A/N) Here you go my lovely readers a special thanks to everyone who faved, reviewed and followed me, or/and my story. You guys are so cool.
Sorry this chappie is so short, but I need the plot to get moving and to do that I have to throw in short chapters with small but important pieces.
Hope ya like!
"Come on Guys where almost there." Jay shouted as he stumbled on a rock.
Kai was still out from the impact of his head to the rock solid wall, Cole had him draped over his shoulders, still running, but a tad slower then he liked. Suddenly he came in contact with Zane's back.
"Wait!"
"Ugh, what the heck? What's wrong Lloyd?" Cole growled as he adjusted Kai's weight. He was getting heavier by the minute.
"Mom! We forgot Mom, we have to go back guys, we can't leave her, Dad... Please." the boy was practically frantic as he tried to shove his way back down the dimly lit corridor.
"Hold on the Lloyd, we can't just march back there, that cracked nut is after our blood and-"
"I told you Jay, we aren't leaving without her." Lloyd's green eyes sparked with stubborn determination as he headed back down the hall, despite the footsteps becoming louder.
Zane sighed, "That is why he is the Green ninja. Come we have to follow him."
"But- what about Kai? In case you forgot he's out cold." Cole growled out, sweat out of fear and slight exertion dripping down his brow.
Zane nodded, "Here, if we hide him here they won't find him."
The adjusted Kai in a tight out of the way dark corner, then with a deep breath they followed Lloyd back inside.
"What normal person goes BACK into the lions den." Jay grumbled as he carefully picked his way after them.
A yelp from deeper inside made them burst into a run. Jay gasped as he saw Lloyd get punched in the jaw by the shadow person.
Cole and Zane leaped into the fight to help their little friend. But the shadow was having none of it. With incredible speed she kicked Cole in the chest and dodged Zane's counter attack.
With a sudden snap of anger Jay growled and grabbed her by her wrists before he threw her onto the ground.
"I've had just about enough of you, you slimy good for nothing-" A sharp kick to his jaw sent him sprawling.
The shadow flipped to her feet and stood waiting, watching, her eyes glowing dangerously. Zane wondered if she was entirely human. He could feel his stamina losing on him the harder and longer they fought but she... she never stopped.
Cole snapped him out of his thoughts with a yell as he grabbed the Shadows on coming leg and twisted her into the ground.
This seemed to stun her for a second before she pulled Cole's ears and slammed her head against his. Cole went reeling backwards a small crack of blood began to trickle down.
That was it.
Zane saw the offensive approach was not going to work. He grabbed jay and Lloyd and dragged them away, Cole staggered behind. The shadow wasn't about to let that happen. But Zane had his own surprises up his sleeve. He turned, shot a thick wall of ice, stopping her cold, pun intended, then he hurried to Kai so they could find another way out.
A loud explosion from behind nearly knocked them off their feet, but neither ninja turned to find out what it was.
"You... You let them GET AWAY!" Dyron blew up. He shot a million red bolts into the air, breaking and smashing anything they hit. His furry radiated off of him like sparks in an electric tower. His eyes a burning red as his slaves cowered in front of him. Croc, he'd spare, he was useful, for now, but her... He'd always thought her as extra, replaceable.
"Croc." He barked steely, "Dismissed." The hulking body raised itself and quickly disappeared out the damaged room.
The Shadow watched tensely as a dark aura enveloped her body, "You, on the other hand, have failed, when I told you not to." His eyes were ice cold fire that burned, "Now, you'll pay for it." He seethed as his power began to glow even more.
The Shadow did nothing but excepted punishment...
"You guys couldn't have listened to me? No, you had to go down here in this stupid dark hole, to fight this stupid dark guy, and get lost in this stupid dark hall way like cave." Jay as ranting as the ninja searched for Misako and hopefully a way out.
Neither ninja was paying much attention to him at the moment and Jay knew it. But he didn't care, this was the only way to let out his bubbling fear. Fear of death, fear of never getting out, fear of losing his friends, fear of... never seeing Nya again. He felt his stomach churn. He never even got to tell her how much he... cared.
"Jay? Jay are you ok? You stopped talking." Kai's voice reached his ears, slightly groggy because he had just come to with a massive headache.
"Yah, I'm just... thinking." jay responded, for once not in the mood for a smart comment.
"Oh." Was the simple answer.
Maybe they all felt the constricting darkness weighing heavily on their bodies and minds.
Suddenly the echoing silence was broken when Cole stumbled and the ground gave way underneath his feet. He let out a sharp yell as he tried to catch himself, to no avail. His friends were at a loss to help, since they couldn't really see him.
A loud thud told them that he hadn't fallen far.
"Cole? Are you all right?" Zane called down what he figured was the hole.
"Yah..." I think I landed on something. Stay there guys, don't move or you'll come down too." He instructed, "Hang on, maybe I can find a door or some way to climb back up." A loud smack followed by a groan, "Ow... hang on, I think I'm getting somewhere-" As he spoke Cole's voice began to grow weaker, further away, as if he was walking to far. Soon his friends couldn't hear him at all, and he couldn't hear them.
"Great, now we lost Cole AND Misako. This is just grand." Jay threw himself on the hard stone ground, "I hate this place." He grumbled covering his face with his knees.
Zane, Lloyd and Kai all sat down next to him. The urge to give up was suddenly to strong to resist. What could they do now? They were lost, in the dark, losing each other one by one... pretty soon that nut case would find them and kill them all off. They were as good as dead anyway.
Things had never looked this hopeless and... and dark before.
