After Ever After: Chapter 3: Fantasy Boyfriend
Rory and Della's eyes widened as Rory paced the paper grass floor.
"How are we in Wonderland? HOW?" Della said, panicking. Rory groaned as he plopped on some rock.
"This is my fault. He said. "This is all my fault. I should've not dragged you into this in the first place. I really suck at being your boyfriend." He said sadly. Della shook her head as she rubbed his shoulder.
"This is not your fault Rory." She said truthfully. "It's Stephanie's. No one would be able to see it coming." She told him how it was. Rory nodded as he sighed.
"Fine." He said gruffly. "But we are gonna have to find our way out of here. If I am not mistaken, it should be in here." Rory searched his satchel to find a small dagger, handle glowing blue. Della looked at it in awe.
"What is that?" She asked, mesmerized. Rory sighed. "I never thought I had to use it again. It has been two years since I did. And I would tell you, I am really not in the mood to use it again." Della kissed his cheek.
"You'll live Rory. We both will." She reassured him. Rory nodded without saying anything. Della took the time to notice what they were wearing. "Hey Rory, did your outfit change when you were in fairytale land? Because I look like Alice and you look like...mad hatter?" Rory looked down to see him wearing a purple tuxedo and a hat. He quickly smiled.
"Yeah. This is so normal." He said truthfully. Della twirled around in the dress she wore as she smile, curtseying in the utmost fanciest way. Rory mustered a laugh.
"You look sexy." He said bashfully. Della gave a lighthearted laugh.
"There's the Rory I know." She said, pecking his cheek once more. Rory's face flashed with determination as he smiled.
"So we need to finish the story if we want to escape. So where is our first destination. We obviously skipped a few phases.." Della's eyes widened.
"Maybe we should start here."
Rory turned around to face a path that split into two directions. Of course, in the middle was a tree. And in the midst of the branches and leaves, sat a cat who grinned.
"Cheshire Cat." Rory said in shock. The cat smiled widely.
"Yes it is." He hissed, his smile never leaving his face. Rory stood up bravely.
"What path leads to the...Queen Of Heart's castle?" He asked. The Cheshire Cat smiled once more.
"No answer until you prove how smart you really are." He said, making Della stomp her foot angrily.
"A riddle. Really?! Just go on with it." She said, her voice squeaking with fury. The Cheshire Cat started to talk.
"Okay then. When is your mind alike to a fairytale?" He said, sorta mockingly if Rory had anything to say to it. Rory's mind soared a thousand miles per hour as Della thought.
"When is your mind alike to a fairytale. Rory, list some characteristics for a fairytale." Rory shrugged.
"Let's see...they have a prince, a princess, a villain, and they are usually fictional. Unless of course someone actually got poisoned by an apple." He said thoughtfully. That is when it hit Della. Della smiled in understanding.
"Fictional. They are made up. And when the mind is made up," Rory smiled. "It is like a fairytale." He finished off. The Cheshire Cat grinned.
"Congratulations." He said. "The path you shall take is right. I tell no lie. But obstacles stand your way. So I hope smartness is in your mind." And with that, the cat disappeared. But its grin stayed in the air, floating there. Rory looked at the floating smile in shock.
"What the heck..." Rory asked in surprise. Della shrugged.
"I often seen a cat without a grin, but never a grin without a cat." She prompted, likewise to what Alice said. Rory smiled as they made their way on the right path.
Hopefully, the would be able to decipher their way through the story.
Then go back to Whitechapel so they truly could warn everyone about the coming attractions.
...
And hopefully, they'd come back alive.
Hannah walked around the school, her hair flowing through the wind quite sexily. She had a mini skirt and a tank top. She looked gorgeous.
But she had darkness in her heart.
"Hey Hannah."
Hannah turned around to see Ethan, his smile piercing through her. Her eyes furiously flashed black as she smiled.
"Hey Ethie." She teased. Ethan gave her an unsure smile.
"Um, hi. Look, I wanted to ask if you had the papers ready for the next edition of Whitechapel High News. You see, I got this new article about the consecutive wins the basketball team has won. But then there are strategies I like to include. Do you know any?" He asked kindly. Hannah whipped her hair in front of her shoulder as she flashed him a smile.
"Oh Ethan." She said mockingly, circling around him. Ethan was reminded of Evil Hannah. Except this one was more...seductive. Ethan felt more at ease if he followed what she wanted. Maybe then it would make her happy. How selfless he was being right now...
"Um...Do you need something Hannah?" He asked nervously, tugging at his sleeve awkwardly. Hannah gave a hearty laugh.
"Oh Ethan..." She repeated. "So selfless. Don't you think of anyone but yourself?" She asked slowly. Ethan frowned.
"Um..." He said once again. Hannah rolled her eyes. "Fine. Don't answer. It's all cool..." She said, stroking his cheek.
"Not."
Ethan gulped. "You okay Hannah?" He asked, once again being selfless. Hannah snapped her fingers and a black staff appeared from the smoke.
"H-Hannah...s-stop..." Ethan stammered as he was pressed against the lockers. Hannah posed the staff's tip at Ethan's heart, her eyes swarming dark and shadowy as the tip of the staff pricked Ethan just slightly. A black aura was spread through Ethan's body starting from his heart. Ethan gasped as his eyes glowed black and dark. He instantly relaxed as he stood there, mesmerized.
