Once again she sits at her desk, her leg bouncing in worry. It's been months since she's received a letter from Marcel. Since she was un-daggered the first thing she did was go after Marcel. They rekindled their relationship.
Yet he decided to rebel and go to the war. Her brother was.. well is still furious and blind with rage with Marcel's decision. She knows why Marcel did it. He wanted to escape the iron fist Klaus has them all under. She wanted nothing more to do the same.
Time passes her by and still no reply comes. With each letter she sends; she establishes her love for him. How she misses him. She often reminds him that the love he would gave her, was like none other has given her. And wishes his return home soon.
Once again Rebekah finds herself at her desk. Writing what she feels to be the millionth letter that expresses her feelings. How she longs for him to return. Pleas for him to response at least one letter. Sending it is the easy part. Weeks pass and again no reply. Again she's at the desk.
'Marcel,
Why don't you reply? Are you injured? Do you have enough nourishment? I miss you… Nik and Elijah are driving me mad! Please ease my restless mind and reply. Tell me that you still love me as much as I love you. I await your response.

As she prepares to send the letter, she presses a kiss to the envelope. Hoping it would reach Marcel and finally he'll reply to her. In the letter she places her heart just for him. And no one will ever take what his is.
It's sometime when a letter reaches her. Her hands shake seeing the letter in his script. The stamps that litter the envelope makes her heart flutter. His scent clings to the paper. Opening it, she feels her heart drop.
'Rebekah,
I have been replying. Why would you assume I wouldn't? To tell you the truth; I'm not sure you would even get this letter. Klaus, maybe the reason you are not receiving them in the first place. But I have your letters. They give me comfort that you are well and not stored away. I will return to you soon. I love you too.

Rebekah brings the letter to her chest. The high of the little words that he wrote give her comfort. The reply has made her heart swell. He's been writing to her. But it's all Klaus' fault that she's been depressed.
As she whirls around she goes off to hound her brother. How dare he keep her letters from her! He'd most likely used them to line the fire pit! That Prat will get his ear chewed off for that!
