On with the story
Izumi felt like murdering the small ugly-ass pipsqueak.
Wait a second how did the troll even see Jaden there?! After all, they're all in their shinigami form therefore; they shouldn't be visible to humans.
"I have to show the others!"
The small excited boy ran back tripping on his own two feet the entire way back to the school main lounge in the Slifer dorms.
"Hey where are you going?!" The Takuto clone fumed at the young Slifer.
"To tell my friends that Jaden's alive, of course!" The bluenette said in hurry not wanting to waste any time conversing.
"Humph!" Takuto's duplicate pouted not liking being pushed aside, as Takuto later poofed his clone away, since maintaining one takes a lot of energy.
When Syrus entered the new refurnished Slifer Red dorms, the whole gang was there plus the Chancellor, Crowler, Mrs. Fontaine, and Dorthy.
"QuickJaden'saliveandhe'sanangelandhe'sbeautifulandhe'she'saliveJaden'salive!"
"Hey earth to Slifer reject are you speaking English." A pale skinned black haired Slifer duelist insulted his smaller blue haired friend.
"Just come on." Syrus whined.
"But mate we still don't why you want us blokes around." A black haired tan skinned duelist with bandage covering one his eyes replied with a slight accent.
"REALLY JUST COME ON! And Jim now's no time to be speaking Australian."
"Huh, now's no time to be speaking Australian Jim." He muttered to himself as he rolled his eyes at the memory of Jaden's own denseness highlighted within that comment.
"Syrus sometimes your just as dense as Jaden…I guess that's 'cause you've always spent the most time with him." Jim smiled to himself as he whispered that quietly.
"Syrus, how dumb do you think we are Jaden's long gone, he doesn't exist anymore, he's dead only left to serve as a forgotten memory!" A beautiful blonde hazel eyed duelist yelled to the rest of her friends.
"That isn't true, and you know, Jaden cares about all of us!" Another young well-dressed blunette replied to the angry blonde.
"C'mon Jesse who're we kidding Jaden didn't want to be with us he was probably tired of always having to play hero, always having to save our asses, never being able to show weakness when he's around us (which was all the time) we sapped him of his life, emotions, and freedom, that's why of all the ways to die he had to die like that, that way is one of the most desperate ways to die because we pushed him to be everything we wanted him to be instead of just letting him be himself. Good riddance, and may Jaden's soul rest in peace." Alexis ended solemnly.
"You've changed Lex…" Atticus said sadly.
"Shut up Atticus!"
"Why Lex?!"
"Don't call me that!"
"Don't call you what?!"
"Lex, don't call me LEX!"
"Why, WHY don't you want me to call you Lex, huh LEX?!"
Alexis immediately silenced, "because that's what Jaden used to call me…" Alexis quietly admitted to the gang, but mostly to herself.
She finally realized something important as those words naturally escaped her lips.
She, Alexis Rhodes, Queen of the Obelisk Blue, missed Jaden Yuki, the King of the Slifer Red his scent, chocolate and roses with a hint of cinnamon to be exact, his smile, his seemingly angelic looks, his laugh, his personality, his love, she missed his everything!
Why did it take her so long to realize that?!
"Guys just go see if Jaden's actually some sort of angel…" Alexis said barely audible as she had trouble believing what she just said, maybe Syrus is doing drugs and just hallucinated an image of Jaden.
Alexis sighed, of course Syrus would never abuse drugs…plus if he was she would've noticed by now.
Even Alexis couldn't deny there was an unearthly, yet holy presence amongst them.
"What did you say?" Aster Phoenix, a gray haired sapphire blue eyed teen, handsome in his own right, questioned Alexis tauntingly as he inwardly smirked to himself since Alexis indirectly admitted that she was wrong, which a rare sight.
"JUST GO ALREADY!" The blonde yelled at the top of her lungs knowing that she had just admitted she was wrong which was probably her biggest pet peeve.
'Well damn she didn't have to yell so loud!' Zane thought to himself since he was right next to Alexis when she screamed, so naturally his ears were ringing in pain, however, Blair said this aloud.
"Well God damn Alexis you didn't have to yell so loud!" The small raven haired duelist said still fuming while exiting the room with the rest the gang already outside petrified in awe.
