I'm so sorry I haven't updated, things have been crazy busy over here. Starting to feel better so I should be updating more frequently.

Chapter 10

A month later

Amy POV

I was so heartbroken a couple weeks ago when I went to the doctor and found out that my home pregnancy test gave me a false positive. I mean at first I didn't think I was ready for another baby but when I found out about it I was so excited. I guess it was for the best since my marriage with Ricky has crumbled to the ground. Ricky took the news a lot better than expected but then again he doesn't have time to even give a second thought about it. I hope he is happy with all that money, it seems to be all he cares about.

Tonight I am heading over to Jay's, once I get there he has a nice candlelit dinner. My Herve Leger Kierra V-Neck Dress hugs all my curves perfectly. When I walk through the door he comes up from behind me, wraps his arms around waist and pulls me to him. He nibbles on my ear lobe and whispers, "You look so hot in that dress." I can tell he is turned on because his little friend is digging into my hip. I turn to him and peck him on the lips; I chuckle and say, "Down boy."

We take our seats at the table and he laughs, "I'm sorry, I couldn't help myself, that dress just looks wow."

We enjoy a lovely dinner prepared by his housekeeper/cook. Jay looks troubled about something so I ask, "What is on your mind?" Jay frowns and finally says, "I haven't wanted to push you but we have been dating again for a month, I know it is nothing serious yet but are you at least going to file for divorce anytime soon. I don't want to build on this if you are just going to leave me again for him."

I sit for a moment thinking of what to say, "I know, I need to file. It's just John will be so upset..."

Jay says through gritted teeth, "Are you sure you aren't just using John as an excuse! I know that it is tough but he is a kid and will eventually get over it."

I let out a sigh, "You don't know how much he loves Ricky."

He rolls his eyes at me and says, "He will get over it! Fuck, I don't know what to do! We finally reconnect and it is always the same shit! You can never let go of that asshole no matter how much he has hurt you!"

A tear begins to fall down my cheek and I say, "We both have had too much wine. Please just calm down babe." His anger disappears but I see a different kind of fury. He picks me up off my chair and starts kissing me, like his life depends on it. My legs are wrapped around his waist and he has me pinned against the wall and he continues to furiously attack my lips, he is now sucking on my neck. He starts to yank on my dress to get it off. He caresses my face and looks me straight in the eye, his eyes blazing. He says, "You are mine, now."

I try to get out of his hold because this isn't how I want my first time with him to be. We are both drunk and he is angry. My first attempt is unsuccessful so I push harder on his chest to get him off me. He is 6'2 and pure muscle so this isn't an easy task. I yell, "Stop it, I'm not ready!"

He looks up at me confused, like he doesn't understand a word I said. I say, "We can't do this, not like this!"

He releases me, and then punches a hole in the wall.

I go to grab my purse to leave, and he grabs my arm.

He looks scared and asks, "Where are you going? I thought Ricky has John tonight?"

I say, "I need to go, you are drunk and upset. You are scaring me."

He laughs, "I would never hurt you Amy! I'm sorry I got out of hand."

I say, "I just want to go to bed, I'm so tired."

He pushes the hair out of my face and says, "I will carry you to sleep on my bed, I will sleep in the guest bedroom."

I laugh, "I can walk you know."

He laughs, "I know silly."

I pout, "I don't want to sleep alone. Will you snuggle with me?"

He smiles his all American beautiful boy smile and says, "I would love too"

Without another word, he picks me up and carries me to his bed and holds me all night long.

Ben POV

I finally have a two week break from my book tour. I just got in last night and it feels so good to be able to hold my wife all night long. Be able to put the kids to bed together each of us reading them their favorite stories. Adrian comes in the room smiling ear to ear, "Husband, your breakfast is ready!"

She is walking to our bathroom and turns on the shower, I peek inside to say good morning. I look over at my wife who is in her bath robe, her hair is a bun and she doesn't have an ounce of make-up on.

I say, "Damn, I'm the luckiest man in the whole world. You are so beautiful."

She leaps into my arms, I kiss her forehead.

I ask, "Are the kids still asleep?"

She says, "Yes, they love to sleep in on the weekends."

I smirk and say, "Maybe, I will shower with you before breakfast."

She laughs and says, "So much energy Mister. I thought you would be worn out from last night.

I quickly reply, "I have plenty of energy to go around."

We take a nice hot shower together and then get the kids up for breakfast.

We decide to make it a family day at the park.

Brooke is a bit fussy today so she is there sitting with Adrian playing with her Ipad. Blake is a ball full of energy; we are kicking around a soccer ball. We are laughing having a blast. I can't help but look over at my wife who is looking at us with so much love. God I have missed her so much.

After the park we decide to go visit Camille and my dad.

Jack POV

Kayla is spending some time in Florida with some family. I finally have a weekend off and my girl is out of town. I'm so happy to be back on the force, things are finally starting to fall back into place. I know Ricky is having a tough time right now dealing with the separation. So I text him, "Hey man, you want to hang out and watch some sports?"

He responds a couple minutes later, "Yeah man, come on over. John just fell asleep."

We are chilling, just watching basketball.

I ask, "So how are you holding up?"

He sighs and rolls his eyes, "My wife is shacking up with her ex-boyfriend because I supposedly cheated on her. How do you think I am doing?"

I reply, "Why don't you go to her and tell her that you didn't."

He says, "I've tried that, she knows I didn't. She just wants to make me pay for working too much. Giving her the kind of life she dreamed of. She has no problem spending the money; I'm putting in all these hours for!"

I say, "Did you cut her off?"

Ricky says, "She's my wife, everything that is mine is hers. She can fucking have it all!"

I reply, "You can't mean that."

He just looks down; he looks so broken and defeated.

He says, "God Amy is so impossible! I can't do anything right. Nothing even happened with Amanda and I fired the poor girl."

I say, "What if she tries to sue you for wrongful termination?"

Ricky says, "I'm not an ass, I gave her a year of health insurance and a pretty nice severance package. She was grateful and she did hit on me so she knew that Amy was going to make sure she was out of there."

I say, "Well I mean Grace and I didn't work out. I'm madly in love with Kayla. Maybe there is someone else out there for you."

Ricky says, "Amy was it for me, I'm done. Seriously, this is my karma for all the hearts I've broken. I don't deserve to be happy."
