Twilight stared into the empty room feeling like the world was crashing down on her. Where were Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie? Was this the right room? Yes it was the same room. Then where were they?! Twilight noticed a doctor walking down the hall and went have him.
"Doctor, doctor sir, the ponies that went in this room. Do you know where they went?" Twilight asked feeling panicked for not knowing what was going on.
"As a matter of fact, Twilight, I'm looking for them myself." Discord turned around to face her. He was in pony mode but nothing could disguise his yellow, crazed eyes; not even chaos itself.
"Discord, I'm so glad to see you." Twilight quickly hugged him then walked in pace down the hall alongside him. "So you have no idea where they went to?" Twilight whispered; unsure why, but not wanting to be overheard.
"None. I've been trying to sniff them out with my sniffer here." He showed her a leash in his clawed hoof that had a dog shaped nose at the end of it. "But with all this hospital odor," He wrinkled his nose at the consistent smell of the hospital that always seeps into your coat and mane. "My poor sniffer is confused." With that, the creature turned abruptly into a wall.
"Couldn't you use your other magic to find them? Something that actually works!" Twilight huffed. She was getting to the point where she needed to see her friends, but all she found was a Lord of chaos and his sniffer. Discord frowned at her, but made his sniffer disappear and pulled out a crooked telescope.
"This telescope sees through anything you wish." He gave it to Twilight who put her eye to it to see if Discord was lying. When she saw a full grown Discord shape inside the pony body in front of her like an x-ray, she knew he was telling the truth. She looked around until…
"There they are!" Twilight exclaimed looking ahead and seeing Rainbow in a bed with her legs propped up and a Pinkie, Fluttershy, and Rarity by her side. Twilight took off running with Discord on her tail.
"Come on!" Rainbow huffed as the two friends entered "Get. Out. Of. ME!" She pushed again. Discord fainted as there was a squelch and a small plop then…
"WAHH!" Cried out the little colt in the doctor's grip.
"Congratulations Miss Rainbow Dash, it's a healthy boy." The doctor informed her before cutting the cord and handing him off to a nurse.
"Wait, can't I see him?" Rainbow asked, over her friends' cheering and congratulations.
"Well, they need to clean him dear. He is covered in um…" Rarity tried to find the right word "Undesired matter at the moment." She finished was a stressed smile.
"And they'll also need to record everything." Fluttershy added, helping Twilight help Discord up.
"Okay." Rainbow muttered a little hurt she couldn't be the first pony to hold her own baby colt. Then she remembered "Twilight, how's Applejack? How are the twins? Is everything okay? Did it go alright? What's happening?" Rainbow yawned then relaxed when the princess of friendship came to her bedside.
"Every pony is fine, Applejack is in recover, I assume and your twins are resting." Twilight informed her softly.
"Good." Rainbow yawned again.
"Come on every pony, I remember that feeling and it's just best to leave her be for right now." Rarity informed them, leading the charge in exiting.
"Rest up, Rainbow." Fluttershy whispered at the door with Discord who just nodded.
"Relax, Rainbow, the birth is over." Twilight noted softly.
"Sleep well, Dashie." Pinkie mumbled when every pony had left. When no pony was looking, she bent down and kissed Rainbow's forehead. And when she left, she knew her feelings were satisfied at last. When all was quiet, the lights flickered and a curtain suddenly flew open. The moon was shining bright and in it was Luna, watching Rainbow rest.
"Good job, Rainbow Dash. You have done well." Luna spoke to her from on high.
Rainbow turned in her sleep towards the window and muttered a groggy "Thanks Princess." before yawning again then snoring as the curtain shut itself silently.
