A/N: Merry Two Days After Christmas!

I kept on postponing this chapter for some reason, even though I had finished this just on Christmas.

In other news, the lack of reviews is getting to me.

I know this story isn't that bad, but I think it has something to do with the fact that I think I've made this story too complex.

I blame the OCs. Actually, I blame myself. I just haven't been able to characterize them well enough. Or so I believe. Honestly, I have characters designed for them and everything, but getting it to work is the hard part. Hell, I've been too busy concentrating on plot development (I think I've slowed down over the past couple of chapters) to even make my OCs decent. As it's been said, they're getting there, but they are nowhere near good. Perhaps I will edit the previous chapters. I'm not sure.

Just... For now, here is a new chapter. I don't feel too wonderful about it.

"Morning sleepyhead." Susan, why are you still in here?

"What the... Were you in here the entire night...?"

"Most of it. I left for a little bit, and let's just say some really interesting stuff happened in between." she smiles.

I'm not convinced.

"N-no... I wasn't being a perv." now she's blushing. Haaaaw... haw... haw... "No, really. Please don't even mention this to anyone."

I shrug and get up. I'm still wearing my suit from the feast, what else is new?

"C-could you get out for a second?" I shrug.

"Umm... Okay...?" she opens the door and leaves for a second, prompting me to turn toward the closet and open it.

Let's see what's in here...

Random robes... Nah.

A kilt? I'm part Irish, but no. Just no.

A full suit of armor? Why is that even in a closet?

Good, something that actually looks reasonable. A sort of blue vest with a navy blue pair of pants. It conflicts with my hair, but it will do.

I take of the other suit and put on my new clothes, quickly taking the old pair of clothes and discarding them in a nearby basket.

"You can come back in now." I announce.

Seconds later, Susan opens the door and prances inside.

"You're awake now, so now can you talk?" she asks.

"Fine. Knock yourself out. Question one?"

She stops and turns for a second. "Okay. Question one: Anyone else besides Geoff here?" Yeah, she never talked to Geoff, and had only known about him because I had mentioned him to her.

"Yes. There are others, but I have no idea who they are." I shrug. "How about I ask a question how?"

"Okay."

Alright then. "Okay... Where were you found by the Shepherds?" Definitely a good question... I guess.

"They never said what the place was called. It was South of Ylisstol, a bit North of the Outrealm gate. It was before they found most of the other Shepherds."

Okay, so she was found at Southtown? Why couldn't I have been found there? I mean, aren't main characters always found at Southtown? But she's been here for months longer than me... Which means that she was already in Ylisse when I had awoken. Maybe Geoff was the same, I'm not sure.

"Next question." Susan nods. "You never told me where you have been this entire time. When did you get here, and what were doing this entire time."

"Fine, but I have three questions next."

And so I did the untimely explanation that I'm probably going to have to do multiple times from here-on out. I honestly hope that you didn't insert every single person that I know.

... You know I inserted others? DAMMIT SYGIL! Hehe.

"Good, I get three questions in a row." I stop and think for a minute. This may be a waste of a question, but... "Have you played Fire Emblem Awakening before? It would help if you did."

"No. Is that what this place is based around? Spoil the game for me." Screw it, I'm not going to tell her about the future children.

"The Ylisse wins at the end. There. That's the end." I smile and laugh, earning a scowl from Susan. "In all seriousness, this doesn't mean that there won't be any death."

"I wouldn't be surprised if someone here died." she frowns. Good, so nobody has died yet? That means I've lucked out.

"Next. Is anyone married? Spill the beans." I must get the updates on shipping.

"Eh? Why do you want to know that? ... I shouldn't ask." she pauses and turns around, tapping her chin in recollection. "I think I heard about Virion and Miriel being together, but I don't talk to either of them. Ricken and Maribelle are a yes, I think. And I think you already know about Chrom and Sumia. I think Sully was also married, but I never see her with any men. I can't say I'd be too surprised if she was with a woman, though." she turns back to me before shrugging. "Anyways, ask me one more question and we can go."

Kellam. She must be paired with Kellam. Kjelle has way too much in common with Kellam for that to not be canon. Ricken and Maribelle aren't surprising either, and Virion and Miriel... I'm fine with that pairing. Mainly because I had originally paired Lon'qu with her and I regret that pairing in every way imaginable. Seriously, what was I thinking when I had done that?

"Okay. Last and most certainly not least... What was that interesting thing you were talking about when I woke up?"

She stops and I see a bit of red cover her face. "Do you r-really want to know?"

I nod.

"E-er... Well..." she lifts up her hand in response and- OMGFJOKADHLFIDAGHLKAJDFSDJF

A ring. She has a ring.

"Wow. With who-"

"Lon'qu. He proposed to me last night. Heh. I'm surprised that he was the one to ask. Actually, I'm surprised that he proposed before we even started dating. It doesn't matter though. Someone as hot as him instantly deserves a yes."

My face is burning now. Fucking incapability of hiding embarrassment. That will be the flaw that will get me killed... of embarrassment.

"I told you that you wouldn't want to know." She's right. This makes it entirely awkward now.

One, because we are actually really close friends.

Two, because we were actually 'together' for a day. Remember how I said that I sucked at romance? Well let's just say that I was really confused and had absolutely no idea as to what I could have done. We broke up one day later. We didn't even go on a date. Yes. I was that bad.

