hermione replied, frustrated and looking for support.

Ginny, being the good friend she is looked outraged for Hermione and slightly amused.

"That Bitch! Did you say anything?" Ginny exploded.

"You have met me right Ginny? Of course I said something. I put her in her place. I could've dealt with her unprofessionalism but the fact she stood on my feet!" Hermione continued to rant, which didn't happen a lot but when it did; it generally went for a while. Plus she generally also needed it.

"Okay, good! I would've sent a sneaky hex her way for good measure too… perhaps a tickling one?" Ginny replied with a smirk and giggle. Hermione giggled as well, which then lead to a full out laughter fit on the bed, which had them rolling around.

Sitting up abruptly, Ginny exclaimed "You like Flint!"

"I do not!" Hermione cried out back.

"Yes you do, you wouldn't stay this upset if it was just the airhostess stepping on you. Plus you mentioned the flirting, which came up with the rest, which means it annoyed you. Thus leading to the conclusion you like Flint." Ginny threw back quickly. Hermione opened her mouth to deny this, however Ginny effectively shut her up by stating, " You can't deny it, its totally logical, and you can't argue with logic."

Both women looked at each other, one panting heavily after her speech and the other dumbstruck. Ginny stuck out her tongue at Hermione, and both women began to laugh again.

"Alright, lets get out of these clothes and into bikini's. It is still early enough to explore the resort. The girls are meeting us in the lobby to go." Hermione said jumping up from the bed and opening her bag, urging Ginny to do the same.

So I am ending it there, hopefully people will review and be nice :) I know it is going slow but I feel like the girls and guys need to work their way into knowing each other etc.

I hope this was enjoyed and I'm starting the next chapter as we speak (or rather type) .
