Ngrey - I knew you were going to like that. Thanks for understanding that one part when he said that word.
Everclear - You little Dib fan girl you.
Me2U2 - Actually in a way you said the same thing that Ngrey said. Well in a way. I'm too tired to think of a proper response right now.
Invader Johnny - Dib has invoked Zim's wrath. Dun dun dun...
LordGhostStriker - Forgot to mention that I enjoy your name. I will have to defend Dib there since the poor guy was extremely stressed there and such. He does regret his choice of word and that slap and does regret allowing himself to end up having sex with Tak in such a way (There will be some ping pong action in his head on that one in a later chapter, you'll see)
Two days and he kept trying to get Gaz to talk to him again, but no such luck. When he asked if she was in the room, Zita told him she was. She sneaks out to just do her business and go backs in there to hide. When he asked her about if she was eating, Zita shook her head telling him that she barely does, and just wishes to be left alone. He knew he took it too far too late.
"Gaz, please I would like to speak to you. I know I was a jerk to you. I'm sorry." He said through the door, but still no response. "I know I'm over protective over you, and it is hard to say sorry there when I've seen things from you that no one else had."
Gaz sat on her bed, with her back resting against the wall with her legs stretched out, and her hand on her shoulder in a mock hug as she listened to her brother talk to her again. The mark on her cheek was already gone because apparently that bite that Zim gave her also helped speed up recovery too. She had to think that was a nice bonus, but wondered if it could speed up the ache inside.
She'd never admit it to anyone, but she did love the idiot.
"Well, Gaz I have to go out on patrol again so please I just have to say again that I love you." Touching her door as if it was her, he stepped away nodding to the ones he would have in his group. "Come on."
He always went on patrol around the same time, she almost laughed at him announcing that, but she patiently waited till he was well away along with some of his groupies before sneaking out of there to another area that Dib didn't know about. Something that was a plan she had been formulating for some time now.
This was one of his favorite classes where they grouped two grades together to provide him the opportunity to at least see Gaz a bit more uninterrupted as she typed in a bored manner into the computer for Computer Science. Zim supposed she thought this class was as boring as it was for him seeing it was too simple and both of them were far more superior than these Earth worms. He actually bet that the Dib-stink would find this class not very challenging.
Being across from her own table, she wore a dark purple short skirt and a black knitted top along with boots that reached her mid-calf with some menacing buckles on it that were really skulls. That girl adored her dark clothing along with those short skirts. Not that Zim would ever complain there as he watched her mindlessly reach her hand down to lift her skirt up a bit to scratch one little area before covering that area back up. Zim's mouth dropped open wanting to see more. Of course he had this feeling he wasn't being secretive to his lust right now even when a message popped up on his screen.
"Seriously, Zim can you be less obvious?"
Gaz didn't type anything out for a while so it wasn't her making him glance around to see who did send that message. No one looked in his direction so he chose to ignore it.
"Did you know she is going on a date? Overheard it. She isn't happy."
Zim fumed at the words on the screen before typing back, "Who is this?"
"A friend."
"Zim has no friends." He typed back.
"Sure you do."
Zim was about to respond again when he watched her lean back a little to prop her leg up on the bar in front of her. Whipping out her game slave, she began playing on it with a very bored expression on her face. Examining her slowly from head to toe, he absolutely loved taking in each and every detail of her making him wonder if she knew how hot she was. Practically drooling, he drifted back up to her face to notice her amber eyes looking at him. Smiling lamely, he turned away from her whistling in the air in mock innocence. Glancing back on the screen he had another message.
"Hehe, you got caught by her. I wonder why she hasn't wanted to kill you yet like all the others? I bet she likes you."
Zim hoped so with that kiss they shared. A kiss he will never get off his mind. "I doubt she does, and you aren't my friend, Keef. Go away!"
"But we are friends. You are my bestest friend."
Growling, Zim leaned back in his chair to throw something at his head knocking him to the ground. Feigning more innocence that he wasn't responsible, he felt eyes on him again, but when he turned, he saw her profile as she stifled her giggles. Getting back on the computer he knew which terminal she used, so he messaged her. "Anything amusing to you?"
Glancing up at her screen, she moved her hands forward casually and typed back, "For once class was amusing however brief."
"Did Zim inform you how amazingly astounding looking you look today? I've seen jeweled and colored clusters in far off galaxies that pale in comparison to how perfect you look."
Gaz's eyes widened a bit before she giggled. "Alien Pick-up lines 101 by Zim. Available inside the vastness of Gir's mind."
Cocking his head at that, he asked, "Why Gir's mind and not mines?"
"I don't think you have anything to add since it is stuffed full of bullshit and massive ego, so place it in the cute empty headed, Gir." Tossing a wink over her shoulder at him, she smiled at his uncomfortable behavior at that, but that didn't last long when she saw what he typed next. Her reply to him was, "My dad is forcing me to go. This is for his company. This is for the client. I am nothing but a fucking body. Don't ask me anymore questions about it. Dib has been trying to convince my dad not to do it."
Seeing how hard she stomped her foot down on the ground in anger scaring a few around her, Zim typed back, "Perhaps I can disguise myself as your date or at least scare him off."
Gazing at him, she smiled whispering to him, "I dare you."
Thing was it was the most satisfying thing to do by scaring off that germ from his Gaz. He did such an effective job that the kid had to seek some counseling for the rest of the year. He didn't get a kiss again from her, but he did get a tiny gift from her as she passed him going to her locker was a packet full of some of his favorite sweets. If it made her at least happy for him to do that, than he felt he was getting closer to her than before.