"Now hunter..." Hannah started. "Get Snow White. And kill the person who possesses the fate with the apple" She said. Ethan nodded as he walked away, his strides confident and long. Hannah stood there, a satisfied smirk on her face. But a buzz came from her pocket mirror as she opened the compact open. Her reflection shimmered at her before swirling into a girl with familiar blonde hair.
YOU IDIOT!
Hannah stood there, registering the shock she received. The mirror women groaned.
SARAH! SARAH FOX WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THE HUNTER! ETHAN MORGAN, IS SNOW WHITE! HE IS GOING TO KILL HIMSELF, AND I NEED HIM ALIVE!
Hannah gulped. "Yes master." She stammered. The mirror women smoothened her dress as she nodded.
Do it quickly. Don't even bother with Sarah. Just get Ethan. My...accomplice is starting to catch up to me.
Hannah nodded as she shut the pocket watch and ran up to Ethan, who held a silver blade in his hand. Hannah's eyes widened; he was going to kill himself. Like he was ordered to. Hannah ran up to him and knocked the knife out. Ethan said nothing as he growled at her, darkness in his heart.
"What the heck do you think you're doing?" He spat out. Hannah placed the staff at his heart once more, clearing the darkness out and putting it back into the staff.
"Be the darkness free your heart." She said quickly. Ethan's eyes lit its usual chocolate brown as he stood there, mesmerized. Hannah saw flowers bloom around the boy, and that is when she knew he possessed a true heart once more. She felt disgusted; this is exactly what a hero would do. She was villainous. She knew that.
So why did she feel good about this?
The shadow possessing her pushed her happy thoughts away and twisted them to cruel and harmful thoughts. Hannah then lifted the staff to Ethan's mind, it sucking all its thoughts of negativity. This was going to plan...right?
"Your mind is now free of anything that shall bring you to answering 'no.'" She demanded. "You shall do anyone's will because of your selflessness. You shall be obedient to every command. But alas, that shall be a curse when obedience brings you danger. But you do not know that. Ethan, obey." Ethan nodded as he walked away with no memory of what happened. The staff fizzled away as Hannah smiled, her eyes flashing shadows in the pupils.
"Nailed it." She whispered, whisking away through the halls.
Erica cried on the park bench as Sarah rubbed her back.
"I-I...*sniff* cannot believe him...*sniff* we were so perfect!" She sobbed into Sarah's shoulder. Sarah sighed as she stroked her best friend's hair.
"Oh Erica. It will all be okay. You will be okay." She said reassuringly.
Just when she said that, Benny walked into the yard, his eyes fixed on the path ahead of him as he took a sharp glance at Erica. He sighed as he walked up to Erica. Erica looked at him in teary eyes that widened in seconds.
"Sarah. He's coming." She said quickly. Sarah looked up to see Benny, his eyes locked on Erica's. She huffed as she turned around slightly.
"Go away Benny." She said gruffly. Benny sighed.
"Um...Erin..." Erica's eyes widened.
"ERIN?!" She yelled in disbelief. A voice pounded in Benny's mind.
Seriously dude?! ERIN?! IT IS ERICA YOU DIMWIT!
Benny/Flynn gulped; this was not going well. He sighed as he started to stutter.
"I mean Erica. Sorry...I am getting nervous." He said, sending a feebly excuse. Erica turned her back on Benny as tears streamed her face. Sarah growled at Benny, her fangs shooting forward.
"You are such a jerkface Benny." She said disapprovingly.
I know right? Mental Benny, agreeing to Sarah's insult. Flynn/Benny swiped the mental voice aside as his eyes lowered to the ground in pity.
"Look Erica, I am so sorry, but there just has been a lot going o-on right now..." His eyes shook a violent pink as the mental voice started to fight back.
S-S-Stop...as long as you have the crown...I-I shall s-stay Flynn's conscious tried to reason out. But Benny's conscious thought otherwise as both girls shot up to aid the falling spellmaster.
"Benny?" Erica asked nervously, and without ease.
Benny collapsed on the spot.
The husband and wife stared blankly in the box that once contained their magic.
"But it isn't possible..." The wife stuttered in disbelief. The husband nodded. "If she uses our magic, she will fulfill the curse she brought unto our children." He said nervously. The wife sighed.
"I guess that means we will have to fight against her." The husband nodded.
"We must save our children. It was our fault they are in this situation." The wife agreed as they walked out of the house, ready to pay someone a little visit.
Stephanie was enjoying watching Rory and Della in wonderland. She always had. But when she turned to see how Hannah was doing, she gasped.
"What the..."
In the compact mirror Hannah was holding tightly in her grasp, Stephanie sensed another spirit lurking in the mirror. Her eyes glowed in bare fury as she growled, slamming the crystal ball with her fist. It broke at contact, dissolving to ash.
She sighed. "Another crystal ball to waster over fury." Stephanie groaned as she placed another crystal ball down and called forth the images of wonderland. She glanced at the two blondes in Wonderland. She looked at the other one, who looked up and smirked, as if the person was looking straight at Stephanie.
"You will not get away with this." She growled, waving her hands through the crystal ball to send forth a dark magical forest, likewise to the one in The Wizard Of OZ. A little crossover would show them.
Stephanie knew she would beat the other mirror person.
Or her name isn't Stephanie Crowne.
A/N- I added two new fairytales. Guess which ones? One is more like a folktale though...oh well!
Drop a review and I will see you on Saturday!