'Who exactly is the gang?', one might ask, they are as follows:
Syrus Truesdale, Zane 'Kaiser' Truesdale, Tyranno Hassleberry, Axel Brodie, Jim 'Crocodile' Cook, Jesse Anderson, Chumley Huffington, Chazz Princeton, Blair Flannigan, Bastion Misawa, Aster Phoneix, Mindy Takahashi, Jasmine Aono, Atticus Rhodes, and last but certainly not least…Alexis Rhodes.
All these individuals have personally been changed for the better by their best friend and fellow duelist Jaden Yuki.
For all of them, after God, Jaden would be…Jaden is the main thing that saved each one of them from themselves, their struggles, and their fears without judging them or asking for anything in return.
This was exactly why they all felt that to an extent that Jaden's premature death was their faults.
"Oh my Lord!" The girls screamed, minus Alexis who was still inside, with blushes on their faces and hearts in their eyes. "Jaden's okay!"
Actually he looks better than okay! The Blair, Jasmine, and Mindy thought to themselves.
Even the guys had to admit that everything about Jaden was completely different…
Does every good person get a set of fangs and a pair of wing as…a…present?! The guys thought to themselves especially, considering that Jaden looks like a gorgeous male supermodel, when he was already handsome to begin with.
Students that were still in the middle of class ditched their classes to find out what's going on around here outside of campus. Many students began to tear up, girls (and even some boys) fangirled over him, boys took pictures of him to remember him by, plus it'd make for a cool lock screen, but alas their cameras wouldn't capture anything just the sky as if Jaden wasn't there.
The whole academy was outside just staring and appreciating their personal savior instead of staying in class the entire population of the duel academy was gawking at this heavenly sight, at his magnificent presence, except for one shallow duelist.
Four things were for sure: one: rumors will spread, two: girls will fangirl, three: one girlish looking tennis archetype duelist won't be happy, and four: anyone that slept in today had really missed a sight for sore eyes.
"Hey who are those three teens with wings that are around him as well!"
"Is the pink haired one his girlfriend?!"
"Jaden made friends with angels?!"
"Has Jaden met God before?!
"Is He as in Jesus Christ hot?" The person who asked that was 'mysteriously' hit in the head with a brick and glared at by other students.
"Do you still like fried shrimp?!"
Alexis who was still inside wondering if the commotion outside was caused by Jaden's apparently angelic presence.
He always knew how to make a grand entrance. Alexis smiled inwardly and outwardly at just the thought of Jaden.
Oh what the hey, I guess I'll just go out there to satisfy my conscious…and potentially see the guy I love whose supposed to be dead. Alexis chuckled. The weird phrases just keep on 'comin today.
Alexis couldn't see Jaden in the sky.
Maybe he was in the center of the crowd, Alexis put on a bogus sunhat, and a pair of black sunglasses so she wouldn't spotted and bombarded with questions regarding her position as Queen or her relationship with Jaden, just in case he's actually there.
Alexis was pushed and shoved out the way since nobody knew who she was and the gang was nowhere in sight.
Hmm…so this is how I'd get treated if I wasn't the Queen of the Obelisk Blue, interesting. I'll to take note of that the next time guys to ask me out or girls pretend to 'want' to be my friend. Alexis thought bitterly to herself surprised by how many fake people she was in the midst of.
Jaden, Alexis assumed, was being bombarded with multiple questions, she heard the following questions:
"Hey who are those three teens with wings that are around him as well!"
"Is the pink haired one his girlfriend?!"
"Jaden made friends with angels?!"
"Has Jaden met God before?!
"Is He as in Jesus Christ hot?" The person who asked that was 'mysteriously' hit in the head with a brick and glared at by other students, including Alexis.
Honestly, who says that? The hazel eyed girl thought to herself in disgust.
Alexis was shoved rougher and rougher the closer she got to Jaden like a sea of salt water waves just crashing into her aggressively.
Ugh I think I'm getting sea sick. Alexis thought while covering her mouth with her hand as she proceeded onwards.
"Do you still like fried shrimp?!"
Alexis smiled at the last question, but now she felt like there was a burning question she needed to get off her chest as well. Well actually there were two but she was too embarrassed to ask the second one.
"Get out of the way idiot!" A young female looking Obelisk Blue male sneered at her as he purposely tripped her, "dumb blonde". The Obelisk added in disgust.
Alexis was taken aback by who said that…she didn't even do anything to him but he still treated her like trash as if he hated her, even though if her 'disguise' was off than he'd be kissing her ass and even refer to her as his 'Obelisk pixie'.