Gaz was in her private area when she caught a familiar beeping signaling a mass transmission coming through making her stop in her activities to see Zim standing there obviously on the bridge of the Massive with his hands behind his back, and looking severely pissed. "Oh, what now?" She asked herself out loud.
"People of Earth! It has come to the Tallest Zim's attention a great insult has been caused. An insult that even I can't ignore. An insult that will result in serious punishment." Zim boomed out. "This insult will be towards a Dib Membrane for harming his Queen and insulting her to no end."
Gaz became a statue as she listened.
"I have seen what you have done and believe me, Dib when I inform you that your life will cease from this moment longer. I have been lenient with you in favor for her, but that is no longer. Enjoy the remaining time you have on this miserable planet. The Empire signing off."
"Great." She murmured.
Heavy firing was all around Dib as even more Irken soldiers were surrounding the area shortly after that transmission. Most of his group was holding their own, but there were a few that were gravely injured making him grit his teeth out. He wanted to call out to Zim to stop this insanity, but didn't want to give away all their positions.
"Dude! We have to do something because it looks like we are losing right now." Brian said as he moved next to him.
Reaching for his communications device, he called up their base hoping that Gaz or someone will answer. Seeing Gaz's face pop up looking like she was unmarred from his slap, he sneered when a small chunk of building landed near them.
"How many of his troops are there?" Gaz inquired.
"More than usual, but not the whole Armada." He replied. "Did you see that transmission?"
"Yeah, I saw it. Pity he saw it." Feeling a shaking in their building, Gaz actually reacted. "Uhhh they are close to us."
"Crud. We have to do something. Right now I have no clue because we have now more injured people here, and Zim is certainly angry at me. Not that I don't blame him for once."
"Dib, I didn't appreciate the slap and as for that word you called me."
"You aren't that. You are never that. I was angry because Tak tied me up and tried to take advantage of me, and during the whole thing of me being worried about you and that... Gaz I don't want anything happening to you. I love you. I want the best for you."
"I want the best for you too, Dib. Look I did deserve what you said to me in between. I'm fine with that." Now angry at the shaking, she shook her own head. "Look Dib you will need to trust me for the next hour or two."
"Uh... What are you planning?" Dib was scared to know and also scared not to know.
"I love you." She cut the transmission off.
"DIB! COME OUT HERE!" Came Zim's scream.
"I just spoke to, Gaz. I've been apologizing and begging for her forgiveness for the past couple of days and even now when we just spoke. Zim! This is between the both of us." Dib called back.
"I agree, but I'm that pissed."
"Look! I want to come out and speak to you face to face so can we without you shooting me?" Dib asked.
Zim thought about it. He thought about it hard, but he wouldn't mind looking at his face before he snuffed the life out of him. "Fine! Come out." There was a wait till he spotted Dib coming around the corner approaching him cautiously. Zim had a hand it to him for not putting his hands up like a weak worm baby. "Drop the weapon."
"No. I don't trust you."
"You should because if your sister forgives you I might spare you." Zim said.
"She told me she loved me." Dib informed him.
Coming as close as possible, Zim looked him over. "She always did, you know? Even at your most annoying. Even when she threatened your life, she still loved you. She didn't wish to worry you any more so that is why she left me, but what does she get? She gets slapped and called a horrible word. Your sister may have a scary reputation that is bad, but she is so innocent in that other aspect. An aspect I love so greatly."
He was being lectured by Zim. This is just odd. "I don't think I'll accept this between the both of you. I do want her happy, but what if you fail her there?"
"Than I'll keep working on it."
"It is her choice. A choice I'm afraid of, but it is her choice." Dib said wondering when they would be sparring.
"I've made my choice, Dib."
Zim and Dib snapped their attention as they both turned to face her approaching them. She smiled very weakly at Dib as she went to approach him first. "Gaz?"
"I forgive you, I know you didn't mean it or mean to." Taking a step towards him, she hugged him. "Please accept what will happen next for me." Separating, she went to Zim's side. "I'm coming with you."
"Gaz!"
"My little Gaz." Zim breathed out. "You serious?"
"Yes, jackass, I am." Turning back to Dib, she said to him, "It is best this way. I know what you've done." Bringing him close down to her, she whispered something in his ear, making her move away to go to Zim's arms. "It will soon be back to normal, Dib."
"No it won't because you are leaving." Dib pointed out sadly. "Zim you can't do this to her."
"Dib, it is my choice to make and I'm making it. I'm sorry if you don't like it, but I need to."
Reaching out for her hand, he grabbed her to bring her back to him again. "I know it is, but your my sister."
"Yes I know, genius. I've known a very long time now." Smiling at him, she gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. "Remember what I told you. Love you."
Watching her go back to Zim, Dib's breath caught as he glared up at him. "You hurt my sister I will hunt you down and make sure your death is slow."
"Zim will never hurt her. Zim is in love with her." Wrapping his hand around her, he guided her away.
Dib watched as Gaz turned her head to regard him again. His legs felt more weak than before. First mom, which he didn't know so well in the first place, but she was still this lighthearted person you loved always. Second was his father whom did love his mom, but became neglectful the moment she was gone. Called him insane and called Gaz the funny child. Gaz was the only one presently in his life. He was the one who mostly raised her, that he knew. He was first her brother, father and sometimes friend to her. He had no clue that Zim ever had designs on her till he caught him looking at her more and more, but to this point? Never in his wildest dreams still. Bowing his head down, he then looked up as he watched each different style cruiser leave with one of them carrying her inside.
Gaz remained quiet as Zim held her against him. What was there to say?
