Soundwave Meets the Internet
What was the meaning? He couldn't understand it. Everything had some sort of meaning, whether it was in music videos, books, or even paintings. Everything had a meaning. Yet, this didn't; it was random and filled with both good and bad things.
First it started out happy and somewhat exciting, but then the 3- D effects kicked in and the sound of a violin whining echoed from the speakers. Pretty soon the puppets started to play with intestines, and blood. Smearing the words, like 'Death,' on the coffee table.
Soundwave still couldn't understand the video's meaning. 'Don't Hug Me, I'm Scared,' was a video with three puppets trying to be creative with this talking note pad. They talked about different shapes and colors and how green wasn't a creative color. What the frag did that mean?
Soundwave struggled to understand the meaning, but sadly came up empty. He'll have to get professional help. Luckily, he knew who to turn to.
…
"I see you received the same note as well," Knockout frowned at the sound of Starscream's voice. Why was he here?
"Yes, I was summoned to try and decipher a code of some sort. I'm guessing the same goes for you?"
The seeker chuckled, "Yes, some imbecile has dared to challenge my intelligence with this mediocre video. They will soon see I have the greatest mind that surpasses Lord Megatron.
"Right…" Knockout turned to face the large white screen. 'And people call me crazy.'
"So what do you think the prize is, Knockout?" Starscream smirked moving stand next to his subordinate.
"I'm not sure, you?"
"It might be the key that will ensure my domination over Megatron!" The slender mech busted into evil laughter, rubbing his servos together.
Knockout rolled his optics, Starscream was clearly delusional. He must have drunk some bad Energon.
The screen flashed to life, and a number countdown began.
Three…
Two…
One…
An image of three puppets sitting at the kitchen table, flooded the screen. There was little sound, only a ticking clock.
Knockout raised an eye brow, "What in the name of Primus is going-"He was cut off by the seeker.
"Quit," Starscream hissed. "This is part of the code." He waved his servo at the different objects surrounding the room, flashing into focus.
Knockout didn't' understand any of this. How did it involve a code, it was completely random.
The notepad flipped open revealing a happy kid-like face.
"What's your favorite idea? Mine is being creative," it sang.
"How do you get the idea?" Asked the yellow puppet, his voice followed the beat of the song.
"I just try to think cre-ativ-ely"
The image suddenly changed. The little note pad has two black arms, pointing a pencil at the fruit basket located in the center of the table.
"Now when you look at this orange, tell me, please, what do you see?"
"It's just a boring old orange." The black bird said. His voice was scratchy and high pitched.
"Maybe to you, but not to me," a small wiggly bubble appeared with a smiling orange inside. "I see a silly face," the drawing of the orange sprouted two legs. "Walking a long and smiling at me."
The bird was obviously confused, "I don't see what you mean."
"Because you're not thinking creatively." The notepad flipped a few pages up showing off colorful strings attached to his head. "Say, take a look at my hair."
The group gasped, "Cool."
"I use the hair to express myself."
The tallest puppet didn't seem enthused by this idea. "That sounds really boring."
"I use my hair to express myself." The notepad repeated with a tiny hint of annoyance in his musical tone.
The image changed again. This time the notepad was standing next to the window, facing the group of puppets, pointing a pencil to the window.
"Now, when you stare at the clouds in the sky, don't you find it exciting?"
"No," the group said in union.
"Come on take another look."
The trio gasped in amazement, "I can see a hat. I can see a cat. I can a man with a baseball bat." With each thing they spotted the clouds shifted to the named object.
"I can a dog. I can a frog. I can see a ladder leaning on a log."
They were back sitting at the table again. The notepad obviously pleased. "I think you're getting the hang of it now." He flipped his pages again. It was drawing of a brain with arrows pointing it to the words time, with a clock substituting for the 'I'. This made it spell the word 'Tome', instead of 'time.'
"Using your minds to have a good time,"
The yellow puppet had already started using his imagination with some paint and brush. "I might actually paint a picture of a clown."
"Wow, there, friend, you might need to slow down," said the notepad, a bucket of black paint rolled over the picture.
"Here is another good tip."
"Yeah?"
"Of how to be a creative wise kid." The notepad flipped another page of his face, there were pieces of sticks and leaves with a circle chart of different colors.
"Collect some leaves and sticks and arrange them in your favorite color."
And so they did.
"Blue."
"Red."
"Green."
"Green is not a creative color."
Knockout couldn't help but nod in agreement. "That is true."
"There's one more thing you need to know." The little booklet was sitting on top of the fridge this time. "Before you let your creativity flow. Listen to your heart, listen to your brain. Listen to the voices in your brain. Come on, guys, let's get creative!"
Everything thing became 3-D for a second and the puppets were using multiple utensils such as paints, glitter and some more to make their ideas come to life.
Images flashed over the screen nearly randomly.
The music shifted to a whiny violin noise, as the puppets made their master pieces.
Both Decepticons found themselves frozen in place as the puppet trio uses a human heart in their arts.
They were going crazy, slicing open cake filled with human intestines and dancing in a circle. They smeared the word 'death' over and over again on the walls.
…
Soundwave hesitantly knocked on the door, before peaking inside. The first thing he saw was the backs of his co-workers.
"Knockout? Starscream?" He was kind of scared, but he could play it off, he'll just say that he was sent looking for them by Lord Megatron and then he could ask what they were doing. He just went along with the conversation then he could get his answers on the video's meanings.
The two mechs didn't move an inch. Soundwave inwardly frowned. What was wrong with them? He moved in for closer inspection.
Soundwave could feel his spark stop at their dull almost lifeless facial expression. "You guys okay?" He waved a servo in front of their eyes. No reaction.
"Scrap," Soundwave cursed. "That's the fifth reaction I've had today.
AN: Thank you LtSprinkles for the suggestion! :D I don't own anything as you guys may already know. Anyways, the video 'Don't Hug Me, I'm Scared,' belongs to Don't' Hug Me, I'm Scared. You can watch, but if you skipped through the intense parts of the story, (I honestly don't blame you) then you might want to be careful about watching it. It's pretty intense and random. R&R if you can and let me know what I should write about next! :D Love you guys!