I don't want to think about this anymore.

"L-Let's just go. Don't you have a fiancé to talk to?" I slip on some random shoes that are conveniently my foot size and open the door. 'Course I open it far enough for her to get out before me.

"Nice talk. See ya." she smiles and walks away. She's married, huh? I wonder what their future child will be like. Safe to assume that they'll have Lon'qu's black hair, or maybe vice-versa. I don't know if classes will work the same. I think Susan just learned how to use staves. Perhaps their child will be able to use swords and staves.

Just... Like... Ayla...

HOLYSHITCRAPMANURESCATADFJIFJSLVKNFSLJD:LFJDS:LGFISJFGFMSVU-

IT MAKES SENSE NOW!

Black hair, swords, mother being a Falcon knight...

Ayla... IS their child...

"Ravel, you look pale." Ayla? OH GODS THE CONVIENIENCE!

"U-Uhh... I-It's just... Er... Nothing... Yeah. Nothing." I feel a bead of sweat pass down my face, and I force a smile onto my face.

"Um... If you insist..." She's concerned. Just.. Oh gods, I can't just reveal the information without causing some sort of plot crash. Just... Wait for her to leave...

Gulp. .. Did I just think gulp?

Okay, she's gone. First things first, re-round the information and confirm my theory.

The past seems to fit. Though she has been a bit vague on what happened before we met her, the hints definitely seem to support this. Besides, why wouldn't she be vague about her past? And her voice... Yeah, the voice is definitely a lot like Susan's. And feature-wise, she seems to have the face of Lon'qu. Actually, a lot of her features remind me of him. Including her height.

Susan's short. Veeerrry short. Not deformed short, just shorter than the average person. Almost like Ricken. But slightly taller.

Sigh, maybe I need a walk in town to think.

I'd better not find any Annas this time. I left all of my gold at Myra. I have not a clue how, either.

"R-Ravel? Could it be?!" Uh-oh.

I turn to my left to see some stereotypical old man staring at me.

"It is!" he screams. "It is you! We all thought you were slaughtered by those Plegian barbarians! How did you escape?"

Uh-oh. Potential plot breaking material.

I need to run.

NEED TO RUN! GET OUUUUTTTTA HEEEERRRREEEE!

"No! Come back!" the man's voice becomes a mere breeze as I escape. My speed is wonderful, I must add. My stamina sucks, but I am still one of the fastest people I know. And for someone who never really did much physical activity, I was a lot stronger than most people like me. I can't say I know why.

I'm in the castle courtyard now. Nobody else seems to be here.

I could use some peace.

I yawn and sit onto a nearby bench. It's a really beautiful garden. It has the typical hand-trimmed hedges, a fountain with stone pegasi, and Lucina.

...Lucina?

"Where could it be?" Wait, she doesn't see me.

... Wait... She's looking for something? ...Hrm...

I think I know what it is.

I get up and approach the doors, scanning the grass for any contrast.

Bingo. Got it.

I sneak toward the center of the garden again, trying to avoid sight.

And then I step on a twig. Of course that cliché had to happen.

"Who's there?!" she pulls out Falchion rather quickly and turns around, yet still giving me enough time to duck behind the nearby fountain for cover.

...Why am I hiding again? She more than likely knows who I am, or at least may have met my future child.

I peek out from behind the fountain. "Just me." my voice is a mere squeak. Time travel sucks. "And I think you may be looking for this." I get into her view and hold out a broken mask. I guess I just ruined the Hot Spring Scramble conversation between her and Robin. Oh well.

Her eyes widen, and she quickly puts away Falchion. "T-Thank you." she looks at me, and I instantly notice her Brand.

Unfortunately, she's now aware that I have seen her Brand.

"Oh gods!" she turns and covers her face, causing me to back away slowly. She turns her head toward me, yet not uncovering her face. "Speak to nobody of this."

I don't see why I should tell anyone. They are going to find out anyways. "You have my word."

With that, she runs away, presumably to not be seen until-

Wait, why is she stopping?

"How did you know?" What? Does she mean the mask? Or...?

"About?"

"The future. Of Grima. Of everything? How was it so?" ..What? Uh... How do I safely respond to this?

Silence... Good enough.

"Or are you not of this world? How would you have known about so many details? Of Walhart? Of Grima? Or even of our existence? What are you hiding?"

... "I have my ways... I guess." Good enough.

She frowns and walks away, presumably not to be seen until Chapter 13.

And what have I gotten myself into?

A/N: Ended sooner than I thought it would. I was originally going to introduce another OC POV, but ended up not doing it.

Besides, Ayla's a future child? Who would have thought? Actually, I dropped enough hints to the point where I thought at least someone would think so. Once again, I wish there would be some speculation here.

Anyway, a bit of the Christmas spirit has rubbed off on me, so I am thinking about including a fanmade OC.

I'm not positive, but given the amount of OCs here right now, I don't see why not.

Just don't include them in reviews, or even message me about them yet. Actually, forget the latter, I need someone to talk to.

I'm serious, don't include submissions in reviews.

Anyways, I'll have another chapter by tomorrow, or maybe later tonight if you're lucky. I'm going and giving you a heads-up unlike last time, so you won't end up skipping this chapter... Maybe. (Hopefully, this promise won't be broken.)
