Wow two follower in the first hour AND a review! Awesome! Thanks! SO MUCH!
Here's the next chapter for ya, BTW, this story is kinda AU, just kind of. I tweaked some things here and there so yah, such as only parts of season 3 has happened and other parts didn't, you'll get which later, stuff like that.
The sun rose from behind some hills somewhere, slowly climbing up the sky making it change into several different colors as it did, bringing the morning and a fresh feeling to the world as it always had since the beginning of time.
Slowly the world of Ninjago awoke and started going about it's life as it always did. Somewhere nearer to the naturel part of this world, in a smooth marble and bamboo built monastery building, a strangely put together family was getting about their own mornings.
In one of the rooms, a young man of around twenty and two was hanging over his black sheeted bed. His muscled arm was thrown over his eyes to block the suns rays as they came crawling into the room, revealing the clothes and weapons that lay all around.
The sun, however, would have it's way, making sure no matter which way he turned it's light was in the way of comfortable sleep, that came with the calm dark.
He groaned and tossed his blanket over trying to hide, it seemed he'd succeeded as his mind drifted off to the dream world again right before he was torn away from it by a loud bang and command from the other side of his door.
"Cole! Get up, it's past sunrise! Plus, ya missed breakfast..."
The young man let out a loud groan before throwing the cover on the floor, he sat up, his hair and eyes a blurry mess as he yawned stretching his bare top half.
"Hey Cole! You up yet?" The voice came again.
"Yah, I'm up, cut it out would ya, sheesh..." His gruff voice snapped back as he stood up, stretching again, "Don't you people know how to have patience." He grouched as he threw open his door, revealing a medium, lightweight young man with bright teasing blue eyes and light brown hair combed to the side.
"Hey! Your up, great! by the way, did I mention I at- I mean you missed breakfast." He gave the black haired male in front of him a cheeky grin before he zipped off down the hall.
Cole groaned and rubbed his messy mane of thick black hair as he stumbled down the hall after his so called friend.
"That's kind of weird don't you think? I mean, it's been so quiet around Ninjago lately. You'd think after defeating the overlord and getting powers things would be crawling with danger." A Young girl with shiny, black hair was talking to a young man who was lounging on the couch behind her.
"Don't! You'll jinx it Nya! When was the last time we got to just hang around anyway." He snapped at the young girl.
She rolled her eyes, and flipped her short cut hair "Aw come on Kai, you're getting old," She poked his chest and pulled a lock of his unruly brown hair, "You have to admit it though, things are really boring now."
Kai stood up and rubbed his hair, "Yep, there it goes, ya jinxed it." He threw his hands up in exasperation, "My little sister, the jinxer, oh great, now an asteroid is probably gonna land on us or something." He huffed just as someone entered the room.
"What'd she jinx?" The blue eyed person asked as he looked over at the two siblings.
Nya rolled her bright brown eyes, "Kai's just being paranoid, I did not jinx anything. I'm just stating the facts. Sheesh, drama queen." She snapped as she stomped past both males.
"Ugh, little sisters." Kai rolled his own brown eyes as he adjusted his red ninja suit.
"Aw, come on Kai, why'd you have to go and upset her, I was planning to take her out for lunch today."
Kai rolled his eyes at his protest, "Seriously Jay? What's this taking my sister out every day business, what are you planning?" He eyed the blue clad Ninja before him, his older brother instincts kicking in.
Jay gave him a mockingly sweet smile, "Planning? Why Kai, what ever do you mean?"
Kai groweled.
Jay laughed, "Ok, ok, ya got me, I'm planning an early engagement to your beautiful sister."
That got him. Jay knew it would, after all he was the best at pushing peoples buttons and pulling jokes on them. His favorite punch line was Kai and marriage to his sister... It was a joke now, but Jay planed to change that soon. Hopefully.
Meanwhile, Kai had started on a yelling rampage as Jay blocked him out with his goofy daydreams as yet another person walked into the main room.
A tall, white clad person, with a shock of sticking up white blond hair and ice blue eyes entered the room, glanced at the scene in front of him, seeing it as uninteresting, returned to his previous objective.
"Good Morning." He stated to no one in particular.
Jay turned towards him, completely ignoring the fuming Kai behind him, "It's not a 'good morning' Zane, it's a 'great morning!" He finished with a dramatic flourish of his hand that ended up hitting someone behind him, omitting a loud 'OW'.
"Whoops, sorry Cole, didn't see you there." Jay grinned as he practically danced out of the room to go find Nya.
Cole stared after him, rubbing his sturdy nose, "What's up with him?" He asked jerking a thumb after Jay.
Zane shrugged, "I'm not sure, but it probably has something to do with the fact that Kai's hair is on fire." He said in a deep monotone voice.
Cole looked at Kai, who was trying to calm down, and nodded, completely understanding, as Kai continued to grumble to himself.
"If that little dipstick thinks he's worth my sisters time, let alone worthy enough to marry her-" He continued mumbling some in cohort words afterwards, flopping on the couch.
Cole shrugged it off and turned to the peaceful friend, "Sooo, what was for breakfast?" He asked Zane nonchalantly, as he leaned his muscled body against the counter.
"Eggs, bacon, and freshly squeezed orange juice." Zane stated, simply.
Before Cole could answer their Sensei walked into the room, "Good morning my students." The old man with a long white beard and mustache came hobbling in with his cane, "Does anyone know where my dear young nephew could have gotten to?" He asked in a gentle, slightly raspy voice.
"What Lloyd? Naw, he's probably out mountine climbing with his dad or something." Cole shrugged as he went towards the fridge.
Sensei Wu stroked his beard, "Hum, perhaps. Where is Misako?"
Kai tilted his head, "I don't know she hasn't been in since this morning. Said something 'bout visiting an old friend or somethin' like that."
Zane watched their elderly teacher carefully, "Are you all right Sensei? Is there a special reason your asking?"
The old man lifted his eyes to his stoic student, "No, I just... I suppose I did have a troubled sleep last night and-"
Footsteps were heard. Fast and hard.
All three ninja's and master stiffened and looked towards the monasteries door.
In the next instant An elderly women, with the gracefulness of a young person still about her, came bursting in the room. Her breathing was fast, her eyes wild, her usually tidy, soft graying hair ruffled out.
"Wu." She addressed Sensei, "It's gone! The Eye Of Neero. Gone!"
Neither of the young Ninja's reacted, seeing as they had no idea what she was talking about. But the seriousness of the matter slapped them in their faces when their beloved Sensei turned purple, gasped, and fell lifeless on the floor...
