Yeah forgive a hole here if you see one. I've been scratching my head regarding some of the first part and instead of killing myself by giving myself yet another headache, I just let it go. Hope you enjoy the last chapter of part 1.
Thanks again for all the reviews and the reads. I appreciate it.
Zim wasn't fond of being placed back on Judgementia again, but at least the room wasn't filled with Irkens like last time. He had mainly been keeping quiet for the most part what with the Tallest's ending communication with him. While he was still laying plans out to rule that planet, he knew he was becoming lazy about it because no one from his own planet wouldn't care. Although he was sure to get one being's attention. A purple headed demon. When the hell did he get so obsessed with her? Was it before or after that kiss? In whatever case he knew he wanted it repeated.
"Invader Zim! Will you answer us!"
Zim's eyes snapped open causing him to snap more in attention more. "My apologies, just nervous seeing that the last time I was in here wasn't the greatest moment in my life."
"Yes we can understand that, but you can be at ease right now as you listen to us." The Left Brain spoke.
"I will listen to all you have to tell me." Zim assured them.
"Excellent, than we shall begin."
A slightly different voice entered. "We see you have grown considerably over time, Zim. Possibly due to the location you were stationed. In fact you have become an inch taller then Red and Purple were." The Right Brain stated.
"It was probably due to the gravity and my tolerance of their horrible food there." Zim offered as a simple explanation.
"You would think that, wouldn't you? Why you are born a defective in our society Zim it has offered you some specialness compared to others of your kind." The Left brain said thoughtfully.
Zim didn't wish to interrupt them with tons of questions, but his body felt like jumping around as he demanded answers to his questions.
"Yes, you may have screwed up in the past." The Right Brain said almost choking it seemed. "But it is odd how clever you were in avoiding so many things."
"If I may ask, like what?" Zim wondered curiously.
Both bellowed out at the same time with their reply, "COMPLETE AND TOTAL DEACTIVATION!"
"Perhaps you are lucky in this way, Zim." The Right thought out loud.
"Or everyone else around you didn't know how to exactly handle you." The Left interjected.
"That would imply neither one of us knew how to handle him either, Left." The Right pointed out.
"Perhaps."
"Quite honestly, we believe you are far smarter than we even believe you are to luck out at every turn in order to still live." The Right mentioned.
"It is a sign of someone who is worthy and not just because of height." The Left countered. "Red and Purple were fine, but they did lack some things."
Zim wondered where they were not here all of a sudden. Will they get to the final point of why he was here? He heard them mumbling to one another before speaking out loud to him.
"We are certain you are curious on to why they are not here. Am I correct there, Zim?" Left inquired.
"Yes I was."
"This is where it becomes embarrassing. Mostly to them."
Did Zim hear them trying to contain their laughter? He heard something being muffled, but he wasn't quite sure.
"I think you should tell him, Right because it is just so hard to say it out loud." Left begged. Oh yeah, he was trying to contain himself.
"Hmmph, fine." Right couldn't believe the childish nature of her cohort. "There has been a... Snacking machine incident that uh.. Seriously this is embarrassing to say and I'm not them."
"Red and Purple are deceased because a snacking machine malfunctioned and ate them up instead." Left Brain rushed out.
"Eh?"
"Yes, we can see by your confused and astounded face how terrible this is." The Right Brain stated trying to sound like a crooning mother.
Talk about the stupidest and uneventful death ever for a Tallest, Zim thought.
"So if I may ask, why am I here?" Zim asked almost too relaxed from his still dumbfounded expression from the news.
"Well we want you to be our newest Tallest. You know if that's okay." The Left Brain threw out that thought nonchalantly.
Zim smiled. "I... ACCEPT!"
The Control Brains watched as Zim stood there rubbing his hands together chuckling to himself as they wondered if this was a good thing or not, but shrugged their figurative shoulders and swept his behavior under the rug. Sort of speak. "Yes, well your excitement is duly noted, Zim."
"The Armada is approaching Earth at this present moment. You can still chose to conquer it or not. I mean we have plenty of other planets to conquer, but right now since your base is there we thought that you would want to pack up your stuff so the humans don't get their hands on it. I mean what the Meerkrobs did was horrible when they found out about, Tenn." The Right Brain explained.
"That is most excellent, my excellent Control Brains. I look forward in serving the Empire in an entirely new way." Zim bowed to them.
"Your enthusiasm is excellent. Is there anything you would like to ask?"
Grinning, he tried to make himself look humble still. "Am I allowed to have a Queen? A consort since I am a Tallest."
"Yes, you may."
"Is it a big deal if she is a human?"
"Uh... Why a human?"
Zim was losing track who was asking him this question since his thoughts were consumed now. "This human is extremely special to the point you would believe she should of been born Irken."
There was a pause in their thinking as their curiosity was piqued. "Any example of this human to show us?"