Alexis didn't see any nearby object to grab onto to stabilize herself with and there's no way in hell she'd just cling to some random guy or gal that she doesn't even know, Alexis hates owing favors to people and her pride wouldn't allow her to either.
She wasn't dubbed the Obelisk Queen for nothing; Alexis was independent and hard-working, when life gave her lemons she works hard, when the going gets tough she works hard, when an obstacle gets in her way she works hard, and when Atticus got in her way, she beats him up hard.
Alexis was taught by her parents to never rely on someone else unless you had to because the more dependent on people you are the more superior they'll feel to you until they start calling you weak which will only lead to continuous heart break and the inability to do anything productive by yourself, especially because she was a girl.
Alexis took it upon herself to take her parents advice to heart and she did as she was told to, she never relied on anyone else including her family…she became too independent to the point when people praised and respected her, but also feared and avoided her apart from Jasmine, Mindy, Zane, and Atticus no one ever even tried to become her friend.
Until Jaden came, who she had envied for a short period of time.
How could he be popular, confident, handsome, still have so many people adore him, and have so many friends?! The blonde used to question herself in anger and in awe.
Alexis began to hang out with Jaden just to find out exactly why that was until she was honestly attracted to his kindness and optimism and the way he expressed his gratefulness to all his friends so that they feel acknowledged as significant people as well. Jaden taught her that to be truly independent you must learn to be interdependent.
The more time she spent with Jaden, the more her frozen heart seemed to melt until she was head over heels in love the sweet goofy brunette male.
Alexis was aware it wasn't gonna be that hard of a fall, but it was just going to be even more painful when she'd get to the center of the crowd just to face an illusion of Jaden…maybe some practical joke the Obelisk's probably pulled to make fun of Jaden.
"How exactly did you die Jaden?!" Alexis questioned just barely audible as closed her eyes and braced for impact, not of the floor but for reality to rear its ugly head once again.
Alexis never reached the ground, instead she found herself in a warm and gentle embrace of strong familiar arms.
The young blonde flutter her hazel eyes open, her eyes widened in shock.
"J-jaden you really are alive!" Alexis stammered with a genuine smile on her face her eyes were beginning to tear up.
"I missed you so much, why did you leave me?!" She started with a whisper but ended up shouting as she stared at his beautiful honey golden eyes, his features looking more angelic than ever with a stunning smile on his face, fangs still exposed teeth shining a bright pearly white only adding to his beauty.
"I didn't leave you; I didn't leave anybody here on purpose." Jaden's face molded itself into a sorrowful frown.
"What do you mean, on purpose, the way you died said enough." Alexis spat.
"How'd I die?" Jaden questioned earnestly as if he didn't know, which in all honesty he didn't know a thing concerning the details of his death considering the shinigami rules and what happens when you force memories as explained previously. (A/N: that was basically the last two chapters XD)
"You commited suicide." Alexis said in an even emotionless tone however, her tear stained checks begged to differ.
"The only thing I remember before my death was, asking an important question to an important person, a tall building, and seeing double of myself." Jaden quietly replied. "I'm sure I didn't commit suicide but I would love to find out what really happened." Jaden said with a small smile present on his face radiating hope.
"You DIDN'T kill yourself?!" The the whole academy repeated in shock and disbelief.
"Well answer me this…" Jaden started. "Did I have any friends?" Jaden asked.
All the student's and staff's jaws dropped of course he had friends he was the Slifer King after all, but then again he faced his fair share of bullies at this school as well.
"Of course!"
"Yeah!
"You had loads!"
"Do you have amnesia?"
Students replied his seemingly idiotic question with such sincerity it made Jaden's heart soar.
"If that's case, if I really had friends, and they really cared about me…" He closed his eyes a blissful quality present on his youthful features.
"Then I'd make sure to do my best to satisfy them and make them feel special and important to me because they'd like me for me and I'd like them for them; our friendship…our friendship would be my hearts most precious treasure! It'd be a treasure that I'd gladly lay my life on the line for any day! Being able to know that there are people apart from my deceased parents who support, rely on, and find pleasure in my happiness alone, it gives me strength! Friendship of any kind is enough to keep my heart beating; in fact it gives me something to live for!" Jaden answered with a fierce determination and passion, that only Jaden Yuki could exhibit.