They will think him creepy for keeping things such as this in his pak, but he couldn't help look at it once in a while as he pulled it out, and activated it showing Gaz in her various states of violent deeds or how she would speak to others. He heard them laughing at how she belittled her own kind or how she struck fear in others. After it was done, he stowed it back to wait for their answer.
"As long as she doesn't kill us, because we think she could, we accept who you have chosen, Tallest Zim." The Right Brain announced their decision.
It had been a few days with Zim at first out of school, and than shortly after that when he went to spy on him, Dib noticed his base was gone. Dib was elated. He felt he had won somehow. He danced around the vacant lawn now before heading home just whistling all the way. Entering, he cheered on saying it was a beautiful glorious day, and how everything looked so wonderful. Gaz of course made a crack at him asking if the Shadowhog's toilet water finally sifted into his brain. Dib didn't care, he didn't care if she would hit him when he hugged her tight. They were safe. Mankind was safe from that alien scum.
Gaz had nothing to share of her thoughts there. She kept to herself as usual.
Two weeks later, Dib was at his computer just going through random readings when he was alerted about something in their own galaxy. Hacking into one of their satellites, his eyes bulged at seeing the many ships in space, and recognizing them for whom they belonged to. Making a call to the Swollen Eyeball, he informed Dark Bootie regarding the Armada approaching Earth before yelling out to Gaz.
"Gaz! We have to get out of here! The Armada is coming!" He cried out.
"So?"
He wasn't surprised she didn't care, but she should as he ran to her room to do the one thing you aren't supposed to do; Grab her and drag her just to show her the problem. Gaz did punch him, and to her credit she did examine the image in front of her with a bored expression. Did she care?
"Well if it is an invasion, I guess I finally have something to kill." She casually said.
"Get something light to bring because we have to leave now!" Dib ordered.
"Pfft baby."
Not wishing to try to figure out her devil-may-care attitude, Dib got up to get his emergency pack he always kept just in case, and put in a few more things. Feeling like a madman, he called out to Gaz on his way down. "I'll be downstairs, Gaz! Be down here in five minutes." Rushing to the entrance of the kitchen, he dropped his two bags next to it, and waited for her as patiently as possible.
After five minutes, Dib yelled upstairs again, "Seriously Gaz! We have to go!"
"IN A MINUTE!" She screamed back.
Hearing panicked knocking at his front door and what sounded like a small child, Dib rushed to the door to open it only after he did he received the hardest, and heaviest punch in his life right to his chest knocking him clear across between the kitchen and the stairs. Dib felt dazed. He lost his breath. Was he still alive? Dazed, he peered up to watch Zim step forward flanked by a couple of soldiers next to him. They weren't tall soldiers, but Dib already knew never to underestimate his races strength.
Zim smirked down at him. "Ah, Dib-stink. I see you caught sight of the Armada coming in. Unfortunately a little too late."
Dib was wheezing, hoping now that Gaz would high-tail it out of there once she noticed them here.
Looking at his soldiers, Zim said, "You really hit him pretty hard, Splork. Good job there." Splork merely nodded at him.
"Told you it would be a minute, Dib."
Dib's eyes widened as he squeaked out, "Gaz run."
But Gaz was already downstairs not even phased in the slightest at what was in the living room. Stepping next to Dib, she considered him for a moment before focusing her attention on Zim. "I swear if you broke him who will I get to torture?" She asked pointing to her brother.
Zim grinned at her. "Dib is stronger than he looks. We both know that."
"Okay then. Get out, Zim" She said gritting her teeth.
Chuckling, Zim dismissed his soldiers to wait outside for him. "You should be much more nicer to me, Gaz. You were nice to me that one night."
As if her face couldn't be anymore stonier, she managed it as she glared at him. "Will I ever live that down?"
"No, especially when I know how perfect you are." Zim replied.
"What do you want?" Dib wheezed out.
"Oh, Dib you shouldn't talk so much, you'll hurt yourself." Zim pointed out sardonically. "Besides, your sister knows what I want. She knows exactly what I want."
Why do guys have to leer? She thought. "You want a new brain, Zim? Yeah, I agree."
He ignored that. "I'm the newest Tallest, Gaz. Remember what you told me."
Horrified, she shook her head. "I was kidding, Zim. There is no way I'd really do that. Find yourself another girl."
"Ah, but Gaz you told me that when I become the Tallest you would be my Queen."
"I wasn't being serious, Zim. I just wanted to get away from you!" She was so tempted to kill him, but she was afraid that would turn him on.
"You really agreed to that, Gaz?" Dib asked weakly.
It was sad, she momentarily forgot about him till he spoke making her crouch down to help him up. "Yeah well I never thought it would happen. Can you blame me?" She muttered in disgust.
"No, no I honestly can't. Gaz, I don't want you going with him."
"Well no duh, Genius! I'm not."
"You agreed, little Gaz." Zim reminded her approaching judging each of their stances. They both knew how to fight, but Gaz was the most deadliest of the siblings. He had to make a decision and his decision was to simply grab Dib quickly by the neck and tossing him aside making him go roughly over the couch. Gaz growled at him as she quickly ran upstairs. He knew that unlike any of those morons in horror movies who would die eventually for making that mistake, he knew Gaz always had a plan in mind. He'll still follow her.
Gaz waited in the hallway for him. Smile on her face. "SECURITY!"
"Eh?" Out of her room came the freakiest stuff toys ever. "What are you planning on doing with those?"
She enjoyed watching them pass her. "They love feeding off flesh."
Zim watched them approach letting them come close to him as possible before he cackled at her. Quickly extending his legs out of his pak, he started ripping and stabbing them in half with maniacal glee. He heard the familiar hissing of Gaz before she tried to retreat to her room prompting him to grab her. "I am pretty fast, Gaz."
"Tell me, Zim, would you be satisfied in having someone who doesn't want you like that? Will you?" She asked quietly.
"Why did you kiss me then? It wasn't like it was a brief one." He wondered earnestly as he held her.
Eyes shut, she remembered the day knowing it wasn't her intention, but in some cliche way with him saving her from falling. She was just an inch away from his face where curiosity took hold. Gaz knew she never wanted the touch of another. She hated it, but was curious about him.
"I'm wired wrong, Zim. There is something inside of me that doesn't want that at all. I know I kissed you, but I was curious."
She sounded sad saying that. He had to know. "Did you at least enjoy it?"
Her on the ground with him on top of her. He was holding her in a protective way before he switched into something far more intimate. His face was an inch away. Her damn heart pounding for once. She kissed him and found him not yelling at her, but returning it. That tongue of his made it feel amazing. Even though they were at it for a while until the sound of Dib's voice broke them up, she had to admit that for her first kiss, and her only; He was amazing.
"Yes." Gaz finally replied unhappily. "I still don't want to be with anyone at all."
"Am I that repulsive to want to be with?"
What a sad way for him to ask that question. "I am." She answered truthfully. "You are not except for right now."
Turning her to face him, Zim couldn't quite understand her. "You will never be repulsive. You never were."
"Zim this is just obsession for you along with wanting to have me as your possession. I can't be that. That isn't love." She pointed out hoping he would let her go.
"Gaz is wrong about Zim. I do love you."
Gaz felt stabbed in the face. How dare him say that to her. She was about to attack him when Dib grabbed him roughly from behind pulling them both apart to stand protectively in front of her. Gaz didn't have to see his face to judge how angry, Dib was right now. Zim recovered quick as he stood near the stairs staring daggers at Dib while growling at him.
Dib didn't care as he stood to face his enemy. He didn't care about the possibility of what Zim could do right now, he just won't let him have her. "Gaz isn't coming with you. Not now. Not ever."
"You do realize that an invasion will start now. Perhaps you will have time to hide, but it will start. This I ensure you, Dib." Snarled Zim.
"I'm prepared for that. Been prepared since you came into our lives. The thing I wasn't prepared for is how you involved her into this." He was still battle ready as he waited for anything to happen from Zim. Gaz was quiet as usual.
"It was never to use her. You think I was prepared there? Not like you care. You never cared." Standing at ease now, his eyes focused on Gaz as she still stood in the same position. Expressionless face. "You really want to risk countless lives right now?"
It was something he wish Zim didn't ask him, but he did. "As much as I want to help others, and I do always. Gaz will always be my priority."
"As she is mines as well. She will never be harmed."
Dib laughed at him. "How can I believe you? You manipulate, Zim. I remember when I asked you to help me out to cure Gaz, you laughed in my face. How can I believe you now? I can't."
Zim gazed right at Gaz right then to reply, "Because I found her scary but admirable then, but I wasn't in love with her until much later." He saw a flicker from her. He couldn't identify it, but he saw it as her mouth parted a bit.
"I'm going to hurt myself from laughing so hard over here, Zim. You forcing her to leave is not love. She isn't coming with you, but you still tried to force her. Still not love. Wake up, space boy! She isn't coming with you. She made her choice. Respect her for it." Dib spat out.
Narrowing his eyes up at Dib, he approached him, but didn't get too close when he rasped out in the most deadliest of tones he possessed. "The invasion begins then. Good bye, Dib-stink." Turning abruptly around, he only paused long enough to take another look at Gaz before heading downstairs.
Outside, Zim and his soldiers gathered in their shuttle to head back up to the Massive. "We'll be spreading out all over this filthy planet to take over all their resources. Also if anyone harms Gaz Membrane, I will see you executed. Her brother wants a fight on his hands. He'll regret it."
Time to begin Part 2 where the actual Invasion begins.
